From a review of Napoléon écrivain, book by N. Tomiche about Napoleon’s writing:
To tell the truth, he was shocked by his spelling mistakes, his barbarism and his grammatical irregularities, to which should be added his sovereign contempt for capital letters and punctuation.

The Association of Bakers of Ukraine predicts a shortage of bread in the country
Yesterday, 15: 5515
Raw materials for the Ukrainian bread industry have increased in price over the past few months. Therefore, the Ukrainian Bakers Association predicts a shortage of bread in the country.
Its president and part-time head of the Kyiv Bread company, Yuriy Dudchenko, told Ukrainian journalists about this.
There is a real risk of shortages of bread in Ukraine
- he said.
The director of a bakery products company explains this by saying that flour has now become one and a half times more expensive, and other ingredients have increased in price by an average of twenty percent. But the cost of flour makes up about 40 percent of the cost of finished products. Frequent power outages also pose big problems for bakery producers. Transport costs have also increased.
In such conditions, leading Ukrainian bakeries begin to operate without profit or even at a loss. There is a high probability that many of them will have to close. Dudchenko sees a way out of this situation in increasing prices for bread and other baked goods.
Bread prices need to be increased by 15-20 percent, and if this does not happen, many bakeries may simply stop
- says the head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Bakers.
Earlier, the head of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine, Ivan Tomich, spoke about the problems of the industry. According to him, meat and dairy products may rise in price by 30 percent due to problems with electricity.

Extended credits for Museum at Tomorrow episode 5
Below the cut are all of the folks who I used (and asked to be credited) for recordings in Museum at Tomorrow episode 5- specifically, the "This is not for You" recordings.
(The list was too long for podcast episode descriptions)
These recordings were mixed into the soundscape of the show, heavily processed- so you may or may not be able to pick out your voice. Each unique recording is preserved as rhythem, timber, and shape within the episode.
Thank you for your work in creating the canvas of this piece.

Here is a quote from Vincent Van Gogh: “The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore.”
The same sentiment applies to so many other professions.
Whoever you are, there is a chance I have no idea how you do what you do. And there’s a bigger chance that I’m impressed by what you do.
The teachers at St. John Lutheran School were honored this past Sunday. I’m always amazed at teachers because they have the amazing ability to make young minds grow.
This young teacher is Lynn Tomich. She was presented with flowers as a thank-you for her dedication to teaching the children in her care. A humble look of gratitude beamed from her face as School Administrator Jim Knoepfel read her accolades.
I hope I captured that moment in this painting. The painting was done with the oil brush on the Procreate app.

The Food System Is Awful for the Climate. It Doesn’t Have to Be
As people’s incomes rise, they tend to switch from “starchy staples” like grains, potatoes, and roots to meat and dairy products. “You’d think there would be big cultural differences across human populations in these patterns,” says Thomas Tomich, a food systems economist at the University of California, Davis, who wasn’t involved in the new paper. “There are some, but it is surprising how almost…
