There are a finite number of rainstorms and seasons that we’ll witness, and the number seems so big until it doesn’t. We never know when will be the last time we taste something or see someone or do anything at all. And for all the money in the world, time is not for sale no matter what the doctors say when we beg for more of it toward the end, finally seeing that we forgot to count the raindrops.

Currently watching Helen of Troy (2003). I have many concerns lmao I'm not a fan. BUT. They did include the death of Iphigenia (though in this one she's like 6?) and what was insane was that the soldiers played with her as they led her to the altar, lifting her by her arms and bouncing her, and she was laughing all the while. Agamemnon caught her in his arms, spun her around, and then killed her. Insane scene in a movie I was watching at like 5/10 interest

#also another point to the movie: everything is so much colorful here than in more recent movies #but also...so many strange strange decisions #also they do the thing where they present the greeks as worse/barbaric to present troy as better #oh also i think one of the soldiers was holding back tears
