I have a headcanon that Eddie waited 20 minutes and then called Tommy to apologize for “ruining their date” and encourages Tommy to give Buck a second chance.

Eddie hangs out with Tommy and acts the same way he would with Buck because that’s how he thinks friends act and then Tommy tries to kiss him and Eddie’s all “woah! where did that come from? i just want to be your friend, dude” and Tommy goes “friend? do you act like this with all of your friends?” cue Eddie realizing that his relationship with Buck is abnormal for two people who are just “friends”
