Not all "difficulty breathing during exertion" is "exercise-induced asthma."
If someone has SOB, wheezing, and difficulty EXhaling with any kind of exercise, treat as asthma with a beta-2 agonist.
Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) develops after 5-15 minutes of exertion (especially in dry air, like a track rather than the wet air of a pool) and lasts ~15 mins. Warm up for 10-15 mins +/- beta-2 agonist. May be asthma precursor.
Exercise-induced laryngeal dysfunction and/or vocal-cord dysfunction (VCD) is difficulty INhaling +/- stridor due to exertion. Refer to Speech for vocal relaxation rather than a beta-2 agonist.

Rotator cuff tears
Rotator cuff tears is one of the most common causes of shoulder pain. A torn rotator cuff can also cause weakness of the shoulder.
Our shoulder joint is like a ball (the upper end of the humerus bone) and socket (glenoid). The ball is larger than the socket. The Rotator Cuff muscles are those muscles that surround the shoulder joint. There are four muscles, which combine to form a sheet of tendon and attach on to the upper end of the humerus bone.Their job is to provide the power to lift and rotate the arm and to make sure the ball is within the socket while moving the shoulder.

RECTUS ABDOMINIS MUSCLE AND FASCIA ABDOMINALIS [FASCIAL ADHESIONS] Fascial adhesions can “adhese” two otherwise gliding interfaces, resulting in loss of motion between them, and therefore less joint range of motion and less flexibility of the body. In the videos, we see fibrous fascial collagen fibers accumulating between the fascia abdominalis and the underlying rectus abdominis muscle (Video 1) as well as between the external abdominal oblique and internal abdominal oblique (Video 2), which can lead to less range of motion and less flexibility in the fascia abdominalis. The fascia abdominalis is connected in cranial direction with the fascia pectoralis and in caudal direction with the fascia lata. That’s why these restrictions can lead to problems in core, spine or extremities! This amazing cadaver demonstration by @DrJoeMuscolino explains how important it is to release adhesions between those structures! Cadaver labs are the best way to learn the architecture of the body, for muscles and fasciae, to learn the attachments. If we know muscle and fascia attachments, we can figure out muscle/fascia actions, and from there, figure out all muscle/fascia function and dysfunction. A tight or shorten rectus abdominis can lead to muscle imbalances and therefore to lower back problems! Rectus abdominis muscle trigger points can lead to referred pain in stomach, thigh and lower back as you can see on the red marked zones in picture 5. Sever Disease is calcaneal apophysitis, an overuse irritation of the cartilaginous spot where the Achilles tendon attaches to the calcaneus (heel bone). It is seen most often in active children 7-14 years old. Diagnosis is as simple as reproducing the pain by squeezing the heel. As long as the child can walk/play without limp, a padded heel cup is sufficient treatment. Labs and imaging are not required. However, if the pain causes the patient alter his/her gait, then s/he needs to sit out of the offending activity. IF there is swelling or mechanical disruption (catching, locking), then it's NOT Sever Disease, and you should look for another cause.
TL;DR: There is no need to SEVER the foot in Sever Disease; supportive care generally suffices.
Pro Tip: Sever Disease is to the ankle what Osgood-Schlatter Disease is to the quadriceps tendon and tibial tuberosity. An analogous upper extremity injury is proximal humeral epiphysiolysis aka Little League Shoulder. For an excellent breakdown, see Little League Shoulder.
