~ Haven't drawn anything particularly serious lately, so have this dump of drawings!! Been experimenting mostly on Magma, but the Venus study was done on Medibang! Feels weird drawing with a proper pen after using my fingers for so long. In other news, have some Rise!Mona Lisa concepts, along with some of my Venus AU ideas!! Cleo needs a few more concepts, but honestly her main one is so iconic to me lmao For my Rise!Mona idea........ I haven't fully fleshed her out but she's definitely a natural yokai, and she's very definitely the "spooky sorceress" to match Raphs "god I love my wife" energy

A redesign of Venus De Milo. I might not use her in my main au (since there’s too many goddamn turtles in it) but she might be present in a secondary au. I don’t have much for her story. What I do have is that she now has a completely separate backstory from the turtles, was originally human, and was mutated by maybe Baxter Stockman. (I don’t really like Stockboy, so I might do the same thing they did with Casey and add two.) She still knows magic but she isn’t considered a “Shinobi” (or at least it isn’t rubbed in your face 24/7) I’m thinking she went to New York to search for the man that killed her father. (IDK lmao)

Hello Rise fandom - I present my version of Venus!! For the past few weeks I've been absolutely obsessed with the lost sisters, so I finally decided to make my own versions of them. Decided to start with Big Mama's Assistant and I'll get around to the other lost sister in a few weeks 🐢 👀

I based Venus largely off her NM and IDW looks with a bit of Jennika thrown in for fun. Tried to stick as close to her canon look as Big Mama's Assistant as possible while giving my own spin to her. This is how imagine her to look once reunited with her family! So here's a lil more info on Venus...

Venus is ofc the sister raised by Big Mama who became her Assistant. The night of the mutation, Venus got caught up in an explosion in Draxum's lab which led to her getting injured. When Big Mama finds her, she gets the little turtle help but Venus nonetheless becomes a double amputee. And Big Mama is still a little sentimental about Lou - she thinks about how much he loved art because of his mother, and sees the turtle as her own little treasure and so names her after the Venus de Milo. There's much more to her backstory than that but - spoilers! You'll have to check out my fic for more (and I've already spoiled more here than I've revealed on AO3 oops lol). But here's a few more facts about her!

I've decided that the Disaster Twins are actually a trio - surprise! Leo, Donnie, and Venus are the Disaster Triplets because I just find it adorable and she just gives me such middle child energy tbh.

Venus' ninpo is very much tied to her amputation and weapons. She can manifest constructs of her arms, similar to Raph being able to copy himself. But she can also teleport those constructs around and use copies of her kaiken as well, kinda like Leo and his swords. As you can see on her character sheet, her ninpo manifests as flower petals! This is because I really wanted her to take after her grandmother aka Splinter's mom, Atsuko - thus the petals, and also where I got the shape of her eyes.

Also her favorite parent is absolutely Draxum and yes it drives Splinter up a wall, in particular because of how much Venus reminds him of his mother.

I've got so many more notes than just this but I really wanted to share my girl - give her some love if you want and feel free to check out my fic as well! I'll be updating more regularly in June when I have time to actively write. Might get to the other sister's character sheet first, but who knows! 💕💕

Mona & her siblings have NOT had an easy life. (very basic lore is that: Mona (middle) is the oldest, David (left) is the middle child and Venus (right) is the youngest.

(and yes, David is named after the sculpture cause I wanted to keep the art-piece name theme, and that is why Venus is Mona's sister. cause her being a sis to the turtles and doesn't have an artist name rather an art piece name)

My take on Big Mama’s Assistant/Fifth Turtle. I wanted to adapt Venus bc for 30 years she has haunted my brain and I wanted to make her a smidge less terrifying. 😂

Technically her claws are her weapons, but she either manifests them purely through Hamato Ninpo or (not shown) augmented robot limbs provided by Donnie.

Personality-wise, she’s either the Super Serious at-any-cost barely-reformed villain type, or the Agent of Chaos with very little in between as she adjusts to her new life. She and Cassandra are two peas in a pod and bond over being brainwashed by villains.

I didn’t want to make her Girl Leo™️ so instead of teal/light blue her color is black. She’s a spiny soft shell turtle. I purposefully gave her visual cues similar to Donnie and Leon so I could make this joke:

My Rise! Venus and Jennika

The girlies<333 @roninreverie is the origin of the big brain idea of Venus getting adopted by Grandpa Sho and Jennika Big Mama's Assistant and the mystic abilities

I chose Kemp Ridley turtle for Venus because I liked how similar its color scheme was to idw Venus, I didn't realize until looking at roninreverie's Venus that she was the same turtle species so I tried making Jennika a different one by making a list of semi-aquatic turtles (to reference how the fandom like to make BM's assistant a slider like Leo) then narrowing that list down to 7(because I had 7 sea turtles to choose from for Venus) then using a random name picker to narrow it down to 3 and chose from there

And then

I ended up choosing a painted turtle.

I DIDN'T RELAIZE TILL I WAS TRYING TO DECIDE COLOR PALLETTE FOR HER AND LOOKING AT RONINREVERIE'S FOR INSPO AND READ HER REF SHEET AGAIN AUGH

I was in too deep to change it tho, it was just written in the stars Rise! Jennika is to be a painted turtle I guess (this reminds of when I shipped Mikey with my spider guy oc and discovered MilesxMikey a few days later)

The eldest of the turtles

Same age as April

Uses her classic weapon of tessen

Shorty but built like a brick shithouse

Girly girl (affectionate)

I didn't mean to give her gyaru like makeup but now that I think about it I think I think she'd love that kind of subculture

Her cloaking brooch form looks like a mix of Yoshi and Atsuko, which if Sho had been alive to see would really fuck him up me thinks

Her mystic ability is water bending!

She's also a really strong martial artist, had a pilgrimage to China to learn Kung Fu (also tie in to prev incarnations being raised Chinese)

While she grew up knowing Hamato traditions and Hamato ninpō, she stopped practicing when Grandpa Sho passed away out of fear she wouldn't/would contact his spirit and that's when she went on a warrior's pilgrimage to China

Hence why she was unaware of her brother's and Splinter's existence and Shredder's defeat

Can lift Raph in one hand

Wears her ninja mask occasionally, because she sometimes wacks herself in the face with the braid but refuses to get rid of it

Somehow both the most clumsy and graceful of the turtles

Has confused/complicated feelings about Splinter, he's technically her dad but also the grandson that shirked his duties for "Hollywood Land" and causd great pain to her beloved Grandpa Sho

But also was kidnapped and then mutated and had to raise 4 baby mutants on his own so who's to say if he would have stayed away forever or tried to reach out

She grew up with an image of Yoshi that would have been like a wayward big brother or cousin to her

And then it turns out that that's her dad which is a big Hm. moment for her

Older than Raph but younger than the elder sisters of the Hamato Clan

Assassin and Big Mama's Assistant

She teaches Elisabetta poisons

Uses tekkō-kagi and senbon

Not a fan of the ninja masks and only wore it because of a x5 puppy dog eyes from her siblings

Her human form looks like a mix of Karai and Atsuko, and I have her 12 Karai's hair style because it is a Look

Similar to a dad not wanting a pet and then becoming obsessed with it, she wasn't super into being a family with the turtles at first but is now ride or die for them that she hides under her bad girl attitude

Mikey knows

Donnie looks up to her the most, for he too holds the bad boy image (lies)

Her existence was a big driving force for Big Mama's redemption arc like how Mikey was for Draxum and Kimie for Sho(although I don't think he really needed one)

She thinks of Splinter more as her mom's ex(?) Boyfriend than her dad. And the less said about Draxum the better, her and Leo have roast sessions about him

Golden web mystic ( think spiderman)

Like a cat in how she bonds with her family, very private and not very social but she enjoys simply spending time in their presence with no interaction

While Kimie makes Plautilla her middle name like how the boys have their colors/Japanese names as middle names Míng Huì views Artemisia as her nickname rather than a new name hence the quotations

Speaking of their artist's names; they picked them out as a sort of bonding activity with the boys+April, to get them closer as siblings.

Plautilla's favorite nephew is Eijirou as they both rock tessen and are heavy hitters, tanks and gentle souls; while Artemisia doesn't actually really have a favorite and likes her nieces and nephews equally, although she spends the most time with Sandro and Elise because they spend the most time with Big Mama out of the next gen kids and she has the most things in common with those two.

I genuinly love writing Leon and Venus. They have the most dynamic ever. Leon drags Venus on her taste in music. Venus threatens to spoil his telenovelas. They are an unstoppable force in battle. They can't get along without arguing. Venus makes fun of his wrinkles. Leon laughs at her inability to do makeup. They start floating when debating about a certain topic. They are both wrong but that won't stop them from throwing hands. They hunt eachother for sport. They will skin you alive if you blink at them too hard. They have their own language and code. They have no idea what the fuck the other is even talking abt. They are besties. They are worsties. They will destroy everything if they lose eachother. They will sell eachother's soul for a single stale cornchip and feed it to a seagull. They get wasted together and cry. Leon won't let Venus adopt anymore kids (like a hypocrite, Venus says). They are eachother's impulse control. They have been banned from multiple places. They love eachother. They are massive hypocrites.

They are siblings your honour.
