Interesting pairing! I feel like Blue would be pretty good for Cross and visa-versa, but they've both got a lot of character development to go through before they can be like that with each other.
Cross is a dedicated soldier, but one that knows when to stop. That's really good for Blue.
Blue is really positive and is probably really good at comforting people, which is good for Cross.
I'm imagining them making competitions about who can do the most chores the fastest, since Cross is a big Acts Of Service guy and Blue just likes to get things done.
A Vibe!
. . . Though Stretch would definitely be a point of frustration and annoyance. Blue would have to move in with Cross to get Stretch to get off of his back.
( Only my interpretation! Feel free to think whatever you want! )
Not gonna lie, my immediate thought is "toxic relationship."
While I can see where people would like it, I. . . feel like Nightmare needs space and Ink doesn't know how to give that.
Neither are very good at communication and Ink doesn't know what boundaries are. He probably pries too much, makes Nightmare uncomfortable, etc.
However, I can also see Nightmare being bad for Ink, too. Not only is he negativity incarnate, but he also makes trouble in all of the AUs that Ink probably really likes.
It'd be a never-ending cycle of anger, boundaries pushed, and revenge.
So:
Definitely Not A Vibe. (If we're talking about healthy relationships, because this could be a wonderful toxic relationship)
'course this is my interpretation; ship whatever y'want! :D
reminder to myself and whoever else needs it to stop feeding the machine. I'm aware I'm yelling into the void but look at the past couple years of games. They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.
Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.
