Jason Mendal headcanons

I wrote these headcanons for fun, however, keep in mind that there is only a few episodes of MCL NG out by now, so I may be wrong about some ideas due to later revelations. (I've also added some NSFW headcanons under the cut!)

-He loves luxury restaurants, especially Italian food, and everything expensive and exotic that is the specialty of five-star chefs.

-He has a limousine and a driver, but he only uses them on special occasions, since he prefers to drive his own car.

-If he were an animal he'd identify with a panther, a wolf or a shark

-He likes to listen to jazz.

-He made an anonymous Twitter account that he uses to insult Devemenentiel members (later Thomas found it and hacked it to permanently ban it, lol)

-He usually wears cologne, his favorites are “Sauvage” by Dior, and “Eros” by Versace (obviously very expensive and brand name)

-He doesn't feel close to his family. Most of them are unbearable to him, with a few exceptions.

-He tends to think that stable romantic relationships are a waste of time. Most of his romantic relationships in the past didn't last very long, almost all of his former lovers complained that "he was married with his job" or that "he was a self-centered asshole". He never had enough time for them and he got bored of them because they were not intelligent or interesting enough to him (something that changes with newsucrette/Ysaline)

-He likes women with self-confidence, who know what they want and are capable of challenging him.

-His poliosis was a consecuence of his Waardenburg syndrome. That syndrome also causes on him to suffers from partial deafness and has vision problems. However, he hides all this by using a very discreet hearing aid and contact lenses. Almost no one knows this except a few people very close to him, Jason hides these problems from the people at his company and any competitors to avoid look weak.

-He's afraid of one day becoming completely deaf, so he learned to read lips and sign language.

-He doesn't want to have children, partly because he doesn't have time to raise them, but mostly because he fears they could inherit the physical problems he has, like a partial or complete deafness.

-Since he was little he was always very good at maths.

-Jason pretends he was always popular, but he was quite nerdy at school, something that he decided to change later in high school and college, he went from being the nerd boy who other made fun of to being the popular boy who insulted and bullied the others.

-During his childhood and teenage years he used to dye his hair so that other children would not mess with him, but as an adult he learned to leave his natural white streaks with self-confidence and to see them as an attractive and unique feature.

-He likes the beach, the pool and going on a yacht. He hates mountains and nature.

-He likes to go to the theater and museums. He knows a lot about the life and work of artists, but he doesn't know as much about art itself, although he pretends he does.

-He has the philosophy of “the end justifies the means” and also that money does give happiness, or at least it can help buy it.

-As a child he learned to play the piano, but as an adult he has thrown away most of his former hobbies from his little free time, because he no longer has time for any of that.

-He got that tattoo on his arm because he lost a big bet once, but since Jason never talks about his defeats, when someone asks him, he says that he got that tattoo just because he wanted to and without any reason or meaning beyond the aesthetic.

-Devon was one of the few true pals Jason really respected and appreciated in the past, before “something” happened between them and they became enemies. Each of them has a different version about what really happened in mind, so that hostility due to differences in povs became increasingly stronger as the years went by. (Probably in this case it is Jason who is not right, but he is too proud to admit that he was wrong.)

-He felt attracted to newsucrette/Ysaline from the first moment he saw her. At first it was just desire and he wanted to manipulate her, but over time that feeling grew stronger and turned into love. Something that he also tried to ignore and deceive himself, denying it until he realized about the truth. He knew that maybe she would hate him, that maybe he would hurt her, that everything could end very badly, but still he couldn't resist to try it.

Regardless of what anyone says, Kiryu doesn’t want to get rid since he keep saying it’s a good format for the orphans (when they were younger maybe but not anymore) and how this dinosaur was the property of Kazama-San and we’re of good use when kashiwagi and him were watching over younger Kiryu and Nishiki. As always, another thing Kiryu remains hard headed on which doesn’t surprised his sworn brother since he see it as an extension of his lack of fashion sense. Majima keeps clowning him since seeing Kiryu walking out of this atrocity in burning anger is the most hilarious thing ever.

Akiyama (A Older model of a regular sedan):

Partly out of pure laziness, having to deal with expensive cars and their issues but he got it from a client who wanted to get rid of their old vehicle so he jump on the occasion. Hana doesn’t like it since it’s uncomfortable for her (for being so small and barely functioning right). She thinks he could’ve afford wayyyyyyy better than a (probably) discontinued second hand car with inexistent resale value.

  Haruka (A Regular Civilan Family Car):

Also the simplicity of her also shows her current life as civilian and desiring a normal life like everybody else. While Kiryu is understanding of her choice, Nagumo and the crew (lowkey) expected her to take a larger (for more kids to come) but Kiryu shut down that idea and how its not happening before Mr.Yuta officially marries Haruka. BY THE WAY HER CAR IS RED just sayin…

80s Nishiki (Retro & Flashy):

Slick Back Nishikiyama (Expensive & Conservative): ex: white porche or mercedes Changing his mentality, goals and outlook on life also affected his vehicle choice. Nishiki sold his all retro flashy car to separate vfrom his old image of being easy going and a (bitch) weak boss. By doing that he wants people to take him more seriously so he can climb the Yakuza ladder, so he goes for safe and conservative in many things including his fashion style. Yumi: doesn’t know how to drive.

Saejima (Thick car):

Daigo (what the chairman deserves)

pic: Rolls Royce Phantom VIII In all his Tojo-related activities, he usually get around by his driver in a limousine. He has a Black Rolls Royce that he almost never uses. Even though Mine and many of his subordinates encourage him to use it to match his boss/ex-boss status (or stature as man Mine would say). He doesn’t like too much the negative attention on him especially when he’s visiting Kiryu or doing personal things. All this goes with him being a shit driver (sorry daigo-chan) regardless owning a valid driving license. The brat side of his younger self remained since he prefers having a driver than doing it himself even after the disbandment of the Tojo Clan (which Mine and all his ‘’uncles’’ are glad to do so).

Majima: there are things he is actually cheap and lazy about. Taking after daigo, he doesn’t presently owns a valid driving licence, the one he previously owned (to destroy Shangri-La) got revoked and suspended ever since. He doesn’t want all the trouble and the paper work to get it back. since Saejima can’t drive his kyoudai around town on demand; he elected Minami and Nishida to be his personal drivers. Regardless he still sometimes takes some driving strolls by himself, we he does he takes Daigo’s Rolls Royce, which he himself gave to the fourth chairman as a birthday present. So that’s why he always tells him he has the right to use the car as he pleases. Daigo doesn’t mind and actually thinks his car finds Majima’s style better.

Ryuji (Ryuji being Ryuji):

It is the car he owned while in the Tojo Clan, it would be natural for him to get rid of it but he seems to be satisfied with the older car (he can’t find another one who could as charming as this one). He does most of his travels by foot so its not like he can be seen in his car anyway. 

Yakuza 7/Like A Dragon Ichiban & The Crew:

pic: Redesigned Volkswagen The VW Van Type 2 It’s the first car Ichiban and Nanba got coming out of homelessness as soon as Ichi got his driving license from the vocational school. They got it from a scrap (a place where they stock old car they think are no good anymore) in almost perfect condition from one of Nanba’s homeless plugs. They got it fixed and upgraded by Sumire Sawa (the repairs chick). While Adachi was not the type to roll around in such flashy car, it officially became the LAD Crew’s official car. Saeko did some touchs up and decoration (with Seonghui funds) and VOILAAA! It’s now a place where they can both drive long distance and sleep (not all 7 but at least a few). Ichiban and Nanba like it the most since it’s reminiscent of their upgrade from the homeless life and can always be an option instead of bothering Kashiwagi at the bar (at least when Adachi does, he pissed him off so many times).

Zhao is less hyped about it. He keeps emphasizing on how he prefers hotels and a warm bed. He keeps repeating how he never been in a vehicle ‘’this cheap’’. He always find excuses to not go in it, deep down he’s just covering the fact that he is very uncomfortable sharing small spaces with many other people. Those scenarios brings up his uneasiness with everything outside the realm of lavishness or the comfort of the Liumang Headquarters. As for Joon-gi, while he constantly complains about not having enough space to breathe or the car being unconventionally ‘’tacky’’ and has never seen anyone in neither Japan or Korea driving a car like this. He low key likes it since it reinforces the family-like bond all the members of the party have. It also feeds into one of the deepest fantasies he had during his younger years which was to have siblings to quench his childhood loneliness.

They use this car especially for road trip and doing camping which ichiban succeeded to being everyone on their last camping trip.

Eri (Common Japanese Box Car)

While his unique extravagance is showcased trough his vehicle choices, they are mostly reserved for a spectacular entry at parties and for the grams. It helps Akutsu since he always fantasized about being a rapper *play Zico’s VENI VEDI VICI* (especially the American ones he sees on TV/online) at least living the hip hop lifestyle (money, power & bitches) and being the face of RK helps him accomplish that goal.

Soma thinks all of this is completely foolish since his cars spend most of their time biting the dust in his garage and most of them are OBVIOUSLY too small for his 6’ 5’’ gigantic frame. WHAT ELSE TO EXPECT FROM A FLASHY IGNORANT FOOL ANYWAY?

Prompt #9 - Pheromone Supervillain x Sentient Swarm Villain

Tldr: Supervillain is out of touch with reality but is now obsessed over a random Villain. They attempt to woo them. Supervillain sucks at it and is low-key a morosexual. Luckily Villain fits the bill

Supervillain was obsessed and when Supervillain is obsessed things don't go well for others.

They got what they wanted, no matter what it may be. They wanted money, they robbed the largest bank and became a multimillionaire. They wanted power, they used their pheromones to hypnotize legions of Villain's to do their bidding. They wanted fun, they created an entire theme park just for them.

So when Supervillain became interested in a new Villain that hit the crime scene they instantly knew they would have them.

This new Villain was so mysterious. They were always covered head to toe by whatever uniform fit their villainous occasions. A beekeeping suit, an old school diving suit, they were once even spotted in a space suit with (what Supervillain assumed to be) one way mirror glass.

The mystery of what was under that suit only added to the allure of Villain, and the fact that their covered suits probably had some type of air filtration both annoyed and intrigued Supervillain. It meant they wouldn't immediately be under Supervillain's control. It meant Supervillain could have fun with a real person over one of their pheromone zombies. It meant they could play hard to get, and the thought of Villain playing hard to get only made Supervillain want them more.

And what Supervillain wants Supervillain gets.

It was a normal Thursday afternoon for Supervillain. They had their zombies searching the city for any sign of Villain while they played with the dial on a police walkie, scanning up and down the channels trying to find that one special request for backup. They stopped when they finally found what they were looking for. An armed robbery in the financial district by a masked villain. Their Villain. They immediately jumped in the back of their limousine and order the driver to the scene of the crime at once.

Several sharp turns and a backseat manicure later Supervillain arrived to a large familiar bank blocked off with police tape and cruisers. They stepped out of the limo as if they were stepping onto a red carpet. Their sickly-sweet scent swept across the scene, causing the dozens of officers to hold their fire.

Supervillain hummed, pleased with themselves as they walked over to the officer holding a microphone that was attached to the speaker on top of their cop car. They took the mic, gave it a couple test taps before taking over "hostage negotiation".

"Hello my sweet Villain~ Why don't you come out to play with me for a bit? Open the door so I can hear you properly. I've taken care of those pesky officers so it's just you and me honeybun~" In truth, Supervillain wanted Villain to come out so they could get a chance to break their suit. They could picture their perfect Villain losing their mind from one whiff of their pheromones. Who knows, maybe Villain could convince them to keep them sane for their enjoyment. The possibilities were endless.

Villain cautiously stepped out of the bank wearing their typical beekeeping attire. "Great" Supervillain thought, "it'll be much easier to tear through that fabric."

"Who are you and what do you want?" Villain asked flatly, nearly giving Supervillain a heart attack. They didn't know who they were?! Villain didn't know one of the literal kingpins of crimes? Didn't know that Supervillain was the first one to rob this very bank Villain was holding up! Supervillain had to bite their lips to keep themselves from shouting at Villain for their ignorance. They forced a smile as they continued talking.

"It's fine that you don't know who I am darling~ You'll know soon enough. For now all you need to know is that I'm very interested in you. I have something very special in mind so if you could be a lamb and get in the car I'd be delighted." Supervillain haughtily declared, voice thick and sweet like honey.

"Nah, I'm good. Thanks for taking care of the police though." Was all Villain said before shutting the door again.

Supervillain gawked at the sheer audacity Villain had. No one turned down Supervillain. No one! Not corrupt mayors or just heroes. But yet here Villain was being a complete nusiance. It made them furious but at the same time really attracted to Villain. Walking up those bank steps to confront Villain made their cheeks burn in embarrassment.

They threw open the door to find Villain standing by the front desk. They smoothed their hair back in a self-soothing gesture before continuing their conversation.

Supervillain was also exasperated but for an entirely different reason. Villain took over an entire bank with heavy security, metal detectors, bolted vaults, and a tougher lockdown than Fort Knox just for a pen!?! That had to be the dumbest thing Supervillain has ever heard!

They needed to kiss this Villain right this second.

Supervillain, who was now blushing like crazy, averted their eyes before speaking once again. "I'll get you a million pens if you come with me."

Supervillain screeched and shook their arms before sprinting around the bank trying to get away from the bugs now chasing them. Bees and wasps swarmed after them while Villain was still by the closet trying to cough up those butterflies in their stomach.

Supervillain cried while shaking a pen at the insects in a menacing fashion before throwing it across the bank half expecting the insects to chase after it. "I just wanted to ask you on a date! Was that so hard!? Stupid me scared of stupid rejection! Take your bugs back! Please!"

"You don't think I'm trying?! I don't want my precious bugs to get hurt! They literally are a part of me! It's like having your liver just running around willy nilly! If you're covered in pheromones or something like that then my bugs probably see you as their host or queen or something!"

Villain finally caught their breath from coughing and took a moment to recuperate. At the very least they were happy the bugs covering the cameras stayed in place, probably because they were too high for the scent to reach. After they took their minute they walked over to Supervillain and began to scoop the insects off of them and back into their suit.

"So have your thoughts about me changed. You know, from the bugs and everything?" Villain asked now curious about what they thought. Supervillain was thankful Villain tried to help them but now they were panicking over the fact that Villain was touching them.

"Oddly enough, no not really" they honestly replied. "Just as long as your bugs don't eat me I still would want to try dating you. You still drive me crazy either way but I still don't know if it's in a good way or a bad way."

Villain mulled it over before replying. "Well then if you're still offering a date I wouldn't mind going. I mean you already seem to know a lot about me so I think it'd only be fair if I got to learn more about you. Just make sure you bring some good pens with you."

With that Villain grabbed a piece of paper, wrote their number on it and handed it to Supervillain. They turned to leave but turned back around for one last remark.

"I think we should get along alright if you're worried about that. You already got my bugs to like you so you practically have my heart. Well, at least my liver anyways. Be safe going home!"

Supervillain looked in shock as Villain left before doing the one thing they were hoping for this entire time. They put Villain's contact info in their phone under the name "The One" as a Blue Morpho landed on their head.
