I personally think it's kind of funny that people will literally threaten people for saying that a character could have tan lines but throw a fit the moment they point out that their favorite iteration of a black person looks like they eyedropped from the moon

Her story....

I based her story off how women had been treated during the time black and white cartoons were airing. As well as how women in cosplay are treated. While Jax did not experience sexual abuse, she did get unwanted gross comments and looks.

Jax loved art. Loved making cartoons most of all. She loved how she even looked like a cartoon, and took pride in how many players called her "the cutest". This got her many eyerolls from the other bosses.

One day, Jax's room was invaded by a large group of male players, and was attacked. She screamed and begged them to stop, but they laughed at her. And she snapped.

As a result of this event she doesn't want anything to do with men. Out of pure rage for the most part. Because of her new appearance, can't even take being seen by anyone- she feels they took her beauty from her, something she had often took pride in. Without it, she can't bring herself to face anyone.

No one heard her. No one helped.

She got her chains some time after the event, which didn't help her appearance in her opinion.

when I was walking around my table I had an idea for a catmen character that isn't a catman and is instead someone who is poorly cosplaying as one and keeps showing up in the Ivory household unwanted. Then on top of that tries to steal stuff from the actual catmen (Example: cutting off nyon's ears and supergluing to the wig) I liked the idea and think it's funny when there's a silly character that keeps being told to go home. I don't have a name for her yet. You can give me suggestions if you have any. I feel like she would make up a name to be similar to "nyen" or "nyon" that nobody but herself calls her that. I don't know why but I kept thinking of derpy from MLP, probably cause I was also thinking of the "nyan nyan song" which I always associate with derpy due to that one animation. I'm sure somebody has a catmen character like this, if not we should make a trend where we make a bunch of catmen characters like this and draw them raiding the Ivory household together.

The Siberian trial cosplay

I couldn’t resist and did a test photo shoot of Siberian cosplay today. I expected to do a photos in another place, but it turned out to be a closed area. So I had to choose from what was available.

It's funny that I plan to replace literally all the things that are currently in the photo:

1. I like the look of the suit, but it is too small for me, and I will replace it with a larger one since the seams react with a menacing crackle to any careless movement.

And yes, this version of the pattern on the suit is also not the only one I’m considering. I like the look of this one, but I imagine Siberia with other patterns as well. For example, with an asymmetrical pattern or a pattern that does not follow anatomical lines, thus making the image less human.

2. Gloves and socks are purely a test version to see how it all together will look with a suit. This is not noticeable in the photographs, but they were taken very quickly and carelessly: the gloves are medical latex gloves, and the socks are regular white cotton socks painted with acrylic.

I put insoles inside the socks so that it would not be so cold to stand on concrete slabs, but in the future I will think about how best to solve the issue with the appearance of the feet.

I don't like the visible transition and folds between the suit and the socks/gloves. So maybe I'll sew socks and gloves onto the costume, making it one piece.

3. The wig was simply taken from the supplies that I had. This is an unwanted old wig that I dyed some of the strands black. For Siberian, I need a much longer wig (according to the descriptions, she has straight black and white hair down to her tailbone).

4. I didn't do any makeup for this photo shoot, so all the photos are from the back. It was too cold to do makeup outside, and doing it in advance would have been a bad idea since the photoshoot was done at the end of a five-hour walk.

Also, I don’t have a specific makeup concept for this cosplay yet. I'm trying different pattern options, but I have not yet found one that suits me 100%.

5. Lenses.

I didn't wear them for this photo shoot either, but they are really nice. I went through three different options for yellow lenses (not all lenses give the right shade for my eye color), and the one really looks great.

6. I'm debating whether to add small fangs and pointed nails. As far as I remember, Siberian had ordinary human-looking nails, and I don’t remember if she had fangs, most likely ordinary teeth.

I'm a generally friendly and outgoing person, and I'm gay and trans but I feel like women don't always read me that way. I still act much the same as how I did as a woman, and that means being complimentary and appreciating fashion and design. but now I notice when I'm at a con and I compliment a girl on her cosplay or her cute outfit there's a silence afterwards and I feel "oh I shouldn't have said that." not that i ever say anything creepy. it's usually just like "i love your look, you are so cute!" or "wow what a beautiful cosplay!" I never comment on bodies, but I'm just used to calling girls cute and beautiful because that's what I did as a girl and I got positive feedback. now I feel kind of sad that I may be read as hitting on someone or being creepy by acting like I always have, the only thing that's changed is my presentation, which brings me more joy.

and I don't blame women, I have also been raised to expect the worst of men to protect myself. I learned that reacting positively to harmless compliments can invite more unwanted attention. I just don't know how to navigate this yet because I don't want the solution to be to kill this friendly side of myself that loves fashion and appreciates cute girls, even if I have no interest in dating them

What would it be like if Alastor saw the reader wearing a cosplay of some anime...

We know that the reader loves anime, books and stories in general... And if the reader sometimes wore a cosplay of a character...

I had the Same thing as those cute anime girl cosplays, which make the reader look like a princess, or those cute lolita dresses,...

Would Alastor like that? and if the reader wore a cute neko cosplay (just because he thinks it's cute), alastor would feel betrayed because the reader didn't cosplay his ears (would he think the reader thinks husk is cuter and would be jealous)

My answer is the same as in this request, so give it a read. But I have something else to add on since you mentioned the extra bit after resending the request.

To be fair, there are not many deer characters in anime, and there are a LOT of cat ones. Alastor would be aware of Reader's/your likeness to cats, but it doesn't stop him from getting pouty that it resembles Husk's cat ears.

Lucky though, your habit of cosplaying is restricted to your room or home, especially the more extravagant or obvious ones. So the other residence of the hotel don't see you in cosplay clothing. Only Alastor does.

Whenever he notices you cosplaying, he'll ask questions and that gets you talking. That's his only goal, to hear your voice. He listens to what you say, it's not in one ear and out the other, but his main purpose was to hear your lovely melodious voice.

But. You once cosplayed Alastor in his clothes. You studied his clothing and summoned ones that fit you perfectly. You surprised him that day when he opened his radio tower door to see you in his chair and in his outfit. Ears and all. Even your own makeshift staff!

"Alastor, quite to be meeting you, My Dear, quite a pleasure!"

"Darling, do you think I can cosplay you?"

Some Raine living in the Owl House headcanons

They and Eda have a long talk before they move in about ground rules for open communication, so when they’re talking about where Raine’s going to sleep, Raine is quick to bring up their nightmares

They’d love to stay in Eda’s room, they tell her, but There Will Be Screaming

Not a problem, she responds, and so they sleep in the nest

Sometimes Eda’s able to soothe them pretty quickly, but when they can’t shake a nightmare off, she’ll take them to the top of the tower and the two of them will stargaze

If Eda starts growing some unwanted feathers during the nights, Raine takes her up there too

Raine quickly memorizes where all the elixirs are stored in the Owl House so they can get some to her quickly if she doesn’t have any on hand. They also start keeping a stash on them at all times

Occasionally their nightmares wake King, too. When this happens, King grabs as many of his stuffed animals as he can carry and just. Showers them over Raine. They love it

They can never say no to King about anything. King knows this and is always ready to abuse it

They overhear Luz and Amity talking about The Good Witch Azura once and ask what it’s about. Six books and movies later, they’re a regular Azura book club member and thoroughly invested, much to Eda’s dismay

They’re trying to get her to do a Hecate/Azura cosplay with them. So far she’s been unyielding

This leads to Raine showing Luz the Die Bard franchise (she loves it), and so Owl House movie nights are born

Raine and Eda also have board game nights with Lilith and Hooty

Luz and Vee complain about the lunches at Gravesfield High exactly one time and Raine buys a stash of human food and starts making them homemade lunches to take to school every day

Raine and Eda being equal prodigies in their own right, the Hexsquad gets into the habit of coming to the Owl House for help with their homework. Surprising everyone, Eda is the parent that tries to nudge you in the right direction with helpful tips, while Raine is the parent that’s just like “you want the answer? Here it is”

Bonus: you all remember that one billboard of Raine they put up for the Coven Day parade? Eda hangs it in the living room next to her wanted poster. She likes the juxtaposition
