I recently recruited Azelstan and completed the pirate’s graveyard and I was surprised to realize his tirade upon joining was significantly changed. Sadly my PSP is lost in limbo ever since I moved and I never recruited him on my emulated PC playthrough so I’ll just have to write it down instead.
His words in the original PSP script are as follow:
Diego: “... I know what I’m about now. Finally. I’m a pirate. Don’t know any other way of living. Stealing, killing – it’s what I do. There never was any other way for me. Boy, take me with you. I’ll fight if it means this war will end sooner. You said that’s what you wanted, and I’ve a mind to believe you. You want someone killed, I’ll kill them. Soldiers, women... Anyone. If it’ll end this war a moment sooner, I’ll do it without batting an eye. My life’s yours, boy. Use it well.”
Denam: “If that’s your decision.”
Diego: “You might have taken the high road, risen above the bloodshed. But I’m already in it up to my boots. I’ll say one thing though. I hate the war that took my daughter. I want it done. That enough for you?”
And here is the exchange in Reborn which is almost entirely different in wording (with the exception of a few lines) but very different in meaning as well:
It’s a sharp contrast going from “You want someone killed, I’ll kill them.” to “I can help you right this land and write new laws.” I particularly appreciate that Azelstan sees in Denam a moral ambiguity he finds similar to his and ofc I love the imagery of raising justice’s flag with red-stained hands. And I think “You say you’ll end this war. I would have it be my last.” is an interesting foreshadowing, more interesting than the mention of his daughter which was already brought up earlier in his sidequest.

The winners of the life series all had their own ways of winning:
1. Grian loyalty, playing into every one of Scar's schemes no matter how stupid they seemed. His win came from blood and tears, a descion made surronded by sand and cacti.
2. Scott defiance, he was never going to play the game the way it was designed. Why would he take life needlessly, no his win came from the refusal to do the watchers bidding.
3. Pearl alone, discarded by her soulmate, discarded by the one who pulled her into the nether in the first place. She won with her ties cut, she won not of her own descion but of the one who decided for her.
4. Martyn scavenger, taking time where most convient, stealing kills from right under peoples noses. His win came when even his trusted ally had his guard down, feral and desperate for just a drop more time, even if it left him frenzied and alone.

Rip to Lanselot’s first words, edited out of the Tactics Ogre Reborn script 😞
I always liked how he just overhears Leonar, enters, sits down and replies in third person “he is”, it really made for an impactful entrance. This scene is still very interesting but I’ll miss that tongue-in-cheek bit.

The Curator. Her name is Gloria Beatrix. [Achromatic Loop AU]
She can summon close-ranged weapons [preferably daggers] using her blood as an offering to the tattoo of three crows on her skin. The Crows will give her a fraction of its power in return.
The tattoo can move anywhere on her body but is usually seen on her neck or chest.
She doesn't physically show up in the story until way later in the timeline.
