If you haven't seen it already, we have a brand new symbol cipher!

Yes, it's dark, but it's there. Just along the right side of the sign...

I believe we don't have everything we need to solve it yet, seeing as there's no spaces, no punctuation, it's too short for frequency, etc. But I do believe we will be seeing more of these symbols in future posts and definitely in the new book! How exciting!

For the sake of avoiding eyestrain and for our future reference, I went ahead and traced these symbols in vector lines. I have both the symbols in the photo and the unique symbols laid out on their own for easy solving whenever it comes down to it!

Frankenstan AU where Ford successfully brings back Stan. His brother is alive again and he couldn't be happier. Stan is actually here! Finally! He's ready to work things out, as soon as they deal with Bill.

Speaking of Bill... He hasn't been around in a few days since the revival. Ford knows that Bill hasn't possessed him recently; even though he can't remember what he does when Bill is in control, he can sense when his body has been used against his will. And that feeling hasn't been there in almost a week.

Ford doesn't understand. But most importantly, he doesn't understand Stan. He's alive and mostly healthy. His body has stitches all over, but his organs are functional. Save for some small details, he's himself again. So why is he acting so unlike him? He hides, he murmurs instead of speaking up, he's sneaky and careful and he stares at the walls for too long sometimes. He's jumpy and silent, and avoids looking at him almost constantly.

There's only one explanation. That is not his brother.

"I'll make it right this time. I promise, Stan," he says, and he pulls the trigger.

(Or: Ford's paranoia + Bill's subtle but constant influence on him makes Ford believe that Stan's demeanor has changed so much not because of what he's gone through in the past decade, but because Bill is somehow inside of him. He's determined to get his "real" brother back, and he won't stop until Bill is unable to enter Stan's body. No matter how many tries it takes.)

there’s a couple posts where you draw bill with a bright blue iris - was there an official art drop? is it based on pyramid steve? his fire? something else?

mostly his fire, but there's canon backing for a blue-eyed Bill

^ obviously, we didn't have TBOB yet when I first alluded to a blue-eyed Bill, but it's still good supporting evidence.

But we also have canon-backing for a red-eyed Bill

and yellow eyed, and black eyed

So if you choose to give him an iris you can interpret it any way you want depending on what kind of color symbolism you want to emphasize.

I personally tend to headcanon him as not naturally having a (visible, colored) iris as a triangle. So when I draw him with one, it's the effect of magic rather than a part of his anatomy—and Bill's magic is bright blue.

Happy Pi Day! And happy late birthday to @harvscarf/@thedandy-detective Funny how my falling back into love with Gravity Falls almost coincided with your birthday! But hey! It all worked out since I was to fit a thematically appropriate holiday into the piece instead!
