@andrevasims tagged me on their amazing pics of McCloon's Home for Wayward Cats and through that I realized inseminator is down and there aren't easy places to grab squinge's mods. So here is a reupload of Always Accept Pet. It is what it sounds like--you can sell a pet to whoever and they will always say yes (assuming they have enough money). Since insimenator is still down, I decided to upload what I had and managed to find from my bookmarks + wayback, here.

*Regarding TNW / TheNinthWave, I'm not sure if these files are available on their website? I would assume so, but I didn't feel like searching for them so I included them just in case. Also MUCH love to Squinge for including a description of what the mod does in (most of) their downloads. Nearly all downloads included here has a wayback link to the original post if I felt it necessary.

Note #1: it's possible some of the cc/mods I archived could be available on other places (if they had accounts elsewhere for example) but again, I didn't feel like double-checking that everytime, so I included the ones I had/wayback had archived (it's also never a bad idea to have more than one download link). I also included the two mods previously re-uploaded to packrat from squinge.

Note #2: Squinge's "Pregnancy Wear Any Outfit" mod had not been archived, and I didn't have Squinge's original mod anymore since I use Midge's fixed version! Which is identical (and better, since they fixed a bug) so I don't see any point in trying to find Squinge's original :-) Midge's fixed version is not included in this archive though, grab it here.

Note #3: I did not archive nobody7382 / dickhurt /df's mods, since they are available on MTS. Same with Menaceman44's stuff.

Note #4: some mods I got from squinge via this archived list, may or may not be compatible with M&G/UC, I'm not sure.

You can choose between downloading everything in one file, or separate:

Hi lamare! I asked this a while back but ig tumblr ate it. Is there a simple way I could make cashiers be young adults instead of teens? Similar to squinges mod that allows babysitters to be young adults. If you already saw, feel free to ignore. Thank you!

Hi! I'll tell you, but testing is on you, ok? 😏

So, cash register calls "Controller - NPC Pool" (group 0x7FB55274) and that one calls global BHAV # 140 "NPC - Get Template Age/Gender/Color in T[0,1,2]" to find out specifics about an NPC to be created

Export this BHAV in a new package and edit

On line 15(21), we find a check for NPC Type Register Clerk. It goes to the next line 16(22) to set age to teen: (Local 0x0000 (Age) := Const 0x0104:0x0B ("Make Teen" Value: 0x0004))

To change it to Young Adult you have to use another constant: Const 0x0104:0x12 ("Make Young Adult" Value: 0x0040))

That's it. Hopefully, age only matters at the creation point and there are no other age checks for cashiers after that, but I don't know (I haven't tested this)

It's supposed to only affect newly generated NPCs, so you'll have to do something about the existing teen clerks (make playable? kill?)

Also, I don't know what will happen with their outfit, the green apron probably won't fit. There's another BHAV for that, global # 137 "NPC - Get Outfit GUID for Type in T[0,1]", but it uses Lua, and it's not simple to edit. There may be a way to default replace the outfit with something for adult body

This is so Zac Oyama coded. I personally think Riz would eat a pencil or just like a whole book. You wouldn’t hear paper tearing. You’d just hear a really nice crunchy munchy sound.

Gorgug, however, would very politely, very quietly eat a single piece of paper. Any of Zac’s characters for that matter. Himbo “health” freak, Rabbit nerd, Magical weapon hyperfixated nerd, SQUINGE, Brain slug, Combat nerd/himbo, Literal fucking cat.

Hell, three of his characters are in a world where everything is food, and one of his characters is on record eating letters. That leaves the brain slug, the cat, and fucking Ricky. (and Gorgug of course, but you know that cutie would eat paper for any number of reasons)

Riz gukgak eats paper when he is hungry but isnt in a situation where he can go get food. If you hear a paper tearing in the back of the classroom just know he wanted a snack

Simulated sales in OFB business made optional and lot-based

My health continues to be somewhat cooperative, allowing me to create and be active in the community, so I thought I'd start releasing some of the mods I've had in my game for a long time but never shared. Today's offering is my alternative to BoilingOil's simulated sales, creating a global add on to cash registers that allows you to set a sales type on a lot by lot basis, rather than the global all businesses approach that BO took :)

For those unfamiliar with BO's original mod, a simulated sale is one where the business owner gets paid, but the customer does not lose household funds nor do they receive anything in inventory. Helpful if you do not want your townies to come with inventories full of freebies they never actually paid anything for, or if you don't want your playables to burn their household funds as visitors on owned businesses :) Squinge came up with the idea originally, with his shopnosaveitem that made playables do fake purchases, and then BO added to it by making it fake for all customers. I found myself somewhere in between, wanting some sales to be fake, and others to be real. My poor farmers and crafters work hard to make their goods, having them vanish is depressing, but I don't need my Sims going around with cars in their pockets either. So I created this, which allows me to pick a different sales model for every business, giving myself more flexibility. I love flexibility!

Default behavior is normal sales. Through the settings (which appear on cash registers) you can choose to make them always be simulated, or to make them simulated only for playables, or only for townies (meaning anyone that isn't a playable Sim). The original normal/simulated I have been using without issues in my game for 6 years. Giving the option to treat playables and townies different is a recent edition, not as thoroughly tested but has worked fine in my recent tests. Changing the setting only applies to customers that got in line to pay after the setting changed. Anyone that was already waiting, will use the prior setting.

Conflicts with shopnosaveitem and simulated sales. Replaces both, so just remove them. Will conflict with anything that alters pie menus on cash registers, and likely with anything that adds BHAVs to cash register semi-globals. If you find one let me know and I will add known conflicts here. No promises to resolve them, depends on my health. Load order will not help, if there is a conflict it will need to be resolved, or you have to choose. UPDATE: Conflicts with simler90's Business Mod. I will not be making a compatible version, it's too complicated. If mine loads last, you will get my functionality but lose any of his that revolve around cash register purchases, so it's up to you if you feel his mod or mine is most important to you :) UPDATE: Conflicts with Numenor's global mod that adds practice interaction to cash registers. If you use Numenor's mod, please download this compatible version instead. Load mine last, and both will work :)

No clue what EPs are required. I am on M&G, that's what I mod for. Should be fine in UC. Whether or not it works on something lower, I do not know.

Squinge was last active on MTS back in april, and they have insimenator listed as their website, is Squinge perhaps the owner then?

And I am going to play her story ... if I time it right, Sunset Valley will (I will work out the details of this) "Become" Pleasantview ... and I will get to watch poor Bella grow up before the storm hits, the tragedy that shatters her earth and wipes her mind of her family!!!

This is Simis Bachelor, straight from the Sims 3. His traits are Handy, Neurotic (I have a HILARIOUS trait mod in the works for Neurotic), Inappropriate (hilarious) Family Oriented and Frugal!

Why is Simis out on the balcony in his underwear, you might ask.

But the answer is clear.

You guessed it: trait mods.

Be sure to also check out @episims mod : Towel by Color Trait here! There are effects for Inappropriate Sims! I prefer HB's change into underwear.

Simis Bachelor also likes to use the telescope to "Spy on" other Sims in the neighborhood because he is Inappropriate using this mod which is Fway and Squinge's Spy on Neighbors mod. Fway just adds the trait stuff :)

Jocasta Bachelor is the mother of Bella Goth and her traits are Green Thumb, Over-Emotional, Loner, Coward, and Angler.

Michael Bachelor is depicted as Bella's brother to her right(as we all know). His traits are Loves the Outdoors, Athletic, Friendly, and Schmoozer.

Lots of trait mods for those traits just search them using the tracker made by @noodlebelli

Her favorite color (@episims) is red (Duh) and her traits are Brave, Good, and Lucky! LOL. Did Sims 3 really say that her tragic story was lucky of her? Maybe it was a dig at Mortimer!!

Oh, and in the Sims 2 Sunset Valley recreation, Mortimer and Bella are friends just like in Sims 3!

Im stoked. I, and hopefully all of you tuning in, will get to see Bella's life before the storm... before the hurricane ... before ... the abduction.

what are the best ui mods or modernization mods that add useful qol features or general gameplay improvement from s3 and s4 to sims 2 in your opinion?

I don't use any UI mods, I've always preferred the Sims 2 UI to any of the other games. The other color schemes tend to hurt my eyes, I find a can play longer with the Sims 2 blue

I use the 3t2 Traits Project and feel that it adds some nice character work to my game, I can randomize traits for Sims then use them for inspiration in how I play them. Downtown Build/Buy Mode enabler will let you get into a Sims inventory on community lots so they can bring food and stuff on outings, the Bon Voyage update is on this page and works with all EPs

@midgethetree made playable mermaids, ghosts, and genies, and a bunch of other mods to expand game play, especially with the supernatural sims

Squinge has mods that are worth looking through, although some are out of date or have been incorporated into the Traits project. Lamare's page on Mod The Sims has a bunch of cool stuff: More Lifetime Wants, the Gardening Overhaul, and Job Options are some of my favorites. Simler90 has a ton of mods, I use the Toy & Games and Business mods. Numenor has a mod to let Sims sleep on Community lots and various people have done Community Skilling mods. I use a lot of Cyjon's mod, they haven't been active in a while and and sometimes other Simmers update their mods but the original site is still worth going through

@episims has some mods that add features to in game stuff like Biotech station and sunlamps. BSTU made a ts3 style Cooking System but I haven't used it

There's a massive amount of Sims 2 mods because the game has been around for so long, and everyone has different mod needs because we all play the game differently. The best advice is to find a few modders you like and go through their stuff, they usually talk about other mods they like which will help you find more modders that fit your game style

Oooooooh what do I love about them oh noooooo I’m about to talk for sooooooo long.

Ok. Well part of what I love is kind of out of their control, and that’s the sprawling epic love story that has played out in this incredible hyperdocumented multimedia archive of the journey from puppy love —> real love —> guarding and protecting that love —> choosing one another consistently through stages of life —> working through incredibly hard life challenges together —> cracking open the shell encasing their love in order to share it more and more with the world. It’s just so beautiful to have witnessed. Seeing how they have grown around one another, adapting to match one another’s best traits and draw them out of eachother, god. Something special.

I love that dan is exceedingly vulnerable and open about weird, tough shit. I love that he’s really thoughtful about what he puts out into the world. Like, he cares about his contributions a lot and how he spends his precious time on this planet. It matters to him, and I appreciate that it matters.

I love that Phil is exceedingly generous in his view of others; he seems to see the light in people and the humor in hard moments and he seems to move through things with kindness and grace. He also projects such a secure sense of self. He knows who he is, what works for him, and he isn’t interested in pretending to be anything else.

I think they’re both really superb examples of living with mental illness. Phil is socially anxious and health anxious as all shit, but look at him!!! Look! At! Him! Dan manages chronic depression along with a whole fuckload of trauma, and look at him!!

They don’t mask much (I don’t think?), they’re just wonderfully, openly weird and celebrate their quirks. They candidly speak about their mental health shit but don’t let it stop them from living full, brave lives.

They are so respectful of their audience and really treat us as individual humans. They speak to us like people, they right their wrongs whenever possible, they have a brilliant ability to draw their audience into their content, they make people feel seen, they build so much creative work around what the audience gives them, and it’s really fucking cool how innate that has been for them from the start. They also just get it. They get internet culture, they get their fan base, and we’re lucky that they get it.

I think they’re so funny and are at their funniest when they aren’t trying too hard. Their banter is hilarious. The fainting during haircut story?? “I thought you were doing a little dance!” Dan’s hammock bracelet story?? “I was squinged up like a locust, like an accordion.” so funny!!!! They are so funny.

They have really taken the high road throughout their careers. They don’t talk shit, they stay out of drama, they treat others with decency and kindness, and they seem to be wonderful bosses too (such a good trait). When there have been endless opportunities for them to get dragged into pettiness or rightfully snap back at people, they have handled themselves with such grace

They understand the gravity of having influence. Despite obviously gunning for internet careers, they didn’t necessarily choose to have a significant influence on loads of young people, much like how most digital stars didn’t go into making digital content considering how much responsibility comes with a huge audience. It’s something I think kinda smacks a lot of people over the head as a sudden realization once their audience grows large enough. Some people then rise to that occasion and others don’t. Dan and Phil did.

They model creativity, kindness, collaboration, inclusivity, bravery, not taking yourself too seriously, self-growth and self love. It’s beautiful. All jokes aside, they are not terrible influences whatsoever. Look at the fan base they’ve cultivated! People found a home in them.

Also, they are hot.
