after 2 weeks of gabe being in sweden and a month of the couple being apart for winter break, they're finally back together in boston

"i had every single game on the tv and my parents watched them all with me, especially my dad. he didn't even want to get up to use the bathroom because he was scared he would miss something. OH and when we were in rhode island visiting my grandparents, they even told me to turn the games on! not like i wouldn't anyways.. i watched every single one in its entirety."

amelia was rambling as she straddled gabes waist comfortably, her hands holding his shoulders as he stared up at her with the biggest grin on his face the entire time she spoke

he couldn't get enough of her and he was so happy they were back together.

"i'm so glad you got to watch all the games, baby. i appreciate that a lot you know"

she smiles at his words

"i wouldn't miss one for the world."

gabe smiles as he lifts himself so he's sitting up, amelia still wrapped around his waist

he leans forward and gives her lips a gentle kiss

"i think it's time i give you your christmas present" he says against her lips

she smirks back, "you got me something?"

"of course i did." he taps her sides, indicating that he has to get up

gabe gets up to retrieve her gift, but turns to look at his girlfriend first

"close your eyes." he says

she quirks her eyebrow at him, but obliges.

she sits on the bed with her eyes closed as he goes and grabs her gift

once in his hand, he goes back behind her on the bed

he looks down at the gift in his hand and smiles

unclasping it, he gently puts it around amelias neck

"keep your eyes closed till i say, okay?" he says softly, and she nods in response

once securely clasped, he smiles to himself

"you can open now." he says

she looks down at the new necklace that has been placed around her neck before picking up the charm in her fingers

she lets out a low gasp before turning and looking at gabe, a huge smile on her lips

"your initial.. and your jersey number" she says

gabe smiles and nods hesitantly, "i really hope it's not too much, but.."

amelia shakes her head and wraps her arms around gabes neck, hugging him tightly

"i love it. love it." she says, running a hand through his curls

"you do?"

"yes. so, so much." she says, pulling back from the hug and putting a hand on his cheek softly "thank you baby. i absolutely love it."

gabe lets out a sigh of relief

"good. i was worried you would think it's too much too soon, or not want to wear it, or-"

"gabe." amelia shushes him by placing her lips on his "i am never taking it off." she says softly

We had finished our press release and were walking to a pub with the whole cast. Sadie looked like a goddess. quite frankly, you don’t know how you and taerae became a couple.

you both started as friends ever since taerae offered to help you with your math homework (though most of the time all he did was talk until you found the answer yourself), and you were together ever since.

but it wasn’t until a few months before college started when taerae finally admitted his feelings to you, drunk out of his mind, at matthew’s house party to celebrate your high school graduation. to taerae’s horror the next day, his phone was blaring with messages from matthew about it, and he swore he was about to pass out when you mentioned it while helping with his hangover.

he clears his throat in an attempt to break the silence, “fine, i admit. i've liked you for a while now.” he says in an almost defeated tone. you shake your head, laughing, “dumbass.”

“you don’t even remember the fact i said i liked you too?”

his friends pointed it out the first time you both argued and ignored each other: the fact you were keener on listening to his stories and what-not than joining in on the conversation; the fact you can concentrate on homework much longer than taerae, who’d probably give up by 30 minutes and start procrastinating instead.

“in his defense, i wouldn’t wanna date a carbon copy of myself either.” gyuvin shrugs, to which taerae looks at him ridiculously. “yeah no shit, because you’re gyuvin.”

taerae smiles softly after, “but i guess they’re right with the whole opposites attract thing.”

a few months into your relationship, you��d describe it as walking into a freshly painted room, trying to tiptoe to avoid getting stained. at first, you two were careful with the whole 'romance thing,' waiting for the other to catch up.

months after, you two were more than willing to run across, disregarding the wet streaks of paint across your clothes. to taerae, that was through the first time you both ever kissed while you both pulled an all-nighter for finals; both of you were tired, it was one in the morning, and the taste of coffee was still present on his lips.

and to you, that was being the first to say 'i love you.' with a bunch of wet streaks of paint smeared across your cheeks. you still can't forget taerae's face when you first said it, almost as if you were both kids and you said some forbidden word.

"what?" you say right after, a bit concerned over the sudden silence between you. sure, you were in a library, but still.

"no way." you laugh at his reaction, his mouth slowly forming into a big smile to the point his dimples were prominent. before you could jokingly repeat his words, he pulled you in what seemed to be the longest hug you've had in years.

the paint seemed to be drying up to look like some sort of home, and you hoped this was the endgame. you haven't loved someone like how you loved taerae in years, and everything about him was special.

but now, you were both standing in the very few empty dry spaces of that room. well, more realistically, you were both in his apartment. should this happen a few months back, you’d bask in the warm comfort of it, but god, this silence is deafening.

“you alright?” taerae’s voice brings you back to reality, you realize you’ve been standing around for probably the past 15 minutes while taerae was busy brewing another cup of coffee for the night. “yeah, just worried about a few deadlines.”

but you knew your answer was nothing to taerae, he knows you too well. "right. we've known each other for like, what, 6 years? i know that's not the only thing bugging you lately.” you sigh at his response, a worried look visible on his face, does he know as well? you ask yourself.

and you realize it was cloudy, hindering the paint to dry up. you’re still standing on the same empty spots, both scared to take a step towards some finish line, a window of some sort to let some light in. it felt like all your unresolved arguments, what ifs, unfinished deep talks, and “how are you’s” were the wet paint you were so scared of getting a stain off.

“no really, just tired lately. you don’t have to worry about me.” you walk over and reassure him with a simple kiss on the cheek, to which taerae simply mumbles a small ‘alright.’ though you can still tell he doesn’t believe you.

so you planned to try and be bold on some other day. but taerae’s “hey, love.” the moment he welcomed you back into his apartment with a hug and kiss on the forehead delayed it to your dismay. (it’s not like you hated his touch, but all that confidence building while walking up to his apartment was not worth it).

it's not like you didn't love taerae anymore. you love being the first person to see him in the morning, and the last he sees before he sleeps. you love him. but it wasn't the sort of love that kept you going despite the arguments before.

and all you could do was reply with a kiss and bask in his warmth for a little while. judging from his slightly sad greeting earlier, you know taerae thinks the same about your relationship. the both of you tiptoeing to a blank spot where it’s a constant routine of asking how the other is feeling about something; about this; and finally about us, you hoped.

but you didn’t hope he’d ask this soon. what more during a dark, rainy night while you’re both busy finishing up the leftovers from his fridge. the only thing keeping you both in the same table was the random video taerae started playing that piqued your interest.

“how do you feel about this?” oh. you're backed into an empty corner.

you gaze at him from across the table, a glass of water in hand, “about us?” he continues. the sound of rain and his god-awful cutlery (you could barely poke it through your food) hitting the table amidst the silence was almost deafening.

and that’s when you realize taerae ran back to the starting line, regardless of the paint staining his clothes. so you ran after him with the same sense of adventure you had before, the moment you reached him all you said was “i think it’s better if we break up.”

taerae smiles pitifully, looking back to his empty plate. and he hoped, he prayed you can’t see the hurt on his face when even he knew this might come sooner or later. “yeah.”

“i understand, i thought so too.” he reassures you after a few minutes of silence, pushing his plate to the side. “but you know i’ll still love you regardless right?” he asks, to which you laugh, the tension fading away.

“just not in the same way anymore, right? like the days before you turned up blackout drunk.” you joke. you could never hate taerae, especially not during the days you’d spend mornings with him clinging on; or the nights when he’s busy boiling noodles while you’re studying for exams.

he laughs along, “yeah, as friends.”

but when taerae wakes up the next morning to silence, his bed feeling lighter than usual, the scent of rain still fresh from last night, he’s feeling awfully lonely. but he resists the temptation of typing the typical, rom-com ‘i miss you.’ text, you’re probably still asleep at this time, he knows your schedule by heart.

the thing with the love the both of you shared was how it never caught one by surprise. sure, taerae’s drunken confession is one, but you both took things slow. almost too slow to some. his feelings were a slow buildup, only realizing he was interested in you when he was cleaning up his desk, which was full of trinkets you gave him.

only did he realize he was in love is when he hadn’t taken off the keychain you gave him on his birthday in months, which you pointed out was all dirty and scratched up. but he responded to your complaint with a “but it’s from you!” and he realized it has and will always be you.

and only did he realize you’ll forever have a special place in his heart while he’s still in bed, hair sticking up everywhere and his eyes barely opening as the sun blares through his curtains as the gray clouds slowly disappear.

when the silence finally settles in him, taerae figures he’d rather take his goodbye slowly as well.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them?

Ellis - As she’s literally my self insert, the biggest inspiration behind Ellis was myself! I made her as a way to imagine myself in the world of Twisted Wonderland and how I would interact with the world! Over time, she evolved into her own person/oc and no longer a complete copy of myself! My major inspirations for Ellis were Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and Belle from Beauty and the Beast as they are my favorite Disney princesses!

Fabian - I was thinking to myself one day and thought “Wait, has anyone ever made an oc twisted from Flynn Rider?” And so Fabian was born! To make Fabian, I was inspired by several other characters who had the same energy as Flynn Rider (in my humble opinion) such as Julian Devorak from the game The Arcana or Dimitri from Anastasia! I knew I wanted to make a charming and dramatic goofball at the end of the day!

Alice - When I was first brainstorming Alice, I knew I wanted to make them a vampire, or at least a vampire like creature! Due to them being twisted off of Lady Dimitrescu, I also knew I just had to make them tall! It’s a given at this point! Besides Lady Dimitrescu being an obvious inspiration, I was also inspired by many old movie stars such as Hedy Lamarr or Elizabeth Taylor to make the vibes of Alice!

Ellis - Ellis has much to say to her younger self but decided to keep it a bit short and so she said “Get yourself out there! People will love you for being you! Who cares if you’re seen as weird, you’re you.” She then stretched out her arms to give her younger self a big hug!

Fabian - The advice that Fabian would give his younger self is that “Keep looking up kid, it’ll all be sunshine and rainbows one day.” He would then ruffle his younger self’s hair and give them a high five.

Alice - Although she doesn’t have much to say to her younger self, Alice would tell her younger self that “You’re doing wonderfully just keep doing what you do best, it’ll always be the best for you.” Alice was out of things to say to her younger self so she just gave younger her a pat on the head

hey y'all!! i said in my last post that i was gonna start posting every day, and i promise that i will make good on that from now on, but i went to the beach this past weekend, and i was so busy every day and so tired at the end of every day that i just didn't have time :/ i'm gonna try to post everyday now though!!

so, one tiny update on The Girl: i got her number! we haven't texted that much (yet).

Nerves filled your body as you got closer to the VMAs. This was your first time going and you were nominated for not only “song of the year” but also “artist of the year” and many others. It was crazy to think that within the span of five months you blew up into one of the biggest artists in the world. You went from being known as a TikTok dancer to being seen as a force within the music industry. It was insane, and thankfully, you didn’t have to live through it alone. Your muse, your boyfriend, Vinnie, was right there beside you.

“Are you freaking out?” he asked, placing a hand on your leg.

“No, no…why? Do I look like it?” You gulped. “I’m not sweating, am I? No, I’m not sweating. You’re sweating. What are we talking about?”

He laughed, “Calm down, Y/n. You’re gonna win tonight.”

“You don’t know that. Have you seen the people I’m going up against for my awards? Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, fucking Taylor Swift!” Leaning back in your seat, you pouted. “I have no chance.”

“Babe, you’re probably the biggest artist in the country right now. If you don’t walk away with something, I can guarantee you there’s going to be riots. You need to stop freaking out and think positively.”

He was right, you needed to stop being so pessimistic about this. You had the number one song in the country, a number one album, and you were expected to win big at the upcoming Grammys. You were fucking awesome, and you had Vinnie there to remind you of that.

“Okay, kid. We’re here.” Your manager, Jen, announced from the passenger seat. “You ready for people to see that pretty face of yours?”

You nodded confidently. Vinnie took your hand and gave you a soft smile. “Just do what you do, babe.”

You returned the gesture and waited to be let out. The minute the door opened, you were met with screams and cheers from people. You got of the car with Vinnie following and Jen not to far from the both of you. You waved and blew kisses to your fans and made your way down the red carpet where you were to have you pictures taken. You had some taken of yourself, but you couldn’t take any without your date. The pictures of you and Vinnie cracking jokes and making fun of what others were wearing were sure to be all over Twitter tonight.

Once that was done, Jen took you to the interviewers, where you met with Riley Venders from Entertainment Tonight.

“Oh my goodness, I am here with the beautiful and successful, Y/n! After being the number one artist for majority of the year, how are you!?” Riley exclaimed, pointing the mic to you.

“I’m so good,” you laughed. “I’m very nervous tonight, but that’s to be expected I guess. It’s just a total honor to be here.”

Riley squealed in excitement, “That’s so amazing! Now, you’re nominated for multiple VMAs tonight. How does that feel?”

“It feels *bleep*ing incredible, y’know? I wrote an album based off of my relationship and to have it be cherished by so many people, it’s amazing.”

“Speaking of your relationship, is the boyfriend here now?”

Pointing over at Vinnie, you nodded with a smile. “He is! He’s my date tonight and I’m literally the luckiest girl on the face of the planet. He’s the coolest and most perfect boyfriend any girl could ask for.”

“That is so wonderful, Y/n! I am so happy for you, I wish you nothing but luck tonight, you look amazing, and I can’t wait to see what you do in the future!”

“Thank you so much!”

You and Riley bid your goodbyes before you had to move onto your next interview. After about three more, you finally were able to go to your seats. Even though you were pretty famous yourself, the fact that you were seated in between Billie Eilish and Alicia Keys was jaw dropping. The show started and you and Vinnie were having the time of your lives, dancing around and lip syncing to Olivia Rodrigo. Then before you know it, the nominees for “song of the year” were being announced.

You sat in silence and fear, watching as your name popped up and your hit single echoed throughout the arena. Screams and wails dwindled down as JLO proceeded to announce the winner.

“And the winner for ‘song of the year’ is…drumroll please.” She opened the envelope and with a smile, she said, “Y/f/n Y/l/n!”

The crowd went wild as your name flashed on the screen. You turned to Vinnie with wide eyes only to be met with his excitement. “I won?” you mouthed. “What the hell?”

“Jesus, Y/n, go!” he laughed, pushing you on stage but not before planting a kiss on your cheek. You stumbled up to the mic, waving to your fans, and giving JLO a hug.

“Holy *bleep*.” You breathed into the mic, picking up your award. “This is so *bleeping*ing incredible. I want to thank my family, my friends, my manager, Jen. I wanna thank the fans for your support and for loving the music. I for sure want to thank my boyfriend, Vinnie.”

Everyone awed and you laughed, moving your attention to the boy. “Without you, I wouldn’t be standing up here. You inspired me so much to make this music and I absolutely can’t thank you enough, babe. You’re the sickest, most coolest person and I’m so lucky to call you mine. So, thank you, and thank you to the VMAs.”

With that, you blew a kiss to the crowd and followed JLO backstage. When you got back to your seat, Vinnie gripped your face and began peppering you with kisses. As much as you loved him, you could’ve gone without that.

“You’re a winner, baby!” He yelled, earning a chuckled from Billie and Finneas beside you. “Also, you’re welcome.”

“For what?”

“For getting you a number one song and a number one album.”

You scoffed, “Please. Just because I thanked you in my speech doesn’t mean you’re allowed to get a big head.”

That night, you went on to win majority of your awards and in all your speeches, you made sure to mention Vinnie’s impact. And as expected, that gassed him up. You spent the entire night in your hotel room listening to him going on and on about how he made you a musical god. While he made sure to praise himself for his part in your success, he couldn’t forget to also praise you for your hard work. He was proud to declare his baby a winner.
