They say that the blue hour is a memorable moment, let's see what will happen to them after entering this forbidden amusement park.

The blue hour, the period between day and night when the sky fills almost entirely with a darker blue than the sky-blue of the day. More precisely, it corresponds to a short period of nautical twilight or nautical dawn.

But in this case, it's a curse that's best avoided. The rule was simple and everyone in town knew it: don't go to the abandoned faire.

I mean, sometimes it was open to the public on special occasions, but as soon as the blue hour approached, you had to get out of there.

What happened at the blue hour? People didn't know, it was almost as if people disappeared, but ... how could you disappear like that from one day to the next?

That was the question our dear boys were asking themselves. It was Yeonjun who came up with the idea of going there illegally, followed by Beomgyu, who agreed while the information was still processing in the others' minds.

-"I don't think it's a good idea" declared Soobin.

- "Come on, there's five of us, if something happens to one of us, we'll know what to do", reassured a determined Yeonjun.

And so, as the day drew to a close, they made their way to the fair when no one was watching.

It was beautiful and brightly lit from afar, yet gave off nothing scary to make them think about leaving or returning home to their daily lives.

As you can see, our five friends were very much of the day-to-day type and had had many unforgettable experiences since they were in middle school together. It was always the brave boys who got the ball rolling and the shy ones who followed, but they all ended up having a great time.

So when they arrived at the fairground, it was a moment of complete amazement. The park was lively and brightly lit, with fairground music playing in the background. The food stalls even had hot food!

-I think- but Taehyun was interrupted by Kai, who exclaimed that there was a carousel in the distance and decided to run for it.

- "Relax, everything's going to be fine" reassured Beomguy before drawing his friend towards the carousel.

Yes, nothing scary when you're not approaching the blue hour. As the sky turned a darker shade of blue compared to the daytime sky, the blue hour finally arrived, and that's when the curse kicked in.

At first, there was nothing very remarkable, but if there was nothing visible, it was mainly because everything was happening in their minds. The first few minutes of the blue hour made them forget all worries and stress, as if they were in a state of ataraxia where happiness reigned.

All the attractions worked, but Beomgyu's favorite was the mirror maze, especially when, instead of his usual relfet, Yeonjun had a pig in front of him, which made his friend laugh, while the main cincerned, less amused by this, pinched the younger man's cheek, noticing that it seemed plumper than before... or maybe he'd just never noticed.

It's like Soobin who, after playing dart shooting, felt that his arms seemed heavier, as if there were no muscle and just fat, pure fat.

Or Taehyun who felt his steps were different as if he could no longer walk without waddling.

Huening was also caught up in the euphoria, laughing and doing all the attracrion he could see. He was acting like he'd never acted before; it was as if he was regressing mentally to want to do only two things: have fun and eat.

Because yes, food was omnipresent, but especially in large quantities. A small packet of popcorn was the equivalent of at least one size large.

Soda was unlimited, not to mention the hotdog stands that were always there and always hot.

Although they didn't notice it, they were far too caught up in their ataraxia to notice that they were getting fatter, that Huening couldn't even get into the carousel without making the atraction creak loudly.

Beomgyu was becoming a veritable piglet in spite of having teased his friend earlier.

That Taehyun ended up waddling but ended up sitting on a chair to rest, but broke it and ended up on the floor.

That Soobin had become so fat that his belly was resting on the edge of the shooting range. Then he didn't even try to shoot any more - he'd realized it was no use - he'd become too fat for that, instead he was gorging himself on fairyfloss from the stand next door.

Finally, Yeinjun, who had initiated the idea, was the only one with any conscience. So when he saw that in the place of his flat tummy there was a massive belly in its place. His crop top was useless , not even to cover his man-boobs, which were also getting bigger by the minute. He tried to run to warn his friends to leave.

But, they all seemed so happy, so relaxed as if it were a constant climax lingering in their minds.

The end of the blue hour was approaching and there was nothing to stop them leaving, they had already become too big and stupid to try and escape.

Over time, they'd all become really fat, either breaking something like Huening, who'd managed to break one of the caroussel horses, or just breaking their clothes, ripping off their current clothes, which didn't fit them.

There they were, naked, fat but still wanting more. Yeonjun felt powerless, but eventually succumbed.

When he noticed a pig's tail growing on each of them, their skin turned pink and now they couldn't speak without snarling like pigs.

Now we knew what happened to those who tried to enter the fair during blue hour. Gluttony take possession of them.

Ásatrú, Gender, Polyamory, and more.

A friend in Port Callahan asked about these things, prompted by the following image, and well. I suppose I can catalogue my journey with heathenry up to this point here, you know?

So, as you probably know, I am a practicing - and learning - Ásatraur. What is an Ásatraur, though? Well, colloquially we're known as Norse Pagans. We worship the Gods known as Odin, Thor, Tyr, Freyja, lots of Gods. Like there are a lot. Also, Loki! Loki gets a bad rep, but he's... Kinda' just a force of change? Like you can't really say "Odin bad Loki good" it does not work that way, that's a Christian-influence simplification. Loki does make for a great antagonist in narratives based on the Eddas though, haha. Anyway, let's get back to it. We mostly just vibe! We don't really actively recruit, we just let people pick up the phone, so to speak. That's what I did. I felt a pull to the Norse Gods as early as 11 years old. That was a... Jam packed time in my life, let me tell you. The first real piece of it was this funny little emblem from Halo 2.

"Valkyrie" This has been my go-to emblem for a looooong long time. The emblem isn't significant in its own way to my religion I don't think, but it stuck with me. What was another piece? Well, any number of things - growing up a curious young boy, curious about the world. The idea of pagans was interesting - and even as a young non-denominational christian, I didn't want to discount folks' religions. I didn't see any reason they couldn't coexist. My dad called me a Pagan for believing that, but, well he would be right eventually.

This is Van. Vanessa Thrace. She was my first attempt at a Truesona, back when I was dating a friend - wanted someone that was closer to me. Both of those things changed at some point, but keyword - changed! They didn't end! Because when I moved here to my dear wife @opashoo, I suddenly was in a Filipino household - a proudly Filipino household. These were second generation immigrants born here from a first generation immigrant. They'd brought back quite a bit from the homeland, culturally. The kids were raised American but the mother is anything but. And I... sort of felt out of place. Over the last few years I'd become immensely disenfranchised with how I was raised - simply American. No heritage. No traditions. Just American. What was my heritage? War, apartheid, glorification of war, consumerism, food, whiteness and an overbearing reliance on Christianity. Fuck that. Fuck all of that dude.

So I asked myself, what do I have? Can't just take any old culture, that's appropriation. But, then I remembered... "Hey, wait. My dad did a genealogy test. He came up mostly Scandinavian. We already knew this but we thought it was scottish ancestry - no, turns out it was Vikings. Huh."

And theeen a loooot of things clicked.

Now in this moment I need to detail something I skipped over.

Oh Kara Thrace, you crazy cunt. You crazy crazy bitch. Definitely one of my biggest fictional crushes ever - Kara Thrace was the baddest bitch on TV when I was a young boy. I'd had a handful of pilot idols, sometimes they were women and all that mattered to me was, "Were they good pilots?" - and Hel the fuck yeah they were. Especially her. Kara's the best pilot. The best fucking pilot ever. Luke Skywalker? Please. Wedge Antilles? As if. Darth Vader? IDK they're pretty supernaturally gifted both of them. Fox McCloud, Han Solo, Spike Spiegel, Hoban Washburn?

All great, but none of 'em are Kara Frakking "Starbuck" Thrace. After all, who could be? Well, that was a worthwhile question to answer. So... I took the name, Kara. I decided it would be my promise to myself. "Live up to the name. Be the best pilot you can be." Even if my Deuteranopia had other plans. For a little while there I was, actually, extremely good and known to be, extremely fucking good.

Oh boy was I ever. Firaxa-1 "Dodger". A name that's gonna' live in a lot of heads for a loooooooong time to come. But that's a story for another day. Well you see, choosing Kara was accidentally... prescient. You see, Kara, really Kára, is a name of Scandinavian origin. It is the name of one of the Valkyries - a particularly tempestuous one. I can relate. They say that it's Italian but... Nah, it's not solely Italian. Well, this was the name I picked. It pretty accidentally lined up with my faith-to-be, so that was really fucking cool. I think I sort of knew though, having played God of War 4 recently and beating every Valkyrie that wasn't named Sigrun. Anyway. With my love's permission - because... Well, we have a lot of loud racists in the Asatru community - I had to make sure sure trusted her new girlfriend with this exploration, and not to get weird and crazy with it. And she did - I got her permission and abandoned Christianity after many years of disillusionment, feeling unwelcome, unwanted, and uncared for by the faith. There's still so much I'm learning. I still haven't read the Eddas. I REALLY need to. But I've celebrated Midsommar, Yule, a couple of times, a couple of Blots, and I personally got my mother in law into Mead - she LOVES the stuff and she doesn't even drink. Anyway. That's how I ended up an outspoken queer heathen. So... What about the subject? Well, here's where Van comes back in.

Van was the one I targeted for heathening up - as, at the time, Sal was in a different kind of slot. So I used Van - who had been a somewhat cynical truesona (Unemployed, played gigs at bars, lived out of a Van, etc.), into something a lot more aspirational. Van stopped being just a Shark, and ended up a Ru, which are the shark folk of my own setting, Beacon.

It was certainly a choice to prominently feature Heathen imagery in Beacon as I continued to develop it, but it was, I think, the right choice. Through Van I explored Ru identity - and now they're Shark Orc Vikings who are kinda' fuzzy, in space. They're also huge. Like, 7 feet tall. (Hilariously, not huge by furry shark standards, but I'm not talking about my gripes with Furry Shark Twitter HERE... Not yet... Not today!) And out comes the chief representative of the people to the audience thus far, as a character. Van had become something more solid in my setting and was a... "Fully realized" me. But my relationship to heathenry does not stop there. Because, for you see, I am transgender. I am very very transgender.

And I make no effort to hide that I am a Heathen. I tell people, when relevant, that I'm transgender. At least when it feels safe to. I do not hide that I am MADLY in love with my beautiful wife who is very much not white. I do all these things in opposition to the bastards who try to steal my ancestors' symbols and use them for eugenics, bigotry, hatred, segregation - evil shit. Evil shit that they should NOT be safe for advocating.

There will come a day where someone gets the wrong idea. Maybe they'll think I'm a horrid bigot for wearing these symbols - I wouldn't blame them. I'm over six feet tall, pale as shit, blonde and blue eyed- I'm like, the PICTURE of what weirdos think Viking women should be. lol, too bad for those types, I'm transgender. But, also, like... There'll come a day where some other heathen who wants to stir shit up will figure out I'm not like them, and want to get into a scuffle. I'm ready for both of those things. One can be handled by talking, the other needs some fists. But, yeah. It's part of why I'm so outwardly, loudly, a heathen. Why I wear every single thing proudly. Because if I don't all we collectively are gonna' be known for is hate. We can't have that. Not when we're gaining more members every day, not when we can set good examples, not when we can CHOOSE to oust fascists, bigots, and other bad faith actors. We have to. We cannot let them own what is ours and use it for hate, when our own ancestors didn't give a single shit about genes, about where you were from, what you did - just who you were. And - when I say ancestors, I don't mean blood, I do mean ideological ancestors. I may have blood roots but Ásatrú is for all races, sexuality, genders. But not all politics or beliefs. No sir. Be whatever gender you want, date whoever you want, have as many partners as you want and it's completely fine for beating the shit out of someone who calls you a slur. That's what I, what we, believe in. The original post refers to Ergi, by the way - and it is not a term used lightly. It was a pretty grave insult and saying it made you fair game for getting an axe to the face, so if you did you... pretty much had to be ready to bite the dust. Dunno' about the polyamory, but I'm pretty sure our Gods aren't pearl clutchy about several partners. The Aesir and Vanir got busy wildly in the Eddas. Anyway, hope this is clarity enough. Glory to the Allfather - and that's ALL father, not SOME father.

This Week In "Time & Again" #12: It's Alive... Alive! Honest! And A Little Sour, And A Bit Sweet!

Guten Fhtagn! It's been... a while again.

(this is just a colourful teaser for you now, because it feels silly to make a post that starts with a wall of text - even though I personally love walls of text. Keep reading and you'll find out why those weird empty rectangles are here! And as I often do: there's an animated GIF in the end of the post!) Lately, life has sucked me into a giant cycle of great and lush eventfulness. Kinda as if I hopped into a funnel and then swirled around a bit. I might even say it was fun (haha, fun funnel 😁 What, not funny?.. Lame?.. Aah, well then). So, below goes a straightforward chronological report on what happened to "Time & Again" during this long looooong period of my blogging hiatus.

2 weeks ago I've actually spent only a few days working on "Time & Again" - much less than anticipated. As I always say, life usually takes away so much time from art!.. 🤣 However, it's always a choice. Because I'm not drawing 24/7; never did, and perhaps never will - because otherwise I'll never go birding, among other things. And birding is love. Birding makes Frosty happy. I wanna see more nuthatches and northern flickers around me, preferably every day, when possible. Too much to ask? Yes! But life is always about setting priorities straight and meticulously balancing the things you love and want to do. Because something always goes first, and something other goes second (third, fourth, etc.). So that is what I'm trying my best to do here.

But that was only half of the problem. The other half of the problem was about my futile endeavour to relight the creative spark that was seemingly extinguished over the course of the previous 2 weeks - perhaps due to the reasons mentioned above in this post. I'm always very hesitant to take breaks as I work on my projects, because it breaks immersion - and getting back into the mood again might pose a serious challenge. That is exactly how some of my novels/stories failed to see the light of day in the past. Now, since the work on Chapter 5 is nearing to its end - yes, it's almost done!!! - it's just very disappointing to slow down and having to look for the spilt marbles on the floor (however, Lothar, personally, will definitely benefit from at least TRYING to find his own marbles 🤦‍♀️ dear goodness, that man is indomitable). The work still went well, but without excitement I previously had. And I perpetually have serious problems trying to figure out a personal cure for the "lack of spark" issue: not even once in my entire life have I found a resolution that works wonders like a panacea for me in situations like that.

That said, with all of the distractions and not-exactly-creative events with myself in the epicentre, I managed to keep my word and created a Krita forum thread featuring majority of WIP screenshots from Chapter 5, which you can view following that link. Now, my only objective in this regard is to keep updating it 😁 (what I'm kinda failing at recently)

While not being exactly productive with "Time & Again" - that is only up until this week (read ahead) - in the meantime I have reconsidered a couple things that are related to the artistic part of my existence. One of the decisions was to take down the links to my DeviantArt account sometime after this post goes life. The reasoning behind that decision is as simple as an egg: because I don't post anything on DeviantArt anymore. And I keep forgetting to do it anyway. And I keep forgetting simply because it doesn't really matter. In the recent years I perceived DeviantArt to be nothing but a sort of a personal sketch/art dump simply for the sake of gaining more exposure [not really - read an UPD note ahead]. Let's be honest here: DeviantArt is not a good place anymore. It used to be awesome in 2008-2010 or around - for me anyway. But nowadays... Not so much. I don't think I want to delete it yet, for I still want to pop up, perhaps, once or twice a year and dump all the new artworks in there for the future archival purposes - and in case if somebody might be still interested. But for now, I view my DA account as an almost completely dormant collection of trash masterpieces of yore. So I will stop promoting it for the reason of it being obsolete like the morning dew beneath your feet in its current state. (holy effing smokies, that song was very difficult to find to provide a link to! 😱) [UPD 2024/03/12]: my aim with this was originally a bit off - which I realized only now. Aside from it being a random artworks dump, my decision to keep my DeviantArt account alive was precisely for linking back to it: meaning, I was thinking about uploading artworks on there in order to specifically use them in my posts and on the websites. So, yes, it is a relatively dormant collection, but also a convenient stash of art things to utilize elsewhere (thank you, id Software, for teaching me this word! 🤣). I'll see if that really works out in the future tho.

There's also something else that I don't to reveal just yet, and I'll keep it a secret for now 😉 I must try something before I jump to conclusions.

HOWEVER!.. This last week has changed the tides considerably, in my favour. Again, having only a very hypothetical and a rather unclear clue on why that happened - what, I must admit, mesmerizes and puzzles me to a great extent - that long-longed-for spark I thought I had lost along the way somehow magically returned back to me after I spent a few hours (and 2 days in total) of writing an arch-important "Notes & Commentary" section for the reissue of all the previous "Time & Again" chapters that is nigh (here, I teased ya. Now live with it 😎🤣). I really like "Time & Again". Even while it's still incomplete. Even if Lothar is just a stubborn a**. Even if a certain other character has quite funky fetishes. Even if Jeanny is perhaps dealing with her own little pinky demons. I really like "Time & Again", and I really enjoy its style, so revisiting the whole thing for the sake of writing additional materials for it quite possibly worked in a positive way on my spark. I love you, my spark. Let's keep it this way for as long as we can from now on. So now the work goes quite well, and I feel very good about it. There's still something troublesome that needs to be dealt with... but that'd be a painful tale for yet another post.

And, of course, I experimented with some Krita stuff again - for it seems, Chapter 5 really marks a period of great technical discoveries for me.

For example, finally, after all these years 😅🤣, I learnt and made a very good use of the toggle "All Layers" and "Current Layer" settings of Contiguous Selection Tool (that'd be your Magic Wand tool, ya Photoshoppers around - including my past self). That helped me to speed up flood fill of the certain areas. Speaking of flood fill and all, I experimented more with the "smart fill" as well. In the previous post, I was dreaming about an advanced AI algorithm to automatically recognize and colour the characters according to a user-prepared colour pallete. I might be exaggerating a bit, but flood-filling flat colours on every page felt almost stupefying - and, in short, not fun. I've read a little about the potentials to automate the process in Krita and have discovered a few neat tricks that I might use to speed up the process of colouring of the next Chapter. But right now - that's a story for another day in the future. And at last, let's talk about the backgrounds. I find it that the backgrounds that are just, let's say, "placeholders" and don't contain the surroundings of the characters are sometimes challenging. And in Chapter 5, there's gonna be plenty of those - because oh boy do I love long conversations! (strong self-awareness and self-mockery go here) And most of these conversations don't even require detailed environments for the backgrounds! Because people are just friggin' talking! And their surroundings don't matter on those particular panels. I've looked through quite a few graphic novels and comics at the local book store to get extra inspirations - but very often I see that the artists simply fill the panel with a solid colour. Completely flat. I must admit, I'm deeply hesitant to do the same, because I like at least a little texture on storywise-insignificant solid colours. It gives... depth.

So this is what I've been doing so far (and yes, you guessed it now! the picture in the very beginning of this post is very relevant here!):

While the "flat solid colour" on the background just seems... too flat, I decided to utilize a gentle gradient as a base, and then to apply additional brush strokes on a separate layer with special blending mode in order to create the effect of imperfection and ever so slightly visible texture to it. After a few sessions of trial and error, and thinking about how it feels and if it matches the mood of the chapter, I ended up using a couple of watercolour and splatter brushes together, in black, and the layer blending mode that I figured worked best for me was Soft Light (SVG). As illustrated by the following GIF:

And LAST (but as usual: not the least, but I won't cover "the least" in this current post for now, for the post is already a fatso - typical, innit?!), I've learnt how to use Filter Layers for the quick colour correction on the go. And this might be extremely useful in a long run for the future chapters of "Time & Again". I might cover this in one of my next posts.

That should be enough for now. So let's summarize: I most certainly did NOT disappear because "Time & Again" ceased to exist, or because I've been abducted by aliens, or because I got carried away giving belly rubs to pinky demons, or anything alike. I disappeared BECAUSE I was working hard on my story, even though at times it didn't go as smooth as I wanted to 😉.

soft. soft and nice. like this noise. crunch crunch crunch. it is. it'sssssss. g. ggggg. rr. eee. n. gren. eeeeen. green. ... green? green, greennnnnn. yes! it is green. and it is. issssss aaaaa fffflooooor. floor! yeah! it is a green floor! and it goes crunch! crunchy crunch! the floor is covered in. more green. lllllleeaf. leaf. leaf? ... yes! leaf! covered in leaf! all green! green leaf! floor and. and g. gggrr. grrrrrouund. ground? ground! floor ground! floor ground green leaf. feels nice. soft. leaf soft and green. and moves! moves around when put hand in it! soft! like it here. it is nice. goes kiiiii when wave hand in it. haha, leaf move! many! swish! swish! funny. it is funny here.

*something fast whizzes past it. it's so quick, it smears its face to the right. an eye pops out, and its mouth goes wiggly from being disrupted.*

WHOOoaoaaaa. fast! fast! too fast too quick! made the floor ground move! and. ... oh! face. ... oh! eye! eye. eyyyyye. face is wronnnng.

*it picks up its eye with one hand and slaps at its face with the other; it makes a smushy wet noise. its face is realigned back to how it was with a few light pats. it then shoves the eye back into the socket, where more gross wet sounds are heard. when it looks up, it see's someone standing in front of it. it tilts its head.*

OOOH. b. bbb. bluuuuue. blue! that is blue! different from floor ground. but also, rrred? blue red. different, but also same? ... HAT! HAT! HAT!

'Vanni?! what the fuck are you doing here?!' chat? oooh. no one ever chat. hatty! yellow! hat yellow! chat hat yellow!

*it leans up and puts its hands on The Nade's hat, fiddling with it in wonder.*

'yeah, sure, you can use my hat to get back to the Plex; Hoochie Mami G, why the hell are you all the way out here?'

*it takes The Nade's hat off. jumps at the fact it can take the hat off. puts the hat back on The Nade's head, then takes it off, and repeats this motion a few times, bewildered.*

COME OFF! HAT YELLOW COME OFF! FUN! 'geez you look weird, how long have you been here? you seem all. deflated. and weird. and stinky! yeesh! and you tell me I stink!' like hat. soft like floor ground. ... OOOOOH. EARS. EARS? CAT EARS!

*it holds the hat in one hand and lightly tugs The Nade's good ear with the other. The Nade makes an exasperated expression, but makes no move to stop it.*

EARS EARS EARS EARS 'Christ you're grabby today, did you hit your head or somethin'?' ear soft like floor ground and hat yellow. like to hold ear more than leaf. hmm. animal? ... cat. ... no, ear too long. cat ear round. ... no, triangle. yes! cat ear triangle shape. this ear tooooo looooong. hmm. ... squirrel. ... no, not squirrel, tail not long or bushy, and ear too long again. not. it is. ... tail is, round. no, hm. ... oh! bumpy. round bumpy. like ear. ear soft. 'ready to go back, G? I'll meet ya there! then you're gettin' a bath!'

*The Nade gently takes the hat from it, yoinks something out the hat, then puts the top-hat over its chef hat.*

hat yellow on head now. ... oh, smile! not squirrel is smile! happy! happy! like not squirrel. feel nice to be with.

*The Nade tugs the hat over it, covering it completely. it enters the void, and then lands somewhere brighter and paler than the forest. The Nade isn't with it anymore.*

whoaaaa. what happen? light? llll. light. not, sun light. weird light. wwwwwhhhittte. white. white! anddddd. yellow! more yellow! white yellow! hmm. where did not squirrel go? oooh. not in green land anymore. weird place. somewhere new. new! new! new!

'oh, heya N, you weren't gone long.' someone else chat? cannot see. oh! inside something!

*it pulls itself out of the hat and into the Pizza Plex, where it slithers on to the floor in a puddle. there is a blood curdling scream. it looks around, confused, and see's Giovanni back peddle away from the counter, looking as if he's seen a ghost.*

oh! oh! you-mun! a you-mun! seems strange! strange! feels same! never see you-mun up close before. why feel so. so same? same! same! same!

*it reforms into its solid mass and rushes for the counter in a sudden burst of speed. it slams into the counter, its features loosely slapping against it. it spits out some black sludge from the impact, and its eye fly's from the socket, sliding across the counter and falling on the other side. this only makes Giovanni scream again. it stares at him in wonder.*

FEELS LIKE ME! PART OF ME! WEIRD! WEIRD! STRANGE WEIRD! BLack. black anddddd purple skin. no, not skin, c. clooo. cloth. clothe. skin clothe. weird black and weird purple skin clothe. feel the same! want to get closer!

*it climbs over the counter, flopping to the floor in another puddle. by the time it reforms, Giovanni is glaring at it from behind the security of a steel door. it stretches its arm over to where the top-hat is, grabbing it, and putting the hat back on its head. it forgets to grab its eye. when it hobbles closer to Giovanni, he slams the door shut. it see's Giovanni through the round window that's lightly covered in frost. it pushes its face into the window, which makes Giovanni back further up into the room.*

oh! oh! you-mun hiding! we play? play! play! like play! can play! what play? ooooh. maybe. hm. weird! still want to get closer! how open door? feels weird. cooooold. happy! happy!

*it begins to vibrate in excitement just as the Pizza Plex's front door slams open and closed. The Nade rolls in on his scooter, his neckerchief pulled over his mouth. he scoots to the counter, hops over it, and stands in front of it, looking up at it, confused. he gently rocks the scooter back and forth idly.*

'hey G, what'cha doin'?'

'NADE. NADE WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT NADE. WHY IS THERE A WEIRD GOOY ME IN HERE.'

*The Nade's eyes widen. he grabs a hold of his ears and stretches his body up until he's as tall as the door window. he gently shoves his face past its to see into the freezer, where Giovanni is cowering in the far corner. The Nade's eyes grow even wider, looking back and forth between it and Giovanni. it starts to "purr" at The Nade's presence.*

'what the fuck?'

yay, not squirrel back! oh! oh! maybe want hat yellow back? maybe want play too! you-mun, it fine, we play! I like not squirrel. soft blue red. feel nice to be with. friend.

'he's fine, Gio! he's purring! he ain't gonna hurt ya! ... he's lost his eye, haha! hey, you lost your eye!'

*it bounces more, which makes its other eye almost fly free from the socket, more black drool oozing from its mouth. Giovanni can only watch in horror from the safety of within the freezer.*

'why did y-you bring it here?!'

'I thought he was you!'

'you WHAT??? it barely looks ANYthing like me!!!'

'well that's hardly fair! you got the same face and clothes and everything!'

'it STINKS!!! it's LITERALLY loosing eyes, and it's drooling!!! you need teh’ get yer eyes checked, Nade!!! why the FUCK would I be in the forest anyway?!?!'

'that's what I was wondering too!!! I was gonna make ya take a bath!!! kehehaha!!!'

'it ain't funny!!! I ain't leaving with it here!'

'you're gonna freeze to death if you stay in there, G!'

hi! so, first of all I was debating if I even should send this ask because, in the end, who cares, but the "rant away" text convinced me lol. anyway you don't have to respond to this. but i wanted to say this for quite a while actually that even though i don't agree with you on everything (I actually am a destiel shipper 🤷🏻‍♀️) , but I have to admit I admire how you take no shit from anyone and how consistent you are in your opinions and how you expose idiots in the fandom. seriosuly, I respect that. I think the fandom, while always divided, has suffered from post-november-5th influx of twitter stans (i don't even want to mention cursed tiktok). and I admit I have been lurking on your side of the fandom for a looooong time (i always like to see opinions from all sides and have full picture, and I am in the fandom since 2011) and damn, you were really correct on calling out some destiel shippers on not watching the whole show. it's insane to me because while Cas is my favourite character, and once again, I ship him and Dean, sue me, I can not imagine skipping first 3 seasons???? they were crucial to Sam and Dean??? and people really DO THAT. and sometimes i am SO ANGRY at the takes i see on my dash. so so so angry. because people miss the point. so many points. and these posts get popular and are later adapted into fanon that people who haven't seen the show even once, consider canon. jesus christ 🙆🏻‍♀️. and the worst thing is, that you have to be very careful on what you say to who because one wrong word and you're labeled a real life incest supporter, pedophile, homophobe etc. and everyone blocks you meanwhile all you said was "hey i think there was a problem with the confession scene....."

sidenote, i think that also might be why it's hard for real cas girls to find each other. everyone is scared of properly addressing and criticizing the confession scene because, okay, when i saw it live i went insane i was so happy but then i rewatched it and had some critical thoughts about it i had no one to share them with, lol.

I know that your opinion is Cas should have stayed dead after 7x02 (and i don't agree. i was happy to have him back) I do agree the writers didn't know what to do with him, which is incredibly sad. they couldn't decide if he should be a human or an angel so they made him something in the middle which sucked for him as a character and us, his fans. they could have for example just make him human and a recurring hunter (like for example garth but maybe more often?). what do you think the wirters could have done with the character (apart from keeping him dead) that would make you like the character more? if you care to answer?

also, the prequel. i am facepalming since june 25th, 2021. thus should not be happening lol. whatare you gonna bet there is gonna be some actor from riverdale on that thing? cole sprouse as young john anyone? (probably not though, i don't think he will sign any contract with the cw once the one he has expires lol) lily reinhart as mary? haha

As for your question in regards to Castiel and his return in Born Again Identity, frankly my darling, I feel that there was nothing more they could have done with Castiel to keep the character fresh.

That's why Sera felt confident in killing him to begin with. Bringing him back only kept ANGELS in the show and that was also a bad idea.

Of course now, that is all water under the bridge.

I am sorry that hellers have tarnished your dash. But I'll let you in on a little secret, many destiel shippers like yourself, (clear headed and not batshit crazy) have found themselves over on this side of tumblr.
