I have a few questions for your Stars of a Feather au:

1) Are there any rare color combinations that people can have on their wings?

2) Can someone be born with like a genetic mutation like having one extra, or one less, wing (like having 3 wings, 5, or heck even just one wing?)

3) Can we see what colors Sun and Moon’s wings are? (And maybe Y/N’s?) ((what did Moon’s wings look like before they were damaged anywho??))

Haii omigorsh!! Tysm for asking about Stars of a Feather, I'd love to draw out some of these answers but I'm currently not able to ^^ (I'll prolly reblog this later with some doodles tho!) 1) For the most part, I've primarily only thought abt white/black wings. But I would definitely consider the idea that someone could have some unique wings, like iridescent ones like a rooster's tail! 2) Yes! In this world, the amount of wings you have is considered a sort of "hierarchy". The less and weaker wings you have, the more you might be looked down upon. This hierarchy isn't insanely crushing, mostly just More Wings = Cooler. So having an extra wing or two is possible, such as one wing on the hind like a tail, one on the head or just one on the back etc. 3) Sun's wings, as far as I've thought of for now, a white with an undertone of yellow! All of them are this way. Moon's wings are black, and seemingly crumbled up. It is believed that Moon's wings used to be white too... 👀 Y/Ns wings are white, but kind of whatever you want them to be ^^

🎀 how do you decide when something is done?

no joke it's usually when im too sick of looking at it to keep it any longer and that is a deliberate choice by me. my perfectionism is literally disabling so ive really been training myself to, like, once i hit a point with a work that i think of as 'saturation' where i realise im no longer making any meaningful changes to it and instead im just reading it over and over being dissatisfied, i just swallow the discomfort and force myself to put it out there. in this way the sharing becomes not even really the end goal, it's more like a tool i use to demarcate the end of a process that i know will only stretch into perpetuity and hurt me. im like, it's out there, to an extent it is finalised (i know i can edit it still but ykwim), it's done, i am both giving myself permission and forcing myself to stop turning it over now. the end. i will be at peace with my creation i have no choice

🌅 do you typically known the ending to something before you start writing it?

the short answer is no and the long answer is literally almost never. there have been some very rare occasions where i wrote something wanting to reach a particular point, but for the most part my writing experience is that a premise or even a single line flies directly into my skull and bounces around in there until i start fleshing it out. i tend to find my writing suffers or even just peters out if i try to outline... although this is something i am trying to get better at especially if i want to write more longform stuff for which structure is a lot more necessary... but for oneshots in particular i have recently been basically doing a thing (as part of my Writing For Fun, Remember Fun? campaign @ myself in my own brain) where i just start writing and just keep going and somewhere around the middle i conceive of what could potentially be an ending and then from that point i write towards it.

frankly even for longfic i rarely know the end. i started writing palacefic in 2019 and only really figured out how it was going to end like, last year or this year? that initial outline was super detailed for the first few chapters but it ended around what is now about chapter 7 or 8. i am really myopic when it comes to plotting. it's not that i didn't want to see the ending, i genuinely just can't see past a certain point. again this is something id like to get better at just for skill building because this is not an approach that would work for every project -- however i honestly do enjoy writing this way and i also like the work i have created this way... all my published death note fic for example is like this

🍮: what's something you do that always makes your f/o smile, and/or vice versa?

this is so simple but he loves when i spoil him. compliments, washing his hair in the shower, making him breakfast, etc. it really touches him. he does also love to see my goofy side and will smile like an idiot if i'm dancing stupidly in the kitchen or making little noises to myself when i'm bored.

kakucho makes me smile when he puts his tough guy facade aside and gets clingy and cuddly like a big bear. also, yknow that scene where takemichi calls him a liar for pretending to lose and he gets all offended and is like "huh?! i'm really strong!!" yeah i love to fake offend him bc it's very funny and silly to see him get all defensive and pouty LOL its very cute to me.

🍩: what are some irl things that remind you of your f/o?

big scary guard dogs. specifically dobermans...so elegant and beautiful and strong. also any time i'm having a warm beverage like a cup of coffee in the morning or afternoon tea i'm like yeah. this is kakucho vibes. the smell of bergamot and pine, too.

1: well first of all I love her. But she is a difficult character to write because she is just wildly different from me. Her issues(including being dehumanized, control problems, physical/mental disabilities, social problems) just mesh weirdly for her. combine that with her coded in "gotta be capricious and unpredictable"-ness that she doesnt have a choice over(magic is weird in her world and has a lot of control over its users personality and actions) makes her super hard to write. but i love her sooooo much and i would die for her

2: she doesn't have a romance with a main character, but she does have a romance with Brigit, a side character(wind fairy), who is technically spying on her and trying to get her to join a side in the war going on. The romance doesnt. end well. brigit ends up dying, and i dont think ill ever write something else for her. though she does fall in love really easily and has had a crush on all the other main characters(Aurtaral, Fesi, Senatha) at some point

3: Aurtaral. Theyre complete opposites, theyre childhood friends, theyre kinda the "only one who can defeat you" trope, theyre estranged, theyre really lonely and just desperately want their friend back but they dont understand the choices the other makes and dont think the other has their best interest at heart. it just reallly makes me wanna hug them both

4: idk how i could have an unpopular opinion on her because noone knows about her

5: i wish canon would write itself so i wouldnt have to

I think Bab's ability to pull objects out of time and Sophie's amulet are kind of similar. Like they both can pause time, but Sophie can pause it for everything whereas Bab's stops it for only one person. I wonder if their powers are connected in some way?

Ohhh I am curious about Oldie's power actually! It seems like a really cool (and scary) power to have. I wonder if Oldie has ever rearranged the order of panels after the first time he was shown doing it? It seems very very OP and honestly I love that for Oldie.

For general things I am so normal about Tomo (if you couldn't tell sjsndnsn). I love him, he's just like me frrrrrrrrrrr

30. Describe how one character would cheer the other up after a hard day.

Pluto would make a short show of sympathy/compassion, and then move on to trying to figure out how to "correct" their mood.

If someone was bugging them, Pluto will advice them on how to deal with the person or go deal with them themself. If their Moon worked too hard, they will give them aspirin, give them a massage that includes some old techniques for relaxing nerves.

If Pluto can't figure out whats wrong... well, they will consult the deep arcane energies of earth, etc etc. Their Moon tries to avoid letting things get that bad, though.

Their Moon doesn't get to cheer Pluto up that often, as Pluto is very good at feigning being fine at all times. They already in general try to do a lot of small things for Pluto, but they only do it more when they seem stressed.

Changing their sheets when they're sweaty from Pluto tossing and turning from nightmares. Refilling their liqourice tin while their coat is on the hanger. Filling out survey papers so they don't have to deal with sitting down doing all of it.

72. If someone flirted with or showed an interest in their S/O, how would the other react?

Oh, Plutos Moon would be... woof. Do not flirt with Pluto in front of them. You might be in mortal danger.

They wear such clothes that you cannot see their eyes, but you will FEEL them staring you down, their breath icy at your neck from 10 meters away. They don't realize how obvious they're being, but many people in town giggle about their moody reactionsn when someone makes a move on Pluto.

Mortal danger is an exaccaration, their Moon is... quite harmless to others in that way, but they will definetly turn hostile in nature and they will become very biast against you and look for any reason to hate you.

They can't help it! It makes their organs form incomprihencible knots, their joints freeze and ache and their heart beat tackier.

I'm having a slightly tough time figuring out what Pluto would think, actually. I think it would be annoyment from other reasonings than jealosy, but.. with a tinge of it hiding behind.

They're not romantically drawn to their Moon as their moon is to them (which , to be fair, doesn't say much, as their Moons level if attachment is hyperviolent, and Plutos is more on a normal level, though very hidden) so the reaction wouldn't be as strong.

They feign openness to their Moon dating, but every time there has been an inkling of such a thing being a possibility, they sneer and claim that "this relationship would really get in the way of what we have been working on here for you" or "maybe it's not quite the time for them to date yet, they have quite a lot they still need to work on".

73. Who knows the other better? Why is this?

They stand on fairly equal ground here.

Pluto sees their Moon through a rational lense of them being someone very vunerable, lost and troubled, and sees how gentle they can be. Pluto can pick up on some of their more difficult sides, but their grasp on those things are weaker, and they have a hard time placing how those traits manifest. Eg. Pluto would not be as aware of their vicious jealosy, regarding it being mentioned before.

Their Moon is often naive and too gentle, but in Plutos mind those traits take much larger of a percentage of their Moons nature than it really does. They will often be quite shocked if they find their Moon to have done something that doesn't match Plutos idea of who they are, and they will think of excuses to not to have to change their view on their Moon.

Their Moon knows Pluto fairly well, but kind of falls into the... idea of them and their strenght and mystery. They don't recognize a lot of the deeper flaws in Pluto.

emrys- cis guy, he/him! …but don’t ask him to think abt his gender too hard bc there might be a little bit of egg-cracking going on that he is not even slightly ready to confront yet :’)

cassia- uses she/he pronouns and is nonbinary! he really enjoys presenting androgynously and getting the confused “ma’am? i mean sir? ma’am??” treatment from strangers

micah- genderqueer and uses they/them pronouns exclusively :] their identity is very important to them and they think a lot abt how they want to present themselves and what to wear every day, doesn’t always understand how people like winnie can be so casual and unconcerned about it haha

winnie- doesn’t think abt gender much at all, would call herself a girl/woman if asked but uses she/they pronouns and wouldn’t be fussed abt it if someone used any other pronouns on her

dove- cis woman, she/her pronouns! she enjoys being hyperfeminine in a cis+ kind of way though, inspired a bit by drag.

2. What's your oc's orientation? (Romantic/sexual/platonic alterous ect) Do they have opinions about it?

emrys- pansexual! it took him forever to admit but he’s cool with it now, finally. as for romance i think he’s panromantic too, he falls for people very easily and it always embarrasses him

cassia- she’s demisexual/demiromantic :] sometimes she only feels romantic OR sexual attraction for someone though, it doesn’t always translate into both just bc he’s close enough to feel something for a person

micah- bisexual! i think they’re somewhere on the aromantic spectrum too, but it’s too confusing and inconsistent for them to feel confident labeling themselves that way yet

winnie- not too into labels, she just calls herself queer :] her opinions are that she loves whoever she loves and it doesn’t really matter to her what their gender or identity is

dove- lesbian! in my head she’s a biromantic lesbian but doesn’t really tell people that unless it’s relevant, she prefers the lesbian label

13. Would your oc be open to a poly relationship? Why or why not?

yes all of them are to some extent! this group of ocs is actually all in a poly relationship :] it’s not all equal or the same type of love between each of them, they all have different kinds of relationships with every person, if that makes sense? but in my head they’re a closed poly group and generally very happy together :D

14. Do you have ocs on the aro or ace spectrum?

yep micah! but like i said they don’t necessarily use that label yet. and cassia is on the ace spectrum, since he’s demisexual :]

17. Do you share identity with any of your ocs? Which ones?

yes! micah is the closest, bc i also am bisexual with confusing aromantic leanings haha. as for gender i’m probably most similar to cassia but it’s not an exact match, i’m genderfluid/nonbinary :]

ok so im not great with coming up with my own headcanons so this is basically a mix of some I've seen and some I've managed to come up with. also this is ALL headcanons, not necessarily teenage ones

Gihun was Sangwoo's first friend. When they officially became friends, Gihun would talk NONSTOP about Sangwoo to his other friends, like Jungbae. He talked so much about him that everyone just assumed they were dating. (I know this is basically canon already.)

Sangwoo came over to Gihun's house so much, Gihun's parents considered him a second son.

Gihun was the first person Sangwoo told about his dream of getting into SNU. Naturally, that wasn't a secret for much longer.

Sangwoo fell first. He had an absolute crisis over is sexuality and tried avoiding Gihun for a while. Obviously, Gihun followed him around like a puppy asking if he did something wrong.

They kissed once while they were drunk at a bar. They never talked about it again. (Gihun doesn't think Sangwoo remembers, but Sangwoo still remembers and thinks about it a lot)

I just have... interesting headcanons that I know definitely have some support in some corners of the fandom, but aren't like... idk. here's where I admit that I am not a big researcher for fics. I either just wing it, or find a way to get around it. it's rather the other way around, so I sometimes stumble into a topic that really compels me and that I learn a lot about and THEN I want to write fic about it. like, okay this one is definitely somewhat weird, at some point when I was like 13, 14, I got really interested in WWI history and then I started writing this soldier drama fanfic about it (and that's to this day my longest multichapter fic, but only if you count the number of chapters I think)

more recently, but probably less weird: I like to google sensory stuff? like I'm in reddit forums collecting people's opinions on what lipstick tastes like or blood smells like, not because I don't have my own subjective experience, but because I like to have a little arsenal of different human experiences that I can then mix and match from

yissss tulips i love tulips i don't really think i have a reason for it other than that i find them to be really cute and fun to draw !! :3 especially the orangey pink ones, purples, or white

9. What is the first thing you think of or see in your mind at the sound of thunder and heavy rain?

the one time i was watching a thunderstorm from my kitchen window and the wind was lifting things off the ground and i was just so enamored with it i ignored my name being called (or rather didn't notice) and then a branch fell from the tree above my house and slid down the roof and broke through the glass, hit mr venus in the head, and we both ended up with tiny little pieces of glass in our faces. 0_0

10. Lots of pillows, or just one?

i like lots :3 or rather i have two and then 4 decently sized plushies to surround me

15. Are you superstitious?

generally no. i love black cats and i walk under ladders at work all the time but when i was in college i didn't walk on the seal because they told us if you do you won't graduate, and i do tend to knock on wood :P it just depends but even the ones i do i'm not that serious about

man this is hard but i really love a fresh hot high quality cup of black coffee :3 but also sonic strawberry limeades. the coffee is something i'll never get tired of and always look forward to and the limeade is my go-to treat bevvy
