7. do you outline before writing? if so, what’s your outlining process like? the short answer: never, god no. i write fully by the seat of my pants, vibes only, maybe throw a cryptic note about where i want to go with it somewhere in the doc, pray i remember what i meant by it but then also last year i spent like a month outlining for the infamous unfinished dragon age au (god rest its soul (until i grave rob it for f1, probably,)) and that was the first time i've ever gotten so serious about like. planning. to be fair i had a whole ton of source material to draw from, main plot points that had to be kept etc. but it forced me to also actively keep track of my subplots bc it was such a big project!! so!! fun learning experience!! but again, short answer, absolutely not

16. do you count brainstorming/daydreaming/outlining as a part of the writing process? why or why not?  tbh i only count it if it bears fruit?? like there are a ton of things i have orbiting my peanut brain at any given time that i put... hours of stupid daydreaming into. so yes it can be part of the process for me if i ever actually follow up on a thought! once a thing has started being followed up on, yes to all three. my fave method of brainstorming has always been to just ramble incessantly about a thought @ someone bc it always just seems to knock loose any blocks i've got about plot or vibes etc. i don't do that much anymore BUT it's the way i like 2 do!

20. how do you usually come up with story ideas?  HOO UHHHH that's a big question. idk i'm a big media enjoyer/consumer so i get a lot of little sparks of inspo from games or movies or books but also i keep a note in my phone of like, things people have said or done around me that could blossom into something?? that note also has quotes from books/games/movies it's excessive but i go back to it pretty often to see if anything sparks joy and/or interest short answer idk brain make thought sometime

hello hello! dang I gotta tell u, I've been thinking abt this for a long time, trying to pinpoint it down and give u substential tips on this. however there's a big problem - english is not my first language and everything I've learnt abt english is via my own perception and listening to others talk. it's how I carry my fics, I listen and observe and that's the best tip I can give you - be perceptive. there are lots of behaviors that equal another thing so I'd start with listing Norma's traits!

Norma is a very headstrong person. her dialogue should portray the fact that she's assertive, gets what she wants and is often stubborn in her actions

however, Norma is also very playful! think of the fact that when she wanted to convince Helen to let it go so Ted could go forward, she isn't demanding but instead she's sneaky. I think she has a great sense of humor, so her dialogue should insist of lots of teasing, jokes and just not treating lots of things seriously

coming back to her headstrongness, when u write Norma dealing with people she hates I think she would be more malicious. being sarcastic and more blunt with her criticism

but in general, Norma is a very easygoing person. her dialogue should be sth casual, not using many fancy words, very down to Earth but also funny and bright. she loves life! so she should be optimistic and encouraging

also remember that scene when Norma talks to Ted abt where to get the seed. she puts on the whole show. Norma isn't a person who talks the same all the time, she modulates her voice, she plays around, talking with her would be tons of fun, not only for her jokes but her way to carry a story and be secretive

that's another good point - Norma can keep a secret and is good at acting. she shouldn't stammer around when she is lying unless she wants someone to learn the truth from context clues

ok another point I wanna hammer home - Norma isn't shy. she doesn't stutter, she doesn't hide away. if u wanna write her flustered, she's a person to more draw out her words and get lost in them instead of tripping over them and starting the sentence anew

and at the end, one of my fave Norma moments and traits that it shows - do u remember the tone of voice she uses when she's talking abt the sprouting seed? she's so thoughtful and gentle. I think despite her trickster demeanor, she can very much so be soft, nostalgic and appreciative. Norma is someone who wants the best for those she can see potential in. she has a golden heart and wants to see the world a better place cause she simply loves it

I think that's all the tips, tricks and suggestions I have. observe, analize, be perceptive, and now go and write a fic with Norma in it! 💛

6. eerie/melody

On the sixth day, or maybe the seventh, George asks for an instrument.

The problem is and always has been that George gets bored too easily. He knows this about himself. And sure, he gets why XD has him here, in this weird pocket dimension or whatever it is. It comes with the territory of being doted on by a hyper-powerful deity thing. It’s overprotective, and George needs protecting, supposedly.

He’s still bored. There’s a cottage here, bookshelves full of books that George couldn't care less about reading, a garden that he couldn’t care less about tending. He’s weighted by a terrific and all-encompassing ennui that tracks him with every step. He’s bored, but he doesn’t want to do anything. He’s exhausted, but he sleeps for sixteen hours a day. He can’t do much more of that.

So he asks for an instrument. A set of pipes, a guitar, anything. Something to do with his hands, something to fill the silence of the woods. He's a little surprised when XD obliges without question, tilting Its head curiously and then reaching into Its cloak. When It pulls Its hand free, it’s clutching a shiny-dark lute that It offers up to George. 

George settles cross-legged in the grass and weighs it in his hands. The body fits nicely in his lap, the neck is smooth against his palm. Something about pressing his fingers to the strings evokes the feeling of holding a bow, which brings about a sickening wave of déjà vu that he’s sort of getting used to now. When he tries thinking too hard about where he came from, this happens. A dizziness, a sense of unrest. 

He shakes his head and plucks each string in order. Perfectly tuned. He offers up a smile to XD, and It seems to stand up a little straighter.

“Thanks,” George says belatedly, strumming clumsily and out of tune. He’s out of practice, he knows, but he manages to work his fingers into the right places for a couple of shaky chords. Like this, he can pick out a series of notes to make a delicate sort of melody that turns his stomach. A memory, then. He knows this song, though he doesn’t know from where, and XD certainly isn’t going to tell him.

He pushes through the nausea and keeps playing; it’s a sweet song, as much as it brings a bitter taste to his mouth. What is he forgetting? It’s precipitous, like he’s one step away from shuddering out of his own skin.

george, says XD, and it startles George into strumming a sour chord. His thumb slips on the high string and he pulls it away, shoves it in his mouth before he can bleed on the lute. 

“What,” George says around his thumb. His hands are shaking and he’s sweating, head pounding faintly. 

stop for now, it says. rest for now.

There’s power in XD’s words. George knows this, and he finds that he can’t push back against It as he lays back in the grass, curling up on his side. XD pulls the lute carefully from his hand and George closes his eyes. He’s abruptly so exhausted that he can’t keep them open.

The meaning behind your URL: When I got into early 2000 British Indie music everyone in a - not yet famous but oh so close to making it!! - band had a real first name and a last name consisting of part of their band name (Zac Needs of Special Needs for example) and everyone who was band adjacent went by a first name and a (often, but not always, alliterative) made up last name (Dave Danger, Zosha Bangles, Sophie Thunder, Laura Love, and so on…) hence Michelle Misfit. Which also fit into all the art I was doing at the time (for pay and not) and the dreams of opening a little shop in Camden on day, all of which came under Misfit Design. So the name is 20+ years old, but also Bradley James knows that that’s my username and has said it live on air (with no prompting what so ever!!) so I can never ever change it now! Hahaha

Thanks Jain Wallet dont worry about it man,it wasnt a big deal i just didnt want anyone to think i were lying about anything,The crash i've had were due to the global.iff i've tested with a few now and they all seem to crash upon going to player of the game at the end of the game,when a game is finished the player of the game plays out fine but when you go to it manually at the end of game menu it seems to crash to the desktop i asked if anyone was having the same problem a few post back.So i've tested the original global.iff and it seems to work now.I'll continue to work on some other things and get an update soon as i can but for now im just seeing if the game modes have any problems.I have tested out the dribbling and it seems to work fine for me so far but i'll keep working on that as well.A lot of archives i've messed with are really hard to open some open pretty well some have encrypted tadata and cant be open as of yet but i've been working day in and day out trying to get them open i just havent found a way but just have patience with me guys im really trying to bring this back to life and bring some fun to it!Thanks for supporting me thus far.Well im back guys with some updated information again,So what i were thinking was some of the stats etc arent realistic enough for me so i did some editing using the players real shot analysis take a look here after i done my Gary Harris comepare the charts please!!The purpose is to have the most realistic gameplay rookies play like actual rookies not stars so they will have room to grow during dynasty modes For instance, the names such as Joel Embiid and Marcus Smart cannot be pronounced in NBA 2k14 since the audio file for these names are missing, but in NBA2K15 the commentators can pronounce every current NBA player name.
