A YEAR

it’s been a year since you up and left without a word. but your fiancé hasn’t forgotten his end of the promise.
contains: f!reader x chris. exes to lovers. banter. alcohol. some flirting w ode (xdh). resolved tension. angst. light smut. 18+
for the past twenty minutes you’d been honed in your phone, barely blinking as you triple-checked call times, rehearsal slots, timesheets. desperate for anything to busy your mind with, you’d even checked your damn junk mail folder.
you had to clear your head— overwhelm the incoming thoughts with work. but, in preparation of tonight, you’d already gotten on top of all your tasks.
you were almost shivering with anxiety. you could damn near recite the event timetable of the night at this point, and you still hadn’t come up with a believable enough excuse for leaving so abruptly.
the venue outside was buzzing with energy. the hall was massive, illuminated by overhead fairy lights and filled with the low hum of chatter. banners lined the walls— an event commemorating Studio J, the sub-label of JYP Entertainment that you’d found yourself employed under (more like requested, but let’s not dwell on old news).
idols mingled with producers and executives. team members were woven between camera crews and reporters. distantly, an announcer’s voice echoes through a microphone.
you’d been enjoying yourself: glass of rosé in hand, laughing with a smile as you spoke with the boys of xdinary heroes, the group you had been appointed to manage.
that was until you heard a voice point out that the 3racha members had arrived. your breath caught in your throat.
you’d been drowning yourself in work up until the event to smother your anxiety about seeing him again. you promised yourself you’d stay cool, act unbothered, be unbothered. but when faced with the prospect of actually running into him, that thought had hightailed— and before you knew it you were excusing yourself from the circle.
you beelined out of the main venue, headed for the bathroom when you passed by a small, empty office. you’d found yourself settled down on a lounge-chair in there since, bouncing your leg as you endlessly scrolled through your phone.
it was nearing a year from the last time you saw chris. not in person. not since you left.
someone who trained by your side for years, who had your back as you had his. shared dreams in practice rooms and secrets over midnight. beautiful laughter and ugly tears. your best friend, your anchor, and eventually your fiancé.
for all of one month, that is, before you walked away.
a person you once considered to be your other half was now little more than a stranger. it’s kinda funny. it’s kinda fucking sad.
a ping from your phone snaps you back into reality. your head locks into focus, professional— but you sigh when you realise it’s just a notification from the xdh group chat. ode’s had an outfit malfunction, and he’s asking where you are.
hardly an emergency, more so just an excuse to lure you back to his company— but you’ll take the hint. you’re meant to be out there, supporting the boys at their side.
you crack your knuckles, roll your shoulders, and you step into the hallway— holding your breath as you enter back into the organised chaos of the showcase floor.
your eyes dart across the space, frantically taking note of where your boys had ended up (praying you didn’t lock eyes with a specific someone).
gunil and jungsu were leaning at the bar, chatting with someone from the studio team. jooyeon had his hands in a bag of chips, talking the ear off of a journalist with gaon standing beside him, nonverbal. junhan was seated on his own, one airpod in as he sipped from a wine flute, nodding in acknowledgement when he saw you.
you’re always quick to spot your boys amongst a crowd. you’ve adjusted to the chaos of managing a rock band; thrived in it, even. you were constantly running around after them— from schedules to setlists, from interviews to injuries. and you were damn good at it.
they loved you. the studio had faith in you to be in charge of managing the group. and it certainly didn’t hurt that you were a gorgeous, single woman around their age.
after you help ode out, you could probably ask to go somewhere quieter with him. you’re in need of another drink yesterday.
before your eyes can scan the venue again to find him, there’s a voice at your shoulder: smooth with a teasing edge.
“took you long enough,”
you jump slightly at the breath fanning your skin, whirling around to face ode. his lip curls into a playful grin.
“where’d you run off to? i was starting to worry.”
you cross your arms over your chest, your eyes darting over his body to check for the supposed ‘malfunction’. you raise a brow at him.
he opens his hand to a prada chain sitting in his palm. you click your tongue.
“you asked for me by name because your necklace came off.”
he chuckles. you can’t help yourself to smile, either. “guilty.”
he steps just a bit closer, holding his hand out to you. you roll your eyes, just to play into it— but you take the chain anyways, fingers sliding over his open palm.
your jaw tightens, equal parts amusement and caution, as your hands raise the chain to his shirt collar. he’s warm to the touch. you loop it around the back of his neck, softly chewing your lip as you clipped it on. you meet his stare, instantly noting how his mouth parted in a sigh.
“i’m your manager, not a babysitter.”
“difference is?”
your hands lingered at his chest, fingertips buzzing. you’ve always had a fondness for ode. he’d been such a good distraction from..
“i don’t think we’ve been introduced, miss.”
a voice cuts in— startling, yet uncomfortably familiar.
you should’ve known not to look.
“mind if i take her from here?”
one glance at chris was enough before you downturned your gaze, retracting your hands from ode at an alarming haste. you caught how his mouth was curved in that polite, all-knowing smile— all the things he could reveal about you on the tip of his tongue. it had your blood buzzing with adrenaline, but you bit the inside of your cheek to not cuss him out in front of everyone.
ode, albeit confused, passed you off to chris with the promise that he’d find you again later. you nod at him with a tight smile as he walks off— completely oblivious to your impending doom.
asking for a transfer to Studio J had bought you a year without having to face him, to explain yourself — but it seems after all this time he’s still taking the chance to corner you. enjoying it, even.
“come here often?”
you pick at your nails, craning your neck to stare anywhere in the room but him, searching for a server to beckon over.
“you should know that ignoring me doesn’t work.” you can hear the smirk in his voice.
you give him what he wants, turning your head to actually look at him. the words almost catch in your throat when your eyes land on his face. fuck.
“what do you want?” you sound unsure of yourself— not as firm as you intended. you cough, self-conscious. he just chuckles.
“missed you too,”
“fuck off, chris.”
“hey,” he pouts, playfully— annoyingly, then flashing his teeth in a smile. “play nice.”
his gaze drifts off, something behind you grabbing his attention. distantly, you feel an odd ache at his stare leaving you; you can’t help but wonder what caught his eye over you. you quickly swat those thoughts away like pests.
chris nods towards someone, raising a hand in a small wave. you turn, and spot the woman waving back. there’s a feeling you don’t want to name simmering under the surface just before you recognise her as a journalist from Dispatch. you remember having a conversation with her at some other event like this.
you’re so preoccupied with racing thoughts that you nearly forget to acknowledge her with a smile before you turn back to chris.
“what do you think she’ll write?” he quips, smirking with his tongue in cheek. he’s eyeing you curiously— almost uncertain.
you tilt your head, gaining the confidence to hold his gaze, daring him to look away first.
“hm,” you make a show of shifting your weight, placing your hand on your waist. his eyes follow your every move. “stray kids’ bangchan approaches woman who’s clearly uninterested.”
he nods along, humming. “how about mr. and mrs. bahng reunite?”
you scoff. “i wouldn’t take your last name.” you say, before you think— then chris’s smile cracks into a smirk.
“oh, i thought it was over?”
you have to clench your jaw till your teeth are about to shatter. chris watches you, a laugh almost escaping him. he’s living for this shit.
you cross your arms. “i’ll call for someone.”
he simply shrugs. “i can fight.”
your neck cranes forward, eyeing him like you’re silently asking if he’s fucking serious. when he doesn’t let up, you roll your eyes.
“okay. fine. but i’m getting a drink.”
you walk off, starting towards the bar— and for a moment you feel almost worried he’ll just stay there. but he follows shortly after.
“i should probably stay by you,” he says, dipping his head close to your shoulder. “make sure no men approach you when you’re clearly uninterested.”
you keep your gaze forward, tossing up a response before you settle on not answering. you won’t give him the satisfaction of getting any further under your skin.
you announce your presence to the bartender by slapping the counter. some heads turn, but you don’t care.
“tequila shot, please.” your voice goes breathy at the end, almost like you’re pleading.
“two.” chris hums from beside you. he flashes a smile when you narrow your eyes at him. “so, how’ve you been?”
you stifle a scoff. it’s almost infuriatingly casual. he’s acting like you didn’t ghost him after he got on his knees with a ring. you suppose you don’t have a right to complain— you would’ve put him through hell.
you sigh. “well, i work my ass off all day, running around after my boys.”
he hums in response. “xdinary heroes?”
you nod, and try to brush the comment off. of course he’d been keeping tabs on you. “—but i can’t complain. i’m in love with the job.”
“that’s really good to hear! you should feel proud.” he’s smiling at you, full of such warmth and kindness and something you’d rather not name. maybe it was just the remnants of what once was.
your attention turns to the bartender sliding the shots on the counter. you’re quick to grab yours, about to chuck it back when chris halts you with a soft hand on your forearm. you do a double take at it.
he raises his shot glass to you. “cheers?”
you hold your own up, not tapping his just yet. “what are we drinking to?”
he’s still smiling, but his lips press together firmly, and you catch an almost imperceptible flex of his jaw. “us.”
there’s a beat of silence— during which you run through all the different possibilities of responses. you consider tossing the shot in his face, or just flatly saying “no” and drinking it anyways. but you do neither.
you don’t know what you’re meant to say, so you say nothing; the only sound is the small clink of your glass on his before you chuck the shot back down your throat.
you’re a bit more eager with yours— the liquor flares in your chest, and you’re coughing till your eyes water. chris is there in an instant, a careful hand on your back, face dipping close to yours as he asks if you’re okay. you nod, hurriedly, unable to say with words for him to back the fuck up.
but he’s still there, brows pinched with worry, palm rubbing reassuring circles onto your back. his heavy breath fans your face— you can’t tell if it’s just because he’s concerned. you hope it’s not what you think.
you don’t know if it’s just the aftershocks of the tequila that compels you to say: “why are you here?”
chris’s body stills. he smiles, gives an uncertain laugh. “well, 3racha’s under Studio J—”
“—no, with me. why do you still want to be around me?”
his hand falters from your back. he shifts his weight, gaze falling from your face in thought before he looks back up again. you almost can’t hold it.
“why wouldn’t i want to?”
you face away from him, turning to watch the dance-floor. you let his words settle between you. you were so sure he just wanted to see you writhe, watch you panic as your karma catches up to you. you wouldn’t blame him one bit. but that’s not who chris is— you should know that.
it’s just easier, to think that he’d hate you for it. you’d have that in common. if he doesn’t, where did that leave the past year?
“i meant it,” he continued. you gulp, keeping your gaze forward. “when i said forever.”
the music blends into a slow tune. guys offer ladies their hand, couples put their arms around each other and sway along.
you can see chris’s hand in the corner of your eye— he’s holding it out to you, just barely keeping himself still.
it’s all too much.
you’re walking off without sparing him another glance, not listening as he calls after you. your eyes find a balcony, wading through the crowd with a determined glare.
you let out a heavy breath as you push past the glass door, throat constricting with a sob. you consider the urge to scream out at the horizon. but then you hear the glass slide open behind you.
chris calls your name. it’s soft. far from upset. you don’t get it. “are we really not going to talk about it?”
you bit the inside of your cheek. “that was the intent, yeah.”
you hear him sigh behind you. and then his footsteps slowly closing in. you hold your breath until he appears in your peripheral, staring out into the sky with you. when you see him face you, it takes everything in you to keep a poker face. your knuckles turn white as you grip the balcony railing.
his voice is calm, quiet. “where’d you go, baby?”
you sigh. it’s time to stop outrunning it, then.
“we’re young, chris. you’re an idol.” when you face him, you almost want to take the words back. his eyes are searching, pleading nearly. you’re not fully getting across to him. “you don’t need a burden like me. enjoy the fame.”
you give him a reassuring smile, as if to say you’ve made peace with the idea. you had far too many fears while wearing that ring on your finger. would he still remember where home is when he’s touring the world? would he still pick you amongst a crowd all competing for his attention?
you didn’t want to stick around to find out. it’s why you left— saves you both the trouble.
chris’s jaw hardens. you prepare for him to agree with you, to understand where you’re coming from. but his hand inches closer to yours on the railing.
“how could the woman i love be a burden?”
you shake your head, muttering a “don’t” as you chew your lip. you try to turn away from him, but he’s there, leaning after you.
“i held out hope, you know. since you never called it off.” his voice treads lightly, like you’re a deer that might run off from a branch snap. “the engagement.”
he always sees right through you. you felt naked. vulnerable. sometimes it felt liberating, to be understood to the marrow by another human being. and other times it was dangerous.
“do you still have the ring?” he tries to keep his tone even, but his own body betrays him— voice shaking with uncertainty ever so slightly.
of course you still had it. you couldn’t bring yourself to chuck it out— just hid it in a box in the back of your closet where it’s been collecting dust since. the thought behind it meant more than you’d admit to yourself.
“stop that.” you murmur.
chris dares to glide his fingers over your knuckles. you don’t budge. “stop what?”
“making me think about going back to you.”
chris chuckles— laughs with his whole damn chest. this smug, handsome, thorn in your side.
“is it working?” he slips his hand at the small of your back, just gently to test the waters. when your hands come off the railing, he turns you to face him by the waist. you cross your arms over your chest with a glare, not giving in fully just yet.
he’s looking back at you with eyes full of stars. he tucks a stray lock of hair behind your ear. “you’re so cute when you’re mad.”
you place a hand on his chest, feeling the thudding of his heart under your palm. he sucks in a breath through his nose, lips parted with uncertainty. gaze heavy.
“you still want me, honey?”
your voice is dripping with charm, but there’s more to your words than just that. you need to hear him say it. you need to know, if this is what you’re really doing.
“the ring’s not just for decoration, baby.” his hand comes to hold your jaw, thumb tracing over your cheek. he’s practically already kissing you with his eyes. “you’re all i want for the rest of my life.”
your fingers curl around his tie, pulling his body flush against yours as you steal his breath in a kiss. chris’s hands are placid at first, just light on the sides of your body. but when you roll your hips against him, he groans down your throat— grip tightening as he presses you against him.
your hands thread through his hair, kiss deepening with your tongue teasing his. chris is eager now, his palms roaming over your curves as he elicits little mewls from your mouth.
lost in the haze, you rock against him, and (perhaps unintentionally) he bucks his hips back— his dick digging between your thighs through the layers of fabric. he whispers “missed you so much,” on your lips— and that’s when you pull away.
you’re still very much at an industry event.
shame washes over you like a tidal wave. you wipe the saliva from your chin— lips swollen from the force of chris’s kisses. he chuckles shyly, rubbing the back of his neck. your eyes dart down, taking note of his (what must be) painfully hard erection.
“your body hasn’t forgotten me, huh?” you tease, straightening up your clothes.
chris readjusts the front of his slacks— to little avail. you giggle. he shakes his head, flustered. “how could i?”
you fix up his tie, brush through his hair. “let’s get this over and done with. then we’ll continue this later, yeah?”
chris flashes you one last smile, opening the door for you to enter first. he can’t help himself to a light slap as you walk in.
you’re sure there must’ve been photos taken with shaky hands, or anonymous emails sent to media outlets. but that’s just what’ll come with this life, dating an idol. and you’re in this together: husband and wife to be.
note: i’m so sleepy pls ignore any mistakes lol

AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX WHAT A RACE!!!
Lets recap:
FP 1,2 and 3
Lando topping the timesheet in fp1 with his time at 1:17.252 with 21 laps completed with Carlos in second and Charles in third with Oscar and Max rounding up with top five. Oliver bearman lost control of the haas at the turn 9/10 chicane which slammed him into a concrete wall ending his first fp1 session in Australia.
In fp2 Charles topped the timesheet with 1:16.439 putting him four tenths clear of Lewis with Oscar 0.124s behind Charles and Lando in third while rookie Isack Hadjar and Lewis rounded the top five up.
In fp3 Oscar topped the timesheet with his time of 1:15.921 with George 0.039s behind and Max in third with Charles and rookie Kimi Antoneilli rounding up the top five sadly Oliver Bearman missed fp2 but was able to particpate in fp3 only to crash not long after dipping his wheel onto the grass under breaking at turn 11 making him go for a wild spin and stuck under a gravel trap.
Quali
After max had secured provisional pole for the first few runs of q3 Oscar beating that by four tenths of a second but Oscar didn’t keep p1 for long as Lando came in with his time of 1:15.096 Max ended up in third with George and Yuki in forth and fifth and the scuderia duo having to settle for seventh and eighth after a yellow flag for lewis has he spun out. Oliver Bearman who sadly couldn’t start his qualifying session which puts him at the back of the grid but most importantly a McLaren front row lockout happened.
Race 🏎️🏁
The race was giving me memories of brazil 2024 two changes happened to the build up of the race with Liam and Oliver starting at the pitlane due to suspension set up and specific changes under perc farme conditions every driver except Lance had started on inters not long after the formation lap Isack lost control of his racing bull at the exit of turn one which delayed the start by 15 minutes after the second start happened australians own rookie Jack Doohan in the Alpine and hitting the barriers at turn 5 then under the safety car Carlos in his Williams crashed through the final corner reporting a ‘ massive power surge’ on his radio.
As Lando was leading he reported he saw dry patches appearing along the circuit was informed by the McLaren pit wall there would be no rain for the next 30 minutes. As the laps ticked by Oscar continued to light up the timesheet and in turn starting putting some pressure on Lando giving the pit wall to think about when he got in DRS range.
An even bigger twist came at lap 34 when Fernando in the Aston Martin crashed heavily at the turn six exit spot that brought out another safety car and almost the entire grid pitted for slicks shortly afterwards haas both boxed Esteban and Oliver to change their inters for mediums as they were against pitting under the safety car with a clear dry line now visible for the best part of the lap. Meanwhile a five second penalty was given to rookie Gabriel for an unsafe release involving Liam’s Redbull.
As the rain continued to intensify underlined accidents for Gabriel at turn 13 and Liam at turn 2 and a smaller off for charles meaning the safety car was called out once again with both Ferrari’s dropping the fight for honours between Lando and Max once more. Lewis got on the radio letting out his fustration that “ they missed a big opportunity”. Max gave it all in the last few laps getting within DRS range but not close enough letting Lando get his fifth career victory with George in third.
- Williams have had a strong weekend in all 3 practices and in qualifying with alex finishing the race in p4 after a five second penalty was given to Kimi but unfortunately carlos slid off track earlier in the race let him to dnf. ( just looked at the offical formula one twitter they reversed that postion back )
- both rookies Liam and Oliver struggling this weekend could there be a mid season driver swap for both teams if they don’t perform well?
- I think Oscar could have gotten into the top 3 or even won if he didn’t accidentally slide onto the grass

is this circuit a good one for overtaking? if charles can’t fight for pole (😬) im hoping he has the pace to overtake…
It's free practice, this timesheet is all over the place for most teams, the issues we saw today are not a big concern. And I think we are going to see drastically different quali results. Do not assume we can't fight for pole based on this session.
A lot of teams operating on different engine modes, setups, and also on different programs. These results mean very little. The track evolution was high with the rubber being laid down. And this was dry and quali will be wet
We go through this every FP, and it's fine.
Canada is mid for overtaking. Not the best, but also not as bad as the last two tracks we've been to.
#I have a theory about what Ferrari did to the setup but I will save it until after quali#because I think they may be insane but if it works they are genius#waiting and watching closely#lui answers#every FP people doom and then Ferrari prove them wrong#also no one panic about the brakes

2010 Car Launch
Sebastian Vettel | Driver – Car 5
Sebastian Vettel’s first foray into Formula One saw him fined for speeding in the pitlane during the first ten seconds of his debut. It’s fair to say he hasn’t slowed down much since.
Fame and fortune hasn’t made any discernable impact on Seb (“What fortune?” he asks, bewildered). He still gives his cars girl’s names, argues that there are more exciting things in life than driving Formula One cars (but not many) and is proud of being taller than Rubens Barrichello. He loathes being referred as ‘the new Schumacher,’ and so is relieved to see his Race of Champions team-mate returning to F1.
Born 3 July 1987 in the town of Heppenheim, Germany, Sebastian enjoyed a successful career in karting before making an immediate impression the moment he came into open-wheel racing. Starting the 2003 season aged 15, he won five of 19 races in his debut Formula BMW year, finishing second in the German Championship. The next year he took the title, winning 18 of the 20 races (he finished on the podium in the other two but doesn’t like to talk about them).
It marked Vettel as one to watch and he duly tested F1 cars for Williams and BMW-Sauber, while moving up through the junior ranks, impressing in Formula 3 and the World Series by Renault. Vettel’s chance in F1 came when he replaced Robert Kubica as BMW-Sauber’s third driver in the second half of the 2006 season. In addition to incurring the Stewards’ wrath, Vettel’s debut during Friday practice for the Turkish Grand Prix also saw him finish the day top of the timesheets.
While the performance on track was impressive, everyone was equally knocked out by the confidence and effervescence with which the teenage Seb dealt with the garage and Paddock. The authority with which he spoke and the evident self-deprecating wit stood him out as much as the blistering pace.
Sebastian finally got his chance to race a year later, standing in for the injured Kubica at the United States Grand Prix. Still only 19, he qualified seventh and finished eighth, becoming the youngest man to score a Championship point. Later in the 2007 season he moved to a permanent seat at Scuderia Toro Rosso. He made a lasting impression on future team-mate Mark Webber (and the rear of his car) during the monsoon-hit Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji before bouncing back a week later to secure fourth place at an equally waterlogged Chinese Grand Prix.
Confirmed for 2008, Vettel didn’t have the best start to his first full season and crashed out of the first four races, mostly as a result of being dragged into other drivers’ accidents. Fortunately the crash-magnet curse was soon lifted and Vettel scored points at Monaco, Montreal, Hockenheim, Valencia, Spa, Singapore, Fuji and Interlagos – though the only race anyone properly remembers is the Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
On the back of a strong fifth place in Belgium, Vettel and Scuderia Toro Rosso went to Italy in good form. Torrential rain over the weekend failed to dampen their pace and Vettel duly became, first, the youngest driver to take pole position in Formula One history, and then the youngest race winner, having utterly dominated the race in which a rudder may have been of more use than a steering wheel.
Elevated to the senior Red Bull team for 2009, Vettel won his second, and Red Bull Racing’s first, victory at the third race of the year. He followed it with a string of podium and solid points-scoring finishes and established himself as a firm championship contender with a second, commanding victory in the British Grand Prix. He finished the season strongly with further victories in Japan and Abu Dhabi that, together with four other podium finishes, took him to second place in the Drivers’ Championship.
Definitely a follower of the ‘second is first of the losers’ philosophy, Sebastian has loftier ambitions for 2010. He lists his lifetime ambitions as winning the Formula One World Championship and beating Kimi Räikkönen at badminton.

Sebastian and the RB6
It was windy, it was cold - rain was just a matter of time. Sebastian‘s face was nearly covered by his Beanie cap, but despite the dark clouds he was in really good mood. The reason why? It was the moment when his new car was unveiled. Sebastian laughs: „Finally we are back on the track - the winter break was far too long."
Sebastian stands in front of his car and proudly he gives a short version explanation: „We were lucky to have the best of all cars during the second half of the season. That means we had a very good base right from the beginning, so we just had to develop the car. In contrast some of the opponents had to develop completely new designed cars."
The only real new part: „I got a new seat, it‘s like having a new chair. Beside that in general all the more than thousand parts of a Formula One car have been optimised. "I have a feeling I can reach my target"… So far I have not made a decision regarding the car‘s name. So ideas are welcomed.More next Friday: Today and tomorrow my team mate Mark will do the shake down and the first laps.
On Friday it will be my turn and so on Friday evening I will able to give you further information, about how the RB6´s handling qualities.

Jerez Test

JEREZ TEST – Day Three
Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Car: RB6 – 01
Laps: 59
Best time: 1.21.783
Circuit length: 4.423 km
Fastest lap: J. Alguersuari – 1:19.919
Sebastian Vettel drove Red Bull Racing’s 2010 championship challenger, the RB6, for the first time today, as he took over from Mark Webber on day three of the current four-day test in Jerez.
After an initial run on dry tyres, Sebastian was forced to use intermediate and extremes for the rest of the day as wet weather set in from 0945hrs. The team’s plan was to focus on aero-testing, but progress was hampered by deteriorating weather. By 1615hrs, conditions were so wet on track that Red Bull Racing, in line with the other Formula One teams testing in Jerez, decided to end the session early. Despite the weather, the car ran without any problems today.
Sebastian Vettel commented; “After three months, it was good to come back and drive the car – it felt okay and we didn’t have any big issues. Obviously the weather is not ideal for us to find out more about the car, but we knew the rain was coming so we didn’t mess around this morning and went straight out to do some laps. It then rained all day, but you could face these conditions in a grand prix, so it’s important to do laps in the wet. Overall, we didn’t do enough because of the weather, but I’m pretty happy.”
Sebastian will be driving the RB6 again tomorrow for the last day of this current preseason F1 test at the Jerez Circuit.
2010 Rider on the Storm
Sebastian Vettel | Driver – Car 5
"You can't influence the weather, we have seen that today. After a three month break, I was finally able to sit in the car today and it was good fun, I am still able to drive and the car feels good. This morning I did some (a few) laps in the dry the car went well straight away, but then it started raining and I had to park the car for some time in the garage. For sure it's a shame that it wasn't dry all day but also its possible to have rain in a race and so you have to learn to keep up with diffrent weather conditions. At the moment its still very difficult to give an idea of where everybody stands due to the new rules and the big tanks. The teams are driving with diffrent fuel levels and this also keeps changing. I hope it continues raining over night so that nothing is left for tomorrow and I can speed though all day, but as I said we have to see as we can't tell mother nature what to do..."

JEREZ TEST – Day Four
Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Car: RB6 – 01
Laps: 90
Best time: 1.21.203
Circuit length: 4.423 km
Fastest lap: L. Hamilton – 1.19.583
Sebastian Vettel was at the wheel of Red Bull Racing’s RB6 today for the final day of the current Jerez test. It was his second day of testing, as Mark Webber had driven on days one and two.
The team’s plan was to focus on set-up work and aero testing, although the weather once again played a part and damp conditions in the morning meant Sebastian began the day on intermediate tyres.
Conditions dried by lunchtime, but a fuel pump failure in the afternoon cost the team around three hours of dry running time. Sebastian ended the day with a final long run on dry tyres.
At the end of the RB6’s first test, Ian Morgan, Head of Race Engineering said: “It’s been a productive first week with the RB6, despite the weather and lack of dry conditions. We’re pleased with the car overall, it’s showing a lot of promise.” The next test will take place at the Jerez Circuit, starting on Wednesday 17 February.

Barcelona Test - Tag 2 (english version below)
Sebastian Vettel | Fahrer – RB6-01
Auto: RB6-01
Runden: 125
Bestzeit: 1.21,258 Min.
Während der Tests will man keine Schäden riskieren.
Barcelona Test - Day 2
Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Car: RB6 – 01
Laps: 125
Best time: 1.21.285
Circuit length: 4.655 km
Fastest lap: N. Hülkenberg – 1:20.614
The team drove its second race simulation, and at the end of the day Sebastian had completed 125 laps.
Ian Morgen, Head of Race Engineering said; “Today we experienced about a repeat of the race simulation that Mark drove yesterday. Everything went more or less according to plan. We again stopped the car during the simulation. This was a safety measure to control a few things. It was a small problem and we could continue soon after. Sebastian could finish the race simulation in full length before end of the test day. We ran many laps and are quite happy about the car.”
Sebastian Vettel said: “This was a good day – no large problems showed up. During the course of the afternoon we had to take a break due to a small thing, but that’s pretty normal with testing drives. On test days you don’t want to risk damage. For that reason it’s best to stop the car once there’s alarms in the background. Because it rained a lot in Jerez, we have a lot of work to do in the coming few days. For example we have to find out more about the tires and do a bit of coordination work.”
Sebastian Vettel will take the wheel again tomorrow before passing it back again to Mark on Sunday, the last test day.
Barcelona Test - Tag 3 (english below)
Sebastian Vettel | Fahrer – RB6-02
Auto: RB6-02
Runden: 44
Bestzeit: 1.23,123 Min.
Streckenlänge: 4,655 km
Tagesschnellster: N. Rosberg (1.20,686 km)
Barcelona Test - Day 3
Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Car: RB6 – 01
Laps: 44
Best time: 1:23.123
Circuit length: 4.655 km
Fastest lap: N. Rosberg – 1:20.686
Sebastian Vettel finished his second test day in Barcelona at the last test before the start of the season. The day was affected by rain. In the morning only few laps were run due to a mix of rain showers and technical problems. The afternoon showed to be more useful because the team worked on the race setup for the first race of the season in Bahrain. Sebastian reached his best time during the last lap of the day. Ian Morgan, Head of Race Engineering said; “After the nightly work in view of the program planned for the day we were late due to a few technical problems in the morning. After we got to driving in the afternoon, we managed to do three, four setup tests for the race in Bahrain. Those brought us clear results. Accordingly we finished the day in much better form.“ Tomorrow, on the last test day, Sebastian and Mark Webber will be sharing the car.
28 | 02 | 10
Barcelona Test - Tag 4 (english below)
Sebastian Vettel | Fahrer – RB6-02
Fahrer: Sebastian Vettel/Mark Webber
Auto: RB6-02
Runden: 137 (Vettel – 76; Webber – 61)
Bestzeit: Vettel: 1.20,667 Min.
Streckenlänge: 4,655 km
Tagesschnellster: L. Hamilton (1.20,472 Min.)
Barcelona Test - Day 4
Usually, my Tests would have concluded on Saturday, but due to the bad weather conditions I did not get to the distance I wanted. Because of that we agreed that I’d get back into the car Sunday morning. On Friday we did a race simulation where everything went more or less according to plan. Now we need to wait for the first race in Bahrain, today in two weeks, where everyone will drop their pants… We’ll have to work on our top speed until then, but all in all I’m rather happy with the car. By the way: I have a name already, but I’ll only share that one on my website the Monday before the GP…
Drivers: Sebastian Vettel/Mark Webber
Car: RB6-02
Laps: 137 (Vettel – 76; Webber – 61)
Best time: Vettel: 1:20.667
Circuit length: 4,655 km
Fastest lap: L. Hamilton – 1:20.472
After he spent less time on the track than expected, Sebastian was in the car in the morning, while Mark finished our preparations for the new season in the afternoon. Both drivers followed similar programs that the team successfully completed. The provisionally final setups for different tank fillings were found.
Ian Morgan, Head of Race Engineering, said; ”Because we lost some time yesterday, we couldn’t finish everything we set out to do with Seb. For that reason we went over more or less one and a half test days worth of work, which got us to 137 laps. That was a lot of turmoil but we managed to do a lot.
The last test went well for us. After limited testing opportunities on dry track during the tests in Jerez, the almost fully dry four days of testing here let us get back on course. During the course of the week we took great steps. These were very good test drives.”
Two weeks still separate us from the first World Championship race, the Bahrain GP.

Why Businesses Are Changing How They Track Time with Biometric Attendance Software.
If you have ever worked with traditional punch cards or paper timesheets, you are aware of how time-consuming and unreliable they can be. Presenting biometric attendance software, a cutting-edge option that is rapidly taking the lead for companies seeking precision, security, and a great deal less hassle.
Biometric Attendance: What Is It?
To put it simply, biometric attendance systems use a physical feature of your body, such as your face, fingerprint, or even your iris, to record when you arrive at work and depart. Does that sound futuristic? Perhaps. However, it is already in place and doing wonders in factories, hospitals, schools, and offices all over the world.
No More "Buddy Punching"
People have always come up with inventive ways to circumvent time systems, let's face it. "Buddy punching," in which a person clocks in for a coworker, is one popular tactic. That's practically impossible with biometrics. You are not yet able to send your face to work or fake a fingerprint.
You Can Trust Accuracy Because manual input is a common feature of traditional attendance systems, errors are unavoidable. Every log is linked to a specific individual at a given time using biometric software. It is accurate, automated, and eliminates the need for speculation or "I believe I arrived at nine."
Faster Payroll, Less Admin Work
When attendance is tracked accurately, payroll becomes a lot easier. You’re not chasing people for missing hours or trying to decipher sloppy handwriting on timesheets. Biometric systems integrate with payroll software, so calculating hours, overtime, and leave is faster and more reliable.
It's secure and safe.
It's reasonable that some people are concerned about privacy when it comes to biometrics. However, contemporary biometric systems store encrypted data that is useless outside the system, rather than your real fingerprint or face. Your employees' data is protected as long as you're working with a trustworthy provider.
Easy to Use, Even for Non-Tech People
A lot of people assume biometric systems are complicated. The truth? They’re surprisingly simple. Employees just scan their finger or look into a camera, and that’s it. No passwords to remember. No ID cards to lose. Just show up and scan in.
Is It Time to Switch?
A biometric system might be a game-changer if you're having trouble with payroll errors, late arrivals, or unclear attendance. It eliminates uncertainty from tracking the time of your team and is quick and safe. Although there is an initial expense, the time and accuracy savings more than offset it.
Concluding remarks Best Biometric attendance software is a more intelligent approach to workforce management, not just a passing fad. Running a team of ten or a thousand people can save time, money, and a great deal of frustration if you have a system that knows exactly who is working (and when). Perhaps it's time to permanently bid manual logs farewell.

Has managing your Home Care agency become a burden? Hiring hassles, maintaining compliance, and day-to-day obstacles getting in the way? Achieving the success you’ve dreamed of without all the hiccups is possible. Let’s go over 6 proven tips on how to run a successful Home Care Agency.
Tips for Home Care Agency Success
1. Agency Goals and Outlook
Establishing a business plan of your agency’s goals and projections gives a realistic picture of where your agency currently stands, and outlines your growth strategy, forecasting where you’ll be in three years. It includes describing your agency’s objectives and actions needed to achieve them. Revisit your business plan as needed to incorporate changes your agency undergoes. Having a clear picture of your agency’s outlook provides more precision in expectations and planning.
2. Finances
Managing and tracking finances is crucial for efficient spending, such as supplies, maintenance, payroll, and expenses. It provides a clearer picture, allowing you to cut out wasted investments and place money where it pays off.
A robust financial plan empowers you with better handling of finances to achieve your agency’s long-term goals, and manage ideal strategies and investments for continuing growth.
3. Compliance
A critical tip on how to run a successful Home Care Agency, is to strictly stay on top of compliance. The last thing you want is a bad reputation as a result of non-compliance issues. Keeping up with state and federal regulations makes the difference between having a profitable agency with a stellar reputation vs one that is continuously audited, and seen as questionable by clients.
4. The Best Caregivers
Finding outstanding caregivers lies at the core of your agency’s success. This is because your caregivers are the primary communicators with patients. How they present themselves will naturally serve as a reflection of your agency.
Hiring reliable, trustworthy caregivers who are attentive and have a sound understanding of patients’ needs will save you headaches in the long run. Train your employees in a way that’ll prepare them on how to handle even the most difficult of situations. Caregivers that are well-equipped from the start, will exhibit more confidence, and lower your turnaround rate.

As a business owner, your creative side comes into play with marketing, allowing you to see things from the client’s perspective. What kind of platforms will propects be using to find home care agencies? What marketing techniques will win them over?

month 7?
it's a good sign that i'm losing track of the months i've been back in LA, because it means that i'm finally feeling adjusted and that i feel like i "live" here now. i no longer am nervous about driving and socializing has become more of the norm. although when i see people, i do have to relearn how to interact with them. it's now pretty natural again with family members.
work: still training JD here and there, but he's been pretty good at handling the work so that i don't have to. i'm basically managing him for my old position now. there is one last population we still need to go over. now that my previous job duties are transitioning to a new person (which it didn't with the last hire A), i'm getting new work. i'm picking up another thing from CA's job duties, and now meeting with staff HR for other projects. i report to the HR director, so i'm almost like a mini him. he wanted me to approve timesheets on his behalf when he's away. i'm also now the approver for docusign access, lol. i feel glad to have new and more responsibilities, but don't want my job to get too demanding at the same time.
health: a bit (very) late to this game, but i'm barely learning about microplastics and becoming more cognizant of my lifestyle. fml for eating so much takeout, especially hot soups in takeout packaging, in NYC. i'm now doing a cleanse and switching to stainless steel, ceramics or glass where i can. and i'll try as much to avoid hot foods takeout if i know it's going to be packaged in plastic. also barely learning about how to properly use a dishwasher and what should go inside of it versus not.
edit: to document in writing, we have officially transitioned to 2% milk. i've been drinking full fat whole milk almost my entire life, lol. but i realize the extra creaminess, fats, and cholesterol are not worth it.
skincare: now my skincare has developed into a fixed habit where i feel weird if i don't do it, so that's nice! it's a good ritual to either get my day started, or to wind down at the end of a day. so far, i don't see much improvements with my sun spots, but overall i think my skin looks better.
ceramics: officially closing out the second semester. i threw a lot of things this semester. finally can make decent looking matcha bowls and wavy cups. in the future semester, instead of practicing and keeping all my pieces, i will only keep the pieces i love. i now have a feel of the different glazes and how it applies to the piece. maybe i'll experiment with a non-beginner clay next. ceramics is another thing where i needed to learn the best practices for protection of health, because of the exposure to silica. i initially started wearing surgical masks, which i later learned did nothing, so i got some KN95 masks to wear to the studio and gloves to use while glazing. i would say less than 5% of the studio go-ers wear masks/gloves, so i'm hoping i'm just being extra paranoid. i'm also trying to take good action at home, by washing my clothes that have been worn to the studio/tainted by clay separately and keeping them enclosed to trap any dust particles.
edit: i picked up my final pieces today and have one favorite wavy cup, where the glaze came out 95% well. it's a mix of apple green celadon and matte white. one of the frequent studio go-ers even complimented my pieces and asked which glaze i used. it's the first time i made anything good enough where people are curious, lol.
social life: this past month has been full of nice social events. i'm getting closer to my west coast friends/rekindling friendships and losing touch with my east coast friends unfortunately. LW who moved out of nyc to norcal was good about keeping in touch with me but she stopped like last month. SC and i still text weekly or so, but the messages have been less detailed and less frequent, and we haven't done our virtual workout in a while. TP is on my mind and she seems to be doing well, but i feel awkward initiating conversation if there's no plan of meeting.
my online friend L is living out his dream in cambodia finally. he had a lot of fun his first week there due to khmer new year, but i'm not sure how the rest of his time will go.
mostly digital friend KT went through a transformation recently, where she colored her hair purple/pink and abandoned her glasses for contacts. she's going through a "hot girl phase" for the first time in her life, and that's affecting how she's feeling about herself (much more positively).
i made pho for the first time in LA for my family, and it was mostly a success - minus the part where my mom came over and took over the seasoning of my broth, lol. she told me i was using fish sauce that was made for white people and gave me one that's made in thailand. i have a better understanding of how to make it now for a group of 6+ people and offered to make it again this weekend since my dad is now back from cambodia.
travels: this is a nice change, going on trips a couple times a year, instead of the many many times we used to go while in nyc. i haven't packed/unpacked a suitcase in over half a year :o, which is the longest in the last 5 years or so? planning for japan has been a bit stressful, because we were again overly ambitious with the places we'd like to travel to (and because chatgpt underestimated the travel times and we believed them). i hope we don't get too lost in japan. not looking forward to the long flight or jet lag, but i'm excited to see the more rural side of japan. completing a list of small tasks this week to prepare.

Where does TimeControl stand in the use of AI?
Where does TimeControl stand in the use of AI? Further than you might think.
HMS started using AI techniques in TimeControl back in 1999. Surprised? Artificial Intelligence has been around awhile and you probably wouldn’t have noticed how we leveraged it back in 99. At that time we created a communications protocol called “HMI” for TimeControl to transmit enormous volumes of TimeControl data through the Internet. It had the capability of re-routing traffic based on…

Biometric Attendance Software: Bring Accuracy and Ease to Workforce Management
It is difficult to manually track employee attendance or to use antiquated systems. Time logs become difficult to manage across departments, punch cards are misplaced, and handwritten manual sheets can be falsified. Because it's one of the best business decisions a company can make, businesses are moving to biometric attendance systems.
Biometric Attendance System
Biometric attendance systems clock employees in and out using biological traits like facial recognition and fingerprint scans. Despite its high-tech sound, it's surprisingly easy to use. Workers simply scan and leave. No need to remember passwords. Don't punch your friends. It only takes a few seconds to check in securely.
The accuracy of biometric attendance systems is what really sets them apart. It is practically impossible to falsify employes attendance because every individual has distinct biological traits. This implies that companies receive trustworthy, clean data that is ideal for managing overtime, tracking shifts, and calculating payroll.
HR and administrative teams also save a great deal of time with these systems. With a few clicks, they can retrieve reports rather than searching for missing timesheets or fixing mistakes. Month-end procedures are made simple by certain platforms that even integrate directly with payroll software.
Another bonus that isn't appreciated enough? It instills a sense of equity in workers. No one is exempt from the same standards. Team trust and accountability are increased when members are aware of the system's transparency.
Conclusion
It is more crucial than ever to have a trustworthy method of tracking time in the modern workplace, where remote, hybrid, and flexible schedules are becoming the norm. A biometric attendance system is a contemporary, effective way for companies to maintain organization while keeping things easy and equitable for workers.

Gasly puts Alpine on top in first Saudi F1 practice
JEDDAH: Pierre Gasly was surprise top of the timesheets for Renault-owned Alpine in first practice for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Friday. The French driver lapped the super-fast Jeddah Corniche circuit with a best time of one minute 29.239 seconds, 0.007 quicker than McLaren’s Formula One leader Lando Norris could manage. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was third, 0.070 off the leading pace, with…

Yes, I am almost certain Ferrari were running a wet conditions setup, while others were running dry. Like the brake balance was geared at trying to find the best grip in certain corners. Because this quali and race are not going to be won by sheer top speed, but why whichever car has the best grip in a few key areas. Ferrari seem to be very dialed into that. And it looks weird in the results running a wet setup on dry tyres.
There is more to it, but my general feeling is they were running a medium power wet setup on drys and that has led to mid looking results on these timesheets compared to other teams running different programs. But this will likely pay off well when it does rain during quali/the race.
They didn't really compromise. With quali being almost a 100% chance of rain being prepared for wet is wise. This isn't like some cases where it's a chance of maybe some light rain, where it would probably be better to run a dry setup for practice. The chance of rain is high, whoever prepares best will likely be ahead for the weekend.
But also not all teams had limited running. The field is still close and we are going to see a tight quali I think.

How to Choose the Right Project Management Tracking Tool

Project management is no longer about managing tasks with sticky notes or spreadsheets. With growing complexity, multi-geographic teams, and tighter deadlines, the need for a reliable project tracking tool is undeniable. But with so many tools in the market, how do you choose the right one?
Selecting a project management tracking tool isn’t just about ticking off features. It’s about finding a platform that aligns with your workflow, team dynamics, and long-term business goals. Here’s a practical guide to help you make the right choice.
1. Understand Your Project Needs
Start by identifying what you’re trying to solve. Are you struggling with delays, resource conflicts, scope creep, or lack of visibility? Do you manage internal projects, client projects, or both? Your pain points will shape the kind of tool you need.
For example:
If you run multiple parallel projects, you may need portfolio-level visibility.
If you’re handling billable projects, tracking effort vs. cost becomes crucial.
If your team is cross-functional or global, real-time collaboration is key.
2. Evaluate Core Features
Once you know your needs, list the essential features that matter to your team. Some must-haves for most organisations include:
Task and milestone tracking
Gantt charts or timeline views
Resource availability and allocation
Budget tracking and cost visibility
Real-time updates and notifications
Custom dashboards and reporting
Integration with tools like timesheets, HRMS, CRM, or ERP systems
Don’t get swayed by fancy features unless they solve a real problem for you.
3. Focus on User Experience
A powerful tool that nobody wants to use is as good as no tool at all. The user experience (UX) is critical. Look for:
An intuitive interface
Easy onboarding for your team
Mobile accessibility
Minimal learning curve
The tool should simplify work, not add to it.
4. Consider Scalability
The tool you choose today should be able to scale with your organisation. As your project volume grows, so will your needs—for automation, advanced analytics, resource forecasting, and cross-project reporting. Make sure the platform can evolve with you.
5. Prioritise Integration Capabilities
A project tracking tool works best when it connects with your existing ecosystem. Seamless integration with timesheet tools, financial software, document repositories, and communication platforms ensures smooth workflows and reduces data silos.
6. Check for Customisation Options
Every team has unique workflows. A good project tracking tool should allow custom fields, project templates, and workflows tailored to your methodology—be it agile, waterfall, or hybrid. The more flexible the tool, the easier it is to fit into your team’s way of working.
7. Assess Support and Security
Before finalising, explore the level of customer support offered—onboarding help, documentation, live chat, or dedicated account managers. Also, ensure the platform follows best practices in data security and compliance, especially if you're dealing with client-sensitive data.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right project management tracking tool isn’t about finding the “best” one—it’s about finding the right fit for your team. Take time to explore options, involve end-users in the decision, and prioritise adaptability. The right tool won’t just help you track tasks—it will empower your teams to deliver projects with greater control, clarity, and confidence.

Biometric Attendance Systems: Everything Employees Need to Know

Biometric attendance systems have become increasingly popular in workplaces around the world. These systems offer a secure and efficient way for employees to clock in and out of work. In other words, it effectively replaces all the traditional methods that have been in use until recently such as paper timesheets or swipe cards. In this blog post, we will explore everything employees need to know about biometric attendance systems.
What is a Biometric Attendance System?
A biometric attendance system is a technology that uses unique biological traits, such as fingerprints, facial recognition, or iris scans, to verify an individual's identity. When incorporated into attendance management software, these machines could accurately and securely record employees' attendance and total work hours.
How Does it Work?
When an employee wants to clock in or out using a biometric attendance machine, they simply have to scan their biometric data, such as their fingerprint or face. The system matches this data with the stored information in its database to confirm the person's identity. Hence, there is accurate tracking of employees' work hours without the possibility of buddy punching or time theft.
Benefits for Employees
Biometric attendance machines have equal benefits for both employees and employers. However, as we are focusing this blog on what employees should know about these machines, let’s take a look at some of the key benefits these systems offer for the employees.
Enhanced Security
biometric attendance machines offer a high level of security compared to traditional methods. Since biometric data is unique to each individual, employees can be confident that their attendance records are accurate and secure.
Convenient and Efficient
Using a biometric attendance system is often quicker and more convenient than traditional methods. Employees need not carry around swipe cards or remember passwords. They can take advantage of a quick and secure clock-in process and enjoy it hassle-free.
Fair and Accurate Attendance Records
With biometric attendance systems, employees do not have to fear others manipulating attendance records through practices like buddy punching and thus can be assured of fair recognition for their work hours. Many studies prove that one of the starting points of a toxic work culture is unfair attendance practices.
Accurate Tracking of Work Hours
Biometric attendance systems provide precise tracking of employees' work hours. Both employees and employers can keep watch of their attendance, overtime, and leave balances. While this ensures accurate payroll processing and compliance with labour regulations for the employer, it gives employees transparency and confidence in their recorded work hours.
Privacy and Data Security
Many employees may have concerns about the privacy and security of their biometric data when using these systems. It's important for employers to address these concerns by implementing robust data protection measures, such as encryption and secure storage of biometric information, to safeguard employees' data.
Best Practices for Employees Using Biometric Attendance Systems
With fingerprint, facial, and iris recognition, biometric attendance systems bring an unprecedented level of accuracy to workplace time tracking. Understanding how to properly interact with these systems is essential to ensure accurate attendance records while also protecting your personal data and privacy rights. Here are some guidelines for the best practice of using biometric attendance machines.
Follow Proper Usage Guidelines
Position your fingerprint, face, or iris correctly during scanning to ensure successful recognition. Avoid rushing the process, remove obstacles like gloves or glasses when necessary, and verify successful verification before leaving the scanning area.
Report Any Issues Immediately
When experiencing repeated failed scans or noticing system irregularities, contact your HR department promptly. Documenting specific problems helps technical teams resolve issues quickly, preventing inaccuracies in your attendance record and payroll calculations.
Understand Your Rights
Familiarize yourself with company policies regarding biometric data collection, storage, and usage. You have the right to know how your data is protected, who can access it, and the legal framework governing biometric information in your workplace.
Conclusion
In conclusion, biometric attendance systems are a valuable asset for both employees and employers since they offer a range of benefits that contribute to a more secure and efficient work environment. By understanding how these systems work and the advantages they bring, employees can make the most of this technology to improve their work experience.
