well...... i can't fully explain rot without spoilers, but it's not quite dead!

my assumption is that the rot is some spring-off of a healing mechanism gone awry (sort of like cancer) so it's possible it could actually make it worse!

the healing thing is part of why I gave The Arachnid rot; i assume that Chosen and SC would have had advanced healing due to the blueprint's initial purpose as a bone supplier!

Arachnid just was unfortunate enough to have their genetic coding interrupted.

HOWEVER, rot would NOT be able to survive in cold (or possibly dry) environments, so thankfully it CAN be killed. Only problem is that cold means.... REALLY cold.
