List of things that have happened at twitchcon since some of y’all may not be on twitter

A lack of planning, security, and crowd control caused a massive bottleneck outside of the dsmp panel, putting guests at risk of crowd crush

The dsmp panel was being held in an extremely small room, despite the fact that the dsmp panel at twitchcon Amsterdam had so many people in attendance that they spilled out into the vendor hall, this was the room they were in vs the auditorium directly next to it where other panels and shows were being held:

Someone showed up to the dsmp panel with a nsfw t-shirt and asked everyone what they thought of it (there were minors present and some of the people on the panel were visibly uncomfortable)

Sykkuno was kicked out

People were allegedly camping outside of streamers’ hotel rooms

At least two streamers were seriously injured jumping into a foam pit which was essentially a foot deep directly over concrete

Disabled people have been horribly mistreated throughout the entire event

Cmc is present

Aimsey and crumb have been misgendered at their panel, when people pointed this out in the panel’s twitch chat they would be timed out

Con staff was clearly not trained (letting people in early before kicking them out bc they weren’t supposed to, not knowing where things are, not knowing the streamer they’re controlling a meet and greet line for, and apparently laughing at fans)

Those doing covid screenings didn’t actually check guests’ covid information and just let them in

If a guest is under 18 an adult had to be present but staff was not checking IDs, meaning there were several unaccompanied minors around

Dream apparently got possessed in his sleep???

Kataang on Balance and Rage

There's a common protest to Zutara especially that typically goes like this:

"If Zuko and Katara ever got together they would spiral into endless fights, since both are hot-headed. Because of these traits, they need someone who is calm. Like Aang and Mai. They balance them out".

I already adressed how Zuko and Katara seem to balace themselves out just fine, and that Katara isn't actually that hot-headed. There's a lot to be said about Maiko, and I will in another time. But for now, I'd like to focus on Kataang. This argument doesn't quite work for me because Aang is repeatedly proven to be unable to effect Katara's rage.

THE WATERBENDING MASTER

When Katara challenged Pakku to a duel, Aang tied to put up the fire. Telling Pakku she didn't mean that, and telling her she doesn't have to do this for him. Due to his peace seeking nature, he wants to pprevent the duel and is communicating this to Katara.

(1th) Aang: I'm sure she didn't mean that.

(2th) Aang: You don't have to do this for me, I can find another teacher.

Did it work? Well,

THE CHASE

The entire Gaang is sleep deprived. Katara and Toph get into a heated argument about unpacking camp. Aang tried to stop the argument, and once again it didn't work.

THE SOUTHERN RAIDERS

This is an extremely controversial episode. I'm not gonna get into who's right and who's wrong. I'm just here to make an observation.

Katara decided to seek justice/revenge on the man who killed her mother. Aang, being a pacifit, encourages her to forgive him. He tells her a story about the monks, that revenge wouldn't help her. As you know, Katara still goes on the quest.

Later when she spares Yon Rha, she highlights to Aang that she did not, and will not, forgive him.

IN CONCLUSION: Aang tries to calm Katara down, but that doesn't seem to work. To suggest that Katara should be with Aang because he can balance her out would be a mischaracterization of their dynamic. He can't do that.

Rest in Pieces, King

This is one of my favourite memes simply because of its energy. The pose also fits well because the guy in the picture already does a scissor-like hand sign, and Siffrin, throughout the game, makes the snip-snip gesture when they attack and in his portrait/fighting art.

This is honestly what I felt after I finally defeated King. He is a wonderful antagonist and end boss, but gods, do I want to punt him. And don't worry! The Head Housemaiden didn't bury King. The grave is symbolic since Vangaurdians, from my understanding, are quite respectful - even to horrible people. Siffrin is just a little shit with a personal vendetta.

(I finally see why the kid who is interested in wizards thought Siffrin was a wizard. I didn't see the correlation until I had to draw the hat in a looking down angle. Siffrin reminds me more of a Snufkin than a wizard. Which is hilarious because Siff is not anything like Snufkin)

Remaking memes is strangely relaxing. I think I will keep doing this. It's fun.

Vaggie, in "Cradle Will Fall" was actually born a little over six weeks early, due in part to the fact that Lute had actually sustained some minor abdominal injuries in the Extermination that had happened less than a month before the meeting with the Morningstars that she offered to attend in Adam's place.

Thankfully, when the doctor that Sera insisted be called to examine both Lute and the baby when she learned that Lute had given birth came and looked them over, he determined Vaggie to be generally healthy, though obviously very small and with some issues maintaining her own body temperature. The issues with body temperature were actually part of why Lute did a lot of baby-wearing during the first year of Vaggie's life - not only did it let her hold the baby while still giving her free hands to do other things, but it allowed her to keep Vaggie close to her, and help keep her warm thanks to sharing body heat.

now that I sae you talking about What If...?, let's talk about why they decided to choose Peggy as the one who will bring back Steve from the whole HYDRA thing???? and not his best friend for life, the one who last saw him too in that mission in Argentina??? sorry but that, for me at least, was lame, dumb and EVERYTHING BAD

also, when I hear that he died in Argentina in 1953, for a moment I thought that it's mean Steve was the one who throw a coup against president Juan Domingo Perón 😅 but no, that was in 1955, I was laughing my ass off for the idea

I'm in agreement with you, nonnie, and I think that's part of my issue with the series. I get that these are supposed to be different takes, but it did come across in many ways that elements of Stucky (whether you ship them or just view them as friends) were given to push Steggy. With Steve trying to break through to Bucky in TWS, it made sense. With Peggy, it felt shoehorned and wasn't executed well.

Peggy and Nat felt natural.

And Peggy making heart eyes at 1602 Steve. Did she expect to stay there with him when she had Hydra Stomper Steve in her world? Rogers Hood and his Merry Men were fun.

We also saw how upset Peggy was when they didn't tell her about Steve. Yet in episode 2 after recognizing Bucky immediately, Howard says he had heard the rumors and that the man they knew was gone. Why not look into it when the rumors started? And Howard brings up Steve to get in touch with Bucky's humanity, but then they don't even try to help him at the end of the episode.

I wonder what Steve would've said to them had he been around...

Bahaha. Wouldn't that have been something in Argentina? 😂
