Where you can see Sutekh:
In the morning sun.
In red berries. Especially when you feel their juice on your teeth.
In dandelions. Whether grown on the ground or asphalt, these plants always find the strength to live and tell everyone to go to hell.
In dark heavy clouds. Such bear His gifts more often.
In the rain.
In the thunder.
In lightning.
In storms.
In the winds. His whisper, gentle and strong.
In the rainbow.
In natural disasters. Sometimes His wrath is too strong.
In earthquakes.
In the snow and blizzards.
In the deserts.
In the oases.
In the eyes of animals. He flashes through them, like their desire to survive.
In donkeys. Inconspicuous animals, they are strong enough to replace dogs to protect herds.
In pigs. Unloved by many, but who can grow large and strong enough to be intimidating.
In rock and electric guitar.
In abandoned things and people.
In things that are broken but found new life.
In the image of the phallus and dicks.
In the word "no" when you defend your boundaries.
In a crowd at a rally, riot or uprising, whether in the people or the spirit itself.
In cheeks reddened from prolonged laughter or alcohol.
In new and old weapons.
In strategy games, especially military ones.
In cacti, succulents, feather grass, wormwood, camel thorn and other plants, that can survive in the desert.
In Ursa Major, because that is where His home is.
In falling stars and meteorites.
In various shiny things.
The collection contains various trinkets and sparkles that are pleasing to the eye.
In things created with your own hands, especially imperfect ones.
In vegetables, especially green ones, and especially in lettuce.
In food and people from other countries.
In the language and culture of foreigners.
In protecting and supporting those who need it.
In accepting your gender and sexuality.
In accepting your weirdness and negatives.
In funny jokes that you can see here and there.
In eclipse.
In red. In red things, food, clothes, symbols.
In fire.
In desire and action to continue to fight.
And in many, many other things. He is in every thing for me. I see His limitless forms in everything. Dua, Perfect God! Dua, Sutekh!

I feel Them in every my breath, it every moment. There is the Night, that comes every now and then. Her long stary hair and skin, Her wing with the feathers of cosmos. There is the Darkness, with very form of black, with every shadow and shade by His side, with black eyes and cold breath. There is the Desert, with my body as His temple, with my life as His devotion, with me as His child.
I love you and praise you, oh, mighty Gods!
Nyx-Nox, with eyes of stars, with strength of the time, Mother of the Daimons, bringer of the Night, I love you and praise you, I honour you, oh, my Mother!
Erebos-Scotus, with body of mist, with knowledge of the darkest, Father of the Light and Day, keeper od the Darkness, I love and praise you, I honour you, oh, my Father!
Sutekh, the bringer of the storms, with hair and eyes of red, the rebellious one, the one, whom I devote myself, my Parton, my Teacher, my Friend, my Mother and Father, I love and praise you, oh, my God!
Praise you all be!

Dua Sutekh, Adversary of Injustice, Destroyer of Is/fet, Defender of the Scorned, Protector of the Marginalized, Bring Thy Furied Storm Upon Evildoers, Bring Thy Blade Upon Ap/ep's Throat, Adversarial Setesh, Break The Heads Of Ap/ep's Kin, Let Ap/ep's Kin See Your Children, And Tremble In Fear Before Us, Dua Sutekh! -------------------- Devotional Art for Set, based on my workings and experiences with him as the archetype of Adversary, inspired by my times worshipping him in both a Kemetic Polytheist and Theistic Satanist/LHP lens. As a fem queer person, Set is extremely important to me. The phrase "Ap/ep's kin" in the prayer above is referring to people who spread anti-queer rhetoric, especially the ones in power. Set teaches me to take back my own power from those who wish to see me and people like me crumble. When I break, it is Sutekh who mends my pieces.

Pinned Post
Hello all. Please call me Basalt. My old blog was the-lost-kemetic, but I decided to rebrand and post here instead.
If you want to talk to me about fandom stuff, my main blog is @basalamander-corner.
I'm a devotee to Lady Sekhmet, Lady Wadjet, and Lord Sutekh. I've been a practicing Kemetic for around 7 years, although I've practiced witchcraft my entire life. My original blog was aimed to answer questions at beginners, although I've started to talk more about academic sources and my own beliefs. I no longer tailor my content towards those new, but feel free to send in an ask and I'll try to help out.
I may write about other pantheons, but please don't follow me for that sort of content. You won't get it consistently.
This blog is highly critical towards certain beliefs/practices within the witchcraft/pagan community. The main one is Wicca and beliefs in the divine feminine, although there are others. I don't need to justify why I am critical towards this. If you don't like it, then you can leave this blog.
This blog also respects the rights of closed practices.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
FAQ below the cut
"Why do you write a/p/e/p or i/s/f/e/t?
One word: heka. It's the belief that words and names have power, by speaking a name, you give it power. This goes for typing it out as well. I don't wish to give power to a being that wishes to devour the world, so I censor the name.
Can you teach me [x]? Can you be by mentor?
I can give you some tips and tricks, and some advice. But I will not spoonfeed you information. You have to be able to trust your own ability to study and research. You shouldn't listen to one source of information.
Can you make a spell/sigil/ritual for me?
Short answer, no. Long answer, it depends. I can help you to come up with a ritual, or something similar. I can help point you in the right direction, or give tips and tricks. But I believe all spells, sigils, and rituals work the best when you put your own energy into creating it.
Are you pro-curse?
Yes.

Sutekh, Loki and Erebus, Nyx and Their Children, a little with every Underworld Deity and a Tengrist Kök Tengri, Umay Ana and Ak Ana. I am really interested, what you can say.
Oooh, okay so you have a lot energy to do with the cycle of life and death around you. You have a range you work with from fertility deities to death deities.. so I feel like there has to be a lot of magic around death or spirit work...
but also on the flip side- spells and magic around manifesting as well. Things to create abundance in wealth and relationships/family.
I could see a lot of unconventional but talented divination work as well from what I’ve known of Nyx devotees (my girlfriend )
I also feel there could be Fire and Water energy magic as a talent of yours
✨send an ask with the deities you worship and I’ll assume what type/s of magic you practice ✨

I can't be the only one who sees Set as being a defender of the dead and their places of rest. I feel like as the husband to Nephthys & stepfather to Anubis, the dead and their resting places would be something he holds dear, although perhaps not within his circle influence. He loves Nephthys as well as Anubis so I don't think he'd take to kindly to someone fucking up their spaces or being disrespectful to the dead & mourning.

I’ve just decided to read some stuffs about Apollo, the Greek God, then my conversation with Seth have turned towards  relationships between Gods/spirits and mortals, also my past experiences with some, when I’m inevitably ended up in a desperate question:
- Seth, am I cosmic whore? *confused sigh* - Oh, Sweetie *He gently hugs me around my shoulders and head, stroking my hair* I don’t think that you would be... a cheap one.
Spoiler alert: Aaand this was the first time when I beat the shit out of a Chaos God with an astral pillow until exhausting, spiced with some shit talk, before I hugged this motherfucker.
Fekin’ Asshole!!!
...But I love this sassy Bastard indescribably! *inner yellow frog scream*

It's Wep Ronpet, the Kemetic New Year. Five days, where each day one of the Gods was born. From eldest to youngest, Wesir, Heru-Wer, Sutekh, Aset, Nebet-Het. And the third day, the middle, is dedicated to my God. On this day Sutekh was born. Rebellious, He did not wait for His time of birth, that He escaped from the side of stomach of His mother Nut. The one whose scarlet hair is comparable to the setting Sun, whose scarlet eyes shine with lightning. Lord of Thunders, God of chaos, war, deserts and storms, God of foreigners and foreign lands, God of change, exiles, outsiders, outcasts and abandoned. A God of many faces, many sides, many aspects, limitless, about whom I learn more and more every time, whose immensity I see and feel each time from new and familiar sides. Ma Vhenan, my Love. Teacher, Friend, Brother, Father, Lover, and the many roles You have taken on. I spent this day with you – I cleaned up the sanctuary and prepared a small feast. I thank you, my God. In whom I find peace and meaning, in whom I find strength to move on, in whom I find love. Dua, Perfect God, and happy birthday. I hope to get to know You even better and become closer, I hope to get to know as much of You as possible. Know that I belong to you.

Tomorrow is the February. Tomorrow is the first day of my month long ritual.
From tomorrow I will be an oathbound devotee of my God, my Patron and Lord Sutekh.
I will stop reblogging most of the stuff I usually do and will cut time on social media platform usage. I will update on each day at the end of it on how it went, what I felt and general being.
The things I will do are:
Read morning prayer and say good morning;
Kiss His statue;
Pull out one Tarot card in the morning as advice from Him;
Dedicate any dish/meal/snack to Him;
Dedicate Himself my self-care;
Tell myself affirmations and words of encouragement throughout the day;
Find ways to honor Him a little each day;
Invite Him to your work and doings for a day;
Thank Him for different things;
When I get home, take a shower with all components in His honor;
Kiss His statue after coming home;
Light a tea candle for Him and let it burn;
Light Him incense;
Change offering water morning and evening;
Meditation and breath work with Him;
Write Him a letter;
If I have the opportunity and energy, do Shadow work;
Conduct a personal ritual of self-acceptance (five minutes);
Keep your room clean;
Talk with Him throughout the day;
Read night prayer, tell Him goodnight and kiss the statue.
That is all for now. I did some things before it, but now it will get serious. I will try to maintain that habits after February.
Wish me luck.

Hello, Dja! It is quite a pleasure to meet you! You seem like a really nice person, and as a Sutekh devotee, I am happy to find "one of us," heh.
I was wondering if I could please have a Sekhmet's Oracle reading. I have many questions, but I'll let the chosen answer be told by any of the Netjeri.
I hope you have a wonderful week(end) and receive joy from any of your favorite activities!
~Kala 🫀
(P.s. Sorry if I come up as awkward; I'm trying to fight with my social anxiety, haha.)
Hello, it's a pleasure to e-meet you as well! I hope you're doing well (and no worries about being awkward, I deal with my fair share of social anxiety and understand!)
I had Ma'at come forward for you, in an interesting form. She does not appear corporeal in the vision- instead, she's almost a mist, shimmering and translucent, without a form or shape. There is not much else to see within the vision, besides a dark room holding a large set of brass scales.
She begins to speak. "There will come a time when you have to fight for justice and fight for what's right, even if it makes you uncomfortable. Know that I am with you, know that I have taken the fight upon my mantle as well. You will not be alone, and you will have the strength of the Netjeru behind you. Be at peace."

for the pokemon game: a 25yo nb dalmatian helpol/kemetic practitioner... devotee of my queen persephone (and her mother demeter), and always interrupted and thrown around by the great sutekh 🙏 i am also an artist! ;P
It took me a little bit to make a decision, but for you I decided on Sawsbuck. A normal/grass type, Sawsbuck has four forms based on the four seasons. According to their biology their temperaments also change with the seasons. Game data from the black/white versions (the games they were introduced) include:
"They migrate according to the seasons. People can tell the season by looking at Sawsbuck's horns."
"The plants growing on its horns change according to the season. The leaders of the herd possess magnificent horns."
I chose Sawsbuck due to you mentioning being devoted to Persephone and Demeter. It felt fitting; a person being devoted to two Goddesses that are heavily tied to the changing to seasons, accompanied by a pokemon that also changes with the seasons. I also feel like Sawsbuck can inspire you a little. A muse.

If you're still up for a shufflemancy I was wondering if I could have your insight for this question thats been bothering me. Does Sutekh acknowledge that I have devoted myself to him, and aim to improvement of myself through that devotion?
Hello! :) I got the song "Everybody Gets High" by Missio. This song is about drugs, alcohol, and general substance abuse used to avoid problems, feelings of loneliness and being outcasted, and depression. It compares alcohol and drugs to friends, and how the boy in question hasn't gotten better, but he still does it repetitively to mask his pain from himself. I believe this means the Sutekh may very well accept you, but feels that you are either 1) going through the motions, not getting any real fulfillment from it (doing things other devotees are doing, or looking for the same things they are as a sign) or 2) avoiding your need to seek inner acceptance from yourself. Remember that you need to be confident that He has accepted you, basically! Have a great day!Shufflemancy reading requests are now closed!
