You have been hiding from your mother ever since you found the tool of your trade, the instrument of your very soul. And yet there she was in her trademark red high slitted dress, as you scrambled backwards further away from her sight as if almost ashamed. You could see part of Anja's robe behind her and you almost felt tickled at the irony.
While you and Toki were what most people called bitter rivals, best friend, or even just frenemies, constantly at odds and constantly hanging out - Surveta and Anja were like sisters who never stopped just being themsleves and with each other. There was times you could see why people so adamantly swore you and Toki were up to no good - the way your mother spoke of Anja had you secondguessing everything you knew about the sex addicted woman. And you didn't like it.
Even by European standards of friendship and affection, the way she held Anja in tender hugs or caressed her face after a tender kiss goodbye with promises of more get-togethers made your skin squirm.
On one hand you liked that she had a steady presence that wasn't repulsed by her actions, and once so willing to accept her - Odin knows she's ruined so many people, inclhding you to some extent, over her lifetime. On the other, you didn't want that person to be Anja Wartooth and you definitely didn't like --
"You amnst going to keeps hidings - I amns tired of tryings to talk to you!" She takes a meaningful step forward and immediately you feel like the small kid packing your things because Surveta fucked the wrong man or she wasn't able to pay rent with sex anymore - between all those movings from Stockholm and Gothenburg, you could count on one hand the amount of times you stayed for more than a year in any town.
It was the feeling of failing. Of being scared. Of being small and insignificant.
The feeling of being a bitter disappointment.
"Efter allt jag har gjort för att du ska vara klädd och ha bostad och mat, vill du inte ens prata med mig...."
You remember it completely different - eating snow at night when she forgot to buy food, sleeping in the same room in your room where she and you could cuddle and stay warm, the clothes you wore having to be gifted by your grandmother (until she passed away and gave Surveta the cabin you callex home) because your own mother couldn't afford clothes for herself, much less a boy growing way too tall, way too quickly.
You remember how during those hard days, before she settled finally in the cabin you called home in your later years, she would say 'it's just you and Mommy - we will take care of each other'. You remember telling yourself you would, despite the feeling of never being good enough or being a nuisance during her dates. The feeling bubbles up in you, like magma under pressure.
That itch.
The itch to play, to drink, to have a pile of groupies, the need of that needle piercing your skin under the strap --
"Surveta, he needs space. They all do. Just like Toki needed time, so does your boy. Come, let us enjoy the company of Rose and Stella. Molly said there would be wine and cheese from her province she will provide for tonight."
Anja comes up to your rescue, her simple Swedish breaking the growing maw of silence between you and your mother. You realize without looking at your mother in the eye that you are clutching your guitar much too harshly, your hands aching like they did when you wanted nothing more than to ignore the hunger and the cold.
Anja lays a gentle hand on the small of Surveta's back as she takes her other arm and pulls her back. You manage to make eye contact for a brief second - Surveta looks worried, concerned at you or at your pathetic display of refusal. But it's there, and the guilt begins to chew at you and burn with a fiery strength that look look down to your guitar again before you say something.
"I hope to enjoy your company at dinner, Skwisgaar," says Anja, as Surveta take a deep breath and lets her friend guide her away, "and I hope my son finds strength with his friends to do the same with me. Come, friend, we must unpack and find time for ourselves." Anja gently tugs at Surveta's arm, who is clearly upset and sniffling, and you fight back the urge to curl up and disappear.
They leave, the clacking heels a jarring comparison to the almost silent boots next them as you process the turmoil of emtions swirling in you.
//ooc: i luv your writing -pls tell me you have an AO3, I need a link now -- a read more has been made
The very first thing that Skwisgaar does when he finally sees the iconic red dress is to clutch his guitar. He had seen Pickles get called to help wrangle his mother, and he had decided to remain with the empty vodka bottle and the last of the joint. That was hours ago, and he was beginning to build blisters on his calloused fingers from the incessant playing from the paranoia of seeing his mother.
He was sitting down and playing the Duncan Hills Coffee jingle when he heard Serveta talking, and Anja responding back. When they found him, he was still seated on the plush carpeting, plucking away at his Explorer.
The brief 5 minutes in that closet felt like an entire day, and it was Anja that decided to break off the very one-sided conversation with a very obviously shocked and ashamed Skwisgaar. Anja was another stressor on him now considering Toki's own complex ties to the woman.
As much as he loved seeing his mother have a long-term stable friendship finally, it bothered him to no end that it was Anja Wartooth of all people. Toki, his best friend, his closest friend, had literal scars that mapped out her inaction across his skin; perhaps it was just perfect irony that they both found companionship in the other.
Serveta left her own on Skwisgaar.
Serveta was never physically abusive with Skwisgaar. She was emotionally manipulative when his grandmother chastised her, negligent at best of Skwisgaar and herself and verbally abusive if he stepped out of line from the picture perfect child she wanted.
Jag är ledsen, mamma.
How often had those words come out of his mouth, his soul poured out into each syllable only for Serveta to dismiss his words and actions to find another man? How often had she presented him to a new partner, giving him hope that this was going to be his new dad, to be what he craved only for her to crush those dreams again and again?
How often had she caused him to burst into tears?
He took in a shuddering breath, feeling his throat constrict, and blinked to clear his blurry vision.
He was crying.
He dropped his Gibson Explorer and wiped his cheek, and then and again as more kept falling.
He's 35 now, crying because she was crying.
He's 5 again, leaving grandmother's home with a full belly and a good night's rest, the first he's had of both in a while, and he's crying in Serveta's arms as she soothes him after she forgot to pick him up the night before. He's 9 again, coming home to hear Serveta call him her sweetest mistake that ruined everything to one of her 'friends', and he's crying because she told him he was her favorite person and that she loved him. He's 13, walking into his grandmother's home looking to find his mother finishing lunch and instead finding her with 2 men, crying when he's back because he's aching from his fall and he was hungry and tired. He's 17 again, plunging a needle into his arm to ignore the pain of being her son, tears from the high striking him too soon and removing the strap too early. He's 21 and crying because he foolishly reached out to his mother, only to have her tear him apart with vicious words and verbal lashings for running away from her the way he did. He's 23, leaving a rehab center after overdosing again and his flatmates called the ambulance 'for the last time'.
He's 30 and crying because he's absolutely too drunk and high, and Pickles and him are both hot wrecks from the first time their mothers reach out and berate them. He's 33 and he's crying, because his life is falling apart as Toki's book destroys his career and the one person he expected to comfort him, the one person he wanted support from had told him that he wasn't good enough and that's why everything was falling apart around him.
He said he would never make her cry despite her own track record on him. He wouldn't be like the other men who she hopelessly did grow to care for and left her in tears when she inevitably self destructed. He wouldn't stoop to her level and make her cry.
And yet she was, sniffling as she walked away from the disaster that was Skwisgaar Skwigelf.
There was some kind of poetic justice in that he had drawn tears from her for doing what she had to him his whole life - ignored the other, neglecting them and resenting them, considering them a source of stress and anger and blaming them for their problems.
Anja had spared Skwisgaar the sight of his crying mother, but she also spared Serveta from seeing her boy cry. He once again failed her, disappointing not just her but himself. Serveta represented a mirror in the dynamic now, and as he looked at her, he found himself now the realized what he was doing. He even inherited her sex addiction, and it's baffling how quickly his chest feels tight.
She was Miss Sweden, he's a guitar god. She had partners every weekend, and he had partners every night he could. She loved to dress up still and take care of her skin and hair, and what did he just do a few days ago? He had his bi-monthly spa day; his was more necessity than for vanity, but they went hand in hand with his status as Skwisgaar Skwigelf. Not to mention, he's blamed her for a lot of his personal issues and problems, his inability to connect with people, and his issues with poorly hidden addictions like drugs and sex. He's ignored her as best as he could, only doing the bare minimum when she reached out.
He's become the very person he came to resent the most in this world.
This is what makes the first of many more sobs bubble up in the otherwise quiet closet.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF 'EI RASTRO'
Known the world over for its crowded, transient flea market that's held on Sundays and public holidays and offers a diverse range of goods, El Rastro is a bustling shopping area in the city centre that’s open every day of the week and stands out for its jumble of specialist shops, typical bars, historic sites and interesting places like the Museum of Popular Art.
The long, steep street Calle de la Ribera de Curtidores has multiple shops specialising mainly in mountain sports –new and second-hand sportswear by top brands at Makalu, Barrabes, OS20, El Rincón de la Montaña, etc.–, handcrafted furniture, photography –Fotocasión is one of the city's top establishments– and antiques –set around two courtyards with carefully designed architecture, one on either side of the street (Piquer Galleries and Nuevas Galerías), are multiple antiques dealers and restaurants– but you’ll also find bookshops, scraps of fabric, hardware shops and pet supplies for sale.
Scattered amongst the many shops, there’s no shortage of typical bars where you can have a wine, beer or vermouth on tap with some paella tapas or a calamari sandwich, as well as traditional restaurants where you can enjoy a nice cocido (chickpea stew) or some tripe.
The Museum of Popular Art and Traditions, an interesting museum that houses ethnographic pieces from all over Spain, is also worth visiting. In addition, Saturdays at El Rastro, Madrid’s oldest, most traditional and most iconic leisure fair, is held on the first and third Saturday of each month (in Plaza del General Vara del Rey) and features the best antiques, vintage pieces, auction houses, collectors’ items, gastronomy and entertainment.
The popular flea market held on Sundays and public holidays
The image of El Rastro that immediately comes to mind is that of its crowded, transient flea market which is held on Sundays and public holidays. Documents mention the market as early as 1740. Originally a hub for the sale, exchange and general wheeling and dealing of second-hand clothes, it offered an alternative to street peddling. Its curious name (The Trail) may owe itself to the fact that the market was held near a former slaughterhouse and the dead, unskinned livestock transported to it would leave a trail on the ground. In the 16th century, the word “Rastro” was also used as a synonym for butcher's shop or abattoir.
Today, the market hosts over 1000 merchants who start to sell their goods at about 9am and pack up at roughly 3pm. Located in the vicinity of Calle de la Ribera de Curtidores, the market has its hub in Plaza de Cascorro and occupies a large, almost triangular block delimited by the streets Calle de Toledo, Calle de Embajadores and Ronda de Toledo. It also sprawls down other streets, such as Calle de San Cayetano, Calle de Fray Ceferino González, Calle de Carlos Arniches and Calle de Mira el Río, and into squares like Plaza de General Vara del Rey and Plaza de Campillo del Mundo Nuevo.
Depending on which section you pass through, you’ll find different items ranging from artisanal goods, clothing and accessories to kitchenware, trading cards, second-hand albums and magazines, pets and all sorts of objects of varying ages.

Friday 8 November 2002 - Frankfurt to Nuremberg by plane and to Hamburg by train and where the Beatles started it all
8 November 2002 EN  Hi everyone.  Twenty years ago today, I made a rare return to Europe for the third time in a year.  I flew into Frankfurt am Main from Washington Dulles.  Then I went to Nuremberg and north to Hamburg.  It had been five years since I returned to Hamburg, and I was very happy to be there.  Here is my journey from that day.
Guten Morgen!  Good morning! On Friday, 8th November 2002, I had arrived at the Frankfurt am Main airport about 6:40 AM, a little early according to the schedule, so it was okay.  I had to go through customs and passport control.  It took a little time to go through passport control.  I turned on Z98 (98.7 FM for Frankfurt), listened to some music, including "Complicated" by Avril Lavigne, and then I tuned the radio to HR3, 89.3 FM in Frankfurt.  I listened to two songs that I still listen to today in 2022.  One was "Müll(er) Pur" by Andreas Müller, which was a satire on the music of German-language band Pur.  The other was the HR3 Weckermarsch that went "Guten Morgen, guten Morgen, singe ich nur für dich, leise in dein Ohr" which was played kind of as a joke, and included the bleats of Manfred the Rhön-sheep, that I had remembered from years ago when I listened to HR3 while working in the district of Nieder-Eschbach.  Eventually my passport was stamped with "Frankfurt am Main" with the usual Schengen stamp and "D" surrounded by twelve stars.  I was free to exit the airport, but I had to bear in mind, that my flight to Nuremberg would take off in about two hours.  I went to the underground grocery store close to the Regionalbahnhof for the S-Bahn.  Back then, the Fernbahnhof, the long distance train station, did not even exist.  And even Gateway Gardens, opened in late 2019 was not even an idea, back in 2002.  What did I buy in the grocery store?  A one-liter bottle of Schoppenpetzer Äppler, or Apple Wine.  Apple Wine in Frankfurt tends to be more sour, more on the level of vinegar, than British or French cider.  But I liked it since 1993, so I bought myself a bottle to enjoy on the train ride.  I packed it in my backpack, and returned to the security area for Terminal 1 concourse A.  They did not mind that I had a bottle of Äppler, as at that time, I was flying on a domestic flight to Nuremberg, and security was not as tight as it were for an international flight.  It was not a concern until 2006.
I made it back in time for the flight to Nuremberg, airport code NUE.  It was on a Lufthansa flight, on a single-aisle Airbus A321.  The flight left Frankfurt around 9 AM and arrived about 10 AM in Nuremberg.  The airport was quite small at the time.  The airport had proper gangways from the aircraft to the terminal, and walking distance to the baggage claim was fairly short, compared to Frankfurt.  I was able to get my wheeled bag, get out some money to buy a ticket for the U Bahn, and headed to Nürnberg Hbf.
My last visit to Nuremberg was in June 1998.  At the time, Herrnhütte was the northernmost station on the U2.  The last two or three years hence, an extension had been built to the airport.  The airport station is underground and has a central platform.  I had just missed the train by a minute, but it was an old DT1 built in the 1970s, about the time the Munich U Bahn built their A-series rolling stock as seen in the 1985 Percy Adlon film "Sugarbaby".  There would be another U Bahn coming in the next ten minutes.  I did not care much, which train to Hamburg I would catch, so I waited ten minutes for the next one.  The next train was a more modern DT2 built in the 1980s.  It had automatic station announcements, although in comparison to 1998, the one starting 2002 was female.  I boarded the U2 for Hauptbahnhof.  Between Airport and Ziegelbrücke, the train was single tracked, but the rest of the way it was double tracked.  Only every other U2 train went from Ziegelbrücke to the airport, the other turned back to Röthenbach via Hbf and Plärrer.  The train even passed Nordostbahnhof and Wöhrder Wiese before stopping at Hbf.  I did not really rush to the long distance train platform.  I went to the ticket office to validate my rail pass.  My rail pass was good for Germany, Denmark and Switzerland but not Sweden.  There was a 11 AM train going to Hamburg Hbf, which would arrive around 4 PM, so I took the ICE train and boarded first class.
The train left Nürnberg Hbf for Würzburg, Kassel, Braunschweig, Hannover and Hamburg Hbf.  After ticket inspection, I was thirsty.  In first class, the conductor or some similar staff member, can bring items from the dining car to the passenger's seat at no extra charge.  I ordered a whole grain bread sandwich of salami, turkey and gouda, to go with my Äppler.  That made the journey nice.
While I was on the train, there was an entertainment system where you just plug in your headphones and enjoy music or watch the seatback TV screen.  They had a program with music that I liked, that included songs like "Still in love with you" No Angels "Get over you" Sophie Ellis-Bextor "I O I O" B3 (cover version of the same song by the Bee Gees, released in 1970, long before their Saturday Night Fever fame) "Rhythm of the night" Loona
There was another program that followed from an artist named Ryan Adams, who had absolutely no relation to Bryan Adams from Canada.  He was promoting his Demolition CD which was released in 2002.  The music was not to my taste, but I listened to it along the way to Hamburg.
The Äppler kind of made me doze off after the train left Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe, so I missed out on Braunschweig and Hannover.  I woke up about the time the train was about to arrive at Hamburg's Harburg, which was the first place in Hamburg to connect with the local S Bahn.  Upon arrival at Hamburg Hbf, I exited the train, looked for the Hamburg North U Bahn station for the then-U3 to Horner Rennbahn.  My youth hostel was at Horner Rennbahn and about a half mile walk towards the eponymous horse racetrack.  I had not been to Hamburg since more than five years, so my memory was maybe adequate to find the right train platform.  The south U Bahn station is easier to navigate than the north one, as there is only one central platform.  The north station has two side platforms.  The south U Bahn station even has a ramp for wheelchairs and to a lesser extend also for people with wheeled bags.  That is where I boarded the U3 for Horner Rennbahn.
The trains at the time were a bit old, namely they were DT3 refurbished similar to the DT4s which were newest back then.  They actually had automatic train announcements.  The train left Hbf for Berliner Tor, and then went on to Mümmelmansberg, which is now operated by U2 after line configuration.  Most of the line was underground except for a short stretch between Burgstraße and Hammer Kirche.  I exited the train at Horner Rennbahn and walked north to the hostel.  It was a decent hostel, owned by the DJH, the German affiliate of YHA, and the room at the time was under 30 Euro a night including breakfast, with Hostelling International membership card.  I dropped my wheeled bag off on the bed I was assigned, then took my green bag and went back into downtown.
First I took the U Bahn to Landungsbrücken, took some photos of the port, and then went on to St. Pauli.  Many years later there was a memorial to the Beatles, located at Reeperbahn S Bahn station, but not in 2002 yet.  St. Pauli if you remain on Reeperbahn, is safe, but the side streets are the dodgy part.  I took the S Bahn to Altona, then Sternschanze.  Some of the new S Bahns, had automatic train announcements installed, and with none other than the voice of - you guessed it! - Ingo Ruff.  He would say "nächste Haltestelle" as in Hamburg they don't say "nächste Station" or "nächster Halt", for next stop.  For a transfer he would say "Übergang" and not "Umsteigemöglichkeit" as they would in the south.  I changed to a U3 and then a U2, and took some photos of the narrow platforms.  No one really said a word to me at the time.  I remember in 1997 having a ticket inspection at Sternschanze.  I went to Lutterothstraße to see what was going on.  It started to rain, so I went back inside the station and took the U Bahn back to Hbf.  I bought a reservation for the next day's train to Copenhagen, I think the one departing at 9:30 AM.
I took the U3 back to Horner Rennbahn and went to sleep.  I would have a nice train ride the next day to Denmark.
I hope you will join me for when I take the train across the Baltic Sea from Puttgarden on the Fehmarn island to Rødby Færge in Denmark, and eventually Copenhagen for the Christiania visit.  And of course some very tasty pølse.
Gute Nacht!  Good night!  Godnat!

Dr. Cupid, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Celebrate Valentine’s Day Anyway (Part 3)
If you’ve come across this, it’s safe to say that you’ve already read Parts 1 and 2 of this series, where I shared the importance of gifting based on Sun/Moon signs and expression of gender identity. Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be intimidating, and expressions of love should be genuine. Knowing who you’re buying for helps a lot in both regards, so ease your mind, read on, and allow me to be…

I have just listened to Breach of Trust again (purely because I'm working my way through the UNIT boxsets again) and it is such a powerful story for Kate and I love it so much that I wanted to talk about it. In case you’d rather not be spoilered, I’m putting it under a cut.
It opens with Osgood fiddling about with something unspecified in the lab when Captain Carter walks in and in the course of the conversation Osgood lets slip that Kate's on a date. Josh jokes about whether or not Kate will tell her date what she does for a living and Osgood says it's more of a third date conversation.
Cut to Kate having dinner with an obnoxious misogynistic prick (whose name is Richard), a senior officer with whom she is NOT on a date (though he thinks they are) who is making feeble excuses for his sexual harassment of (and possible sexual relationship with - David Barnes doesn’t spell that out) a private in his regiment. He claims it's nothing but a storm in a teacup and it's clear he neither regrets his behaviour nor even gives a shit about the young woman in question, whose name he cannot even recall. Kate asks if she's still in his regiment and he reveals that the young woman had requested and was given a transfer. He then observes that they've drunk all the wine and asks if he should get another bottle and Kate says 'Better not or I might hit you over the head with it'. Then her pager goes off and she says 'Oh thank god, the Earth's being invaded' and tells him she'll have to leave. He tells her that she can't and she says 'I can. The door's right over there', she also tells him that she didn't have a good evening, but dinner is on her.
Outside she is hurrying to get back to HQ and almost bumps into someone who sounds drunk. He proceeds to be equally obnoxious, asking her what she's doing this evening, before telling her to 'Smile love, it's not the end of the world, is it?' So by the time she reaches UNIT HQ she is in a less than good mood. She reaches her office where Carter and Colonel Shindi are talking about the alien incursion that's occurred in the interim and Carter says 'Wow' at the sight of Kate in a dress, she gives him short shrift, throwing him out of her office and telling him that he'll be cleaning the toilets with a toothbrush if she hears any more out of him. After a brief conversation with Shindi, she then asks him to leave as she keeps a spare set of clothes in her cabinet and she's not making first contact in a dress as she likes having pockets. Shindi enthusiastically says 'So do I' and she says, good, then sends him out so she can change.
The main plot of the story centres around a couple of aliens, a mother (Vara) and child (Norei), who have fled from her dictator husband (Jarrak) who is eager to make war on all and sundry with his Empire. She lies, however, and says that the Earth is about to be invaded by a fleet of 2000 Kalvyri ships and that she needs an item that's stored in the Black Archive which is the only thing with which she can defend Earth. The harmonic cannon is powered by Vara's voice and she sings into it in order to use it. (The Kalvyri use their three mouths and sing in order to communicate, although Osgood manages to create some translation software so that Vara can communicate with UNIT in a way both can understand.)
It turns out, however, that Vara lied to Kate about the size of the Kalvyri fleet - it's considerably smaller than 2000 ships. She also lied, insofar as (as Kate puts it) she and her husband 'had a lovers' tiff', and then Vara led him to Earth, knowing the cannon was there (since some Kalvyri visited Earth in the Third Doctor's era) - and Kate is furious that Vara did this since it almost caused an intergalactic war. Jarrak orders Vara and Norei be returned to the capsule in which they fled to Earth otherwise the Kalvyri will destroy the Earth. Osgood and Carter don't want UNIT to acquiesce (they were the ones who made first contact with Vara and Norei and so have more of an emotional attachment to them), but Kate knows they must because it's Vara and Norei or the whole of Earth (including her own children). Osgood says 'It's not fair' and Kate says 'Of course it's not fair, but bleating about it won't help' and she mentions it's two in the morning and they need to get this settled. Osgood flings out of the office in a temper and goes to see Vara and Norei.
When Kate contacts Jarrak to let him know that his ship can collect Vara's capsule he tells her she's doing the only sensible thing and she makes a sarcastic comment about smiling (echoing the earlier conversation with the drunk). Jarrak then talks with great relish and in considerable detail about the punishment Vara will receive. Kate then tries to call off the deal, because she's appalled at Jarrak's proposed punishment, but it's too late.
Vara has talked Osgood into assisting her - not to escape, but to destroy Jarrak and the fleet. Osgood (with Carter's connivance) takes the harmonic cannon to Vara's capsule and conceals it aboard (lying to Shindi and saying that Kate had ordered its return to the Black Archive). Osgood also (with Carter's connivance) contrives to conceal Norei until Vara's capsule has been captured in Jarrak's ship's tractor beam and Vara has used the harmonic cannon to destroy Jarrak and his fleet (and herself in the process).
Kate feels bitterly disappointed in Osgood for betraying her by disobeying her decision regarding Vara and Norei (and because Osgood's actions have now orphaned Norei on an alien world). She goes up to the roof of the Tower to get some fresh air and to try to get a handle on her emotions, but Osgood appears and makes a comment about the view and the sun coming up. She then tells Kate that she did the right thing, 'as indeed you always do' and Kate tells her not to patronise her. Osgood says she'll grab a nap on the sofa but Kate tells her to go home and get some rest as she'll need it.
I love the way this story showcases Kate's leadership skills; how it portrays her struggle as woman in what's effectively a military organisation; how it shows that too many men, whether they're human or alien, can be sexist pigs towards women (in the dinner scene Richard implies that he's expecting to have sex with Kate afterwards - and she's clear that it's not going to happen, even without the alien invasion); and how it shows how lonely Kate's role within UNIT is - especially when someone she's previously trusted implicitly breaks that trust.

Tonight I Wanna Cry
Tumblr media
Imagine you are the daughter of Keith Urban and performing your song Tonight I Wanna Cry in Stockholm, Sweden.
Hej Stockholm (Hello Stockholm) ,” You said with a smile.
Den här låten heter Ikväll jag vill gråta (This song is called Tonight I Wanna Cry),” You said with a smile.
I got the TV on, the sound turned down and a bottle of wine
There's pictures of you and I on the walls around me
The way that it was and could have been surrounds me
I'll never get over you walkin' away) ,” You said with a smile.
Ikväll vill jag gråta (I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain
To hell with my pride, let it fall like rain
From my eyes
Tonight I want to cry) ,” You sang.
Would it help if I turned a sad song on
"All By Myself" would sure hit me hard now that you're gone
Or maybe unfold some old yellow lost love letters
It's gonna hurt bad before it gets better
But I'll never get over you by hidin' this way) ,” You sang.
Ikväll vill jag gråta ( I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain
To hell with my pride, let it fall like rain
From my eyes
Tonight I want to cry),” You said as you continue to play the piano.

To hell with my pride, let it fall like rain
From my eyes
Tonight I want to cry) ,” You sang.
Tack och god natt (Thank you and Good night),” You said with a smile before you walk off the stage.
Fantastic show. Ik that you were Australian but I didn't know that you can speak Swedish ,” A voice said.
You turn around and see .
Bill , “ You said with a smile.
Hi ,” Bill said as he smiled at you .
Yeah. It had taken me like two weeks to learn the Swedish Language,” You said with a smile.
Impressive,” Bill said with a smile.
Thank you,” You smiled.

Re-Fancast (1): Dacey Mormont (Bridget Regan)
Dacey Mormont was the oldest daughter of Lady Maege Mormont and heir to Bear Island.
Dacey is described as a lanky woman with almost two rods and a span in height. Despite her complexion, Dacey looked elegant wearing dresses and dancing.
Dacey rides south against the Lannisters alongside Robb Stark. She is named a battlemate and personal guard to the king during the Battle of the Whispering Forest.
Being with her mother, Lady Maege, one of the few women in Robb's army, they establish a friendship with Catelyn, being able to understand her pain as a mother.
Dacey is among the northern nobility who marches to The Twins to attend the wedding of Lord Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey. She maintains that she has fought in every battle with Robb and that Robb has won them all. During the wedding party, Dacey dances with her king. Edwyn Frey's refusal to dance with her is one of the last signs of tension before the Freys turn on their guests and murder them. Dacey manages to run away from Ser Benfrey Frey, throwing a jug of wine in his face, but is killed when Ser Ryman Frey deals an ax blow to his belly.
Both she and her mother and sisters show a strength and courage that is not "typical" of noble women, Dacey is both a warrior and a lady, different from Brienne (who feels neither male nor female).

There were lamprey pies
C. Sold me to Madame C., who keeps a large flower-garden. Another may remark inconveniences, and, indeed, real evils, in it, of which we

So, also, evils which, upon first acquaintance, revolted our whole nature, and appeared intolerable, custom almost makes us forget even to see. P. S.—It might have been stated above that on this estate there are about one hundred and sixty blacks. Stout new gates had gone up first, to replace those that had been burned. Then the collapsed roof of the Great Hall had been cleared away and a new one raised hurriedly in its stead. As the Lord of the Dreadfort slipped out, attended by the three maesters, other lords and captains rose to follow. Hother Umber, the gaunt old man called Whoresbane, went grim-faced and scowling. The soup was made with eggs and lemons, the long green peppers stuffed with cheese and onions. There were lamprey pies, capons glazed with honey, a whiskerfish from the bottom of the Greenblood that was so big it took four serving men to carry it to table. Axell Florent was making a toast as Jon took his place upon the dais. “To King Stannis and his wife, Queen Selyse, Light of the North!” Ser Axell bellowed. There is no remedy. This discipline belongs to the state of slavery. In two minutes she came to herself. The cab in which Alyosha had come was standing not far off; he called it. It’s like that rule in the Latin grammar, do you remember: the significance takes precedence of the ending. But I believe I’m still drunk from this morning. She began to be feverish and delirious. I looked at her white little face, at her colourless lips, at her black hair, which had been done up carefully and pomaded, though it had come down on one side, at her whole get-up, at the pink bows which still remained here and there on her dress — and I had no doubt at all about the revolting facts. Of course they shall be trained at arms. They shall also churn butter, hew firewood, muck stables, empty chamber pots, and run messages … and in between they pantofi sport cu scai barbati will be drilled with spear and sword and longbow.”. “No. I know nothing special. Outside the pyramid, it began to rain. Ser Barristan sat along in the dark, listening. I’ll tell you about it afterwards. How many times I began hinting to him to forgive her; I daren’t say it right out, so I begin to hint at it, in a tactful way. Pennytree proved to be a much larger village than he had anticipated. The war had been here too; blackened orchards ghete galbene piele and the scorched shells of broken houses testified to that. The defendant appealed to a higher court, and the decision was reversed, on the ground that the hirer has for the time being all the rights of the master. The remarks of Judge Ruffin are so characteristic, and so strongly express the conflict between the feelings of the humane judge and the logical necessity of a strict interpreter of slave-law, that we shall quote largely from it. In one of the three windows on the ground floor there was a miniature red coffin — as a sign that a working coffin-maker lived there. The windows of the upper storey were extremely small and perfectly square with dingy-green broken bocanci grisport 480 panes, kimono long femme grande taille through which I caught a glimpse of pink cotton curtains. The larger, heavier, slower ships made for Lys, to sell the captives taken on the Shields, the women and children of Lord Hewett’s Town and other islands, along with such men who decided they would sooner yield than die. Victarion had only contempt for such weaklings. The warg stopped beneath a tree and sniffed, his grey-brown fur dappled by shadow. A sigh of piney wind brought the man-scent to him, over fainter smells that spoke of fox and hare, seal and stag, even wolf. Two years after, the General Assembly, by a sudden and very unexpected movement, passed a vote exscinding, without trial, from the communion of the church, four synods, comprising the most active and decided anti-slavery portions chanel ágynemű of the church. The reasons alleged were, doctrinal differences and ecclesiastical cizme vara cu toc practices inconsistent with Presbyterianism. Underneath her furs the female was just skin and bones, but her dugs were full of milk. The sweetest meat was on the pup. Ole folks die. In the meek and submissive haste of the poor decrepit old man there was so much to provoke compassion, so much to wring the heart, that the whole company, from Adam Ivanitch downward, took a different view of the position at once. It was evident that the old man, far from being capable of insulting anyone, realized that he might be turned out from anywhere like a beggar.. “0-oh! I ask you because I think I know the house. So much the better. Jaime, I need Jaime. But if her twin was in the city, why had he not come to her? Eternal Love (Ovid, Amores 1.3)
I only pray for what's fair:
the girl who just ensnared me -
make her love me, or make me love her
forever - is that too much to ask?
Make her yearn for my love -
Venus, hear my prayers!
*
Take me -
I'll devote myself to you eternally,
take me -
I'll love with pure loyalty.
*
I have no grand, ancestral name,
I have no noble forebearers,
I have no plows to fertilise my land,
and both my parents are frugally tight, but
*
Apollo and the muses, and
Bacchus, inventor of wine, is on my side, and so is
Love, who gives me to you.
My loyalty is endless, my morals without blame,
my honesty is bare, my modesty blushes.
I'm not delighted by thousands of girls - I'm no fickle lover.
*
I swear, you'll be my only love for eternity.
Let me live with you for as long as fate allows,
you still at my side, grieving, as I die.
Let me make you the happy subject of my poems;
my poems will bring you glory.
*
Through poems, Io, terrified of her horns, earned her name,
as did her lover, disguised as a bird,
and the girl who was carried across the sea by a mock-bull
as she held onto its bent horns with soft hands,
*
and we will be sung about in poems all over the world, you and me,
and our names will be joint forever.
***
iusta precor: quae me nuper praedata puella est,
aut amet aut faciat cur ego semper amem!
a, nimium volui - tantum patiatur amari;
audierit nostras tot Cytherea preces!
accipe, per longos tibi qui deserviat annos;
accipe, qui pura norit amare fide!
si me non veterum commendant magna parentum
nomina, si nostri sanguinis auctor eques,
nec meus innumeris renovatur campus aratris,
temperat et sumptus parcus uterque parens -
at Phoebus comitesque novem vitisque repertor

et nulli cessura fides, sine crimine mores
nudaque simplicitas purpureusque pudor.
non mihi mille placent, non sum desultor amoris:
tu mihi, si qua fides, cura perennis eris.
tecum, quos dederint annos mihi fila sororum,
vivere contingat teque dolente mori!
te mihi materiem felicem in carmina praebe -
provenient causa carmina digna sua.
carmine nomen habent exterrita cornibus Io

nos quoque per totum pariter cantabimur orbem,
iunctaque semper erunt nomina nostra tuis.
