True freedom is when all the stories, all the insights, all the realizations, concepts, beliefs and positions dissolve. What remains is what you are; a vast, conscious, luminous space simply resting in itself, not knowing a thing, at the point where all things are possible.

What is Being? And when they say "you just have to Be" what do they mean?
ANON I MUS: The word 'being' or 'just be' (in the spiritual context) is the recognition of your true nature. To Be is to exist, here and now. When your attention is here, you are present (as pure existence). At the deepest level you are not your changeful thoughts, emotions, physical senses and experiences. You are the the awareness of them. You are aware of your thoughts and body, they are not aware of you. You are likened to the vast, changeless, unaffected sky; do not take yourself to be the changing clouds of appearances/experiences. You can never not be yourself. Do not associate your being with any passing experience. It is only our fascination (obsession) with what appears to us (content of experience) that binds us. You are beyond the momentary experiences that come and go in the changeless reality of your SEEING. Rest in the conviction that you are never that which appears, you are always that which is aware. Be aware that you are. Be fascinated with your pure being, notice your silent, perceiving existence. Dissolving identification with what you are not is true spiritual practice, keep returning back to the awareness of Self. Simply know that you are.
I hope this helps, Love and light.

Intro to Nonduality:
What if the key to true freedom lies in understanding that the separation between 'you' and 'the world' never truly existed?
What is Nonduality?
"The moment you see through the illusion of separateness, you realize that the whole universe is your own self." – Ramesh Balsekar
Nonduality is a philosophical and spiritual concept that unveils the interconnected nature of reality beyond the human form and its deceptive illusion of separation. It teaches that the sense of an individual self, separate from the world and the universe, is a false identity. The 'individual self' is not the true essence of who we are—it's merely a mental construct that reinforces the illusion of separateness. Nonduality reveals that the underlying source of all existence and the entire universe is the infinite essence of consciousness—the true self.
Consciousness & Awareness - Essence of Nonduality:
"What you are looking for is already within you, in the form of pure consciousness, the essence of who you truly are." – Adyashanti
Consciousness is the unlimited source of all experiences and the essence of existence itself. It is the pure underlying presence in which everything arises. This pure consciousness is ultimately the true self’s nature beyond everything and all experiences. It is the fundamental essence of reality that completely transcends all.
Awareness is the aspect of consciousness that allows you to experience and perceive everything being experienced through the unique lens of perception you hold. It is the witness of all thoughts, emotions, and experiences without becoming involved or identified with it. Awareness serves as the observer.
Why is knowing this important?
"Knowing the self is the beginning of freedom. When you realize that you are not separate from everything, you break free from the illusion of duality." – Eckhart Tolle
Understanding the interconnected nature of reality revolves around being able to understand consciousness and the aspects of it that allow you to have a human experience in order for consciousness to recognize itself as the creator of all existence and its manifestation of humanity. Understanding the true self to be consciousness comes with many profound spiritual results such as:
Self-Awareness & Clarity:
It is essential to recognize that your true self is beyond all thoughts, emotions, and experiences in order to peacefully detach from them and break identification with them.
Understanding your consciousness allows you to see yourself as the observer of your experiences, rather than getting caught up in them or consumed by the stories playing out. This transformative shift in perception brings clarity, peace, and a deep sense of freedom, ultimately leading to liberation as the witness and source of it all.
Inner Peace: Recognizing your true self as consciousness allows you to explore and engage with your experiences from a place of peace and stability, regardless of the circumstances or stories that unfold before you.
Understanding the True Nature of Reality: This transformation in your perception of reality allows you to explore its true nature, cultivating a deeper connection with the underlying interconnectedness of all existence. As a result, you develop a greater appreciation for the ultimate beauty of the human experience.
Transcending the Ego - By breaking down the wall of the false sense of self and its identification with thoughts, emotions, desires, and experiences, you transcend the ego. As you do, you realize your true self as consciousness, and the mental construct of the ego becomes the servant rather than the master of the mind. This transformation allows you to experience life with greater peace and freedom. It’s about ascending beyond the ego’s control, revealing your true self beyond its mask.
Freedom & Liberation From Suffering - Much of human suffering arises from attachment to the false sense of self and the belief in separation from the world. By realizing that the true self transcends these mental constructs, you free yourself from the cycle of suffering, leading to greater bliss and contentment in the present moment.
Living With Liberation & Confidence As the Source - Realizing your true self allows you to live with spiritual confidence and liberation, as you come to recognize yourself as the limitless source of all existence and experience. Your perception of conscious manifestation transforms, shifting to see it as a flowing expression of consciousness, experiencing itself through you in the human form.
Increased Feelings of Compassion & The End of Dualistic Thinking - Recognizing your true self brings about stronger feelings of compassion and empathy, as you begin to see the same true self in everyone you encounter. By ending dualistic thinking, you come to view the entire nature of reality as interconnected and ever-changing, rather than divided by separation—an illusion that only reinforces the sense of disconnection.
Spiritual Fulfillment - Through understanding the true nature of the self as consciousness and having a direct experience of connection with it, the ultimate goal of many spiritual traditions—enlightenment or self-realization—is realized. Recognizing that your true self is beyond the mind, body, and all of existence itself inevitably leads to profound spiritual fulfillment, reinforcing a lasting and divine connection with your true self.
×××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××
"When you realize that there is no 'other,' there is only one, you awaken to the true nature of reality, and life becomes an expression of love." – Gangaji
This understanding of the nondual nature of reality allows you to transcend the limiting perception of yourself. It enables you to develop a deeper spiritual connection with your true self as consciousness, and to live with a profound sense of freedom and liberation. By recognizing that your truest essence of being is entirely beyond the mind and human creation, you experience life from a place of deeper self-awareness and inner peace.

Hey mystic
I was gonna link an ask from earlier but i cant seem to put links in here for some reason and google is not helping. Its the one about the non-dualism community and how toxic it can be. I just wanted to say I am glad others agree. I wouldn't consider myself a beginner to loa manifesting or shifting. I just think its crazy how someone says things like "just be" and someone asks them to clarify it and they respond by saying something like "do you need help drinking water."
Trends come and go, I'm sure once ND is no longer new someone else will unearth some old spiritual practice and claim its above LOA as well. I just wish everyone would be accepting and encouraging instead of what seems to be condescending because they think they know something no one else does.
Lastly I heard you say on the podcast the person you were gonna do it with is no longer in your life, sorry to hear that. I only bring this up because I believe I saw a post saying you manifested this person into your life and then they changed (I could be wrong though). I also manifested someone back (an ex) but it was a 'manifestation' and all i ended up creating was misery.
You don't have to answer this if the last part is too personal, but if you want send me a message. Just wanted to say I think you have some great views that resonated.
Great podcast btw
I completely agree with you and I'm glad that others are able to see the madness that I'm seeing.
What they usually mean by telling you all, "just be" is they're telling you to realize your true self as awareness. They're telling you to just recognize your divine nature in the present moment and enjoy knowing yourself.
I don't see why they don't just tell you to turn within and recognize your true self as awareness in this present moment without all the riddles.
I agree that everyone here should turn within themselves and listen to their inner guidance instead of relying on the "others" for advice, because then the constant search and craving for more answers will never end. However, at the same time, it's the polite and helpful thing to do to let your readers know exactly what they're looking for while you advise for them to look within themselves for the truth: realizing divine the source of your true self.
If everyone knew what they were looking for, I think they would have an easier time turning within and trusting their inner voice to lead them to answers.
I feel as if the lack of clarification on exactly what to look for is unnecessary and it can come off as mind games instead of just being direct with the readers and telling them all, "you're turning within to realize your true nature. Hint: you are always *aware.*"
I happen to notice from time to time as well that some of these bloggers feel the need to use the whole "words are meaningless" nonsense as a moronic excuse to bully or put down other blogs amongst themselves or with their anons for simply viewing things in a different perspective and I don't think that's cool for anyone to do.
That behavior isn't right. It's just plain mean.
Everyone is entitled to their own perspective and share their own views, but to publicly put down specific blog names for everyone to hear and make fun of them together? Very condescending and cold.
Oh, believe me, I'm waiting for the next spiritual trend to come out of nowhere. I wonder what it's going to be next. Now my curiosity is in flames.
To end things here, I want to thank you so much for your kinds words and the lovely compliment.
Your feedback and appreciation for the podcast means so much to me. I'm so very glad to hear that my perspective of things resonated with you.
Thank you for enjoying my podcast.

Andromeda galaxy in the sky over the Swiss Alps. Credit: Dzmitry Kananovich.
“Like the subtle essence of the mustard seed that brings forth a tree, the subtle essence of one’s heart (the Spirit) has the potential to unfold the entire universe within itself. In Chhandogya Upanishad, Shwetaketu is asked by his Guru, Sage Aruni, to break a tiny seed and see what lies within it. Shwetaketu replies that he sees nothing within the seed. Sage Aruni explains that in that subtle essence, which appears as nothing, a great tree is hidden. In the same way, human beings appear to be nothing and yet this whole universe, the subtle Atman or the Self, the innermost Reality, is hidden within every person.” (p. 233)

"In the darkest hours of the soul's night, we find ourselves face to face with our deepest fears and unresolved shadows. But it is in this profound obscurity that the soul's transformation begins, for only by navigating the abyss can we emerge into the radiant dawn of self-discovery. As the moonlight guides us through this sacred journey, it is the spark of inner illumination that ultimately leads us from the depths of despair to the luminous path of self-realization."

The Philosophy of Advaita Vedanta
Advaita Vedanta is a non-dualistic school of Hindu philosophy that teaches that the ultimate reality, Brahman, is singular and that the individual self, Atman, is not separate from this ultimate reality. "Advaita" literally means "not two," indicating the core idea that Atman and Brahman are one and the same, and that any perception of duality (between self and world, subject and object) is an illusion.
Key Principles of Advaita Vedanta
Non-Duality (Advaita):
The central tenet of Advaita Vedanta is that there is only one ultimate reality, Brahman, which is infinite, formless, and beyond all distinctions. The apparent multiplicity of the world and separate selves (Atman) is considered Maya (illusion).
Atman (the individual self) is identical to Brahman. The idea that we are separate individuals with independent identities is an illusion caused by ignorance (Avidya).
Brahman:
Brahman is the universal, unchanging, infinite reality that underlies all existence. It is beyond time, space, and causality, and is the only true essence of everything.
Brahman is often described as Nirguna Brahman (Brahman without attributes), meaning it is formless, indescribable, and transcendent, but it can also be understood as Saguna Brahman (Brahman with attributes) when conceptualized as a personal God with qualities for devotional purposes.
Atman:
Atman refers to the inner self or soul, which is eternal and identical with Brahman. In Advaita Vedanta, realizing that one's true self (Atman) is Brahman is the goal of spiritual practice.
The ignorance (Avidya) of this fundamental identity between Atman and Brahman is what causes Samsara (the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth) and suffering.
Maya (Illusion):
The world of appearance, multiplicity, and individuality is called Maya. Maya is responsible for creating the illusion of separation and duality.
While the world appears real on a practical level (Vyavaharika), it is ultimately unreal on the absolute level (Paramarthika). Realizing the nature of Maya helps one see beyond the illusion to the true oneness of reality.
Avidya (Ignorance):
Avidya is the root cause of the human experience of duality and separation. It is the ignorance of the true nature of the self, leading to the mistaken belief in the individuality of the self (ego) and the reality of the material world.
Liberation, or Moksha, is attained through the removal of Avidya and the realization of one’s identity with Brahman.
Jnana Yoga (Path of Knowledge):
The primary method to attain liberation in Advaita Vedanta is Jnana Yoga, or the path of knowledge. This involves deep philosophical inquiry and meditation on the nature of the self, using teachings like "Tat Tvam Asi" ("You are That"), which emphasizes the unity of Atman and Brahman.
The study of Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and other scriptural texts is central to the pursuit of Jnana.
Liberation (Moksha):
Moksha is the realization of the oneness of Atman and Brahman, which frees one from the cycle of Samsara. It is the ultimate goal of human existence in Advaita Vedanta.
This liberation is not about going somewhere else or achieving something new, but about realizing what has always been true: that one's true nature is already infinite, eternal, and beyond duality.
Guru and Shravana, Manana, Nididhyasana:
A guru (spiritual teacher) plays a crucial role in guiding a disciple toward the realization of non-duality.
The traditional method of learning in Advaita Vedanta includes:
Shravana: Listening to the teachings of the scriptures.
Manana: Reflecting upon those teachings.
Nididhyasana: Deep meditation on the truth of the teachings, leading to the experiential realization of non-duality.
Advaita Vedanta and Other Philosophical Systems
Dvaita (Dualism): In contrast to Advaita's non-dualism, Dvaita Vedanta holds that the individual self (Atman) and the supreme being (Brahman) are eternally distinct. Dualistic schools argue for a personal relationship with God and a clear distinction between creator and creation.
Visishtadvaita (Qualified Non-Dualism): This school also sees unity in the universe but believes that individual souls and the material world are real parts of Brahman, distinct yet inseparably connected.
Buddhism: Although there are some similarities between Advaita Vedanta and Mahayana Buddhism (e.g., the idea of emptiness and the illusion of separateness), Buddhism rejects the concept of an eternal, unchanging self (Atman), which Advaita Vedanta upholds.
Advaita Vedanta is a profound philosophical system that focuses on realizing the ultimate oneness of all reality, transcending the illusion of duality. Through spiritual knowledge, self-inquiry, and meditation, one can awaken to the truth that the individual self (Atman) and the universal consciousness (Brahman) are not separate, leading to liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

Note
I feel like I don't understand what "awareness" means anymore. I've seen the word be used a lot but I genuinely don't understand it anymore. Or maybe it's because I'm overcomplicating it. When i become "aware" of something it just means I'm putting my attention on it? And at that moment I'm experiencing it? I'm not sure. Can you please speak on awareness itself and what it truly means. What does it mean when people say "you are only awareness", "awareness is all that is". Thank you for reading and sorry that this ask was all over the place
This is a great question.
Awareness is the focused and attentive aspect of consciousness (the true self).
It is the lens of perception that allows you to witness and perceive having a human experience. It serves as the observer that enables you to be aware of thoughts, emotions, and sensory perceptions in your experience without becoming attached to or identified with them. Awareness allows you to notice those elements of the mind, without becoming entangled in them.
To further answer your question, those who say those things are referring to the true self's nature on the deepest level as consciousness.
Consciousness is the vast and pure field from which existence and all experiences arise. It is the essence of being and the all-encompassing presence that underlies and transcends everything.
It is the absolute foundation of reality.
Together, consciousness and awareness form the entire totality of existence.

Turiya
The Witness That Is Everything Most understand Turiya as the silent witness beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. It is often considered the empty observer, untouched by the movements of mind, body, and experience. This perspective, though true, is not the full picture. The notion of an “empty witness” can still carry a subtle duality—a sense of something separate, detached, and standing…
