A Baixa de Lisboa e a Avenida da Liberdade recebem, mais uma vez, o Super Bock em Stock, nos dias 24 e 25 de Novembro.  Foram ontem anunciados mais oito nomes para juntar ao cartaz que cada vez se encontra mais composto.…

O espaço dos concertos, a zona reservada ao campismo e o estacionamento foram aperfeiçoados. Tem sido assim todos os anos, desde a fundação, em 1995, mas no próximo verão queremos ir mais longe. A razão que nos move tem um lado sentimental: na última edição, contra a nossa e a vossa — do público — vontade tivemos, subitamente, em cima da hora, de sair da nossa casa, o Meco, e mudar o Festival…

Nick and Fetcher’s P.O.V

Nick: Now listen up mates cuz we don’t got no time to stay ‘ere and ‘ave a discussion! We’re very busy business rats! 

Fetcher: Unless you’ve got a cheese plate nearby,  that is….with some of ‘em honey graham crackers if you please!

Nick: Quiet you nit!  I’m going to start by sayin’ that we always found the chickens to be an ungrateful bunch! Fetcher an’ me really feel under-appreciated at times!....

Why just the other day, we was on our way back to the island with a special book we’ve gotten just for Mac to show the little nippers! (Didn’t bother to take a gander inside however).....Low and behold the crazy bird returns after an ‘our or so an’ nearly thrust the bloody thing back into our faces! .....Guess she didn’t like the “Cok-Bok” ....I could have sworn it would ‘ave been perfect for chickens with the cocking n’ bocking written on the front cover....apparently gave the little ones nightmares! 

Fetcher: ….but didn’t it turn out to be one of them poultry cook book??

 Nick: I dunno...don’t read so good...Anyway...don’t even get me STARTED on those little brats!

 Fetcher: Well, I think they’re kinda precious....

 Nick: Cheeky little monkeys keep ‘aving a bite at our tails because they look like worms! Nearly lost mine to one of Bunty’s chicks! ....Fetcher an’ me used to dream about our own egg farm. But being around the little ones has really put a damper on that fantasy.....ugh

Fetcher: I’d still like to be a daddy....

Nick: Thing is, we’ve sorta lost our taste for eggs now...but ‘ave moved on to bigger and better things! haha You know what they say; When a door closes , another one opens!

Fetcher: Like a window

Nick: See, Fetcher an’ me became very bored after a weeks of living on this ‘ere island…We’ve worked our claws to the bone rebuilding all of those huts...an’ after a while having an early retirement by the water side wasn’t what is was cracked up to be! (hehe, cracked up to be...get it? with the eggs and...crack...)

Fetcher: And by working ‘ard, we mean we just watched the chickens do everything! 

 Nick: Shut it , you ninny! Anyway…we began to miss our involvement in the business trade, we did..... And with the chickens no longer needing tools or jewellery, we had no customers to deal with no more! So I suggested we do some travellin’! We discovered it wasn’t very hard to get ourselves into a nearby town. We’d walk a little while an’ hit a country road. Then from there we’d hitch a ride on a passing cyclist or lorry! Going into town has become one of our favourite things to do… It’s pretty much heaven for us because of all the options for food and entertainment! 

Fetcher:  At the cinemas, we’d go mad with joy in the snack lobby; Digging through popcorn machines, taking a dive in the fizzy drinks barrels…an’ after our exercises we’d ‘ead over to catch ourselves a flick! We love the movin’ pictures, we do! Other times, we’d go to the nearby grocers an’ eat until we’re sick! And when the chickens ‘eard about our little journey into town, they gots reeeeeeeeaaaaal curious!

Nick: And that’s when us, THE  RATS came back in business!....Since the ladies have ‘ad enough of humans for a life time, they’ve  became reliant on us to go and get ‘em some of their missing goods;Things they could rarely get back at the farm! ....Back where we used to scavenge Mr.Tweedy’s sweet stash...the occasional cheese crumb...or even some of the missus’ knickers...ahhh memories!We’ll casually see our ol’ farmer friends in town in case you was wonderin’! The two of them ‘ave become avid veggie-lovers, it seems. Always stocking up on the greens instead of the hens! (wait until the others hear)

Fetcher: So since we are out risking out lives for the hens, we ask for somethin’ in return!

Nick: We are constantly out there dodging shoes, fly-swatters, an’ dogs! An’ that’s not even the half of it! In exchange, we often get feathers for our bedding, or the occasional chore taken care of etcetera, etcetera....Our cabin always shines like a diamond with all of those hens cleaning for us, and we sleep very well at night with the most comfortable of mattresses!  Life couldn’t be any grander...I’d even venture as far as saying our scavenging adventures ‘ave hit their highest point!

Fetcher: Like a cherry on an ice-cream sundae!

Nick: ....(actually makes sense)

 Hey guys! I’ve FINALLY posted yet another P.O.V story! I’m not super satisfied with this one...there were a few things I would have like to have added:

 -Their interaction with Rocky-Some more insight on their spying on the Tweedys-Maybe other things that Nick & Fetcher enjoy doing on the island-

But I could always re-write this P.O.V some day when I get the right ideas, and the time. I still hope you enjoy this one! I keep getting asked for the P.O.Vs so i’m trying my best to find the time/inspiration...which is kind of tough while juggling work and school! Please be patient!!

I’ve decided to make this a P.O.V of BOTH Nick and Fetcher saying their story together. The duo is always with each other anyway, and they really seem to bounce well off one another! 

-Random Nick and Fetcher memory: I used to watch Chicken Run religiously as a little kid, and I once brought the VHS to my grandma’s. She thought Nick & Fetcher were dogs at first, but then again she thinks a lot of things are dogs...<3 love my grandma haha
