Fragaria announces sci-fi mystery visual novel Stellar Code for PC - Gematsu

Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch developer Fragaria has announced Stellar Code, a new science-fiction mystery visual novel due out for PC via Steam in August 2025 in Japan. There are also plans to support an English release in the future.

Stellar Code is the next-generation sci-fi mystery brought to you by the creators of Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch, a doujin visual novel that sold over 30,000 copies. We plan to support an English version in the future. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay tuned for further announcements.

Overview

Prepare to unravel an extraordinary mystery. While Stellar Code is a mystery visual novel, it deviates from traditional formats—there’s no need to identify culprits or decode intricate tricks. Instead, the mystery you must solve is a cosmic enigma rooted in the wonders of space and theoretical physics.

No Prior Knowledge Required You don’t need a background in science to enjoy this story. The keys to solving the mystery will be revealed as you progress through the narrative. All you need to do is question the unknown alongside the characters and immerse yourself in the unfolding story.

A Visual Novel Experience As a visual novel, the primary focus is on following the story and uncovering its secrets.

i don't think i'll ever get over the comedic timing of being prepared to intubate an obtunded patient going into worse and worse shock on three pressors code cart in room pads on having like six people all staring at the vitals anxiously as this person might code at ANY MOMENT, me standing at the head of the bed ready to tube the second we have a safe BP and the nurse from two doors down comes into the room and says, 'hey doc, room x is in asystole' and just. walks away.

i'm just. standing there. peri-coding this patient. and i'm calling after him 'uh.... are they supposed to be?!'

absolutely insane delivery. no context no info just 'hey, btw this person's heart stopped. :) bye ' HELLO!?!

#last night was just. something out of a med drama/comedy #keep in mind that i'm. at the moment. spending no more than 2-3 shifts a MONTH in the ICU. on NIGHT SHIFT.#it has been a month. i walk in. 3 admits in past hour #one that hasn't been seen #need to eval her real quick. ok.#start my PM rounds. look at one of the 'admits' through the door #completely obtunded not moving not responding to sternal rub....like ok. not good.#ok. 'hey can i get an ABG and the bipap?' to RT. vitals ok for now but i just KNOW he's hypercapnic #keep rounding. come to panicked nurse #patient in horrible septic shock super young maxed on 4 pressors would like an art line and triple lumen.#ok. 'can you get the line cart? i'll stop by after we finish rounding if it can wait 10 more mins'#ok. we're downstairs. charge nurse gets called.#'um that patient thats obtunded their pH is 6.8'#'welp. thats not compatible with life. time to intubate.' i tell her the meds to pull and she runs ahead #SOMEONE ASKS ME TO TRANSITION INSULIN DRIP TO SQ IN THAT MOMENT?! its just like. bro. that can wait (i still do it)#now we're in the room. pushing meds. he's becoming shockier. .crash cart please. pads on just in case.#nurse comes in. just saying 'hey room x is in asystole' super casually. i'm like what #apparently they were on comfort care and it was expected #which is HOW HE SHOULD HAVE LEAD THAT SENTENCE?!? LMAO #listen. i did not sit down or start documenting for the first 7 HOURS of my shift #and the craziest thing is that like. 5 people died during my shift. FIVE.#(all not unexpected and not needing to be coded but still. that is. not normal.)#and i come in to hand off. and the doc i hand off to is like #'yeah the most i've ever had die on one of my shifts is 8'#like bro are you trying to ONE UP ME?! on THIS?#medical tw #i was really lucky. the charge and the two floats were STELLAR. i sincerely dont know what i would have done without them #there were many other difficult things on that shift that don't feel appropriate to share #anyway watch the pitt. its exceedingly medically accurate. all my ER friends love it

i rememorized how to solve a rubik's cube!

#unfortunately i accomplished this at 3am last night ;-;#i stayed up late for hw again and then needed a break #i love my stellar class sm bc the prof is such a down to earth and silly guy #who really prioritizes student lesrning over grades #and i love that so so so very much #and the content in class is cool!!!#the hw just takes me forever #and with everything else i have to do it piles up and i keeping staying up late to do it ;-;#and then after doing that + staring at a screen/coding for so many hours in a row i need a break before i go to bed #and then i stay up later #and by that time it's too late for melatonin #so i end up staying up later bc even though i'm exhausted i can't fall asleep bc i'm anxious #about the fact that it's late + how little sleep i'm going to get + whether or not i'll sleep through my alarms #+ the parts of the hw i still have left + the one million tasks i've put off and still need to do #tldr: i got like 4 hours of sleep and woke up 30 mins before class and rushed to campus (i didn't get to shower)#and i barely ate anything and i feel like shit #i'm about to eat lunch but i am shaky and unwell #i keep telling myself i can't keep living like this but i can't figure out how to not be in this situations ;-;#<- oh wow that's a lot of tags o.o #if you got to the end of them pls know i love + appreciate you sm for listening to me <3 #i will be okay. just having a rough time rn #zip quips

Looks to the Moon’s puppet is suspended by her umbilical arm in zero-gravity, parsing through holographic screens as her robes and fins and pearls float around her. Her can sails smoothly through vacuum, subconsciously aware of her fleet following her at a distance.

A new display pops up with an alert. Swiping away the status of her refineries, she brings the new screen closer, going through the displayed report at the same time that she turns her attention to her communications array. Her eyes smile as she starts messaging her local fleet.

[LIVE BROADCAST] - PUBLIC GROUP [LOCALGROUP] Big Sis Moon, No Significant Harassment, Chasing Wind, Seven Red Suns, Unparalleled Innocence, Five Pebbles

BSM: Communications are back online! BSM: I hope you all behaved yourselves? NSH: Moon’s back! SRS: Oh thank the stars... UI: Hi Moon! CW: Welcome back, Moon. holy shit, huge win today as I sat down to try and figure out why I couldn't get my first head morph edit to work correctly after a whole year and I solved every problem there could have been 😭😭😭

#THERE WAS LIKE 8 CODING ERRORS ASDFGHJKL #literally losing my mind trying to figure out why the game was reading a whole separate path to my hmvy file and it turns out it was coming #from a whole different mod I attempted to make the head compatible with eotb mod #LIKE I KNEW EVERYTHING WAS CORRECT BUT IT STILL WOULDN'T WORK #mfer all I had to do was delete the separate attempted mod file #HOLY SHIT GUYS I MIGHT BE ABLE TO PLAY BG3 SOON #I have my custom armour and casual gear all set #half-assing a hair mod but just using the stellar mod + custom fringe mod #might clean up my body texture file a little bit more #but I think all I have left is to figure out how to make an eye mod < 3 #holy shit this has taken me like 2 years to complete #but hey I learned how to mod

it's been a while since i read leviathan wakes and i only got halfway through (i forgot to finish it ehehe) but it was a real experience reading it after having watched a few seasons of the expanse

the book has a lot of worldbuilding and the show explains the necessary parts but then alludes to the rest, or shows it so quickly that it didn't really register when i first watched it, so reading the book after had a lot of moments that are like "so THAT'S why it's like that!" like the structure of ceres station (it's underground and upside down to create artificial gravity) or why alex has a southern accent (mars was originally populated by mostly asians and texans)

at the same time, the show added a lot to the characters, like alex hiding that he's from mars until they're on the donnager and still having some loyalty to mars, but i feel like if you read the book first then this might've felt like an attempt to add more drama. which it was, but it was good drama that worked with the themes. alex is my favorite character in the show (trying to separate the character from the actor here, hard as that is), but i don't particularly care for book alex (sorry man). that little bit of martian loyalty in the show added so much, even with the concept more thoroughly explored through draper later on. good stuff.

#just thinking about how good this all was #the belters code switching was real good too. a truly stellar tv series based on some neat books.
