you groaned as you tapped your phone for the tenth time, only a few minutes having passed as you gave in with a sigh, leaning over and flicking your bedside lamp on.

there was no point in laying in complete darkness by yourself, you weren't sleeping anytime soon. your girlfriend was away on camp and though normally you struggled a little to sleep without her, this week had been especially hard.

you'd recently gotten a promotion at work and though the salary bump and your own office was much appreciated, the extra responsibilities and unpaid overtime wasn't.

you loved what you were doing but come friday night and you were shattered, wishing for nothing more than to just curl up in marys arms. which is what lead to now as you lay here awake, only nine pm but exhausted, almost too tired to sleep.

you doom scrolled your social media's for a while, smiling seeing marys face pop up on a lionesses video from today, sharing it to your story like the proud girlfriend you were. all of your social media's were private, the world knew you were with mary but the two of you kept your relationship as much to yourselves as you could.

it would appear that small post had alerted someone to you being awake as within not even thirty seconds of it posting an incoming facetime call from your girlfriend popped up.

"hi love." you smiled happily, clicking accept as a beat passed and the call connected, marys face smiling right back at you. "you're up! why didn't you call me?" mary frowned and you smiled at the small pout on her lips.

"you said you were going to watch a movie with some of the girls babe, and i called you a few hours ago when i was making dinner." you laughed as her pout deepened. "but we're both awake now so why weren't we talking." she argued with a huff.

"would you like to check our messages thread to see who the last one to reply was?" you teased with a chuckle, marys eyes widening as she clicked out of the facetime. "hey it was you! don't make me worry like that." her face popped back up now with a scowl.

"how was your evening with the girls baby? tell me about it." you requested, adjusting your position and resting your phone against the pillow which was normally mary's, laying down a little more.

"mm well we actually had a games night instead! you remember the rec room from when you last visited right?" mary checked as you hummed with a small nod, sarina allowing the girls a few friends and families days during the world cup camp at SGP.

"so they split us up into teams and of course i got stuck with little miss can't take a loss toone." mary rolled her eyes making you laugh at the mention of your very stubborn friend as mary rattled off the rest of her team.

"first up was blackjack. crushed it!" mary paused to brush some imaginary dirt off her shoulders cockily as you smiled, eyes starting to feel just a little more heavy, comforted by the familiar sound of your girlfriends voice.

"ugh then we played twister...that got messy!" mary whistled with a wince, recalling how half the girls had wound up in a crumpled heap on the floor, poor hempo crushed beneath them.

"love you look shattered." mary stopped her story as she paused to look at you, eyes half closed as they suddenly snapped back awake. "m'fine baby, keep going." you waved for her to continue, moving to prop your head up on your hand.

"then we played jenga and tooney got us disqualified for cheating!" mary scoffed with a roll of her eyes. "what did she do?" you chuckled, eyes drooping for a moment before you exhaled and shook your head.

"kicked the table 'subtly' and knocked the whole tower over, rach tackled her to the ground and smacked her round cause she was winning." mary smiled in amusement, mostly at the fact you were half asleep than the story she was telling.

"well then we played darts." mary again winced, peaking your curiosity despite your fast fading state.

"less accidentally hit gracie with a dart, she threw one back and hit niamh, niamh tried to go after her and stepped on a dart dropped by maya and well...it sort of became a free for all acupuncture session until the staff stepped in and shut everything down." mary recounted grimacing and rubbing her arm where even she'd copped a few pricks.

"sounds more like a girls trip than a work camp." you teased sleepily, slurring your words slightly making your girlfriend smile adoringly. "baby go to sleep. you're beautiful and i love you very much but you are exhausted!" mary spoke softly as your head suddenly dropped, your hand giving out as you perked up again.

"no no i just dozed off babe keep talking. what's on your training agenda for tomorrow?" you sighed, firmly in denial despite your eyes still slotting closed again. you hummed as mary began to recount her schedule for her tomorrow, watching on with a soft lovesick smile as your breathing evened out and you eventually stopped responding all together, dead asleep.

"goodnight my beautiful stubborn girl." mary chuckled with a playful roll of her eyes reaching out to hang up, finger hesitating by the screen. dropping her hand she smiled, flicking off the lamp and moving her phone to the other pillow, settling into bed and kissing her fingers, pressing them against the screen as her own eyes slotted closed, the two of you falling asleep together despite being miles apart.

🎰Who could blame you for getting a crush on a Cog as goofy as Buck? He was so silly he could've very well been a toon!

🎰You hung out with him a lot before deciding to confess to him. To your surprise, he got to it first by confessing to you over a game of blackjack {you'd decided that the loser would have to share an embarrassing secret}. You told Buck you'd been planning to lose to the game so you could confess, but somehow his luck had managed to be worse than yours!

🎰And that's how you two started dating...

🎰Buck is a sloppy kisser. Expect him to also end up licking you because his tongue is too long to comfortably stay in his mouth.

🎰He LOVES to have either you or him spin his slots to see what'll happen next {cuddles, kissing, playing games together, ETC}.

🎰Buck also secretly likes it when you sneak up on him to spin his slots. Do it frequently.

🎰Try not to leave him unsupervised in your estate for a long period of time. You might come back to find the place a complete wreck and Buck's explanation will be something like, "I wanted to make you a githt but I couldn't get the thtupid crayonths to color in the lineth!" and then he will hold up a poorly drawn picture of you and him cuddling. It's not an explanation for how he wrecked the place, but at least he tried to do something cute.

🎰Anything that has to do with luck or completely unannounced gifts really make him happy. The more unpredictable and random whatever you're doing is, the more he will enjoy it.

🎰Buck has a pet duck named Buck Jr., and when you visit his house you get to meet Buck Jr. and maybe even pick him up. He is a very cute and polite duck, be kind to him.

🎰Buck will also let you give bread to Buck Jr., but not too much bread to keep his ducky healthy! {Bread has very little nutritional value and if their tummy is full of bread they won't look for foods they need for nutrients, so it's only a little treat for Buck Jr.}

🎰Buck will want to attempt to cook for you sometimes because he thinks he'll get lucky enough for it to actually work this time. Do not let him unless you want to watch someone's house burn down!

🎰Take him out to random dates frequently... if he's not already dragging you off somewhere. And I do mean random, he loves going somewhere he's never been before- especially with you! At least if neither of you like it, you have each other's company to still enjoy and that's a win for him.

🎰Buck will also frequently gamble, but he's like... suspiciously good at winning. He pretty much always manages to get a net profit by the end of the night- usually a large one, too. He just says he has a lot of good luck when asked about it and spends a lot of his winnings on gifts for you.

🎰He makes no effort to hide his relationship with you from his coworkers or even your fellow toons. Getting fired? Being judged? He doesn't care! You're not allowed to fight Buck anymore because the Toon Resistance caught wind of your relationship and your loyalty to the toons is periodically questioned. Some toons will admit to you that they have a crush on a particular Cog, though, and ask you for advice on pursuing them.

🎰Dating Buck is a lot of randomness and sporadically doing things, so be prepared to have one heck of a ride! But things are never boring while you're dating him, that's for sure.

Peyton Diesel (Level 5 exe. Con Artist)

Enjoys selling foraged artwork and NFTs on the free market like the true cryptobro he is. He even has the personality of one (help us all). Has shares related to several advertising companies producing propaganda that encourages capitalistic ideals and fighting against toons to ensure C.O.G.S. Inc. prospers.

Wears a black, front-facing cap with the words, “Cogsupeme” on the front panel. Lacks any trace of facial hair.

Pat Tannum (Level 6 exe. Connoisseur)

Snobby and rude to anyone of the lower class. They own rare luxuries that’s been harvesting from really shady sources (poaching, illegal mining, etc.). Owns a company that’s dedicated to destroying vast acres of land within Toontown to harvest as much valuable metals and minerals as possible.

Dons a top hat made from the a rare species of bearacuda and has a curled up mustache.

Dubiel Ornutheen (Level 7 exe. Swindler)

She gets a kick out of gambling some of a company’s assets on games like poker and blackjack to spend it all on digital items on their freenium mobile games. Has shares in a major casino brand and a game company that is big on microtransactions and loot boxes.

Wears a pair of black, leather gloves always and has a short, wavy mustache.

Endre Mediary (Level 8 exe. Middleman)

Thinks every cog is just as gullible and stupid as a toon. He creates the perfect scam by hoarding a variety of essential items to create an artificial shortage to where buyers will resort to pay a high distribution fee. Owns shares in his distribution business and a line of semitrucks dedicated to importing and exporting.

Wears a black, trilby hat with one face on each side that won’t stop smiling even if they’re angry.

Nero Tolson (Level 9 exe. Toxic Manager)

They’re a big lover of all things pollution and the suffering of others (toons and cogs alike) while also consuming heaping doses of dangerous liquids. Helps to fund the production of highly toxic chemicals, nuclear power plants, and science experiments that have dubious practices involved.

Has two different sets of heads they like to change into. One is the default, toxic waste container head while the other is a skull model with green, shiny optics.

Anno Speer (Level 12 exe. Magnate)

She claims to have ownership of the entire sky and will do anything to destroy its pristine condition for expansion and profit. Oversees a large portion of the aviation that occurs within C.O.G.S. Inc along with plans to develop airborne sectors for economic and transport purposes.

Head resembles that of the common black hawk.

Casper Junit (Level 15 exe. Big Fish)

He lives large and in charge of depleting the local waters of every single creature and resource deep within. Owns a commercial fishing and offshore fracking company that already has several, working facilities across Barnacle Boatyard.

Has the head of an Atlantic bluefin tuna with muted colors.

Conn Truckshone (Level 20 exe. Head Honcho)

Is the main overseer of the entire board group and rules with fists made of high-grade titanium. Owns a company dedicated to building and maintaining infrastructure across various regions outside of Toontown.

Entire body is made out of high-grade metals with a shiny, chrome head to boot.

the deal with toon shader!! or rather... my deal with toon shader

i for one really like toon shader and never quite understood why people hated it? a lot of people talk down on megamix because of the pv quality but... other project diva games were made for consoles like the ps4, which has significantly more advanced graphics than the switch’s small screen. obviously megamix is gonna have less advanced graphics and pvs because the switch isn’t built to run 4k/1080p 60 fps music videos

and also, while i really like toon shader, i don’t think it fits every pv as well as it fits others. in songs like nekomimi switch, clover club, electric angel, age age again, hand in hand, and alien alien (etc) it gives the videos that soft cartoony vibe that don’t oversaturate the characters and adds a nice cartoon touch

and there’s also the pvs like negaposi continues, two faced lovers and interviewer that have utilized toon shader in other project diva games to get the cartoon affect that fits with the style of the video. although songs like systematic love didn’t have it originally i think the style of toon shader fits the video well

but i also think that there’s some songs that definitely look better without toon shader. songs like gigantic girl, freely tomorrow, blackjack, summer idol, sekiranun grafitti, decorator and cendrillon (among many others) rely on either very bright light sources and/or natural light sources that toon shader oversaturates and makes too bright which just drowns out the characters and doesn’t look very good

and that’s really all i have to say... BE NICE TO TOON SHADER‼️‼️‼️

Yugioh double feature

Ever since i was a kid I've always loved card games, from blackjack to magic the gathering and i still do. Yugioh was always a favorite of mine and while i dipped out of it every once in a while i always find my way back to it before long. Yugioh is huge and the only thing konami still produces thats worth a damn. the first movie came at the height of my interest in it and i went to see it in theaters. i loved it as a kid but is it the same as good as when i was a kid? No, this movie isnt as amazing as i remember it, but its still really great! though its aged and it has the one thing that the yugioh anime suffered from early on. cheating fuckers. like seriously i understand why the big bad doesnt follow the rules but for real kaiba cheats so fucking hard and Yugi/atem just goes along with it, THEN HE CHEATS! but honestly the duel is really good and is the meat of the entire film, strangely there isn't much else to the movie, theres the basic set up and a short duel with Pegasus which was fun and gave us toon dark magician girl and she’s adorable. the movie is really short, only about an hour and some change. So what happens, well yugi is now the new hot thing after beating kaiba on the world stage. and gets hunted by a duel mob. leading to him hiding in a museum, where he learns about the curse of anubis, someone who the spirit within yugi’s puzzle has defeated before. kaiba meanwhile is obsessing over defeating yugi’s egyptian god cards and goes to Pegasus the creator to find a way. pegasus, who actually does have a way, refuses to give it to him unless he wins a duel (its a very kaiba card too) unbeknownst to him anubis’s spirit puts a card in with the super special awesome card in order to help his plan to beat the spirit of the puzzle. after winning his duel kaiba takes the cards and pretty much kidnaps yugi in order to reclaim his title. shortly after the start of the duel he forces Yugi to call out all three god cards (which cant be special summoned like that) but then he plays pyramid of light which has the text “destroy god cards.” which. kaiba that is the first red flag you shoulda gotten from that card no card is that weirdly worded. throughout the duel after this every time they lose life points they lose energy. meanwhile yugi and his friends get stuck in the puzzle thanks to the pyramid of light and get chased by mummies. eventually we get to see the actual card pegasus made. the amazing, absolutely gorgeous Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. This monster, while incredibly hard to get out. is my favorite looking monster. so kaiba tries to destroy his pyramid cause... hes got a plan. but it doesnt work and he gets knocked out by anubis, who is freaking BUFF. after yugi beats him and his pyramid cause yugi manages to kill the thing infesting the puzzle anubis turns into this sick nasty monster which i think actually became a card later on. making monsters and cards real so what does our hero do. bring out blue eyes shining again to kill the dude for good! and it pretty much wraps up from there.. i love this movie. but uh, i need to make this a double post as this is really long so continue to the new movie in part 2

something I wrote with my two fallout oc’s Kola and Free if they ended up in the studio. takes place during chapter 3  

          Kola doubled over panting trying to catch her breath while Free did her best to hold the door close against whatever the hell just chased them into this room. She listened along with the older girl before the banging finally stopped leaving the two in silence. Neither moved but just held their breath for a moment after not hearing anything both gave a sigh of relief taking a moment to laugh a bit at what just happened. Only to stop when they heard the sound of something getting kicked and looked to see a can rolling into view. Both getting into a stance that showed they were ready to fight if they had two “okay c-come out we k-know your t-there!” Kola said trying to make her voice firm. Before what looked to be a toon wolf who looked to be like the one they had seen back on the upper floor. It really surprised them to see it alive all the way down here on the second floor and alive now but before either could ask it stopped them. Only signaling them to follow and having no other choice both did figuring it was better than nothing and being out in the open wasn’t a good idea either. So they both followed him as they were lead through the halls the studio before both entered a room that looked around a bit seeing it was an okay size not too big but not too small either. It had a stove and nearby a table with two chairs set across from each other around the corner there looked to be a hammock set up as a sleeping place, a few posters covered a wall nearby. Before Boris shut the door behind him and indicating around as if to say that his home was their home now too so they could do as they pleased. The two looked at each other  Free just giving a shrug while Kola looked at the toon wolf for a moment suspicion.  But gave the other the benefit of the doubt for now as she went and laid down in the hammock and Free sat down at the table across from the toon. Deciding she’d play some cards with him offering to teach him how to play caravan and maybe some blackjack. 

          Some time had passed mostly them just resting in the saferoom or playing some cards causing Kola to become restless and a bit agitated. Free was too getting a bit bored with being stuck in one room so they decided it was time to go before the younger did something rash. So after talking to the toon wolf and making him some soup and giving him a bone the three finally left after getting the tools they left. The three made their way down the hall coming to a door causing Boris to take the flashlight from Free as he went through the vents. The two waiting for him to open the door for them putting the two a bit on edge as they waited before the other finally got it open before they continued on. Only to be stopped by another door that had to be opened by two levers giving a sigh Kola volunteered to get the switch down the hall near a poster while Free and Boris would get the other. The three split up for a moment two of them going one direction while Kola went in another. Walking up slowly she felt something was off causing her to pull out a metal pipe holding on to it tightly as she got closer and closer before something popped out. Causing the young girl to jump back in response taking a swing at the strange creature hitting it a few times before it finally fell dead. Kola took a moment to watch her breath shaking grip still tight on her weapon muttering “g-go fuck y-yourself” before she pulled the lever nearby. She made her way back to Free and Boris still holding the ink-covered pipe something that didn’t go unnoticed by Free. Making the younger female explain what had happened showing she didn’t want to talk about it and the other wasn’t gonna make her. 

           Continuing on they kept on walking before the two entered a room where they heard a female voice singing making the two look at each other confused. Then back as they walked further in before the light came on in what looked to be a recording room a figure popped up. It looked to be a female who screamed out “I’M ALICE ANGEL!”  making the two jumped causing Kola to swear before the malformed toon female looked at them glaring. Before she gave another scream slamming her fist against the glass and everything went dark as her laughter was soon heard. The lights came back on showing the now broken glass but no sign of whoever that strange toon woman was but the two decided to not let their guard down. Quickly leaving the two came to the elevator where Boris was waiting for them as they got on a female voice came on talking to them as the elevator door closed and started to go down. Before it finally stopped as they moved to get out Boris quickly moved past them making Kola and Free look at each other before the older called after the toon wolf. Following the two had to jog to keep up with him before they came to a room and both froze seeing what the other was looking at. All around were corpses of Boris clones their hearts missing the voice of the woman came on saying “it took so many to make me perfect,” causing Kola to look at Free and roll her eyes. Free in response twirled her finger near her head to show that even she thought whoever this woman was had to be crazy but stopped when she started to talk again. Alice went on and on about what she should do to them from tearing them apart to a bunch of other things before finishing with “Go back to the elevator my little errand girls, we have work to do” she said before Free turned and left the room but Kola stayed put as she looked at the malformed Alice. This caused her to raise an eyebrow in response to this “well what are you waiting for get moving” tone showing a bit annoyance at the others rudeness only for Kola to hold a hand up to stop her. Kola crossed her arms in response “okay w-we will do as you need but I w-want to get s-something straight with you r-right here right now. I-If you think of pulling any bullshit or t-think of betraying us I’ll b-blast your ass s-so far through your h-head it’ll turn the r-roof of this place m-more inky than it a-already is” she tells her. Before she turned and left not giving the other a chance to respond to what she said showing she was not only being serious but wasn’t gonna debate it with whomever this crazy bitch was. 

        Entering the elevator where Free and Boris were waiting for her the older girl leaning against the wall as she walked in. The doors closing behind her as they rode down getting to work on their task doing a lot of running until it was time to leave. As they started to go up the voice of Alice came on over the speaker telling them how sad she was for them to leave. Free looked confused and Kola just rolled her eyes before they heard the woman laughed causing them to look at each other as the woman screamed out “GIVE ME BACK MY BROIS!” as the elevator suddenly dropped. As they fell Boris cowered in the corner while Free tried to comfort the toon and Kola swore up a storm before finally they hit the bottom. Kola kept going in and out of consciousness now and then seeing Boris trying to shake her awake nearby Free was passed out arm bent at an odd angle bleeding from her head. She saw Alice behind the toon wolf and went to warn him but was too late as Boris was grabbed by the other toon and dragged off before the young girl passed out.

So, we've talked alot about how Bendy feels about Buddy(and i loved it), can we go a little more in dept about how Bendy and the other toons feel about Henry?

Henry Pre- or Post-Toonification? Ahh, what the hell, I’ll go with both:

When they were first brought into the world, the toons weren’t sure what to make of Henry. He was a rather quiet man, kept mostly to himself and his work. Hardly even left his desk, even during the lunch hour. Joey kept him working long shifts, and only let him go home during crunch time (which was ALL THE TIME) if fatigue made his work suffer.

As a result, Henry would often be the last one in the studio. Wally had to get him a spare key to lock up once he got tired of waiting for him. Restless, curious, and without much else to do in the otherwise empty studio, this led the Toons to do some investigating on this reclusive, caffeine-addicted animator.

They learned Bendy was originally Henry’s creation, as were an endless number of things that made up their memories, their lives. Both good and bad. Henry tell told them stories about all the trouble he and Joey went to to get the studio building, what a pain it was getting Bendy’s final design approved by Joey, all the crazy ways Henry SOMEHOW met Deadline after Deadline.

Needless to say, the Toons got attached to him pretty quickly.

Alice thought of him as one would a university professor, impressed by his knowledge of all things Toony, but always questioning him why he became an animator if he butted heads with the higher ups so much. She greatly admired the endless well of patience Henry always seemed to have.

Boris thought of him as a good friend, trustworthy and hardworking. He was always the first one to suggest that Henry take a break when stress got too overwhelming, solving it with a quick game of Blackjack or Go Fish. Henry took to giving him pats on the head, something the other office workers were too skittish to attempt with a live wolf, toon or otherwise.

Bendy… saw Henry as a patsy. At first. Always left to do the babysitting when Mr. Drew was too busy with his head in the clouds to deal with the hard work. He loved to torment Henry with petty pranks and none stop joked, mostly because Henry always let him get away with it. Until one day, when one particular prank got out of hand and ruined quite a bit of Henry’s boards. Joey got furious with Bendy, only for Henry to step in his stead and take the blame. Bendy never pranked Henry again after that. And over time, the less respect and admiration that Bendy had for Joey, the more Henry garnered in Bendy’s eyes.

Cut forward 30+ years later…

You know that feeling you get as a kid, where you grow up thinking nothing bad could ever happen to adults? They know everything, they can do anything, they’re indomitable superheroes. And then you grow up, and you learn how flawed they are? How much weaker they look? How they don’t smile like they used to or how their hands shake over the simplest things?

That’s kinda the position the Toons are in. Henry used to be Their Rock. Something the Toons could always count on the Save The Day, whether it was with Joey or simply keeping them in high spirits after hours.

And now look at him. He’s barely even there half the time, and he’s been through so much trauma that it’s a role of the dice how he’s going to act when he IS around.

Alice now thinks of him as an old scholar with Alzheimer’s. She can’t help but feel sad at the Loss of what Henry used to be, even when he’s in the same room as her. She tries not to act that way around Buddy, but it’s hard to forget.

Boris tries not to act like much has changed, but he can’t help but feel useless when he can’t cheer Henry up. Buddy’s no problem, just a simple hug or a game of fetch and the little fella is as happy as a clam, but Henry is much slower to healing than Buddy is after the events of the studio. Sometimes, all Boris can do is let Henry pat his head and then leave him be.

Bendy missed Henry. He missed him so, so much after he ran away, that he’s just thankful any part of Henry is alive at all. He knows that Henry’s been hurt so badly by what happened, but he tries his hardest to make it up, mostly by just sitting with Henry and telling him stories about what happened to him while he lived life as a vagabond (not unlike how Henry used to tell the Toons stories). He’s also the first to step in and dissolve conflicts between Buddy and Henry. He can’t let the 2 souls fall apart… he can’t bare to lose either of them, Buddy or Henry. Not again.
