look sorry for the reference but simon's relationship to fionna is giving barbie movie vibes to me. she both exists and is 'real' in some capacity but is also a creation made by a person, and is therefore directly affected by her creator's thoughts and actions. simon is like america ferrera inadvertedly giving his fionna barbie thoughts about dying and just generally ruining the vibes of 'fionnaland' because he's so overwhelmingly depressed that it seeps into how he perceives that world in his mind

I've been thinking about this unused Ralsei dialogue tree, mostly because his dialogue about Noelle is pretty interesting ("this world's magic"???), but also because it amuses/interests me that he noticably flounders when prompted to speak about Berdly. He knows stuff about Noelle that he logically shouldn't, but It's like whoever or whatever the source of his knowledge is doesn't see Berdly as important enough to prime him on.

just an fyi, and it feels like it needs to be said here: your blog is your own space and you should be able to say whatever the fuck you want. if you’re sad? vent. get sad. maybe put it under a cut, definitely tag it, but get sad. if you feel like you need someone to talk to? drop a freaking message about how you’re feeling like you could use a buddy, or anything randomly engaging. if you’re having a hard time, you should feel safe and okay to talk about it in your own space. we’re writers and we’re people and while there’s a lot to be said for how engagement outside of oneself is necessary in rp (and really really needs to improve), i think there’s a lot that must be said about people reaching out to others. it’s become so solitary here — the whole ‘reblog from source’ thing when it comes to shit like about and musings is absurd. the whole refusing to like things is ridiculous. yes, curate your space, that’s important, but curating your space into a studio apartment only you live in doesn’t make this a community anymore, it makes it a studio apartment you live in.

just be yourself here. do whatever you want. but i’m always saying: remember you’re not alone, and don’t let yourself feel that way.

writing PJO chars' adhd/autistic/dyslexic/etc traits is extremely fun for me, especially exploring the different ways those traits might manifest for each of them and how they react to those traits in themselves based on their individual personalities and I need to do more of it.

anyways Nico autism hc that I've been meaning to write for ages but haven't gotten a good excuse to yet - if he gets stressed out enough Nico will very rarely have speech loss for up to a couple of days at a time. It TOTALLY freaks him out the first time or two that it happens because Using Your Voice is such a big thing for him. something something that quote from BoO about being halfway to Asphodel already. And he struggles a lot with general cues already so he puts even more weight on being able to communicate very directly and efficiently, and being physically unable to communicate verbally is like his worst nightmare. Plus he's already stressed and probably shutting down whenever it happens so it's just Extra Bad and it takes a bit of his friends helping calm him down and find other ways for him to communicate that works for him for him to start feeling better and shifting his perspectives a bit about what that whole "using your voice" manta means to him (mostly just. a little less literal). also he totally learns sign language in probably at least one or two varieties cause he cannot stop picking up languages.

I was just thinking what a cool job this might be.. what if you were just the person who makes little still images of cute animal figurines doing various activities to post on social media...? like.. show up to work and just spend the whole day like "hmm... this table should be placed to the left a little.. let me set this miniature bagel down in this way... this tiny rabbit should be wearing a scarf", setting the backgrounds, the lighting, etc. ... dream job perhaps lol...

i think elden ring will always be my favorite game in terms of environment. every area is so impressive, even the copy-paste stuff manages to be impressive with atmosphere, and the amount of just. stunning-looking locations is wild especially with how natural even the most amazing looking shot you can find is.

just the fact that you unavoidably see this when you walk into leyndell is incredible. one of my favorite environment views in all of the games ive ever played

hm. i think acting like the current discourse is a first reaction to one misstep is a little reductive and misinformed, and i think there have clearly been underlying issues for a while now, dating back to the french joining and being ignored at every turn or the eggs going missing arc or purgatory or whatever view-changing event you want to begin your analysis from. it’s reasonable for fans to be frustrated about it, especially if it’s dismantling a section of the media they enjoyed the most; and as much as you can say sit back and let the admins work their magic, i think over the course of the past few months and mistakes a lot of viewers have lost faith solely bc there have been a lot of missteps and on top of that missteps without reconciliation, and there is a fear and very real possibility that it will not get resolved. and that’s ok too! people are also allowed to blog about that though like this is the blog site
