THOHIV may be my favorite THOH of all, if only for artistic direction (artistic direction of all of first 5 seasons is gorgeous, of course). And not just THOHs back then were on point in parodying horror tropes (and some of absurdity of it), the stories also feel conceivable as something the characters would concoct on their own. Well, maybe, Bart has made up all of it alone, but he appears to be observant about his family’s psychologic aspects. Naturally, Homer is going to imagine his flawless, religious neighborino as the Devil himself, and his frightening boss as a bloodsucker. And the road to school for Bart definitely would feel like the path to some impending doom about to dawn on him.

"The Devil and Homer Simpson" is my favorite short segment of THOH, probably. Not just the story unexpectedly concludes with heartwarming sentiment of Homer’s soul being permanently owned by Marge (aww), it doesn’t end here, but offers not one, but three gags to cap the thing on: Homer’s punishment of being turned into donut creature, him apparently having learned nothing from it and processing to consume his own self (in his defense, it may be hard to learn any lesson when your head is filled with dough), and the house being besieged by police force under premise of simply craving some donut… creature, the end here. (I guess, there is some moral about rationality of law and order in the human and underworld, but maybe there’s not.)

Anyway, I think, it’s appropriate to put Donut Homer together with all these feisty monsters, for his gluttony is, perhaps, scariest thing of all. And I assume, it’s what Bart would do too.

Heya, what do you think of AM (Allied Mastercomputer)? Listening to his voice on the audiobook and gameplay rlly stirs me good. Apparently it's the author's voice because it's how he envision AM to sound like. What would he be like with a certain/favorite fem reader?

I’ve read the short story before! *checks out the game on YouTube* Huh. Harlan Ellison sounds distinct, but much more basic than I imagined AM would sound. Going to listen to the audiobook now.

IVE SEEN A LOR OF PEOPLE ON TIKTOK LATELY HATING ON BURNSMITHERS AND THEIR REASON IS

(someone let me know if that bs is like stated in a new episode but it definitely isnt in the old seasons!!)

THE ONLY TIMES MR BURNS IS WITH BABY SMITHERS IS

1. When smithers dad sacrifices himself, mr burns holds baby smithers as he does so (holding a baby isnt a legally binding contract to raise that baby btw guys!!)

2. Theres a screenshot of him and kid smithers walking in the background of a episode, FROM A TREEHOUSE OF HORROR! (THOSE EPISODES ARE NOT CANON. IF THEY WERE THE ENTIRE SIMPSONS FAMILY WOULD BE DEAD 💀💀💀).

Also not to mention thats a really odd thing to lie about being canon? Considering the fact that smithers is (CANONICALLY) inlove with Mr burns... Like so according to *those* people smithers is like a incestuous freak inlove with his practically adoptive father? I dont think so !!!

a mutual asked me this yesterday since i mentioned ive been watching a ton of simpsons lately so i wanted to ask you too - what are you fav simpsons episodes?:) also whos your fav character(s)?

AHHH my notifications have been flooded recently i didn't see this!!! my favorite episode is the springfield files, but some of my other favorites include hurricane neddy, the mysterious voyage of homer, (... we watched the season 8 DVD a lot), treehouse of horror vi & vii, the president wore pearls, and HOMR. i've been watching the show ever since i was a baby and these episodes in particular have a lot of personal/family significance for me, being ones we watched repeatedly or being my parents' favorites. i'm also particularly fond of the episodes brother from the same planet and a milhouse divided, but i love just about every simpsons episode!

my favorite characters are maggie and mr pinchy. i like the whole rest of simpsons family equally and i usually find moe pretty funny when he's being grumpy and shady but i don't really like most of the serious stories they try with him, it's hard to make it work. who are your favorite characters? :)
