It is EXTREMELY FUNNY how incredibly nerfed most of the Council of the CK is

-Pythor is a support class who goes down easy. His biggest strengths are his intelligence and his invisibility, but without an army, he doesn't put up much of a fight

-Vangellis similarly is extremely nerfed without the skull. He can fly, but everyone on the enemy team has a projectile, and he's not a super intimidating fighter

-The only reason Mister E is threatening is because none of the ninja ever beat him, and the only reason for that is because Zane is too sweet to kick an enemy while he's down (he had him completely frozen for like 5 seconds, if he threw E over the cliff it was OVER)

The only one who can hold her own without any allies is Aspheera. This walking bomb can blast the shit out of anything and anyone, army or no army.

Honestly, a more interesting team-up would've been Aspheera and Pythor. He's got the brains and she's got the brawn. Pythor finally puts his money where his mouth is and plans his grand revenge, with him commanding a section of Aspheera's army behind the scenes while she blasts her way through Ninjago City, and while the two megalomaniacs step on each other's metaphorical toes, they hate each other a little less than they hate the ninja.

I did not mention Harumi because she is literally just a dude (I forgot her)

Lluvia, Jarochita & Skadi vs. Dalys, Reyna Isis & Comandante

Who’s who?

Lluvia in black body mesh, Jarochita in green with red hair & Skadi in grey/black bodysuit. 

Dalys in black 2 piece, Isis in red & Comandante in cargo pants. 

How’s the match?

Good, these women will all be in a torneo on the 9th. That match will hopefully showcase them better. Lluvia might have the best attire on the luchadora roster right now. Between this and her starry bodysuit she no doubt has fans on atheistic alone, but is also pretty good in the matches she is in. This had a bit of a wonky finish and I’ve never liked Comandante, both things hurt this match for me. Comandante is never very exciting. I hope in that aforementioned tornero, she is one of the 1st to go. 

Blue Panther Jr. vs. Misterioso Lightning Match

Who’s who?

Blue in blue and Misterioso in black/green. 

How’s the match?

Good, I love Blue Panther Jr, but Misterioso isn’t the most exciting guy to see him face. They did a good lightning match, but not anything too memorable. I’d have had someone more interesting for Blue. I don’t really get why Misterioso was used here, but it is just a Tuesday show. Tiger/Felino/Villano/ect. would have all been prefered. 

Dulce Gardenia, Fuego & Guerrero Maya Jr. vs. Okumura, Vangellys & Universo 2000 Jr.

Who’s who?

Dulce in purple/silver, Fuego in orange & Maya in white. 

Okumura in purple pants, Vangellys/Universo in black with the latter in mask.

How’s the match?

Great, Dulce debut about a month or two ago and has been on these Youtube uploads a few times. The exotico has the usual gay panic shtick. So if you don’t like that, you probably won’t like it here. Maya too had a great showing here again, he is a midcard guy in CMLL who is obviously showing he can do better higher on the card. Despite not loving this rudo team, I did love this overall match. Worth checking out for sure. Think these teams could become official if CMLL needed more stables. The mix of Maya/Fuego/Dulce seems like a good/unique fit.

Atlantis, Flyer & Audaz vs. Mephisto, Luciferno & Ephesto

Who’s who?

Atlantis in iconic white/blue mask, Flyer in black, Audaz in gold. 

Mephisto in grinning mask and both the others in name shirts like always. 

How’s the match?

Meh, just like the previous night in Puebla... this just feels like a very by the numbers semi-main. A big part of that is Atlantis, who has very predictable offense these days. I don’t blame him, but he seems like an anchor on some matches these days. Demons also didn’t feel like much of a real threat. Audaz was the highlight here and did what he does best, but it wasn’t enough to save the match overall. 

Gran Guerrero & Euforia(c) vs. Angel de Oro & Niebla Roja for the CMLL World Tag Team Titles

Who’s who?

Gran/Euforia both in red and masked. Euforia in full pants.

Oro in gold and Roja in red, both maskless.

How’s the match?

Fantastic, but I am a huge fan of Los Guerreros Laguneros and thing Euforia/Gran pulled out new things here. They could have easily just done the regular spots, but they know a title match should be an occasion and try harder. It’s the same reason NGD are a team worth watching and respecting, because they respect the fans and don’t just do the match you’ve seen before. I wish Roja/Oro tried more here, but to be fair they were the losers here. So might not want to pull out new moves just to have them be bested. Great match regardless and the main reason to tune into this show.

Hijo del Signo & Espanto Jr. vs. Stigma & Magia Blanca

Who’s who?

Signo maskless and Espanto in his white cross mask.

Stigma in dark blue/red and Magia in white. 

How’s the match?

Good, it’s nice to see Stigma and Magia Blanca booked here as CMLL could go with more standard openers. Astral recently left CMLL which has helped open this spot up for better or worse. In this case it was for the better, even if this isn’t an opener that will blow anyone away. Hope to see these two tecnicos more on Friday Night. 

Fuego, Drone & Guerrero Maya Jr. vs. Polvora, Kawato San & Vangellys

Who’s who?

Fuego in orange, Drone in black and Maya in white. 

Polvora in silver mask, Kawato in blue/silver & Vangellys in black.

How’s the match?

Good, but it probably isn’t a good sign that the most memorable moment from this match was Fuego making his his entrance with a blow up doll. It’s hard to care too much about a match like this with rudos that you know aren’t going to be doing much if anything of note in the next few weeks/months/ect.

Kaho Kobayashi vs. Amapola Lightning Match

Who’s who?

Kaho in 2 pieces and amapola in a 1 piece black outfit. 

How’s the match?

Meh, this match was a set up match for a potential hair vs. hair match down the line. Not having a finish hurts this, even if the action was good until you got to the ending. Kaho is a good talent and I’d like to see a proper 2/3 falls match out of her. Amapola would be a good choice for that since we already got a full match with Dalys. 

Soberano Jr., Atlantis & Atlantis Jr. vs. Villano IV, Hijo del Villano III & Rey Bucanero

Who’s who?

Soberano Jr. in blue, Atlantis in white mask with tanktop, Jr. in the same mask without a tanktop to his outfit.

Villano IV the thicker man in the x mask, his nephew thinner and Bucanero maskless with facepaint. 

How’s the match?

Very good, perhaps the best match on the card or at least up there in the 2nd place spot. Interesting ending sequence too. I might just be a sucker for the Villanos vs. Atlantis feud and all the built in foundation it obviously has. Loved the surfboard into suplex move the rudos did in this match as well. 

Los Guerreros Laguneros(Ultimo Guerrero, Gran Guerrero & Euforia) vs. Mascara Ano 2000 & NGD(Sanson & Cuatrero)

Who’s who?

Los Guerreros in green black, Ultimo maskless and Gran in full pants. 

Ano 2000 maskless, Sanson in black boots and Cuatrero in white boots.

How’s the match?

Good, but I don’t think this topped what this same match did the week prior. The rumor is that Ano 2000 vs. Ultimo for the hair might be where this is going. That’s not terribly exciting, but if Ano 2000 needs one more hair payoff before he hangs up his boots for good... Ultimo Guerrero can likely take him to a good farewell match. I simply say that because of course Ano 2000 is in his 60′s and isn’t getting any younger. Any lucha de apuesta could obviously be his last. 

Mr. Niebla, Negro Casas & Barbaro Cavernario vs. Dragon Lee, Mistico & Volador Jr.

Who’s who?

Lee in black, Mistico in white and Volador maskless in white/red. 

Casas in plain black, Niebla masked and Barbaro looking like a caveman.

How’s the match?

Good, but so brief, why have Dragon Lee fly in from Japan for this? Seems a bit needless since it wasn’t even a big feeling match. I don’t get why you couldn’t have just had this match with anyone other than Lee, but oh well. Was nice to see him one more time before he disappears again for a month or more.
