I’m technically multifandom, but I only post about one or two pieces of media at a time (way too much, might I add). Current fandoms (in order of obsession):

Jrwi Riptide -Apparently I am THE riptide guy, take that as you will. I’m so ill about them, but they're gay, neurodivergent, traumatized, and pirates, so you can't fault me for it.

Jrwi Wonderlust - I only have two episodes, but I already would die for all three of the pcs. It's going to get so much worse.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Looking back on it, probably one of my first hyperfixations. Less of a special interest now, but it's still there. Lurking. My favorite was always Fluttershy (totally not because I kin her)

Geminitay - I don't watch much mcyt anymore, but she likes cottagecore and lovecraftian horror, which is essentially the key to my heart.

Slight Origin Story?

Adder was originally just a college student in a rich family, despite this he wasnt rlly.. stable.. Always attacking others when being told what to do thus is often was called a spoiled brat by the other students in the campus. He did have one friend though, his was Hugo, a boy who he knew since childhood.

But then... a certain incident to happen... While one day, there was a campus party & smtn just snapped in Adder, this of course was from the pressure of his father who rlly gave no friks for him at all.. Adder to RAMPAGE & kill any known target that was "in his way" but then he was shot.. by Hugo? His friend! But why? Bcs of what Adder did what was the thing that trigger Hugo to kill him...

Adder was then reborn as a Sinner in Wrath, despite being the first level it was very much a warzone there, despite that he actually enjoyed killing ppl... As it was a way he can FINALLY take out HIS ANGER on the ones who wronged him.. Maybe is that what Mom wanted?

Years later he rose up the ranks, essentially becoming a tyrant till he went into the rank... of a God, who needed to be redeemed when you're now a God? He didn't, and he now had what HE wanted... To be in control.. No more being told what to do by some puny mortals or "peasants". His kingdom grew extensively, becoming bigger & bigger. But since it "was" still TECHNICALLY a part of Wrath, he took some of its culture & gave it his own twist..

And this is how Adder came to be! (And yeh I kinda changed his origins a bit bcs him dying in Highskool felt weird & I feel very iffy with that tbh)

Thank you so much, Anon! <3 I really wanted to do him justice lol A lot of characters that we got for that drawing challenge are great (well, simply based on their visuals, since we don’t know anything about the majority of them), but Kuya kind of took the cake with his sleazy expressions (and won over Katsu’s heart a little bit).

We aren’t into nu: carnival, and I don’t know if we’ll get into it at any point, but reading about Kuya was very entertaining.

Well we got some other characters from this game in the pool of all the recommendations people gave us, so I might draw someone else in the future! But it’ll definitely take a while because I want to draw characters from some other titles too.

I don’t think I ever drew Yuu (well I did draw Yuuta once), so I don’t have a design for them, but if I had to, I would probably take either of these two approaches:

to draw the most generic guy ever, to play on the contrast between Yuu and the other NRC students, especially the main characters.

to find a way to hide Yuu’s face as much as possible; I really love it when artists get inventive with this, like to have Grim covering it for no reason whatsoever, you know, to keep the intrigue.

Oh this scenario has a lot of potential, Anon! It could be very fun because, first and foremost, it’s very messed up. If the focus of the scenario is the manipulation, and the child is basically being used to manipulate the partner (without the top actually caring about them as a parent would, or at least not caring as genuinely and properly as they should), it could be a very interesting one, we would probably enjoy it.

With Trey it’s extra interesting because of how complicated his emotions for Riddle are: he wants to protect him, but he also could be capable of indirectly harming him because he feels like it would be better for Riddle this way. I don’t know if knocking him up is something that Trey would think about, but if this is a reoccurring dream and an invasive thought, it could work.

A fanon characterisation that you love

Oh, this took some thought. I went scrolling through my AO3 bookmarks for this one. But at the end of the day I have to go with my good friend @nientedenada's interpretations of Elenwen and Ondolemar in her Q&A style fic: "The Dominion is Here and They're Answering Your Questions" - her take deeply influenced the way I wrote both of these characters in "Hollow Men" as well as just helped to shape the Thalmor into people in my mind, as opposed to stick man villains.

11. Recommend a fic with an unusual/original headcanon or characterisation that you loved

Accidental Double Thalmor Post, but I'm going to have to recommend "Evil is Made of Us" by LeviathansEyes on AO3 for their masterful interpretation of the Thalmor. It's a purely OC-driven fic that's technically a sequel to a much longer fic, but I think it can be enjoyed on it's own easily enough. I had already finished up my own Thalmor-centric fic (Hollow Men) by the time I was reading their work, but I was still SHOOKETH by the end of that story. It was an unflinching look at how "evil" manifests itself, but also how, at the end of the day, people are just people. "Evil" is a concept within the framework of an institution.

17. Something you love that you don’t often share because you’re worried what others will think

Hmm... well, for the most part I'm pretty shameless with most of the stuff I share. I put myself out there in good faith, and generally expect that my work will be taked in good faith in return.

I think, maybe, if I want to be vulnerable for a minute, I'll admit that I tend to meme on Neloth publicly a lot to cover up just how deeply I've been impacted by writing his character. More below the cut, because this turned into a bit of a ramble...

I write Neloth as a low-empathy individual who arguably has a personality disorder (I won't throw around specific labels, as I don't think there is a specific one that I had in mind when going into his stories). My love for Neloth runs incredibly deep because I've been working with this fatally flawed, deeply damaged character who has built his own defences up so impossibly high over hundreds of years that even he is unsure of where his own walls end and the core of himself begins.

And then, to pair him with Teldryn, (which I think most people who only see the ship art or the memes think I just picked two characters and smashed them together for fun or because Hee Hoo Gay, which... isn't a lie, but it isn't the whole truth either). I write Teldryn as an endlessly compassionate person beneath the armor he's been forced to wear (literally and figuratively) over the years. The Nerevarine Prophecy left him questioning his own place in the world with a terrible case of impostor syndrome, and then the Red Year absolutely ripped out his heart (no pun intended??) and left him feeling that everything he did amounted to nothing. So he's cynical and jaded, he's hiring himself out as a merc, he has every reason to hate the gods and the life that's been thrust upon him. And then, for whatever reason, when I put him and Neloth in a room together for long enough, they somehow managed to crack through each others' shells. And it wasn't pretty at first, and, hell, it wasn't even romantic. But it happened. And sometimes, writing can be magic like that.

So here's Teldryn, a literal hero, giving this (by all accounts) terrible person a chance to show that he's capable of both receiving and giving love, actually. And that love can look a little different in everyone. And augH GOD, I HAVE A FUCKING CHARACTER TYPE, OK???

Anyways, tl;dr -- Neloth is actually more than just my special little meow meow babygirl blorbo, he is my shadow self, my darkest reflection, the opposite of everything I strive to be and everything I fear becoming. And I think, by writing him as still being worthy of love and companionship and joy, I'm writing to let myself know that I am also worthy of such things.

Hello it's time to share...

The Basics of Vitani!

Name: Vitani, just Vitani and V for short. They tend not to think of their last name.

Age: Currently in the game 25, she looks and tends to act childishly, so people think she's closer to 19-23

Date of birth: October 31st, 2052. Her mom was adamant about that and fate granted that wish. Though V isn't a huge fan of her birthday (Halloween in general is a different story, though she still doesn't do much)

Gender: ??? It's unclear. Vitani is just themself in their eyes. But they use she/they pronouns and dresses very femme, so gets mistaken as a woman by many a gonk. Don't call her one though, or a girl (unless you're a certain someone using select pet names, or like, in a really gay way, if that makes sense)

Looks: Well she's the profile pic, so that but kinda chubby, and 5'2. Though at the beginning of the game she had a blue fade into pink, but changed it after a bit of a break down. Really the following pic (obvi not my art btw, grabbed it off Pinterest), is about what her body type is.

Family: V doesn't do family, doesn't like them, in fact, hates families! If she had to choose though, her mom is Mama Welles, and Jackie was her brother. Oh, and obviously Nibbles is her daughter and her lizard son Stewart. (In actuality she had a mom, step-dad, and two brothers, but they sort of just left her.)

Friends: Laughable to ask really. Most of V's friends have died, and it's absolutely V's fault. She shouldn't have friends... (Also in actuality, she gets along with a surprising number of people, but feels very few connections to others. Her closest friends are obviously Johnny, Misty, and Viktor. In that order. At least as far as the alive ones go. If she's counting dead ones it's Jill-an oc made for V's story, Jackie, and Johnny, all of them are equal).

Romance: Not much of one, briefly had a boyfriend, but he was like a blip on the radar in V's life. It was also an online thing started on some forum. They never met up due to home life stuff. As for in game romances? Also none, everyone is great, but really just as a friend... Except for a certain someone stuck in their brain, though it's unrealized until the ✨best day ever and beach scene✨. Because obviously they have a "best day ever and beach scene" thing.

Fears: Everything to a certain degree, but that's the insurmountable anxiety she has. Most of their fears are rational, such as sexual assault (never happened to them, but makes sense from backstory things), people leaving (nullified if V leaves first), and idk their current capitalistic nightmare hellscape.

Hobbies: V likes trying just about anything and everything. A maker at heart. But she loves music, cooking, playing video games, collecting low-tech gadgets, history, and politics. Is politics even a hobby? V doesn't know and doesn't care. It is now.

What's important right now?: Saving both Johnny and herself, specifically by getting him a body (yay! Johnny gets a body AU!). It's a thing they've been dead set on once she thought about it. Mostly because to choose herself over him? Impossible, especially towards the end of their time together... As for the game canon, it's technically the same goal, but unsuccessful.

Fighting style: Talk first, then sneak, then carnage. That's the general rule of thumb with how Vitani deals with things. Not always in that order, and not all at once. Relies on subterfuge and knocking people out, but will become borderline frenzied if spotted or if things go wrong. Typically uses a katana (specifically Evelyn's), but switches to the Malorian once she gets it (it's her safety gun).

And if I'm being honest I don't know what else would be basic questions you ask about a character, so we're done!

what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Technically Beast of Venery probably wins this (SGA fic where Sheppard has, to put it lightly, a very bad day)

what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Can I go with Harbored (the actual ending of the series that began with Beast of Venery)? In general, I love happy endings, so I write a lot of them. But maybe Harbored feels like a brighter dawn because of the previous darkness.

do you get hate on fics? No, not really. Thankfully! I get weird comment sometimes, like “why is everyone gay?” (which comment ignored the mostly-straight-reading bisexual relationship in that story), and “it’s so lame that you didn’t finish this story” (the story is clearly tagged and noted as abandoned, and I explained that the series it was part of only existed at all because of the comments and interest I’d gotten on the first installment, so when the comments dried up so did the series)

do you write smut? Yes, with varying levels of skill and interest

craziest crossover: Um, of the things that are posted… Conversations Beyond the Edge of the Galaxy, where Shigure Souma, Angel (the vampire), and Rogue (from X-Men) meet at a bar and talk.

have you ever co-written a fic before? No, though technically Eos and I are credited as coauthors on Aubade (SGA), because she did the art and I did the writing. (Her cover art is really just fantastically beautiful!)

all time favourite ship? Dude* I vibe with/other dude I vibe with/possibly a third dude I vibe with + story that writes them just right + I was exactly in the mood for this situation today = best ship (*dude is gender neutral)

what's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? So many…. But there's this one AU I have that I want to finish, it's a multiverse John/Todd/Rodney. Chunks of it are mostly written, but there are these OCs that I was planning to kill off and as I developed the one character I made her black and a lesbian so now I'm like "well crap I can't bury my gays, I want her to be happy with her girlfriend, even though her girlfriend also dying was a huge plot point!" So it's back to the drawing board while I decide if I can get away with inserting a time loop where I kill another character but he's not actually dead (because it's the time-traveled version of him that dies, right? But I can't decide how to make this not a paradox).

what are your writing strengths? I’m good at editing. I love writing absolute shit and then tearing it apart and fixing it. And I think I’m good at blocking? Scenes that don't describe the setting very well confuse me, so I work to make that clear when I'm writing.

what are your writing weaknesses? Describing characters. Since it's a fic I tend to assume that everyone know what everyone looks like, which doesn't fly as well with OCs... 😅

thoughts on dialogue in another language? If it’s dialogue that the reader is supposed to understand it should be written in the same language as the fic. (Or notated in a way that the reader can access a translation. There are cool skins for this on AO3.) If it’s in another language, I had better not need to know what it says, because I do not have time to look it up.

who are your furry ocs

i got, like, a few of them, once again i yet to draw most of them (and the art that did exist got lost in the void) BUT i can still talk about them!!! the main guy is Vin, his legal name is actually Vinegar but he goes either by Vin or Vincent, the reason why his name is Vinegar is because he went on a bender and changed it while drunk, fun things. his birth name is not decided yet but i was thinking about something hella stupid or really generic like Fluffy or Tony. Vin is a guy raised solely by his alcoholic mother and his neighbour, he's kinda piss poor and mostly gets by on misc. day jobs and mooching off his boyfriend (bf doesn't mind but he still feels guilty about it)

his bf is Rafiq, he's a sphinx cat that had to have his eyes removed at birth, he's also an heir to some kind of a big company (still no idea for that) that he technically should inherit but his parents are worried about him being blind. he's pretty small and still sickly, Vin found him while Rafiq got lost in a bad part of town (since that's where he used to live) and they kinda hit it off, originally Vin was supposed to get Rafiq familiar with the town (Rafiq was still new to the area) for a little cash but they hit it off and are happily living together :>

there's also Hephaestus and Hera, they're siblings. Their father wanted so bad to have one of his kids be a racing dog which fell onto Hephaestus, which he really didn't want to do, he agreed on the condition that their father will leave Hera alone tho (their father didn't like her for being weak and slow and ect.). after Hera came out as trans tho she got disowned and Hephaestus left racing and cut contact with his family (including Hera), had some problems with substance abuse due to stuff his father used to give him as a younger lad.

they met Vin through the fact that Vin went to both a LGBT support group (which Hera also went to) and AA meetings (where he met Hephaestus), Hera was still pre-E and Vin thought she might feel bad about coming out to their AA group so he one day just kinda talked to Hephaestus like, hey, we're both queer and recovering, maybe we could help each other? Hephaestus has no fucking idea what he's talking about and the truth comes out, siblings reunite and Hephaestus joins Hera's pattiserie business

the next funky lil guy is Pebbles who's my darling little boy, he's italian for no fucking reason. he's also the son of the neighbour that raised Vin and after Vin left, he took care of both of their mothers. After his mother dies tho, he leaves for a bigger city to find some work to do (he is deeply in debt and is running away esencially), where he reunites with Vin on an accident. Vin takes him in to live with himself and Rafiq until he finds his own place but Pebbles is kinda hurt that Vin has like a whole apartment and a bf and never really tried to really contact him while he was struggling and ends up spouting homophobic/transphobic nonsense at a diner with Hephaestus, Hera and Rafiq there. He then runs away and blames the gays for taking his brother. He learns to be better tho, really, he's just kinda hurt and doesn't know who to blame (spoilers, there's noone to blame)

there are also two unnamed character i have in mind

first is a mouse who's a disability aid for Rafiq, they're also pretty good friends. the guy mostly does stuff like reading papers out loud or helping Rafiq with directions, his subplot is that he loves his big rat wife <33

there's also a trans teen that's a weasel and got thrown out of his house by his parents. Pebbles helps him without knowing the kid is trans and when he learns it he kinda realizes he must have been making the kid uncomfortable by being openly transphobic while he tried to help him and he realizes that's not the kinda person he wants to be. he gives the kid over to Hephaestus and Hera who know more about trans help ect.

One of the other prompts made me realize that while there are a lot of fics where Jason discovers Bruce has been abusing Dick, there are none the other way around and suddenly I have a craving. So I would like for Dick to find out (maybe right after Jason returns, Dick catches them and overhears Bruce say something to indicate it used to happen regularly) that Bruce had been sexually abusing Jason since the moment he found him and try to save him. And like, because of his background as a child prostitute, Jason kind of thinks it's normal or that it's the only way he could earn love? Maybe Bruce implies that Jason is useless otherwise and he'd end up back on the streets if he's not useful. Favorite character: All variations of Edd. He’s very versatile, because people write him as bubbly and quirky, as edgy and teasing, as childish and kind to his friends and his friends alone, etc etc. And you can do that reasonably because Edd has kinda weird characterization in the series, so you can basically do whatever you want, and pretty quickly make a character so far removed from canon that you just. Make him your oc. (which is what i did lol)

Least Favorite character: Mark, just because he doesn’t have that many lines, and it’s sort of the same situation that Edd has, but unlike Edd where his characterization shifts depending on the episode, Mark just doesn’t have any characterization at all. So it’s all the freedom of making it up as you go, but no, like...checkpoints? Nothing to tether you to anything? It’s like going on random name generator and trying to make a character from just that.You can only really assume his character based off his friends, but...it’s just not really as much fun. (I say this as if I don’t have long intricate hcs for fucking Marco for fucks sake).

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Uh, I don’t really dislike any of them. I guess maybe milkman x hellucard, since both of them aren’t really noticed by Edd like they wish they were, so they both get with each other to “make Edd jealous”. then they grow frustrated that it’s not making Edd jealous, so they try to do that thing where they fall for each other instead, but then they realize they actually don’t like each other all that much and break up and go back to what they were doing before.

Character I find most attractive: I guess Eduardo, since I’m lowkey jealous of him for having facial hair. 

Character I would marry: Jon. I feel like he’d be nice enough. But really I don’t have anyone. 

Character I would be best friends with: I feel like if I had met Eduardo and the crew in high school we would’ve been friends, you know? Like I’m the new kid in town and they think I’m kinda annoying but we have something in common so we might as well keep hanging out. Then something happens and I have to open up about {redacted} and then Eduardo talks about being {redacted} and yeah we grow closer, in a way that isn’t, like, stronger than Jon and Mark, but pretty good. I think I’d find Mark to be annoying and pretentious, and Jon to be too much of a yes man. I’d bully him into dressing scene for a few days I think.

 I feel like something similar would happen with Edd and his crew, but I feel like I’d be too happy for them? I naturally smile a lot, so I feel like they’d kinda hate me. But Edd and I would probably like each others art.

 But anyways yeah if I met them now as a teen while they’re adults none of use would get along. 

A random thought: I’m worried about this all getting deleted before I have the chance to fucking post it. oh yeah also is mark being gay technically canon? like yeah he was near a gay pride flag in a comic strip but like...he wasn’t shown actually holding it? the flag was just in a place where it’d make sense for him to be holding it if he was? idk. i like the hc that hes gay i just don’t think it’s canon.

if you go on my art blog pictures of him are tagged #ap voider!!! he is a purple halibot/a violibot and he's at like??? a low ranking captain kind of position. during the plot of another planet, which is what I Call this set of ocs, he's sent as part of a mission to kidnap important management figures for a company based on saturn, who have significant investments in major trade in the solar system, which is the location of the next lep'ridae invasion (halibots being robots that work for the lepridaes). he's responsible for leading the charge on andru, who is some kind of up and coming middle management and speculated to be important to the future of the company, however once on the journey back to base, there is a mild emergency and voider, not being used to being on a ship of this size/style, decides the best option is to use an escape pod/small ship to get him and andru out of there, and to head to mercury, which is an old lep'ridae base, so that he can send a message to his higher ups to come pick him up. along the way they meet judi, an engineer from neptune, and roban, a space pirate from mars. shenanigans ensue until they get to mercury and then the plot hits you in the face with feels

also these two end up boyfriends did I mention that????

anyway. voider is SPOILERS actually technically more of a cyborg??? sad stuff happens on mercury man im :'(

halibots come in eight colours depending on ranking (green/cyan/blue/purple/pink/red/orange/yellow from lowest to highest ranking) and there is also One white halibot called Lancer who works Directly for the leader of the lep'ridaes. the last two significant halibots in the series are chessi, a pink halibot/rosibot who is like voider's old co-worker, and one I can't really talk about much because SPOILERS

I took a break from artfight today to work on some OC art and I *finally* redesigned Valor’s hair for both young and old versions of her!

I gave young Valor an early gray streak because she’s Stressed About Everything Constantly being the only one working to end a conspiracy to murder the queen will do that to you. slapping the rest of this under a readmore because it got loong but there’s some good good art down there friends.

These were the hairstyles I ended up going with, along with the traditional veil...hairnet....thing of the Court.

I don’t usually add decorative feathers or wings to Guardian fashion or decor because it always seemed weird to me that winged people across fiction slap wings onto everything. You don’t see humans putting hands on things willy-nilly. But I decided that the feathers worked for this as more of a badge of honor for things that Valor has done (namely uncovering that conspiracy to kill the Queen, even if she was too late) or as a mark of rank (which is pretty high. Technically there’s another dude who *runs* the branch of the Court that Valor belongs to (vipers) but like. he’s whipped so.)

I was a little hesitant to do the feathers because of cultural appropriation stuff so if there’s anyone out there who has anything to say abt it feel more than free to speak up.

and last but not least, I went ahead and did some art with Valor’s newly redesigned hair (and I gave Clarity a new ‘do while I was at it, but I’m not sure that’ll be her new go to. I feel like she’s the sort of person who does different stuff with her hair all the time but I think she’ll generally leave it loose.) I forgot to add Valor’s stress streak and braid (which I think is just a piece of hair that always comes loose and Clarity just braids it because braiding)

Since this is a redraw: see my improvement from November! its not quite a year I think but still, lots of improvements! I’m trying to get better about not have overly saturated colors because that’s been an issue I’ve newly realized.

and since we’re all here I want to talk about Clarity and Valor because they give me. So many Emotions (TM)

Lowkey they’re girlfriends or at the very least Valor has a *massive* crush on Clarity but she’s an anxious lesbian and Clarity is an oblivious pan/bisexual who is just living her life so I’m not sure they know they’re dating?

I don’t talk about it much because this was all stuff I decided *after* I came up with their personalities and Clarity was already set to die (which makes me so very sad :’(  and I don’t want to do the “bury your gays” thing so.

there’s a lot of ocs to talk about, because i wanted to make the magical school everyone goes to seem realistic in the way that there are tons of classmates… so um, here are my three hundred ocs, plus some extras. this got way longer than i expected lol

Pallet: her name is technically Penelope, but no one calls her that. she’s an artist, which means she can bring her art to life for a short period of time. she uses this skill to get revenge on the other art students who steal her brushes. she has a crush on the cute girl who works in the school gardens, but they’ve never actually done anything more than make eye contact. Pallet is also mute and uses ASL, although she also likes to mess with people by playing “living pictionary.”

Tinilia: Ara’s absolute best friend/vague crush. separate from Ara, she has braincells, but when you put the two together it’s just “wow i’m gay and want to commit arson with you.” Tinilia has a lot of nicknames… Tils, Tilly, Tinsel, etc. she’s pretty popular, probably because she’s such a generally funny person. however… she has a lot of secrets. the first one being, what exactly is her magic?? and why is she so friendly with that crow? she’s also… not having a fun time with all of these time resets.

Ella: the “mean girl” with a famous dad and a modelling career already set in action. her magic is makeup art and swimming- giving her water and shapeshifting-like powers. she hates Ara for seemingly no reason, but later they end up being amazing friends. their relationship development is my favorite thing. watching them go from disastrous rivals who hate each others guts to roommates who are disgustingly domestic and act like a couple is… fun. it sucks that it takes a tragedy to get them to bond, though.

Caden: one of the schools triplets (one of them is adopted but no one is allowed to mention it), Caden is possibly the most horrifying magic user. he’s a Nursing Gifted who spends a large amount of school time interning with the school nurse. he can speed up the rate someone’s wounds heal at the cost of his own energy. he can also slow your heartbeat, stop it, inflict wounds, transfer wounds from one person to another, or anything along these lines. luckily, he’s a pacifist. he’s also one of the three “parents” of their grade, a major Mom friend.

Maryline: she’s the one who gives Caden nightmares. we’re not… entirely sure what her Gift is, actually, we just know she can do things like float and pull really fun pranks. she’s… a cat-loving mischief-maker who skips class all of the time. ngl she’s a bit of a mystery, but she’s incredibly important for some of her secrets. such as- her relation to Ara, her source of magic, why she seems so nervous when everyone mentions the antagonist (although not for the reason you’d think), and what exactly a Keeper is. she also is one of the few who are aware of the time resets that Ara keeps doing, and she’s not thrilled- but she’ll never tell Ara that.

Rain: a musician! her violin, trumpet, piano, and vocal skills are formidable, and if she wants to she can use them like a siren would. she’s the second parent, the Dad friend, who’s incredibly exhausted but still manages to reign everyone else in. her best friend, Orange (no that’s not her actual name, she’s just a redhead who has a citrus allergy), has a very interesting character arc- she starts out very quiet and reclusive and ends up a major flirt who wrecks havoc everywhere. Orange is a painter, a photographer, and a theatre kid- she has magic with all three, which means she’s always falling asleep in class.

Bri: Asrian’s half-sister! she’s the school Mood Ring- her eyes change color depending on the emotions of the people around her. her magic is psychology, she’s a Counselling Gifted, which allows her to sense people’s emotions and understand why. she also, uh, bottles her own up. 

andddd some extra ocs, who aren’t students at their magic school:

Reve and Persephone: the last queens of the largest kingdom in Ancient Aromae. they were involved in a lot. long story short, Reve was a princess who went undercover during a war and ended up hiding in a captured kingdom with Persephone, an engineer/pilot who pretended to know her to protect her from authorities. after a very long adventure to win the war, the two got married, and…. well, i can’t reveal much, but they were involved in the end of Aromae. there was a reason that Aromae and Earth collided, forming Aromayan Earth and wiping everyone’s memories, making it seem like nothing had ever happened and that Earth still existed. 

Elena: majorcharactermajorcharactermajorcharacter- Elena is the High Goddess of Ancient Aromae. there were plenty of smaller gods and religions worshipping them, but Elena was in charge of overseeing everything. she’s also the woman who created my worlds version of soulmates- reincarnation had already existed, and she invented a way for relationships to grow strong enough that, while still breakable, they could transcend lifetimes. in the process, she took three souls and permanently made them soulmates, with no way for the bond to be broken. there’s a big reason for this! 

Raine: one of Rain’s past lives! they share a name, lmao. Raine is the Ancient Aromayan version of King Arthur- she was a queen who ruled over a great kingdom during a time where magic-users were prosecuted. she also incidentally fell in love with a witch, but that’s besides the point. the common time system in Ancient Aromae was centered around her- BC was “before coronation” and AD was “after Dolivaesal” (referring to her kingdom’s fall). the years of her reign (and the few years her daughter reigned) are called the Negative Years! imagine being so powerful they name time after you.

I mean, Mr. Reyes is pretty openly anti-children during the play, and Mr. Heere really loves his son and his son’s friend. I just can’t imagine they’d have much chemistry if they tried dating

I’m so torn on this one. I really dislike most Jake/Rich in large, large part to just... the fandom around it... but I can also picture it being really fucking good in NSFW art, portrayed in particular ways (especially if it doesn’t act as a companion to boyfs), or like, if you did it? IT COULD GENUINELY WORK, but I haven’t seen it done in a way I particularly enjoyed.

Evil!Jake on good!Rich is fun, though I’m not suuuuuper into it--it’s a VERY nice change of pace with us, I like it in AUs, but I prefer Jake to just not be involved or else a small blip/one-off mention... or as the metaphorical sugar daddy to shenanigans gfnbhjvgfdfvdjnjvhfk

I just feel that like... their chemistry, both how we portray it plus the canon stuff (“implied sluttiness” and the way Brooke thinks she’s so cool and tries to model herself off her) is. Mmm. Mmmmmm. 

Plus, not to be all My Autism Makes Me Hyperfocus On Other Character’s Autism, but like... their autistic peculiarities would line up fantastically? Imagine them cuddling and like... touching each other to stim...

squip/rich's squip

So the thing about Rich’s Squip in the fandom is that like... outside the occasional character design making a brief appearance in larger prints, nobody really talks about them?

I mean. Okay, granted, I haven’t read enough fanfic yet (... God I really want to eventually, I’d just like a Handy Guide for Who Is And Isn’t An Anti and also I keep going “okay but x character would never be like that” even though that’s wroooong and I don’t seem to have that issue in visual media and....... you get the picture), but after... 2017? After the fandom’s first explosion died down, people rarely talked about R!S. 

I think this was a direct reaction of the Anti movement finally making the solid change to fandom landscape it’d wanted to, unfortunately; this found a swift and sudden tidal wave of backlash to most Squip (primarily shipping) related anything, seemingly killing ALL Squip content that was not sufficiently “briefly used for boyfs or JakeRich angst” enough for a good long while.

Eventually, the growing rise of a sub-fandom around Squip thirsting and Squip redemptions (attempting to be ~untainted by gross shippers~, usually) started around the time badlydrawnBMC started to really pick up steam along with a few selfshippers, inspiring people to Squip-ship in an “acceptable manner”.

The problem is, none of this has affected Rich’s Squip--at least, not yet. The kinda people scared of (or that are) antis have “no good reason” to redeem Rich’s, since “she” (he/they at the beginning of BMC fanon, widely-used she now) did or caused stuff way more egregious, IE the fire, making Rich a bully, and stifling his bisexuality. As a result, there’s a very subtle, unspoken pressure not to really... use her much. 

Jokes are... mostly okay, but there’s a huge preference for Kermit!Rich!Squip if you do.

Anyway.

From the little bit we hear of her in actual canon, Rich’s own words and her brief voice and stuff... I could see her being much colder, possibly meaner then Jeremy’s Squip, probably. They probably have a dom!bottom/sub!top abusive slave relationship. She makes Rich fuck her while mocking everything he does, and then seduces him and promises a little bit of love when he tries to refuse. He would be hopelessly devoted to her, desperate for her approval, and she’d string him step by step. By the time he realizes how well and truly fucked he is, it’s too late; the last stand happens, they fight in front of everyone, and it all goes up in smoke.
