Weekly Update!

Sorry for the late update! Kind of was a bit out of it, but anyways, here we go!

Unfortunately, we didn't quite meet our goal of 9K words, and I apologize for that. I even pulled an all-nighter, but it seems it just wasn't enough (that's what she said 😔 ). The most I managed was 8.2K words, which is pretty good, but not quite as great as I'd hoped. However, I promise you all that I'll double down and give it my all next week! :D

On top of that, my university is starting again, but no worries, folks! I have a schedule in place that will ensure I write twice as much as I do now!

So, here's the official word count update: 4K words were written in the short story, and 4K words in the main book, bringing the main book's total to 125,214 words and the short book to 14,023 words.

In other news, I've also commissioned character art for a cute 19-year-old character who you'll be training with in my upcoming femboy dating simulator book (available on Patreon). I'll be sharing all the character art once we hit 20K words or once the demo for the second book is created, haha!

Vampyr (2018) When Dr. Jonathan Reid wakes up as a vampire, his thirst for blood leads him on a journey to discover what happened to him and what is going on in the streets of London! Vampyr was one of the most infuriating games I’ve ever played, but somewhat enjoyable and rewarding too. It’s rewarding in the sense that with games such as bloodborne and dark souls, it takes a level of skill to kill enemies and bosses, having to formulate plans, learn moves and attacks, so defeating them feels great! The problems however far outweigh the positives, the combat system feels off, clunky, and the button configs really hinder the experience. Having them on the D pad makes for a truly awkward time when dodging with analogue sticks and having to leave them to heal. What’s worse than dying to an enemy in little over 3 hits? Including enemies in the street? Having to wait eons to get back into the game. The loading times in this game are horrendous. I had loading times in the streets, long loading times in the game and even between interactions. It makes the whole thing very tedious and frustrating. The map system doesn’t work properly and traversing it is very hard work. The soundtrack is impressive and I enjoyed the dark mystical themed music. The story was okay, I think it was interesting and had some good ideas, but the games dialogue is so monotonous it takes the effect out the game. The game can change depending on a couple of factors, but talking to characters ultimately has an option you have to press to progress the story which makes the choice feel a bit redundant. Overall, Vampyr is sad because it could have been so much more. It feels rushed, unpolished and unloved. With some TLC it could have been a lot better, unfortunately on this occasion be wary if you decide to take a bite! Also: whoever recommended this to me as Assassins Creed with vampires in London. I hate you.
