anyways dreamwave's transformers: generation 1 (2004) issue #7 is absolutely peak rep of jazz, sunstreaker, & sideswipe and if you haven't read it you're missing out

i feel like the fandom doesn't really appreciate how much it draws its characterization from the dreamwave comics

Was bored and decided to redraw an old (cybertronian) Bumblebee design for a project. Original version below.

Mostly based on this design from *Dreamwave (*I'm pretty sure, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

I am going to be blunt. I want to RP but there are a few things you should know.

I want to ship my muse Singularity aka @whereseekersfeartotread with a cannon muse/character from Transformers G1, Dreamwave, or IDW canon.

I will not go hunting for RP partners any more. Every time I do, I overstep my bounds and fuck up everything. I admit this and take responsibility for not following people I want to RP with. From now on I will have people come to me first and talk to me about RPing with me. I don't trust myself interacting and making the first move with others. I been burned to many damn times.

I do RP smut, but more romance than anything, but I don't mind a mix of slice-of-life, gothic horror, gothic romance, cosmic horror, crack, erotic romance, erotic horror, and psychological horror.

I can't RP male characters or LBGTQ+ characters because they will become overly camp and insultingly stereotypical. And I respect the LBGTQ+ community to much to insult them like that.

I also can't RP canon characters without them ending up OOC. I can write canon and male characters just find because I write my fics in 3rd person POV. But when I RP I write mostly in a 1st person POV with some 3rd person POV to help the RP along.

As mentioned in #4 and #5 my muses are always female and hetero. Don't like it, don't interact, don't follow.

I don't mind RPing with other OCs, just I am picky when it comes to my RP needs when it comes to RPing romances and I feel safer interacting with a character that is canon in a romantic sense since I know the material and got to know the canon characters well over the years.

If you RP multiple characters, especially those that I listed below, I am all for multishipping and love triangles and other love shapes. I am a sucker for the classic a group of guys fighting over the same girl trope where cockblocking abounds, especially in crack RPs.

My muse is a multiship blog. All relationships are AUs unless you are the Mun fall under #8. Then that is up to you.

Some of these things have been shown somewhat.

I couldn't find the third scenario you suggested about Maccadam's so here's Huffer instead since his whole character revolves around being homesick:

something that i feel gets pretty under explored in transformers canon is their homesickness.

i mean, yeah, we hear them talk about it. we hear their plans to go back home, talking about how things are different from cybertron, but i don't think we ever see it fully sink in for them that yeah, this planet isn't cybertron. we don't see starscream watching the skies in moments of peace, wings twitching in anticipation, wishing he could fly freely the way he did back in vos. we don't see ratchet trying to find the right medical equipment for his team, only for earth's tools to be so primitive in comparison. we don't see mirage or jazz or cliffjumper getting together in a secluded part of the ark to share drinks, trying to act like they're back at maccadam's. hell, the only time i remember seeing this sort of sinking realization was in skybound with optimus learning how fragile human life is.

we don't see them truly longing for home, and i think that would be beautiful in a somber way to explore that.

Dreamwave character profiles, I've already posted about Starscream and Megatrons but here are some notable ones, they take inspiration from the G1 cartoon production bible which I think is pretty cool

Skywarp having an 'autistic creativity', that's kinda funny considering the whole transformers fan base but you can definitely tell these were made in 2003

Here is Thundercracker, who's relationship with Megatron I wish was explored more, he really is fanon Starscream

Soundwave, I really like his characterization here, with Starscream being not the only treacherous one in the top ranks and actually bringing up how he's still you know, evil. But I do wonder how the conversation with Starscream and Megatron went? "Megatron, Soundwave is a traitor and you should totally belive me"

Shockwave, entry written by Starscream, he has a lot to say about the top 4 ranked Decepticons! Look at him clocking Shockwaves ego, although tbh all 4 of them have huge egos lmao Starscreams just the most open about it

Ratchet!! I'm glad they had Optimus write for his bio, it's sweet, also party ambulance mentioned!!!

Bumblebeeee, also written about by Optimus! Awww he knows that Bumblebee looks up to him and Prowl, cute!

Optimus Primes entry was written by Ironhide! Man it would be really funny if Ironhide also brought up Abraham Lincoln like the production bible does

Jetfire, who is specifically targeted by Starscream, both he and Wheeljack are using their untested inventions 😭 it is cute how he's on earth more then cybertron now, ig there's more things for him to research here

Transformers fans - might I suggest something?

When you're doing a TFP version of Elita One, could you draw her with more rounded features?

The thing is, Arcee is spiky and pointed because it reflects her personality: snarly, dangerous, and an outer shell that says "stay away". Like a porcupine except, well, deadlier.

Elita is a very feminine and loving figure. She's the team mom to Optimus' team dad, so giving her a more round, openly warm appearance would help reflect that.

She can still be a recognizably feminine character.

Take Optimus for example: he's obviously a male, and has a kind of square-ish body, but the corners are soft and worn down. Think something like that for Elita, and it'll be grand.

-*laughs in prowl* back in 2022 at TFCon Chicago the last panel of the con was IDW artists talking about the art experience, and someone asked how they draw the bots doing things or something like that, and Alex Milne said more or less 'well we have to use visual tricks of perception, for example Prowl's bosom on the toy would keep him from crossing his arms so you have to change the angle of things to make it work'

-Transformers is such a different world when it comes to gender and anatomy because Arcee can usually cross her arms across her chest just fine including IDW1 and Terminator Arcees who have the most protruding chest except for Q-Transformers Arcee whose torso is the chest basically but all the Q-Transformer cars are like that. Her girlfriend Aileron who is chubby and buff can cross her arms fine. Meanwhile on the other hand the average car Prowl (canonically a guy so far) with lanky big ankle proportions except for his massive and broad chest cannot do that. want to show this in toy form someday when we get an official or unlicensed aileron toy (our close to proportion accurate Aileron custom can't twist her arms sadly)
