I’m afab but I want so badly to be androgynous. I am neutrois.. i feel like I’m not thin or tall enough with the right bone structure to ever look how I want. I wonder if it comes off to other ppl thru other enigmatic ways that I can’t recognize? Are there any theory PDFs/ books on androgyny?
I haven’t read all of these, but the descriptions and reviews seem pretty good on all of them.
Books:
Androgyny: The Opposites Within (Jung on the Hudson Book Series) - keep in mind this book is 20 years old now, so it’s bound to be a bit dated, but it’s about mixing femininity and masculinity and how we’re all made up of components of both
Seeing Gender: An Illustrated Guide to Identity and Expression - a guide on navigating and accepting your gender and how you express it
The Queer and Transgender Resilience Workbook: Skills for Navigating Sexual Orientation and Gender Expression (New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook) - a workbook on self-love, navigating your identity, and learning to accept yourself
Androgyne: Fashion and Gender - a history of androgyny leading to modern fashion, including photos
The Body Is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love - body positivity and how to love your body as it is
Being in Your Body (Guided Journal): A Journal for Self-Love and Body Positivity - unlearning body shaming messages
Articles:
I Am Androgynous & I Want To Talk About Body Image. - being androgynous with a “non-standard” body type
9 Plus Size Cuties Share Tips for Androgynous Style - series of interviews on different views of androgyny and what it means to different queer folk
Fat Queer Tells All: On Fatness and Gender Flatness - what it means to queer gender expression when fatness impacts how we view gender already
The Pursuit of Androgyny - a coming to terms of gender expression through our narrow, rigid understanding of androgyny
Blogs:
Alok Vaid-Menon - writes a lot about gender neutrality in fashion and breaking down binary roles and standards (they also do poetry as part of a duo, Darkmatter, which you may be interested in looking through)
Sorry I couldn’t find more books that were specifically androgyny-focused! Followers, do you have any recs to share?

I'm reading Anneliese Singh's The Queer and Transgender Resilience Workbook (Pub Date 01 Feb 2018) after finding it on netgalley, and came across this little tibid in chapter one:
"Finally, we should acknowledge people who identify as asexual—they tend to not want to engage in sexual behavior, and they may or may not feel strong attractions to others."
Struck me as a bit odd to mention behaviour before identity, but overall I was rather thrilled to find the mention. Really looking forwards to reading this book.
