Queeringthemap.com Study
Hey! My name is Reese and I am currently working on a thesis about Queeringthemap.com and queer archival memory! As a part of this research, I want to hear from you! I am seeking participants who would be interested in having (roughly) hour long unstructured conversations about your experiences using Queeringthemap.com, how you feel about posting, reading posts, and its existence in the world as a collection of queer memory. These will occur over a video call and be recorded with your consent.
The only qualifications to participate are: you must have used Queeringthemap.com before (even just visiting the site counts!), self-identify as 'queer' or LGBT+, you must be 18 years or older, and you must be located in the US. Additionally, I am able to provide a $25 incentive for an hour of your time!
If you meet these qualifications and are interested in sharing your thoughts, you can reach out to me at [email protected]. If your comfortable sharing, let me know your name, age, where your located, and how you chose to identify! You can also reach out with questions, comments, or concerns– I would love to elaborate about the project so you feel you can make an informed decision to participate.
I look forward to including your voice in this research and get new perspectives on this site!

The actual Mary Magdalene
I will never forgive Pope Gregory I for what he did to Mary Magdalene and how she's been demonised for years because of it. Mary Magdalene was never a sex worker, and was one of the most devout women within the Bible. SHE WAS RIGHTFULLY AN APOSTLE, St. Thomas Aquinas even called her the Apostle to the Apostles, she only got a specific saint day (not a memorial day) in 2016-
Mary Magdalene has been destroyed by history, which she never deserved.

Progress update: Syan Semantics Study
Slightly different post than usual, but I wanted to talk about one of the extended projects relating to The Syana Project. The study I began conducting in June finished around the end of July, with the write up and data analysis gradually taking place over the summer. I aimed (foolishly) to have this paper finished by September, however life got in the way and due to the scope of not only this paper but The Syana Project as a whole, long-form writing projects take a while to get completed. I'm around 50% done with the study design section of the paper, which is what will take the most time to write. This means that, if other large projects don't get in the way, the paper should hopefully be complete within the year. No promises though, I have small amounts of time to devote to this paper between university, other Syana-related material, personal projects outside of Syana, etc etc. I'm gonna start making these progress updates on a number of Syana projects, so look out for those in the future.

On writing and money (part one).
What can American classics communicate about the pitfalls of a capitalist society? Is the American Dream dead?
“It was so hard to be poor, not to have money and position, and to be able to do in life exactly as you wished.” – Theodore Dresier, An American Tragedy In my high school English classroom, the last novel we studied was the American classic (and my favorite novel of all time) The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It is a timeless, powerful study of contemporary America and the ultimate denial…

Hello, dear people of Tumblr!
My friend needs participants for their forensic psychology study on the impact of a presentation on deepfake pornography!
Tumblr media
If you are currently living in the UK, over 18 and have access to a computer (because it does not work on phone), please consider giving a bit of your time to answer this survey.
(note: it does work if you are a foreigner currently living in the UK, but it does not work if you are British and currently living abroad)
The first part is 20 minutes long, and the follow-up is 10 minutes long a week later.
Here is the link.
If you do not fall under these conditions, please reblog so it may reach someone who does.
Thank you for your time!

Standing Male Nude from Behind with Rope in Hand. 1857. academic study. Bernard Romain Julien French 1802-1871. lithograph.
Not saying it's definitely a young Mark Twain nude, just suggesting it.
