Abridged backstory / general info under the cut :D

They spent their youth wanting to become a marine biologist, and were on track to become one, alongside their childhood best friend Rosie— until meeting Norman Osborn in college. The two connected strongly, and when Norman founded Oscorp he nearly begged Otto to come work with him. Otto took up robotics and didn’t look back. Otto and Norman only grew closer over the years, united by shared intelligence and passion for their work. After Norman’s somewhat messy divorce with his wife and falling-out with Oscorp’s co-founder Roderick Kingsley, he and Otto became near inseparable. After doing some introspection, Norman realized he’d had romantic feelings for Otto since they met. They are now happily married and living together :]

Otto is currently working with Max Dillon to engineer a sustainable power source for her tentacles! The tentacles speak to him like in the Raimiverse (the novelizations specifically) but they don’t have the same influence over him. They’re like four overeager and very protective puppies welded to his spine LMAO.

Very “goofy parent” vibes!! Extremely chill and content dude. Very passionate about their work, but in the same way a stereotypical American dad loves fishing yknow.  Probably owns “world’s best stepmom” and “world’s best stepdad” mugs that he circulates between LOL

Very fond of Harry Osborn. Harry honestly likes Otto more than he likes his own dad, and Norman and Otto living together is the only reason why Harry sees Norman frequently at all.

current film student in uni, hasn't been expelled bc of criminal activity (yet to be caught) and tech/robotics enthusiast since before the womb. partnered with herman's business in the criminal world (partly to pay for uni fees), providing robotic dupes and hallucinogenic smoke bombs for gangs to evade police. adores herman but also gets mad he won't charge more for their work

quentin's robots will act on its own with a default code (clients are mostly robbers anyway). if needed quentin can transfer the program into a lil remote he gives the client or his gauntlets, then run specific sequences with them -- the latter option for robots he's personally using and actively directing

He used to be a biology teacher at Midtown High— after incidentally turning himself into an anthropomorphic lizard, he initially kept his job, but people began to fear he would harm their children (though there was no evidence to suggest he would, just prejudice). He was slandered by the Daily Bugle and fired from his job. Now he works at Oscorp, where he’s treated much more kindly :]

meet harriet osborn, aka the green spider. she is inspired heavily by the plot of the insomniac spiderman game for ps4.

harriet and her mother had many research stations throughout the city of new york where they looked into effects oscorps chemical byproducts had on the environment. each station had a specific purpose and monitored a specific thing. after harriets mother died, norman osborn defunded all but one of the stations. it was a research station for a synthetic fungus that seemed to heal its environment. harriet and her mother planned to use it in the cities parks to heal wildlife there, and hopefully they could adapt it to survive water as well ! norman seemed particularly interested in this project, and harriet knew that was the only reason he kept it going. nevertheless she worked ceaselessly on her mother's project as she watched oscorp polite the city more and more with blatant disregard for its citizens. one day as harriet was testing the healing fungus on a wounded spider, she knocked a vile off of the counter and it shattered on the floor. already exhausted and drained, she bent over to pick up the pieces of glass without realizing she'd left the spider container open. when she looked back to it the spider was gone. she searched around for the spider for almost a minute before feeling a sharp pinch on the back of her hand. in a moment of surprise she flung the spider into the wall where it splatted. she felt horror and disgust with herself for killing another living being, but it began to move and... rebuild itself. she blinked in amazement, the fungus couldn't be working that well. she decided she needed to go get some sleep

cut to her experiencing inhuman healing, spider like powers, etc etc anddd the green spider is born !!

Remember that diamondverse plot point where I wanted Tinkerer to be a spy for Doc Ock? Here it is

Essentially, Tinkerer carries tasks such as implementing failsafe mechanisms in the Syndicate's tech and equipment, reporting their whereabouts and plans

He adheres to the disorder (he initially doesn't know) in order to calm Otto's nerves in hopes that he could see reason

Instead, it feeds into the constant suspicions and accusations that will eventually push the group away when Otto does start to try and care about them.
