J = Jack off (masturbation headcanon)
Not that he thinks it’s some sin or something like that, he doesn’t see much sense in doing it. His mind focuses on other things unless the sexual tension becomes overwhelming enough for him to relieve it. Much to his disadvantage, however, when you seep into his mind, occupying his thoughts that were reserved for concerns of less carnal nature, he finds himself not knowing how to feel about it.
Despite you being the reason he can’t retreat to Ramshackle’s isolated atmosphere anymore, he isn’t averse to how lively you’ve made it. You’re a synonym of trouble, one that is buoyant and vibrant, however. You occupy his thoughts more often than he’d like to admit.
He’s a bit confused on why, but that doesn’t deter him from stroking his aching cock to the thought of you.
K = Kink (one or more of their kinks)
Edging (giving), but he didn’t realize he’s into it until he noticed a pattern after a while. It wasn’t intentional the way he kept his movements slow and deliberate; it’s because he adores you and wants to take his time pleasuring you—that’s it, really. You grow needy, daring to thread your fingers into his hair and pull. He finds it amusing how you scrunch your nose and moan for him breathlessly.
To no one’s surprise: breeding. He has you pinned under him intending to breed you. It’s an instinct amplified by his draconian blood; he can’t help it. You get a handsome, otherworldly fae whose heart is devoted to you, and in return, you get bred. It kind of comes with the package.
L = Location (favorite places to do the do)
Anywhere he knows no one will see. He doesn’t want anyone walking in on you because your bare body to him is a sight only he should have the grace to witness. His possessiveness oozes to that extent, too. When deciding where to do it, he must consider his status as a future king. If there’s evidence or rumors running around about the heir being improper in public, he could get into trouble.
M = Motivation (what turns them on, gets them going)
When you wear jewelry. The shiny mineral catches his attention. Beautiful, shiny mineral + you (also appealing to his eyes) activates a part of his dragon brain to go nyoom haywire. Also, considering he likes your neck itself, the embellishment of a necklace provides is, for him, as if you were offering yourself as a pretty present awaiting for him to unwrap. Many bite marks will result on your neck.
N = No (something they wouldn’t do, turn offs)
Not fond of impact play, either receiving or giving. If it’s pain that gets you off, he can attain that through other means, such as biting and overstim.
Also, no sharing. The dragon part of his brain is averse to the idea of someone else touching you intimately.
O = Oral (preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc.)
Don’t be surprised if he’s a bit clueless the first time. Take your time to guide him, show him how and what you like; he’ll be more than glad to follow through, placing your pleasure as his priority when his mouth and fingers play with you. Be warned, though, once he has learned your weaknesses, he’ll exploit them.
When it comes to the other way around, you kneeling between his legs and stroking his cock, it doesn’t take much for him to orgasm. The novelty of the sensations you evoke with your tongue makes it relatively easy for you to attain that.
He’s more intrigued to find what makes you gasp and tremble, so he prefers to give you oral.
P = Pace (are they fast and rough? slow and sensual? etc.)
His pace tends to begin sensually, taking his time to savor you. He wants to cherish having you in his arms without fear of getting interrupted; he can demonstrate how much he thirsts for your warmth. He’ll take it slow at first. When the heat clouds his rationale, the pace quickens; that doesn’t stop him from showing tenderness during it, though. He’ll be holding your hand, a thumb caressing the back.
The pace roughens and becomes demanding when he’s jealous—yes, the future king of Briar Valley expresses such emotions—and it’s worse because that’s an emotion he’s not used to feeling. He’s a prince destined to take after a nation, a talented and powerful mage, and a student who excels. What is there to envy? Wait…what do you mean someone was courting you?
Good luck.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
If he sees you’re desperate, there’s a chance he’ll cave in. He prefers the sessions to be longer because 5 minutes aren’t enough to show you his love, but if you insist, he’ll please you. On the other hand, if he’s feeling like being a little tease, he’ll make you wait for it.
R = Risk (are they game to experiment? do they take risks? etc.)
If you’re one to come up with suggestions repeatedly, he’ll look forward to your proposals. Malleus is intrigued by what you can come up with, and he’s open to your whims. Then again, true to a fae nature, he can be impish depending on your request.

Tumblr media
Bridgerton House buzzes with a quiet excitement as news travels from the servants' quarters to your family: the Viscount has come back. Edmund II, affectionately known as ‘little Edmund’ to his Grandmama Violet, waits impatiently near the front door of the estate, peaking out of the large windows. He gleefully waits, practically bouncing in anticipation, as he spots the carriage making its way down the cobblestone drive. He reaches down, his tiny fingers fiddling with the edge of his knee-high socks, a furrow of concentration etched across his boyish face. At just six years old, he feels the weight of responsibility, eager to emulate his father’s grace and dignity. The spinning top, a vibrant swirl of colors, lies neglected on a nearby table, a gift from Uncle Benedict that usually commands his full attention. But today, he sacrifices its joyful whirl for his father’s return.
The door opens, and little Edmund grins wide, spotting his father immediately. He idolizes Anthony deeply — and feels an aching absence when he's away. Edmund cherishes the moments spent with his Papa in the quiet of his study, pretending to write his own ledgers in a childlike scrawl. In contrast, his father diligently works on the genuine ones. He is often reminded that one day, when he grows big and strong like Papa, he will occupy the same desk. The six-year-old offers a swift, polite bow before darting forward and melting into a tender embrace in Anthony’s waiting arms.
“Hello, my boy!” Anthony smiles, squeezing Edmund II affectionately before placing him back down. Anthony recalls being held by his own father like this, filling him with a wistful, bittersweet feeling.
He hears the tiny pitter-patter of her feet on the pinewood of the hallway, bringing him out of his nostalgia.
"Papa!" Charlotte giggles, her three-year-old voice ringing out joyfully. Anthony is overcome with love at the sight of her - a flurry of ribbons and curls. He lifts her into his arms and twirls her around, prompting loud laughter from his daughter.
“There is my little lady,” He gently kisses her forehead, cuddling her close to him. Charlotte takes in the comforting scent of her Papa. She leans back, placing two chubby hands on his cheeks. He beams warmly in response, gazing into the eyes that mirror his own. “I missed you much, my darling girl. I hope you and Brother have been good while I have been gone?”
“Yes, Papa! I was the man of the house, just like you said to be,” Edmund says, holding up his head proudly, hands behind his back just as he sees Anthony do repeatedly.
He places Charlotte back down as the servants discreetly take his coat and gloves. A footman stumbles in behind him, swaying as though he is tipsy, desperately attempting to peer over a towering stack of cumbersome boxes. One box teeters precariously, and in a heroic yet clumsy effort, he lunges to catch it, all while trying to maintain his gracefulness and suppress a bead of sweat that threatens to betray him.
Anthony barely turns, “Oh, Ephraim, please take the packages to the drawing room.”
“Yes, my Lord.”
Anthony holds Charlotte’s tiny hand while Edmund eagerly runs into the drawing room to see which fantastical box is his. The Viscount never forgets to bring gifts home for his family when away on business.
The afternoon sun casts a warm glow over the drawing room as you sit in a high-backed chair, concentrating on your embroidery hoop. The needle moves deftly through the fabric, creating patterns of flowers and leaves. The creak of the door disturbs the quiet, and you glance up, curious to see who enters.
“Mama! Mama! Papa is back from Dover!” your son announces. “And he has bought parcels! Many!”
You chuckle softly, shaking your head in amusement as Ephraim carefully places everything on the floor. His weariness is evident. With a respectful bow, he addresses you, "Lady Bridgerton."
"Thank you, Ephraim. You may go now."
Then, you see your husband enter with your daughter by his side, and your heart fills with warmth. Oh, how deeply you love Anthony Bridgerton. When you first fell for him, it was more akin to puppy love. But now, you have watched him grow into a strong Viscount and an adoring father. He has become everything he ever promised to be - and you take great pride in being his Viscountess.
He approaches you with a gentle smile, bending down to softly kiss the back of your hand. You giggle, feeling like a young debutante being courted for the very first time.
“Wife.”
“Husband,” you beam.
Anthony’s lips curl into a tranquil grin as he reaches out, pulling you into a warm hug. The scent of his cologne, a subtle blend of cedar and citrus, envelopes you as he leans in for a tender kiss.
“Yuck,” Edmund chirps, occupying himself with the spinning top he had been playing with again. You and Anthony glance at each other before splitting your sides with laughter.
“My Dear, it is delightful to see you.”
“I have missed you so, Anthony. We all have.”
“Do come; gifts await each of you,” he announces, gesturing toward the pile of wrapped items.
You sink into the sofa's plush cushions, watching Edmund settle himself cross-legged on the carpet, a spot he always claims. Charlotte climbs up beside you, her legs swinging freely above the floor, unable to reach it with her tiny feet.
Anthony gives you the first box. "For my Viscountess," he says, watching eagerly as you take it in. The present is wrapped exquisitely in thick paper and tied with a bow in your favorite color. You smile as you gently undo the wrapping, placing the ribbon beside you. A delighted gasp falls from your lips as you behold what is inside — a fine hair comb with a delicate scroll-like filigree design. It is embellished by a beautiful sapphire, bordered by two salt-water pearls.
Next, Edmund is handed his box. He does not take as much gentleness as you, tearing the paper impatiently. He holds up his gift, getting up to run over and give Anthony another hug. The toy knight in his hand carries the scent of fresh-cut wood, mingling with a faint hint of varnish and paint. “A brave fellow for my brave boy,” your husband announces. Edmund examines it with awe, smiling wide at his father.
“He is wonderful, Papa!”
Anthony picks up the most prominent package and sits next to Charlotte. The bundle is carefully wrapped in soft linen and tied with a luxurious silk ribbon that glistens in the light. He gently assists her in opening the gift, his fingers working together with her tiny hands to unveil the hidden treasure within. As the wrapping falls away, it reveals a stunning porcelain doll. The doll's face is delicately painted, her features artfully detailed, with brown curls cascading down, mirroring Charlotte’s own. She even wears miniature stays and a muslin gown styled in the elegant French fashion, complete with intricate lace and tiny, perfectly placed buttons. The doll embodies a sense of grace and charm, a perfect little companion for a highborn girl, brought to life with exquisite artisanship.
Little Charlotte’s eyes light up wide, and she immediately clutches the doll to her chest. “She shall sleep with me tonight!” she declares with all her authority. Anthony nods and plants a soft kiss on her head.
“Do not forget to name her Charlotte.”
“Oh, I shall name her y/n. Like Mama!” Charlotte retorts, running a hand over the doll's shiny curls. “She is pretty like Mama, too.”
Your heart glows as you place an adoring hand on your chest, leaning over to give your daughter the tiniest peck on her cheek.
Anthony then presents a final, more delicate package—a handmade baby bonnet—for your soon-to-arrive child. He gently places his hand on your belly with a sense of wonder.
“For the little one, not yet arrived, but never far from thought.”
“Oh, Anthony,” you smile, holding the teeny hat. “It will be perfect.” You place your hand atop his. Just then, you feel the faintest feeling - like a flit of hummingbird wings inside your abdomen, followed by a swift kick to your ribcage. “Ah!” you pant with a soft laugh.
Anthony’s eyes go wide as saucers, realizing that he has just felt your unborn baby move. “Well, someone has taken a fancy to their gift.”
Later, in your private chambers, you sit on the plush velvet stool, drawing a brush through your hair with deliberate strokes. A smile tugs at your lips, and your eyes glint with mischief as you tease him, your voice laced with affection and a hint of challenge.
“Do you suppose she shall remember the names of all her dolls, My Lord? I believe we’ve reached fifty.”
Anthony slowly unfastens the buttons of his waistcoat. A soft titter escapes his lips, his eyes crinkling at the corners in amusement at your words.
“Fifty-one, in fact. And each entirely necessary.”
Your eyebrow arches upward as a smirk tugs at the corner of your lips, a flicker of amusement dancing in your eyes. “Entirely?”
Now clad only in his breeches, Anthony approaches you quietly from behind. He wraps his arms around you, pulling you into an embrace, his chin on your shoulder. Together, you both look into the mirror. You set your brush aside, your fingers curling around his forearm, feeling the warmth of his skin. You closed your eyes for a brief moment, hanging onto this moment. His voice, when he speaks, is delicately adoring.
“She is my only daughter. My little girl. And this one came from Dover. It would have been most unkind to return without it.”
“If this child is a girl as well,” he murmurs, planting a soft peck on the crown of your head, “I shall be compelled to procure an entire nursery of dolls.”
You chuckle murmuringly, leaning back against his chest. “You’ll raise a house of spoiled daughters,” you admonish facetiously.
“I should be the most fortunate man alive, then.”

hi!!! for the prompts cartoon-patterned plasters with tasm!peter?? maybe patching him up with a spider-man plaster and him being like really???
I hope it’s ok but I went a slightly different route with the prompt!
Having a young daughter means you’re always prepared for any number of disasters. You carry at least three different types of snacks with you at all times, you keep a coloring book and a picture book in every bag you own, and you always have a pack of bandaids with you. Most of the time, you let Charlie pick out which bandaids she wants, trying to avoid meltdowns and tantrums because her bandages are boring.
She’s been gravitating towards all things girly for the past few years, living in tutus and fairy costumes and wanting nothing but pink and sparkly everything. The few times you’ve had to restock on bandaids, she’d pick out designs starring princesses and vibrant animal print, and it might seem a little silly, but you think that the designs make her feel better whenever you have to use them.
You’d used the very last bandaid in the pack yesterday, when Charlie had taken a tumble on the playground and scraped her knee, and while she’s adorned with her princess bandage and feeling much better, you know it’s only a matter of time before she needs another one, and you also know you have a small window of time between picking Charlie up from kindergarten and her needing a snack before she has a meltdown.
“C’mon, Charles, pick out which one you want,” you tell your daughter, mostly just to hear her giggle at the use of her faux full name, but you really do hope she can make a decision quickly. You’d given her a granola bar that she ate on your walk to the store, but you know she’ll be requesting another snack soon, and that she’ll want something different, so you really have to get home to avoid a tantrum.
“Too many choices,” she says, looking very serious as she investigates all of her options, before she gasps excitedly and grabs a box of the shelf.
“Are you sure?” You ask, turning the box around in your hand after Charlie had all but shoved it at you. It’s completely different from what she’d been interested in lately, and while you don’t mind buying it for her and supporting her new interests, you want to avoid a meltdown when the next time she gets hurt, her bandaid isn’t pink.
“I’m sure, mama,” she reassures you, stretching up to grab your hand and try to pull you to the checkout, “let’s go now.”
Knowing when you’ve lost a battle, you let her lead you to the front of the store, paying for the package before slipping it in your bag and making it home just in time for Charlie to ask for another snack. You were so focused on feeding her, you’d forgotten all about the bandaids until Peter pulls them from your bag when Charlie runs up to him, crying and pointing to her scraped knee. He doesn’t even think before opening the box and ripping open a packet, sealing the bandaid to her knee with a kiss. It’s not until after, when he’d dried her tears and pressed kisses all over her face to send her running away in a fit of giggles, that he gets a chance to inspect the box.
“No way,” he huffs, turning the box over in his hands, looking at the image of the designs included plastered on the back.
“It’s what she wanted,” you respond, even though he wasn’t really asking.
“I didn’t even know they made these,” he says, placing the box of Spiderman-patterned bandaids back into your bag and shaking his head at the absurdity of it all, wondering what Charlie would do if she knew the truth.

BUCK/TOMMY - Happy Birthday, Tommy!
Buck had been working tirelessly on a special surprise for Tommy's upcoming birthday - a heartfelt gift that he hoped would reflect his love and appreciation for him. He had spent weeks carefully selecting every detail, pouring his creativity into creating a unique book filled with memories and moments they had shared. As the big day approached, Buck could hardly contain his excitement. He had found the most beautiful wrapping paper decorated with colorful patterns, and he imagined how thrilled Tommy would be when he opened the present.
However, the evening took an unexpected turn when Tommy came home from his shift. As he entered their bedroom, he was surprised to find Buck sitting on their bed, surrounded by a chaotic assortment of knick-knacks and photographs that Buck had collected. There was an uneasy tension in the air. During dinner, Tommy noticed that Buck seemed unusually nervous, his hands fidgeting with his fork and his eyes frequently drifting to the floor. Worried, Tommy began to ask him what was wrong. But before he could get any answers, Buck abruptly stood up, his chair scraping the floor, and hurried upstairs, leaving Tommy puzzled and worried about what could be troubling him. It wasn't even a minute before he returned.
"Evan? What's going on and what's that behind your back?"
"Here, this is for you. It may be the earliest birthday present you've ever got, Tommy, but I can't wait. Happy birthday." Buck's voice almost broke as he spoke.
Tommy took a deep breath, his heart racing as he reached for the beautifully wrapped package. The vibrant colors of the paper shimmered in the soft glow of the room, and he could barely contain his excitement as he slowly tore away the delicate layers. As he peeled back the last of the wrapping, he revealed a collection of pages filled with heartfelt memories and notes that Buck had painstakingly compiled.
Overwhelmed with emotion, he blinked back tears as he read the heartfelt messages. Each page was a testament to their journey together, filled with photographs, inside jokes and moments that cherished their love. A single tear slipped down his cheek as he turned to Buck, his voice barely above a whisper, "Evan, this is... incredible. It means the world to me. You mean the world to me."
Without hesitation, Tommy pulled Buck into his lap, feeling the warmth of his love envelop him. He gently nudged Buck's nose with his own in a playful gesture, a familiar sign of affection between them. "I love you, Evan Buckley," he said, his voice filled with sincerity and emotion.
Buck's eyes sparkled as he smiled back, his heart swelling with love. "I love you too," he replied softly, their lips barely an inch apart. With a gentle lean, they came together in a tender and passionate kiss, sealing their promises to each other.
As they sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world outside faded away, leaving only the two in their little bubble of warmth and happiness. The cares of the day faded into a distant memory as they found solace in their love, completely lost in the moment.

Fantasy Games - And My Struggle With Them.
This might be a surprise, but I struggle with fantasy games, especially high fantasy. I come across them a lot when I’m browsing Itch.io, and after a while, they start to blur together, more so than any other genre. I understand that for many folks, games like D&D were their entry into the hobby, and making a fantasy game is often the first step a game designer makes when they try to develop their own system. But I didn’t get into ttrpgs via a traditional fantasy game, and I think that regardless of the rules that accompany the game, I don’t get very excited about games that have knights and elves and dwarves and wizards.
As you might imagine, this can sometimes make things difficult when folks ask for fantasy-related ttrpg recommendations. Fantasy is a genre that encompasses so many different styles of play and genre, from gritty dungeon crawling to super-powered adventure to sad and tragic epics. Yet, because most of those sub-genres rarely appeal to me, I haven’t looked closely at very many of the games in my Sword & Sorcery & So Much More folder, which means trudging through the items there takes a lot longer when answering fantasy-oriented asks.
That being said, I don’t want to ignore fantasy games completely; I know that so many people find joy and fun in games set in a traditional fantasy world. So I’m going to talk about a few fantasy games that are very different from each-other and have very specific goals in mind, and I encourage people who see this to re-blog with their own favourite fantasy games and tell us what makes them special.
Also - if you have a fantasy game related request, please be kind if my response isn't all that you hoped it would be!

Tacticians of Ahm, by Meatcastle Games.
Tacticians of Ahm is a tactical combat-focused tabletop roleplaying game in the corrupt3d fantasy world of Ahm.
A bit-rotten blight has appeared in the Northern Sea and from it flows the Corrupt1on, fractured light and shattered shapes sowing chaos across the realm. As Tacticians, you alone are prepared to face the darkness spreading across the lands and reunite the scattered peoples of Ahm.
Tacticians of Ahm is for players who like a really satisfying combat, inspired by games like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics, with grid maps to help you keep track of positioning and distance. This doesn’t meant that combat is long - it’s still fast-paced, using visual indicators like color to help you assess what kinds of things you can do in play: healing, damage, and special effects. Characters have interesting abilities that they gain as they level up, so this game is also probably good for folks who like watching their characters get more and more competent. Right now Meatcastle is grinding away at the game to make it more playable, and more full of art - so getting in on it now means that you’ll get to watch it grow.
Nexalis, by Cezar Capacle.
We invite you to step aboard your enchanted vessel and set sail on the ethereal ocean known as the Nectar. Nexalis calls you on an awe-inspiring journey across a universe filled with countless uncharted islands, each teeming with unique cultures, mysteries, and magical phenomena.
Nexalis is an otherworldly realm where islands drift amidst an endless cosmic ocean of magical plasma, the Nectar. The Nectar, pulsing with vibrant, ever-shifting colors, mirrors the celestial patterns that guide adventurers on their thrilling journeys. At the heart of this sea lies the Celestial Nexus, an entrancing vortex of astral energy that births islands and renews the world in a constant cycle of creation.
Nexalis is a fantasy game, but it’s an example of setting that feels vibrant and unique from traditional fantasy games - and yet it is also highly customizable. The game comes with oracles and random tables that you’ll use to generate interesting locations and problems to deal with as your drifters move from place to place. Characters are packaged in playbooks, compact tropes that will provide players with everything they need to know on a brochure. Finally, the game uses phases, moving from one kind of storytelling to another dependant on the kind of scene you’re about to play through.
Shadow of the Demon Lord, by Schwalb Entertainment.
The End Is Just the Beginning
Sometimes the world needs heroes. But in the desperation of these last days, the world will take all those it can get: heroes, blackguards, madmen, and whoever else is willing to stand against the coming darkness. Will you fight the demons or will you burn it all down and dance among the ashes? Who will you become when the world dies?
Shadow of the Demon Lord opens a door to an imaginary world held in the grip of a cosmic destroyer. Enter a land steeped in the chaos and madness unleashed by the end times, with whole realms overrun by howling herds of beast-men, warped spirits freed from the Underworld, and unspeakable horrors stirred awaken by the Demon Lord’s imminent arrival.
For fans of the grim, the gory, and the gritty, the setting of Shadow of the Demon Lord is post-apocalyptic, chaotic and messy. The presentation is representative of a traditional RPG: a big book with high-end full-colour art and plenty of lore to accompany the rules. You create your character using pieces of Ancestry to help you determine your attributes, and your Profession to determine your skills. The game is based on the d20, and relies on stat modifiers to try and get you over most rolls, and a milestone-like levelling system that ensures that everyone who plays levels up at the same time.
Shadow of the Demon Lord is very clearly a vehicle for horror, so if your table is one that likes being confronted by all kinds of horrible things in a hopeless quest to save… well something of the world, then you might like this game.
Songbirds 3e, by snow.
Songbirds 3e is a tabletop roleplaying game about undeath, supernatural powers, and the blue dreams of the moon. In the game, you create a strange survivor of the world who was chosen (or cursed) by Death. Spirits aren't able to pass on to the afterlife and grow monstrous with each passing day. You know the songs to send them on. You have the abilities that help you find them. You are the canary in the coal mine.
Songbirds is full of danger. It carries with it a tried and true method of OSR world-building in that the world makes itself known in the pieces of the game that you decide to pick up - the character curses you roll for, the ways damage can hurt you, the gear you carry, and the roll tables that answer so many questions about different steps of the game. Combat is meant to be simple but also deadly, and much of the fun of the game is in discovering what’s around the corner or what’s in the treasure chest in front of you. Songbirds takes inspiration from both fantasy and sci-fi, so if you like weirdness mixed in with your dungeon-crawls, you might like this game.
Trilogy, by Ben Moxon.
Trilogy is a tabletop RPG designed for epic fantasy campaigns. Build your world at the table, create characters to explore it and let the adventure commence.
Trilogy is designed specifically for players who want to discover their world in play rather than having to consult settings guides and books of existing lore. A world that lives and grows around you, shared by everyone at the table.
The media listed that inspired Trilogy include series such as Lord of the Rings, Malazan Book of the Fallen, and the Storm-light Archives; vast and detailed worlds full of complex cultural relations and heavy with conflict. The rules are derived from the PbtA framework, which means that much of the action is going to be character-driven and character-focused. This game is least likely to have puzzles a la dungeon-crawl, but what it does have is character arcs.
Character arcs are guiding lights for players, providing them with loose archetypes that they can use to help advance their characters. Each arc comes with positive and negative qualities that you can turn to when your character is at their best or at their worst. It also has an opening moment (which helps define your character to the audience) and a series of checkpoints in the form of narrative moments that generate character growth. I think the Arcs part of Trilogy is what makes it stand out, looking at character development at a new angle, and giving players plenty of prompts to help them get from point A to point B.
Jack Kills Giants, by Andrew White.
There’s no shortage of vagabonds who take coin for killing, but Giant Slayers… they’re a special breed. The coin is unfathomably good, you’d be more or less set for life should you bring one of those colossal beasts down. However, you’re just as likely to find yourself a quick and nasty death and a pauper’s funeral.
Those who decide the reward is worth the risk form up into small companies of strangers, spreading out the risks and sharing the spoils.Brought from all walks of life, those who survive past their first kill and choose to continue on the path grow into tight-knit bands, comrades in arms fighting for gold and glory.
But you aren’t one of that pantheon of successful slayers just yet. You’re just flat broke.
JACK KILLS GIANTS is a game of giant-slaying in the Fantasy Gig-Economy written and illustrated by Andrew White, with valuable contributions from Nakade & Cosmic Orrery Games. In Jack Kills Giants you won't play hardened adventurous heroes, you'll play everyday people, forced by a need to make cash to survive to chase after giants in exchange for generous bounties.
Jack Kills Giants does away with the broad possibilities of a generic fantasy game and zooms in on one particular element that the designer is interested in - a gig economy. Giant-killing is terrifying and horribly dangerous, but life is so brutal that you decide that it’s still worth doing. The game also focuses on the ways a world that has giants in it works that makes it special - for instance, some folks make a living carving up the bodies of slain giants and distributing the fat, bones, and other pieces into products that the world can use. For lovers of thoughtful world-building and purposeful adventuring, maybe check out Jack Kills Giants.

A loot from kimono heaven

We've been to countless kimono-stores during our latest Japan trip, and returned with 6 kimonos.
I had some colours in my mind I desperately wanted, however, I haven't too big of a variety to choose from, considering my unusual, not-at-all-Japanese body type. This means that even if I found a larger size, there is a great chance the sleeves would still be too short.
Semba Center in Osaka, despite of its vastness and infinite neon lights, had a surprisingly good selection of kimono shops, and since the customers are about 98% locals, the shop assistants are knowledgeable and helpful.
I really wanted to have either a vibrant, royal purple or a subdued greyish purple iromuji as my second piece, but they were all too short, the deep petrol green jacquard, however, was perfect, and it really is my colour, so I bought it without hesitation.
My husband wanted to gift me a very beautiful one for my birthday, and encouraged me to look further for a formal piece. We found a slightly greyish shade of purple houmongi with gold pattern and we bought that too.
Chicago in Kyoto can be good for casual hunting. If you are looking for something to actually wear, like, properly wear, the only sizing guide you can go by is S-M-L, and the styles are separated. Otherwise the shop assistants don't put too much effort in properly packaging them for you. As I didn't have a yukata yet, I wanted to buy a cheap one so I have at least one for occasional summer jobs to wear. As the sizings are not so elaborate here, I mostly rummaged through large sizes until I found something that didn't look like a bedsheet. I am not a huge fan of yukata designs, but I found this cute red one one with the bunnies (top middle). Sleeves are too short, obvi, but it's for summer, so I may get away with it.
The black tsukesage at the top left was too cheap (about 5000 yen) to leave there. I have never seen a black tsukesage before, and I wanted it immediately despite probably never being able to wear it due to its shorter sleeves. This will likely be my practice-piece at home.
I was also influenced to visit a larger recycled kimono shop in Kyoto which mostly specialised in yukata and furisode. Well, I already had the former and I can't have the latter (because I'm married), but I asked the very, very old shop assistant lady if they have komon, and they had a few in the back. To my absolute delight, those were washable, polyester ones which are perfect for our not-so-pristine work environment, e.g. pouring sake all over the place. So I purchased the black one with the geometric asanoha pattern (top right).
At this point I considered the mission to be completed, although I still haven't owned a few styles yet. I haven't found any iro tomesode and a kuro tomesode. Chicago was full of the latter, but not the right size, even some stains in too visible places. I decided those would be for another time.
While roaming the shopping arcades of Kyoto on our last day though, I stumbled upon the shop where I bought my favourite obi two years ago and it was calling to me. I quickly went through the recycled selection with the shop assistant lady as they were all gorgeous. Nothing fit me though except the one thing I didn't expect to: the kuro tomesode. Well, normally I would have let it go, as it is such a high formality kimono that I could easily overdress the Japanese Ambassador herself in it, but if was exactly my size for only 5000 yen, a one of a lifetime bargain, with no visible stains or faults.
So that's how I ended up buying 6 kimono despite wanting only 2.
And I haven't even got into the accessories yet, but that's for another post.

Rating lures based on the accuracy to the species they protray:
Tumblr media
Okay so I've posted a few posts now on some disappointing lures so I wanted to do the cool ones this time. These would be Orangspotted Sunfish which a) are my fave centrarchids, and b) are a cool fish overall. The body coloration reflects non-breeding colors which is certainly less vibrant, but pretty accurate overall. This is a fun guy I'd love to have as a pet. 9/10.
Tumblr media
Pikes are so rare as lures I wanted to include them. The shape? Chef's kiss. The packaging gives the tail a weird kind of shape but we shouldn't judge one based on the conditions in which they are forced to live. The colors I'm less wild on. The patterning says Northern Pike but the specific colors seem to suggest Redfin Pickerel. Are you a hybrid, little dude? Let's say 7/10.
Tumblr media
These fellas are Notropis spp. shiners, likely Rainbow Shiners (N. chrosomus). From the body color to the blue gill plates, these are pretty spot on. Most Rainbows have a dark horizontal stripe along the lateral line where these have pale, but you can find both patterns in this species. 10/10 I love them.
Tumblr media
What a pretty guy! Labeled as a Bluegill, this lure is an inch or so long; with that in mind, these are adult colors, not juvenile colors. The white in there is also not accurate. But I like him! He gets an 8/10 from me.
Tumblr media
You know, though Yellow Perch lures are a dime a dozen, I think these are pretty close to the mark. The colors (especially the orange) is a little neon-y and the head is an odd white color, but I think they have a nice mix of realistic and eye catching. 7/10

*starts cutting up ramen noodles fancily, wearing a stereotypical chef hat* alright alphys, welcome to the ramen noodle store *prepares mew mew kissy cutie inspired boba tea, sliding it to her* on the house for that, that is your drink while you wait, is there any order you would like to place? because you're a special customer, everything shall be free, this is our menu: /'-----------------------------------------------------'\ Noodles -------------------------------------------------------- Indomie Mi Goreng - 15G These fried noodles are a sweet-salty, umami-packed treat thanks to not one but five flavor packets: seasoning powder, seasoning oil, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, and fried shallots. Know that this is not a brothy situation. Samyang -20G The buldak, or “hot chicken,” flavor packs a satisfying heat with or without broth, but if you crave even more heat, their 2x Spicy Hot Chicken ramen is double the fun. Don’t be fooled by the comical chicken mascot on the packaging. Eat the entire pack and your adrenaline will start pumping and sweat will start beading at your forehead. MìLà - 50G Unlike other instant noodles, Mila’s get flash frozen raw instead of cooked and dehydrated before shipping. So when you prepare them at home, you’re actually cooking them, not just reheating them. That means two things: they’re supremely fresh and they always come out perfectly bouncy. You can choose between three flavors including spicy Sichuan Dan Dan, Shanghai Scallion Oil, or savory-sweet Beijing Zha Jiang. Momofuku - 20G Its take feels inherently upscale—the noodles, a collaboration with the popular Taiwanese brand A-Sha, are air-dried instead of fried, and they use ingredients like Sichuan peppercorns for ramen that is loaded with flavor.  Nongshim Chapagetti - 30G Chapagetti (or, alternately, Jjapaghetti) is an instant noodle version of jajangmyeon, otherwise known as black bean noodles—a popular staple in Korean cuisine. Bouncy noodles are coated in a thick, umami sauce that easily clings to each noodle.
/'-------------------------------------------------------'\ Boba Teas -------------------------------------------------------- Black Milk Tea - 10G Black milk tea is the most classic boba tea flavor, making it one of the best flavors to recommend to beginners and new customers. It's a delightful combination of black tea and sweetened milk blended to create a smooth and velvety drink. Taro Milk Tea - 10G No boba menu is complete without taro milk tea. Its stunning purple hue makes the drink an instant Undernet-worthy moment, and its balanced flavor appeals to virtually any customer. Brown Sugar Milk Tea - 15G Brown sugar milk tea's popularity is due to the distinctive tiger stripe pattern from the generous brown sugar drizzle on the sides of the cup, which adds a visually stunning element to the drink. Its taste is rich and smooth with a molasses-like sweetness that perfectly complements the robust black tea base.
Matcha Milk Tea - 15G Matcha, the vibrant and earthy Japanese green tea, offers a unique and refreshing flavor that tea lovers adore. Its taste is often described as vegetal, with a slightly bitter undertone that is balanced by a hint of sweetness. The tea is made by whisking matcha powder with hot milk and then combining it with milk or non-dairy creamer and a sweetener. Mew Mew Boba - 20G This boba tea, having originated from the 'Mew Mew Kissy Cutie' anime, is first seen in episode 7, when Mew Mew herself was sipping on it. Seeing the structure and layers, we couldn't help but resist and recreate it. Made from Starfait dust and a base of Sea Tea, this tea energizes you immensely, making you feel like you're as fast as a shooting star.

My card collection
I like cards. I only know like five or six card games but I love cards
Tumblr media
#1. Fyrebird
Tumblr media
This deck is new so I haven't used it for anything yet but I love it already. I automatically like decks that have custom number cards, though as always I wish there was a little more variety in the face cards. I would love to play scoundrel with these but I don't like them quite as much as some of my older decks that I'm more attached to.
8/10
#2. Stargazer 202
Tumblr media
This is a deck I've had for longer, though I don't use it as much because I don't like it as much as Stargazer 201. I think I've mainly used it for playing with friends. I really like the box and the back but I'm not the biggest fan of the actual colors on the cards and I can't think of anything I would chose this deck for specifically.
6/10
#3. Dragon
Tumblr media
This is another deck I've had for a while, I bought it to play nerts with but it ended up being too difficult so I have another set of much plainer cards for that. The things I like most about this deck are the dragon theme and the custom face cards, although it doesn't get quite as much use as some of my other older decks. I would pick this one for scoundrel or palace.
8/10
#4. Verbena
Tumblr media
I kind of hate this deck tbh. I felt mislead by the packaging because while I've learned to let my hopes down about a custom shiny box meaning custom shiny cards, I was especially disappointed by how mustardy the yellow ended up looking. Sometimes a deck with default face and number cards can redeem itself via color palette, but this is not one of them. I don't think I've ever actually used these cards. They function, I suppose, and the box is still pretty.
3/10
#5. Bourbon
Tumblr media
This deck is also new but I love it already. I'm really into the fact that it has both custom face and number cards and while I'm not usually into brown and red I actually like the color palette here. I really want to play poker with this.
9/10
#6. Starburst
Tumblr media
Initially I didn't really like these cards because I was in a situation where the store had sample packs and I was trying to guess which pack was in which box and I guessed wrong, but they've really grown on me over time. I like how geometric they are and especially like them for solitaire because of how the patterns on the face cards go together and how the bars on the side look once you've sorted them. They're not my usual style but theres just something about them.
10/10
#7. Muralis
Tumblr media
While this one is just a recolor, it does what Verbena fails to do and actually has an attractive color palette. I love the colors and back of these cards though they haven't seen much use just because they're newer. Frequency of use is playing just as significant a role in these rankings as aesthetics, unfortunately. When I'm back with my friends these will by my go to palace cards and I think they would be nice for hearts as well.
8/10
#8. Sea King
Tumblr media
The quality on this is probably ruined but it's important you understand that these cards are not plain white, they are a nice gray with subtle patterns that take them to the next level imo. This is actually the oldest deck I have that I got before I even knew how to play any card games and is def one of my favorites for any game I play with friends.
10/10
#9. Peacock
Tumblr media
Hands down my favorite of favorites. I'd run into a burning building for these cards. You can see there the colors are inconsistent? that's cause all the gold is actually shiny! These cards have custom aces for all the suits, custom number cards, and beautiful colors for the face cards. They're everything that I've ever wanted from a deck and everything I hold the others up to. I usually use them for solitaire, hearts, or palace.
11/10
#10. Unicorn
Tumblr media
This is another new set but I like it, I wish the colors were more vibrant and that it had something going on with either the number or face cards, but the colors and the theme make up for it. I'd like to use these for spit or hearts.
8/10
#11. Cybercity
Tumblr media
Honestly I think I've been holding a grudge against these cards for proving useless for nerts, because looking at them now I can't think of a good reason why I never use them. They've got cool colors and somewhat custom faces. I'd like them for cheat or hearts.
7/10
#12. Stargazer 201
Tumblr media
I like these cards a lot, esp compared to 202 because I like the colors better, but like 202 I feel they lack a certain feeling of 'cardiness' if that makes sense. Still I use these a lot and I like that they have multiple custom aces, even if it means that I messed up the orientation in the photo again. I think these are good for scoundrel and hearts.
8/10
So that's my card collection! someday I'll learn more games and update this lol

Looking for Unique Gifts? Little Majlis Has You Covered!
Tumblr media
In today's fast-paced, convenience-driven world, finding a gift that truly stands out is becoming increasingly rare. Many of us turn to generic online stores or last-minute mall stops for gift shopping, only to end up with items that lack personality and connection. But if you're in the UAE and looking for something thoughtful, handmade, and meaningful—Little Majlis is your go-to destination.
A One-of-a-Kind Marketplace
Little Majlis isn’t just another online shop. It’s a beautifully curated UAE-based marketplace that brings together local makers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs. With a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and culture, the platform is a celebration of the UAE’s vibrant creative scene. It offers everything from handcrafted home décor and artisan jewelry to personalized baby gifts and quirky stationery—all made with care by talented individuals.
The name “Majlis” is rooted in tradition—it refers to a place of gathering, conversation, and community. And that’s exactly what Little Majlis aims to create: a welcoming space where shoppers can connect with creators and find products that carry a story.
Why Shop for Unique Gifts?
The best gifts are the ones that make people feel seen and appreciated. While it’s easy to grab something off the shelf, a unique gift shows thoughtfulness. It says, “I took the time to find something just for you.”
Here are a few reasons why unique gifts from Little Majlis are a step above the rest:
Authenticity: Each product on Little Majlis is made with heart. Whether it’s a hand-painted ceramic or a woven tote inspired by Emirati heritage, it has a soul that factory-made items lack.
Local Flair: Many products reflect the culture, art, and design of the UAE. That makes them perfect for anyone who loves the region or wants to share a piece of it with others.
Sustainable Shopping: Many sellers use eco-conscious materials, produce in small batches, and avoid wasteful packaging—perfect for the mindful shopper.
Supporting Small Businesses: Every purchase supports a real person or a small team working hard to keep their craft alive.
What You’ll Find at Little Majlis
Whether you're shopping for a birthday, wedding, baby shower, or holiday, Little Majlis has you covered. Here's a look at some of their standout categories:
1. Home & Living
Add a creative touch to any space with wall prints, hand-poured candles, quirky mugs, and embroidered cushions. These items are ideal for housewarmings or personal home makeovers.
2. Baby & Kids
The perfect destination for new parents and little ones! From custom name plaques and swaddles to soft toys and nursery décor, everything feels lovingly made.
3. Stationery
Perfect for creatives and organized minds—shop for artistic notebooks, greeting cards, calendars, and prints with regional themes or modern flair.
4. Fashion & Accessories
Jewelry that tells a story, hand-sewn bags, scarves with Arabic calligraphy, and other unique finds. These are gifts that combine style with substance.
5. Food & Kitchen
Gourmet dates, handmade jams, artisan chocolates, and spice blends that taste like home. A great pick for foodies who appreciate the finer things.
Personalized Gifts That Mean More
One of the best things about shopping at Little Majlis is the ability to personalize. Many makers offer customizations—names, initials, messages, or dates—so your gift can truly feel one-of-a-kind. Personalized items work wonderfully for milestones like weddings, anniversaries, or baby arrivals.
Imagine gifting a hand-drawn family portrait with Arabic calligraphy or a handcrafted tray engraved with a special message. These are not just gifts—they're memories wrapped in creativity.
A Tribute to UAE Culture
What makes Little Majlis especially unique is how deeply it reflects the spirit of the UAE. From products that use Arabic typography and desert-inspired patterns to items that celebrate Islamic heritage, it’s a platform rooted in place and purpose.
Expats often shop here for cultural gifts to take home, while locals love finding pieces that blend traditional design with modern aesthetics. It’s a space where heritage and innovation coexist beautifully.
Easy, Enjoyable Shopping Experience
Little Majlis has put a lot of thought into making the online experience as enjoyable as shopping in a boutique. The website is clean, easy to navigate, and allows you to browse by category, occasion, or even by seller. You can explore stories behind each creator, read product reviews, and even reach out to makers for special requests.
With fast and reliable delivery across the UAE, your thoughtful gift will be wrapped and on its way without hassle. No long queues, no mass-produced junk—just authentic gifting made easy.
What Shoppers Say
Many UAE residents and visitors rave about their experience with Little Majlis. Here’s what they love most:
"I found the perfect gift for my friend’s baby shower—something I couldn’t have found in a mall."
"It feels good knowing my purchase supported a local artist."
"I love the UAE-themed art prints. They remind me of home."
"The customization made my gift extra special. The seller even sent a handwritten note!"
Final Thoughts
In a region known for its rich culture and hospitality, gifting is an important tradition. With each item crafted with care and purpose, you're not just giving a gift—you’re giving meaning, memory, and connection.

@tosxah a starter for the upcoming holidays?
Tumblr media
For the whole day, the small items in her bag had been weighing heavier than usual as she carried them around throughout whatever that improvised date was that she had asked him out for. Or perhaps the aftermath of the recent fights against the Abyss had exhausted her more than she wanted to admit to herself.
As for her reason for a short trip to Fontaine, she put it as a "returned favour after that little date in Liyue" Childe had taken her out for what now felt like ages ago.
He was still in Fontaine, practically packed to return back to his homeland. She had done a detour after the first events in Natlan, knowing that the day after she was supposed to be on her way back to the pyro nation to keep her promise; end a terrible war that had been plaguing that land, protect those who had been fighting for decades against a cursed bloody faith.
Certain scars were not meant to be patched up but burned instead.
She sat on his bed, her boots laying not too far, her toes wiggling to stretch them after another long day on her feet. It was something silly, and yet she suddenly felt unbelievably nervous as she held the few small packages on her hands.
A wrapping paper of a deep blue colour found back in Sumeru protected the small gifts, the textured material adorned with intricate golden patterns and scented perfumes familiar to that nation. The thin threads weaved in Natlan from skilled hands, crimson like his scarf and silver like the metal around his vision, were keeping together the small wrapped items.
Her heart might have been even more weary than her muscles right now as she finally decided to pull them out of her bag.
"The holidays are coming soon, I forgot to ask if you and your family celebrate them in Snezhnaya." Her hands raised as an offer for him to take the packages. "I thought it would still be best to give you these now before I have to make my way back to Natlan. I'm not sure when I'd be free again, after all." The golden in her eyes was dimmer in the room, but always vibrant even in the darkest of nights. No one knew what they would be truly facing down in that darkness that reeked of death and fear, but she was ready for anything, even face hell itself if it meant she could help.
"It's nothing fancy, but when I saw them... It made me think of you." She explained in all of her honesty, her fingers now playing with the fabric of her skirt.
It was exactly 4 hand crafted wooden keychains she bought a while back in Mondstadt: respectively a narwhal for Childe, one fox shaped for Teucer, a princess looking figure for Tonya and an owl for Anton.
There was a small note added on Childe's gift, her delicate hand writing gracing it:
'Plutôt qu'être seul, mieux vaut être mal accompagné'
a saying she has heard back in Fontaine: 'better than alone, is to be in bad company'.
Tumblr media
"I thought it would be nice for you, Teucer, Tonya, and Anton to have matching charms. So even when you're miles away from home, you won't feel too distant from them because it will always remind you they're never too far. That you're not alone." Her smile was warm, delicate like moonlight in a summer night.
"And well, you also won't forget I gave you this awesome narwhal charm. When you'll feel lonely, you'll be reminded of the amazing travaler and her extremely generous heart." She teased, despite basically admitting she didn't mind being in his thoughts too.
"However, I don't mean to overstep," she added quickly. "I'd understand if you think your siblings might not even want anything of this like."
She just wanted to leave something behind to him, she was confident on the outcome of the war in Natlan's favour. But every war didn't come without price, and she really wasn't sure what cost she'd have to pay for it. The same way her brother did, she was prepared. How much she could lose from it though, she did not know yet. No, we will come back victorious and no one, no one will die.

One of Erasure’s most striking album covers is the one for Chorus (1991). How did the concept come about, and what do the images represent? If you’d like to know the story, keep reading.
The album covers vary by country and format, but in all cases, their heads are lit up in pink, and you can see the insides of their brains in vibrant technicolour. These visual concepts came from the group. After five years together, Clarke and Bell were feeling more connected than ever, and were looking to represent the strength of their bond in different ways. Andy Bell had wanted to capture their “auras” in photographs, and Vince Clarke was interested in illustrating the “electricity” generated between the two of them.
To start off, Monica Curtin photographed the band members’ heads in silhouette, and they had brain scans done (the liner notes actually give thanks to the MRI Centre in London!). Clarke told Details magazine that he wanted to see “who had the biggest one”. And who did? According to Bell, they were “dead equal.”
When came time to assemble the cover, the designers (Me Company) made use of many innovative techniques. In a brilliant article for Classic Pop, designer Siân Cook–who was working for the Me Company at the time–explained the process. “The coloured areas inside the heads were colour photocopy collages, while the pink/purple auras around the outside of the heads were taken from images of Kirlian plant photography which were manipulated and wrapped around the silhouettes.” The medical theme was carried through in other ways; the subtle “e” pattern on the album cover and liner notes was “inspired by medicine packaging.”
In the liner notes, there are several stock images of happy, photogenic people enjoying their lives. Cook said that these photos referenced “big pharma promo brochures”. Andy Bell had more to add: “these pictures are Corporate America, or Corporate Anywhere”. To him, they represented a lifestyle that people were supposed to aspire to - which was a “farce”. If they were real, he joked, they’d feature “ugly people–like us!”

In today's competitive market, innovative packaging plays a pivotal role in capturing consumer attention and enhancing brand identity. Creative box designs not only protect products but also serve as a powerful marketing tool, conveying a brand's story and values.
One effective approach is minimalistic elegance, where clean lines and subtle branding elements convey sophistication and modernity. For instance, sleek black packaging with minimalistic details can create a refined contemporary style.
Incorporating vibrant patterns inspired by cultural heritage can also make packaging stand out. Intricate motifs or traditional designs can instantly catch the eye and resonate with consumers.
Sustainable packaging is another growing trend, reflecting environmental responsibility. Utilizing eco-friendly materials like recycled cardboard or biodegradable options not only appeals to eco-conscious consumers but also demonstrates a brand's commitment to sustainability.
Furthermore, interactive packaging elements such as puzzles, hidden messages, or QR codes engage customers beyond the purchase, fostering a sense of playfulness and creating memorable experiences.
