What's funny, tho, is that this applies, contrary to popular belief, to *writing* too.

Truly I hate to do this to you all but; you can watch all the videos and read all the blogs in the world but you cannot learn to sew without at some point picking up a piece of fabric and fucking it up. No tutorial exists that will stop you at some point ruining this poor piece of cloth. The visceral act of holding a project and wondering where you went wrong is the only way to learn sewing; you cannot escape it. I’m sorry

Good morning beauties! how r u all doing? is it finals week yet! we r here about to hit study week for undergrad students! fighting!! u got this! I am thinking about moving back home since I can't afford being on my own anymore... not sure when ... but I am thinking about it...its a very hot and beautiful day here! and I saw some nice white flowers on my way to the campus! I am quite ignorant with names of flowers or fish...so... what we can do at any given point in life is to try to stay afloat and try to do our best given the circumstances... lets do that and I think future gonna be ok :)

ok so i finished editing the canva sides laaaaaate last night but i couldn't download it (im the only one in our grp who can apparently find a pendrive to get) so it took me a bit to fall asleep cuz i was too busy worrying about wtf to do in the morning loll. anyways in the morning i js screenshotted + pasted all the slides onto powerpoint & printed & it works good enough? also practiced a bit more + also at skl in free time. the presentation itself went ok but i did get nervous and that certainly didn't help..

Good news: I finished my thesis outline! I have now a clearer path on what to write. The clock is still ticking though, so I will keep at it and put more hours into it this weekend. Get the actual draft done.

I'm not sure when to start moving the draft into Word so I can format it and all since it's such a pleasant experience to write in Obsidian. The convenience of not having to switch between multiple windows is unmatched, especially after the in-app browser update. I can view and highlight PDFs while having my notes open beside it and add links to the PDFs inside the note, I can also add hyperlinks and open them within the app itself. To have all of those features for free is unbelievable. I think anyone who enjoys writing should consider using Obsidian.

I read Writing To Think, Writing To Survive by Lexi Merritt, the blog was mentioned in one of Anna Howard's (A youtuber who also has a podcast called Wild Geese) videos. Here's an interesting quote which may also count as a study tip:

Perhaps unsurprisingly, this confrontation between what we know and what we don’t is an essential part of learning. In one study, participants that engaged in drafting essay-like summaries before a test performed better than those that took notes and memorized key terms.
