My take on Jenny’s ‘hot rod’ design!

I think Percy is overrated. Now before you freak out listen. I think Percy is overrated in HIS world. Like in CHB. Like in the books. Like in that universe. Obviously maybe overrated isn't quite the word for it, but hear me out.

Percy Jackson has the effect that actors do in this world. Meaning he isn't quite treated like anyone else. Like how another camp-halfblooder sees him is different from how his close friends and family sees him. They see his funny, his sad, his happy. While everyone else sees his power, his skill, his rage in battle.

Percy is overrated in the sense that all the cool things he does overshine all the cool things that other campers have done. Like yeah he deserves cred for the things his done, but like were is that cred for other people. Like do you hear anyone mention how cool it was Grover was the first satyr to find Pan? do you see them mention Annabeth for how long she held the SKY? And alot of things the campers do.

I mean obviously other campers do get credit for the things they do, but not the same as Percy Jackson.

Like imagine the amount of people who despise Percy for outshining them, or feel like his an attention seeker because they don't know him personally. And imagine all the people in his world that fawn over him, and are just like obsessed with him because of countless reasons. Now to addon, imagine those who hate him because he couldn't save someone they love, or imagine someone who loves/is obsessed with him because they saved someone they love or them. Goodness imagine the amount of people who feel peer pressured to like him.

Also the pressure that is put on Percy because of the high expectations put on him. Anology time: Now if you really wanted shoes you would want the best of the best right, the strongest, longlasting, good quality right? It's the same for the gods, and other people in Percy's world. They always want him to do something , help with something, quest for simething. BECAUSE he is CONSIDERED the BEST OF THE BEST. Don't you think it kinda pressures him to be the BEST, ALWAYS. Now, I'm not going to get in depth with how he must feel becausd of this, but yeah.

That's what I mean by Percy is overrated in the books, in his universe.

(I can try to go in more depth about anything I just mentioned in this if y'all want. Writing this made me feel so much better today, tough week, lols. ❤️❤️)
