It's implied she may have a variation such as Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (CAIS), due to her fixation on eggs—especially fertilized eggs—because of the fact her gonads were nonconsensually removed during infancy, which is all-too common in individuals with CAIS due to the (arguably false) belief the testes will have a high chance of cancer.
