Okay so I needed to share this because almost no one was as enthusiastic about this as me and my coworker, but in my place of work, we found around 16- 16- FIRST EDITION American Girl books.

(Black markings for a bit extra privacy) but yeah, we found them and went crazy! We found all of Felicity’s books (with about two copies of each), three of Addy’s, a few of Samantha’s, one of Kirsten’s, and one for Josefina! Apparently we also have Kaya and Kit somewhere but 🥺 I’m so happy these things were my favorite things as a little girl!

I love angst especially when it’s like tragic angst love. They love each other but they know they can’t be together. It’s so cruel and I love it

oh my goodness, you speak to my soul on another level.

those bittersweet moments filled with nothing but love and joy, constantly sabotaged by ticking clock in the back of their mind. a reminder that no good things are permanent for them, that no matter how good this is; it has to end. and when that person keeps their tragic finale to themself. cherishing the pure love on their lover's face, untainted by the agony that entangles their heart. the innocence and passion of it all was unconditional, even if not for forever.

oh, and don't even get me started on when that right time comes. person protecting their love's heart from their broken hands or whatever external reason for their relationship ending, watching their person find their person. that maybe if they weren't as much of a coward as they were back then, their person would still love them. revisiting their secret place, building the dream home they built together in their hearts; anything everything to try to soothe that constant lacking.

but specifically when they both know they can't be together? even worse. one who copes with it with jokes and how they both knew it was inevitable and the other who is gut wrenched even though they ran the scenario through their mind a thousand times. two who tell their friends, one making jokes to fill the awkward silence and the other silent as their roam endless thoughts in the pursuit of some sort of peace.

two who reunite, the jokester married and the heartbroken waiting. time, years, have passed, but their dynamic is all the same. one making the same dumb jokes like their heart was light for the first time, the other hanging on to each word like they were words just for them, crafted by angels. two grown adults reduced to nothing more than two longing kids because no time would ever be right for them.

i’ve verbalized this to a couple people now but honestly my biggest takeaway from louis’ show is how he brings out so much love, compassion, support, and acceptance in practically everyone at his shows. the amount of love i felt in that room was unparalleled. i am so grateful to him and so proud of him for the fact that by just being his authentic self he helps others feel seen for who they are, helps others heal, and in turn we help each other and love each other more and i’m just soooo thankful to him for going thru everything he has to get to this point. he deserves every ounce of love he receives and i’m so glad that he seems to feel like he finally deserves that bc he really fucking does <3
