I really do enjoy the whole series, but I will say that the final episode is my fave.

It was the episode that actually introduced me to the series :3

I dont keep up with a lot of things online, especially when it comes to different series and shows.

While I was mindlessly doomscrolling on tiktok one day, when a clip for the final fight between Uzi and Cyn crossed my path.

I was so intrigued by the animation, the music, and even more so the characters (especially Cyn) that I began to look it up.

My brain needed a new hyperfixation to get me back into art and now look where we are lol

What's the nicest thing shu did to his brothers ?

I’d say the nicest thing Shuu’s ever done for his brothers is varied. With his natural apathetic approach towards everything in life— including his relationships with people— it’s hard to pinpoint when he’d find the room to care.

But here’s some examples that I can think of:

Subaru: Aiding Subaru to leave and escape after he had killed Karlheinz. Shuu stated that the others would attempt to kill Subaru for it, so leaving would be the best option. [During Subaru’s route— unsure of specific game.]

Kanato: Calming Kanato down after a tantrum/mental breakdown. [During A Sub Scenario with Kanato in Vandead Carnival.]

Lost Eden; When Shuu took the mantle of Vampire King and worked towards making amends, etc.

Shuu acknowledging Reiji and all that he did. [Unsure of specific game and route.]

The writers may change this in later seasons…but….

I was so thoroughly unprepared for how deep Erik’s feelings for Rogue ran in X-Men ‘97.

The fact that it was HER voice that helped him regain his awareness while his ‘bestie who loved him best’ was hijacking his mind (these two are the simultaneous best and worst friends for each other good gravy) despite having his heart broken by her after who knows how long since Genosha.

My heart breaks so much for them.

as a note, here: i came into this show blind—like i haven’t seen any of the movies, i hadn’t read any of the comics, i hadn’t seen the original show, the only xmen content i’d ever consumed was SOME of evolution back when it was airing, so i DEFINITELY had no idea about any of this going in

i got into the show—and rogue/magneto’s relationship in the show—and got ultra lucky about finding other shippers who were willing to help me navigate the comics and various storylines, and finding out how deep their relationship goes and how it’s played out over the years has been so….like oh my gosh.

rogue’s voice breaking through to erik while charles was so deep in his subconscious with him, her being portrayed as part of the group of people one has to assume he holds dearest….like i have so many feelings about that scene with the boat it’s crazy.

charles talking about how everyone has their own storm inside but rogue being shown in erik’s mind as being ready to leap over the side of that boat and try to get to him—her still calling out to him and him sounding so hopeful when he says her name and then so heartbroken when he says ‘she left me’, her there with his children, who are shown only in shadow, unmoving, like the boat represents these people he loves so much but feels like he’s lost, or that have drifted away from him but again: rogue’s still actively calling out to him and looks like she’s seeking a way to get to him….oh i am so unwell over them and how in love with her magneto is. 🥺

Monster

The word rang in his head. A part of his sanity snapping away as it triggered a fit of blind rage.

This small creature continued to babble on, one insult after another, though most of what they said didn’t matter. Any words spoken now would fall on deaf ears. Even if they tried to beg for forgiveness, it would not stop him from ripping that mouth from that arrogant face.

Horns sprouted from his head and claws tore through his gloves. Usual blue eyes that now burned a deep red, honed in on his target.

“BE QUIET.” His voice boomed in a rattling mixture of two different pitches, as if another had spoke with him. A sharp hand reached out to grasp this nuisance and tear it apart.

“Wait!” Faun threw herself between them.

It was clear to see she was running on empty and hardly holding herself up. Even so, Faun held her ground even with such an overwhelmingly power looming over her. ??? Grabbed her by the wrist with a crushing force. Wincing at the pain, Faun grasped his arm with her free hand. She stare firmly into his eyes as she released whatever power she had left.

“You need to calm down.” She tried to reason with him. “You are not a monster. Don’t listen to someone so meaningless.” His grip tightened, sneering at her remark.

“Savior or not, do not stand in my way.” His voice still ringing with another’s.

That was it, all the energy she had left faded from her body and her legs gave out. Her vision blurred as she fell, then she completely lost consciousness. As if a reflex, he grasped her falling figure before it could meet ground.

With that, he had returned to himself. Eyes now a familiar blue and aggression dissipated. He stare a moment, coming to an understanding of what just happened. A memory played in his head, one he wished he hadn’t remembered. But that would have to wait.

His gaze fell upon the absol. As much as he’d like to rid the world of this thing, he had other priorities. Such as finding the one this frail lady claims can restore his memory. Though it was clear she was in no position to do so… he’d need to find a healer.

Without another thought for Destino, he spread his large black wings and took flight, Faun in his grasp.

The Meowstic seemed to stare in confusion momentarily as he attempted to process all of the information Lief was saying. When he finally did, one thing stood out from the rest.

Based on how ghosts tend to work, she could have been stuck to Cyn for a while and unable to move on to the afterlife due to her extremely traumatic death + Cyn wearing her like a coat.

It seems like she would maybe become unstuck after Cyn melted? And while I don’t have beef with the idea of her being part of the Uzi Consciousness Party I’m not sure why she would be, there’s no reason for her to go there because she doesn’t know Uzi and Uzi doesn’t like… have ownership of anything that was hers.

if she didn’t move on, i imagine her ghost would just be following one of the DD trio around.

I don't have an issue with the idea either,

it's just something that doesn't make sense to me.

Uzi doesn't have any connection to Tessa, (other than the Solver) so even if Tessa's ghost/consciousness/whatever was still there, why would she stick around?

"It seems like she would maybe become unstuck after Cyn melted?" ^ I fully agree with this. If her soul was stuck to the Solver/Cyn after her death, her soul would be released once Cyn's body was destroyed and the Solver became attached to Uzi.

Castiel, huh? Well, he was a cute baby...and Once scooped him up after he was giving the okay. Holding him close and seeing his red hair that he inherited from Alastor, it was an adorable sight. What was even cuter was that Castel looked more like DT than anything. Strange, but cute nonetheless..
