इत्यर्जुनं वासुदेवस्तथोक्त्वा स्वकं रूपं दर्शयामास भूय: | आश्वासयामास च भीतमेनं भूत्वा पुन: सौम्यवपुर्महात्मा || 50||

Sanjay said:

Thus, having spoken to Arjun, the son of Vasudev displayed his own form again. And he consoled him who was frightened, becoming again gentle in form, the great soul.

Sanjay, the narrator of the Bhagvad Gita, reports to King Dhritarashtra what happened after Lord Krishna revealed his universal form (Vishwarupa) to Arjun, his devotee and friend, on the battlefield of Kurukshetra.

Arjun was overwhelmed and terrified by the sight of the Cosmic Form of Krishna, which displayed the creation and destruction of all beings, and the power and glory of the Supreme Lord. He praised and worshipped Krishna, but also begged him to withdraw his fearful form and show him his familiar and pleasing form.

Krishna, out of his compassion and Grace, obliged Arjun's request and resumed his human form, which was dear to Arjun. He also comforted Arjun, who was still trembling and agitated, by assuring him that he was favored and blessed by seeing the rare and supreme vision of the Lord's Cosmic Form.

Similar verses from Vedic texts are:

तदेव ब्रह्म त्वं विद्धि नेदं यदिदमुपासते || १४ ||

That alone is Brahman, know that, not this which people worship here.

This verse teaches that the Ultimate Reality is Brahman, the one without a second, and not the various forms and names that people worship as gods and goddesses. Brahman is the source and essence of all existence, and can only be known by direct Realization, not by ritual or worship.

- Yogavashishta 6.2.13:

न च किञ्चिदस्ति न च किञ्चिद्भवति न च किञ्चिद्भविष्यति न च किञ्चिद्भवति न च किञ्चिद्भविष्यति || १३ ||

There is nothing, there was nothing, there will be nothing, there is nothing, there will be nothing.

This verse is a radical statement of the non-existence of the world, which is seen as an illusion (Maya) projected by the mind. The only reality is the Pure Consciousness (Chit), which is beyond time, space, and causation. The world is a dream, and the wise ones wake up from it and abide in the bliss of the Self.

"The Church as the Divine Aspect." From the Kena Upanishad. The Exploration of the Mysteries of Why?

Chapter 4

IV-1. She said: “It was Brahman. In the victory that was Brahman’s you were revelling in joy”. Then alone did Indra know for certain that It was Brahman.

IV-2. Therefore, these gods viz. Agni, Vayu and Indra excelled other gods, for they touched Brahman who stood very close and indeed knew first that It was Brahman.

IV-3. Therefore is Indra more excellent than the other gods, for he touched Brahman who stood very close and indeed knew first that It was Brahman.

IV-4. Its instruction (regarding meditation) is this. It is similar to that which is like a flash of lightning or like the winkling of the eye. This is (the analogy of Brahman) in the divine aspect.

IV-5. Then (follows) the instruction through analogy on the aspect of the individual self. (It is well-known that) the mind seems to attain to It, that It is continually remembered by the mind, and that the mind possesses the thought (regarding It).

 IV-6. That Brahman is known indeed as Tadvana (worshipful or adorable to all beings); That is to be worshipped as Tadvana. To him who knows It thus verily all beings pray.

 IV-7. (Disciple:) “Revered sir, speak Upanishad to me.” (Teacher:) “I have spoken Upanishad to thee. Of Brahman verily is the Upanishad that I have spoken.”

 IV-8. Of this knowledge austerity, self-restraint and action are the feet, the Vedas are all limbs and truth is the abode.

IV-9. He who knows this thus, with his sins destroyed, becomes firmly seated in the infinite, blissful and supreme Brahman. He becomes firmly seated (in Brahman).

Of all the sacraments, meditation, the ability to find and then manage the soul is the greatest. Knowledge of the creation, discipline, discretion, and righteousness these teachings make the church and all of its pilgrimages an indispensable part of God's plan for mankind.

Just as the elements underwernt tumult in the making of the surface of the earth, so is our mankind undergoing the final difficulties associated with our human nature. While things certainly seem dire, and almost everyone is wondering why despots, bigots, warmongers and violence still exist, why have we ignored the signs are planet is in peril, we are and always have been a work in progress.

So long as the Church of God pushes humanity to complete this progress, the possibility all sin will be destroyed is not lost.

Om ! May my limbs, speech, vital air, eyes, ears, strength,  And all the senses be fully developed.

All that is revealed by the Upanishads is Brahman. May I never deny Brahman: May Brahman never disown me. Let there be no repudiation (from Brahman);

Let there be no infidelity from my side.

May all the Dharmas extolled by the Upanishads shine in me Who am intent on knowing the Self. May they shine in me ! Om ! Peace ! Peace! Peace !
