I watched it in with other people, and I remember walking up to someone at the end like:

Okay, but I was so glad my silly guy wasn’t dead, I would have cried.

I also love to explain his “death” scene using actor’s names because he and Adam have the same VA, so it’s like:

Alex decided to stand up to Alex for his friends, but Alex wouldn’t be defeated by Alex. So Alex killed Alex, only for Alex to not die, however Alex did die by the end of the episode, but at least Alex got redemption.
