i know it’s because a lot of people simply do not think of how evil the concept of hell is but it’s wild to me that tbc is about the unfairness of the dark forest and being trapped for moons despite being able to change and the ending is simply that maybe starclan will work on their issues but every cat in the dark forest has to stay there and rot regardless of how much they’ve changed and grown to regret their actions

I bet Squirrelflight feels so dirty beside Bramblestar in the After.

I bet deep down she gets nervous when she sees him out of the den and she’s organizing patrols. I bet her paws itch to run back up there and slink back to his side as not to upset him, before she remembers, before she knows it’s safe.

Her fur feels as prickly as it did the nights she had to still share a nest knowing she laid beside an imposter. When she spends too much time in the den, her nose twitches with the smells of old prey and dirty bedding. When she leaves, she swears the scent is coming from her.

I bet she grooms and grooms, even takes to rolls in the river to wet her pelt.

I bet she jabs back just as playfully at teasing about her wanting to join RiverClan but she still doesn’t feel all the way Clean. I don’t know if she ever will.

She’s not mouse-brained. She knows it wasn’t her fault, that Ashfur was evil, that they were never mates.

She thinks of Ashfur, hurting the cats she loved over and over again. She knows logically it wasn’t her fault.

But there’s stones in her belly that wonder what she did to drive him to it. What she could have prevented and avoided. If she’d been nicer turning him down. If she hadn’t been so close with him when Brambleclaw fueded with her. All the lives lost because she couldn’t suck it up and given him what he wanted.

She doesn’t remember being as afraid of him as she is now. She doesn’t remember the sick emotions swelling back up again. She didn’t think it hurt her so badly in ways she can’t describe. She doesn’t know how to stop it.

Requested by @doritopaw101 but I accidentally deleted the ask. Anyways Squilf facing the sun as she’s thrown off the rocks by Brashstar [Ashfur when he took Bramblestar’s body in tbc].

(Squirrelflight has been thrown by Brashstar and is facing up, claws reached out as she’s illuminated by the bright sun above. Five leaves twirl around her on the left and the shadow of Brashstar is at the bottom right standing on highledge. Squirrelflight is a fluffy red cat with large green eyes and a white paw. Light wing tufts are on her back but the left one is black like her tail and other paws. A large scar is across her belly like a bramble tendril along with her left ear being ripped at the edge. Under her is Thunderclan’s lake camp in the gorge with sand underneath her, the rocks going up to highledge and grass. The faint signature “Nightly-Ruse 2023” is over on the right side of her. i really thought that they were going to have this arc focus on df redemption because of how lame and unsatisfactory the answer of "oh sorry we cant let them in because uhmm they did something mean generations ago or something and theyre already dead so it doesnt matter" was (esp after all the build up of seeing the df residents show that they CAN be good and help the protags and whatnot) and i really wish they would've gone that route. tbh i think it would've been cool if one of the perspectives was from a starclan/df cat it would've been a breath of fresh air. but instead we got flamepaw 😒

i know exactly what you mean but my mind immediately went that there's a correlation between nightheart existing and the df cats being told they can't go to starclan

i saw you commented on my post and mapleshade is TOP tier best warrior cat ever. she got treated sooo dirty (ಥ﹏ಥ)

SHE DIDDDD she‘s one of my top 3 favorites (alongside nightcloud and squirrelstar) bc she got done SO dirty both in-world and in the fandom. i absolutely adore her. she’s the only warrior cat i got an official plushie for too :3!!!!!! wanna get squirrel + leaf + holly too but they’re lowk expensive,,,

anyway i support women’s rights and women’s wrongs and mapleshade is a prime example and i love her soso much. i first read her novella on a kindle past midnight years ago and it’s a core memory for me. wanna relive that day so badly

still wish shadowsight died instead of bristlefrost. not out of any particular malice towards the character I just think HE was the one most consistently tangled up with the imposter.

he was his first target, and continued to be throughout the arc. rootspring had the brambleghost subplot for a bit; and bristle HAD been pretty involved through the imposter manipulation until root needed a reciprocating girlfriend.

not saying it's impossible for bristle to sacrifice herself instead, but the character we got in end...well it felt like she didn't earn the grand finale y'know?

also with shadow gone we wouldn't get sadboy angst over a dead lover or whatever (I have no idea how prevalent rootsprings grief has been in asc btw. if at all.)

i haven’t read the new arc (YET?) but from what i know, i don’t understand why people so vehemently despise sunbeam and nightheart? in fact from what i know i think they’d be really sweet together.

from what i know, sunbeam comes from shadowclan and moved to thunderclan to escape her abusive mother berryheart and to be with nightheart. and nightheart is firekin, i think sparkpelt’s kit or grandkit? and he constantly has the expectations to be like firestar due to being part of his bloodline, to the point where they ignore his feelings. they’re apparently really boring because there’s no drama between them and they’re a normal, bland relationship.

i don’t know about you guys but based on this information (assuming it’s correct) then these two are a great couple. a good relationship will often seem boring to other people, and that’s fine! if nightsun are happy and healthy then i’d honestly prefer that. we have so many abusive relationships in warriors that i think we need some protagonists to portray a healthy relationship. :)

plus i’m actually excited at the idea of moonpaw being their kit. i’d love to see the sweet development of these two coming from unhealthy families breaking the cycle and raising a loving family. even if it doesn’t seem like much to moonpaw, it should mean a lot to us readers. we’ll have known what they went through in their own families. seeing them become the opposite of what they were raised by would be so powerful!

this is my outsider opinion though and i don’t know much about them, but i wanted to give my input! 💖
