This week we've got - @saiscribbles's Switcheroo AU!

Sai's a great artist whose skills with action I greatly admire, and the concept for this AU has honestly done more to make me like Spinel than any other piece of media. Spinel the Crystal Gem! and Pearl... the looming threat.... need I say more?

Switcheroo Au: Viva

Viva was one of the most popular singers in all of the Trolls Tree. Although her and her father, who was also her manager, had a pretty okay relationship, it started to strain as he became more and more obsessed with Viva's career. It got worse when her sister was born and they became a duo, GirlZone. Viva loved her sister, but her family life started to become more and more like a business. One day, Peppy believes that their next show should include a family harmony. Despite their training, and Viva's experience with performing, she freezes up on stage. That night, she gets into a fight with her father which leads to her running away. She didn't find out until too late that her sister had followed her. She tries to return Poppy to Peppy, but can't find him. She takes responsibility for her sister and raises her until the escape from the tree.

Before the plan went into motion, Viva gave her scared sister her headband, telling her that it would protect her. When the trolls start piling into the tunnel, Viva loses sight of her sister and panics, begging King John Dory to help her find her sister. Suddenly, she hears her sister's singing from one of the abandoned tunnels and they follow it. They find Poppy and rush over to her just as a bergen's hand breaches the ground and attempts to grab Poppy. Viva sacrifices herself and is taken. She is able to escape and help fight off bergens. She escapes with the other trolls that were captured and together they find an abandoned golf course to call home. A short time later, they find one of the princes, Clay, wandering outside, exhausted and hungry, and bring him in. Clay and Viva make fast friends, and together they rule the putt putt trolls.

20 years later, she hears something outside of the gate and urges all the trolls to hide and get in position. The ones who emerge are a duo called Veneer and Velvet who came to take Viva. They tried to fight them off, but all their traps were built for bergens who were smaller. These mount rageons were also more agile and easily destroyed many of their defenses. Viva gives herself up for her people and is trapped inside a glass bottle, her talent drained from her so that the duo can gain popularity. Viva tries to escape several times, even trying to gain sympathy from Velvet, who doesn't realize that Veneer wants all the attention for himself, and their assistance, Ritz, but doesn't get far.

Soon, her father and the princes from her tribe are kidnapped as well. Though the royal family wasn't expert musicians, they still had lots of talent in them that the twins wanted. When all hope is lost, her sister, now an adult, is able to start a family harmony that saves everyone.

What if MC and Taylor’s roles where reversed. Like MC is dating or friends with the lodge skeletons (and is still nice and stuff) and taylor was invited later on? How do you think they would handle her, with all her toxicity?

Hmmmm.... Well I think things would go rather well actually.

Most of you seem to forget that Taylor wasn't completely bad in the beginning. She wasn't really interested in the skeletons besides the fact that they gave her better tips and overall let her mooch some drinks from time to time. But otherwise, pretty... okay.

It was only once she started living with them, once they started spending a ton of money on her, and once her boyfriend convinced her to take advantage of the situation that she really started leaning into her toxic habits.

But if she never had that window...

The skeletons wouldn't be interested in dating Taylor in this instance. They have Mc. They basically went through hell and back with this woman and are very invested in her, they love and adore her and she them. They're very happy with this relationship, so they're not looking at Taylor romantically.

Which also means they wouldn't be trying to woo her, which means no lavish gifts or special treatment. They're still nice of course, offering better tips and a hand in friendship. They'll still offer her a place to stay when things go downhill for her. But.... Black and Edge are a whole lot less tolerant of the boyfriend, and so are quite a few of the others. Black and Edge also are a bit more suspicious, just from everything they went through with Mc.

Mc is a stupid self-sacrificing idiot. They have to keep an eye on her and the people around to make sure she's not getting herself in trouble again. Make sure she's staying away from people who'll take advantage of her. Those two in particular will not see that happening again, though none of the skeletons are too willing for a repeat.

So it's likely that Taylor will be leaving with her boyfriend. Not a whole lot of fuss or drama to it. She may even continue being friends with some of the skeletons, but it's not likely to last with her boyfriend in the picture.

Wolffe : I'm sure she's mounted on a nice wall in a fine home somewhere.

Cody: *shoves their hand in the slot of a toaster*

Fives: …

Cody: …I get confused sometimes.

Fives: Me too.

Gregor: Onion rings are vegetable donuts.

Wolffe , used to Gregor being crazy: Sure...

Gregor: Your stomach thinks all potatoes are mashed.

Wolffe : Okay?

Fives: Good morning!

Fives: We can bake these cookies at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or 4,000 degrees for 1 minute.

Rex: No, that's not how you make cookies.

Gregor: FLOOR IT!!

Fives: How about 4,000,000 degrees for 1 second?!?

Wait that would be so funny tho 💀💀 Alma is running around trying to prove that she’s, well, Alma. And Mirabel is walking around as Alma being all kind and very open to hugging people. She also??? Will just sit down at the table and color like usual and it is the strangest thing to the family. Meanwhile Alma is fighting for her life out here 😭😭

Also??? What if Mirabel as Alma sat in her usually seat at dinner and Alma as Little Mirabel sat at the head of the table. Crying 🗿🗿

Switcheroo Au: Poppy

When Poppy was born, her sister Viva was one of, if not the, most popular popstar in the troll tree. Peppy, who was both her father and manager, thought that having Poppy join in on the performance would make them more popular. Thus, the girl group GirlZone (Might... change this later we'll see). was born. One night, Peppy gets the brilliant idea that a perfect family harmony will be the thing to bring them to the top and ensure their popularity. During their next concert, they attempt to perform one but fail when Viva is suddenly hit with a wave of anxiety. She has a fight with their dad backstage and runs away, but she doesn't realize that her little sister followed her. She tried to return Poppy, but found their old pod empty and their father nowhere to be found. She takes care of Poppy by herself until the day of the escape. Before they enter the tunnels, Viva gives a scared Poppy her headband and tells her that it will protect her. Unfortunately, Poppy gets lost in the tunnels. She sings in order to comfort herself. Luckily, Viva heard it and found her, unluckily, so did the Bergens. Viva sacrifices herself. Poppy tries to go after her, but the new King John Dory saves her. Grief-stricken, Poppy turns grey.

She spends her days creating an underground tree house that she and Viva used to dream about. She lives in solitude with little to no interactions with other trolls.

Almost 20 years later, the trolls get attacked by Chad and Todd, outcast bergen chefs who take several trolls back to Bergen Town. Branch sets off on a mission to save them, and Poppy, who does not trust his abilities to keep himself alive, goes with him. They find their friends and are able to convince Gristle, the scullery maid (butler?) of the royal bergen family, to help them by setting him up with Queen Bridgete. Despite getting betrayed by Biggie (yes I'm switching Biggie and Creek I think it's funny), they are able to save all the trolls while becoming friends with the bergen.

Some time later, the trolls get an invitation from one Queen Val who seeks to rule the world with Rock. Branch and Poppy set out to defeat her while bringing the tribes together, eventually ending with Val becoming friends with the others.

And a month after that, at the wedding of Queen Bridgete and Gristle, Peppy suddenly appears and informs Poppy that Viva is alive and has been taken by pop duo Veneer and Velvet. They go on a quest to find Branch's long lost brothers in hopes that they can perform the perfect harmony since Poppy and Peppy can't do it. Poppy holds disdain for Peppy and is tired of him treating her like a child. After a fight, she runs off to save Viva herself and is joined by Branch. During the final confrontation, Branch urges Poppy to lead the harmony. She does with the help of her father, Branch, and his brothers, successfully landing the sibling duo in jail.

Maybe a Watcher Scar? His Secret Life finale had very similar vibes to Grians Evo finale

Scar assumes that hitting the button, here at the end of everything, will send him home.

It just feels like it makes sense, right? That's how it should go. He's completed his task, so he gets his reward. And with nobody left to kill or fool or betray, what other reward could the secret-keeper possibly offer him? He's Dorothy with the slippers, Alice waking up on the riverbank. He played by the rules, and he won!

The secret-keeper is impassive, as stone as always, as he approaches. That's kind of a weird thought- why wouldn't it be? But there's something uneasy, here, with no sound in the world but his footsteps and no heartbeat in the world but his. It creeps him out, puts him on edge. He wants, abruptly, to not be here anymore, thanks very much.

Well.

"There's no place like home!" he says to himself, to the secret-keeper, and to the world.

He hits the button.

The world folds out of existence around him, everything goes black, and he's falling. It happens instantly, or at least instantly enough that he doesn't have a chance to scream before his teeth snap shut with the momentum of the drop.

He can't see anything. Not himself, not anything around him. It's all black, or something deeper than black, and cold, even with the heavy fabric of his shawl around his shoulders.

And then he hits something, and it all stops.

His fingers scrabble at the- ground? The ground beneath him, he decides. There's what's probably dirt, what must be grass. His cheek is pressed against the ground, reassuringly solid, and he lies still for a moment, catching his breath, orienting himself.

He thinks he can feel the sun on the back of his head.

...He still can't see anything.

It's, at first, almost more baffling than alarming. He reaches up to feel at his face, cautious, and finds his eyes open. He can't find any blood, any damage, at least not with this rudimentary investigation. Everything seems fine, aside from the fact that he can't see.

Well. That's not ideal.

Something is... itching at him. He can't place it, or articulate it. There's just a strange, directionless aching, like a limb that's been cramped in one position and needs to be stretched, lurking somewhere in the back of his skull.

He starts to unsteadily shove himself into a sitting position- he doesn't trust himself to stand, not in this darkness, but he doesn't think he needs to spend any longer with his face in the dirt. He still doesn't know where he is. He could still be in front of the secret-keeper. He could also be absolutely anywhere else.

He moves his head, experimentally, half-consciously trying to work out the ache in the back of his skull like it's a crick in his neck, and all at once the world explodes into color.

It's so bright and so sudden that he flinches, almost slams the eye that's just opened shut again on instinct. And it is just one eye- he's sure of that, somehow.

For some reason, though, there's no impulse to squint- only to stare. Everything is so colorful. He can see blue skies, green hills, a jagged rock formation rising into the sky- he's back on Hermitcraft, he realizes after a moment, and the relief at the realization is almost overwhelming. He is, undeniably, outside the front gate of Scarland. He's looking at...

No, wait. Something's not right. What is he looking at?

His field of vision is too high off the ground. He thinks it and then he's sure of it. He can still feel the dirt beneath his palms. He isn't standing. The view of Grian's base he has isn't right. He's sure it's not.

He looks down, and sees himself. Kneeling on the ground, staring blankly off into the middle distance, wind-ruffled and lost-looking. Him-on-the-ground is not looking at Grian's base. He doesn't look like he's looking at anything.

"Oh," Scar says aloud, giggles, presses his hand to his mouth, watches himself do that. "Oh, this is really bad."
