Hi! I was wondering if you’d be willing to share some info on your prints! (e.g. do you have a print shop you work with?) I’m thinking about starting a print shop for my artwork and would love any advice/recommendations. Sorry if you’ve already answered this! I took a look through your old asks and didn’t find anything. Thank you!
hi!! so i use print.work which is a uk based printer so if ur not in the uk that might not be all that helpful (though they do shop internationally!!) and i really love them. they have a nice variety of papers, though i would really like to have some thicker options, and i have never had an issue with misprints or damaged shipping!
i took me a while to find them, an issue i kept running into is some places are really only designed to do short runs, im talking like one or two prints, or like massive mass produced runs, which isnt what i needed!!! some places are also really expensive for no good reason - printwork has a good price for their prints so if you're unsure if the place you're looking at is a good deal, i would reccomend plugging ur order into printwork and seeing how they compare price wise!!
most places offer a sample pack where you can see all their different papers which i reccomend getting :) it might take a little trial and error to figure out a place you like - it would be good to learn what different paper GSM's feel like so you can visualise what a print is going to look like, if you haven't already!
good luck!! <3
#printwork also do a bunch of other products but i hvent really tried them ehhe....their postcards . bookmarks business cards etc are rlly#expenive i rec going to vistaprint personally for those#printwork sells stickers as well but theyre paper based not vinyl so theyre not waterproof btw!!!#obsob ask

Just noticed my old website is gone now- webs finally moved to vistaprint or something (but it was still there not so long ago). Atleast I took screenshots of it before it went.
I tried making a wikia/fandom page for my videos before but the aholes took it down for supposed "inactivity"
Looks like some of my old videos had more views when I shared them on my old website than they have on YouTube lol My old website will be gone on in 2 days coz Webs are moving to Vistaprint or something, I barely go on it anymore anyway, but been updating it lately

Since TMA has been such a huge part of my life this year I used Grace Holsten's wonderful tarotesque art on redbubble to make myself a little desk calendar for 2024. It's kind of a stand-in until I can afford to buy the entire set.

I'm back bxtches
Random Observations #9
Y'all still need the disclaimer or will reason prevail?
🦂 Scorpio Mars are POWERHOUSES in my not-so-humble opinion. If you are prone to procrastination, especially in your career or as an entrepreneur, Aries Mars might hype you up but a Scorpio Mars (esp in 10H) is gonna make damn sure you finish your to-do list.
I had a friend with this placement and she literally bribed me with weed to come to her house, then she took my phone and house keys and made me sit and finish designing my business cards and send them to Vistaprint before she'd give my damn keys back. Made over $5K USD from my next few clients though so I wasn't even mad about it lol
🦀 I don't care what the astrology girls like to say - my observations of Cancer moons is that they are FORGIVING AF. Like it takes a lot for a Cancer moon to be really done with you and chances are you're more wrong than they are.
Cancer moons come off as manipulative to a lot of people. But when you actually dig below the surface, you'll notice this common thread where people who aren't good at seeing other people's points of view unless they need something immediately project that attitude onto people who genuinely give a shit.
Obviously there are evil Cancer moons and they're extra terrifying for the above reason, but they're the minority and the slander is unnecessary imo. The people who have literally put up with my WORST behavior the longest and genuinely dropped it after a good open conversation were all Cancer moons.
👬 Which leads me to another interesting astro trope I'd like to kick over right about now. Gemini moons. Love them but in my experience they are usually what people think Cancer moons are. Gemini moons, from my observation, don't soak up as much, if any, of other peoples' energies. They're gonna keep it moving emotionally regardless of how you wanna be in the moment. That means they can easily smile with you for years if that's the path of least resistance, but that does NOT mean they particularly like, care about or think highly of you at all. They MIGHT, but you will NOT know unless they want you to know or you somehow trigger them enough to rip the black tape off the redacted parts of their mental file on you.
If you're someone who is used to everything being totally transparent and straightforward, you're in for a wild ride with a Gemini moon in your life. I've had quite a few as friends or coworkers, etc., and I promise without fail there always came the day where I ended up wiping tears of laughter from my eyes, feet up on my desk, twiddling my thumbs listening to the 11-minute voice note from the latest Gemini moon in my life. Pretty much telling me in no uncertain terms exactly what they thought of me, where I should go, why, and how happy they would be to direct me there personally.
As a Capricorn moon, I never have the kind of reaction they'd like to this but it's always interesting to see the abrupt change as they can literally seem perfectly cool 3 minutes before the other twin takes over. I don't even think it's a good or bad thing, just how it goes.
Cancer moons seem this way but chances are you chose to ignore the VERY OBVIOUS SIGNS THAT SOMETHING (probably everything) was wrong, lol. Cancer moons can't hide their feelings for shit (reason #101 why I love them; it's easier for me to fix a problem if i can quickly see there is one 😂).
🦁 Let's change tracks and talk about Leo mercuries for a minute. Y'all get your inside and outside voices mixed up a LOT, lol. Every Leo mercury I know had trouble speaking quietly in quiet-appropriate situations but then catch them outside trying to get their friends attention at the other side of the street and suddenly it's like Tom got their tongue and tossed it to Jerry. Can barely get a sound out. Why is that? I know it wouldn't be all Leo mercuries but for those who experience this, please tell me what it is, I'm genuinely curious lol. As a Libra mercury I kinda have a similar problem. On another note, I've noticed that Leo mercuries can be highly persuasive people even if solely because of the amount of power and confidence they put behind the things they say.
My ex-husband has Leo Mercury at 24° (Pisces degree) and I promise you that man could make you believe anything against your will 😂 One time he was trying to get out of having to go to a friend's event and rather than just decline like a normal person, he crafted this masterpiece of an excuse that somehow involved me needing his attention (I had been on the couch under his arm half the day so no lol) but the way he spoke on the phone?
I swear to God even I caught myself nodding along all like "yeah, yes I did feel a bit neglected today and wanted more time with babe"... 😂😂😂 like NO TF I DID NOT FEEL NEGLECTED AT ALL but I got second-hand convinced lol. And yes he was loud when I or his friends were 12 inches away but couldn't raise his voice for shit to order through the drive-thru at McDonald's lol it was cute, though, I'd do the yelling into the intercom thing 😂
🐟 Lemme say this about Pisces suns - you are very underrated, from my observations. I've noticed Pisces suns in particular struggle with one of two major issues when it comes to others' perceptions of them - either people seem compelled to minimize/infantilize their contributions and achievements, or people fail to notice they exist altogether (or forget about them easily). I've always held my Pisces sun friends close for as long as I could and hyped them up because nearly every Pisces sun I've met has been incredibly talented and usually creative in some way. I'm talking genius levels of ability in some area that goes completely overlooked or undervalued by the majority of people in their circles.
These are the people who you vaguely notice as the cool server, hot bartender, friendly delivery guy, helpful sales associate, only for you to run into them somewhere else and you find out they run a whole personal training business or play 6 instruments perfectly and give lessons to kids, or taught themselves professional photography and have a camera in their bedroom worth more than your savings account. I've met so many Pisces suns who seemed to be one way and then there were so many layers to them that it was like reading an interactive novel.
That's what was on my mind for now, drop your favorite placement from your own chart in the comments, I'll compile them for random observations #10 😘

By the way here's a little cheat: if there's something you'd love as a poster, like an old comic cover or something but no poster exists, either find or make the highest resolution image you can (even if you have to use one of those automatic online upscalers; better than nothing!) make an account on redbubble or vistaprint and upload it. On redbubble you'll have to keep it private, on vistaprint it's private automatically because that's a site strictly for "personal office use." I've done this a few times over the years and they never took notice or cared that it wasn't my art as long as I wasn't selling it publicly. Restaurants do this all the time for their kitsch decor and I don't think a human even checks it before it ships out. They might if you were printing tons of the same one because then it's obvious you're selling them, but otherwise they just like the extra money and you get consequence-free pirated wall art.

Thanks for the great reception to my cross stitch kits! These were a lot of fun to make and were born from my bad burnout last year where I took up cross stitch as a hobby and then figured I should really try making my own art with the medium! There are 5 designs all together, here are the 3 warrior rabbits which I translated to pixels with thread.
I spent a lot of time figuring out how to create plastic free packaging for these, so ended up usind printed envelopes from Vistaprint (these are surprisingly hard to source in Australia). Packaging is something I always want to find a balance between being recyclable, and protective enough to survive long overseas (and domestic) journeys without being wasteful. It's a big part of why I don't really include freebies in my orders, as personally, I'm the type of customer who doesn't know what to do with extra things I didn't purchase. How about you?

so, I know you've been vending at a lot of different craft fairs and witch markets for awhile now (sadly, too far away for me to attend!). would you happen to have any tips for someone looking to do the same at their local fairs? thanks!!!!!! ❤️
Sure! To start, brush up on three things - networking, recordkeeping, and people skills. Get an idea of what's going in on your area, talk to the organizers, see what the particulars are for the events. Here are some questions to ask:
What's the venue like? (indoors, outdoors, parking, accessibility)
Do I need to bring my own table and chairs?
Is there electricity / wifi available?
What is the table fee?
When is the event and how long does it run?
Is there a theme or target audience?
Is there advertising being done for the event? (Signal boost!)
Based on the answers you get, you can start putting your stock and setup together.
Do as much as you can WAY ahead of time. If you need to make things, start now. If you need to buy things, give yourself at least a month before an event to make sure everything arrives in time. Get yourself a 6-foot folding table and a comfortable folding chair or camp chair for events where they're not provided by the venue. Sign for Paypal, Venmo, and Cashapp as well as a card payment processing service like Square to give your customers the most payment options possible. And of course, plan to carry some small bills for cash patrons. (You don't need a register or cashbox, a simple bag of appropriate size will do. I literally use a pencil case that says Resting Witch Face. Works great.)
You'll want to get some displays for your merchandise. The type will vary depending on what you have, but it should be simply and sturdy and preferably easy to pack in and out. Vertical visibility is important at these events, so if you can find some kind of stand or tiered display, that will help you get noticed. I'd also suggest some simple clear plastic standups that you can put a printout price list and a basic sign in. A table banner helps people notice your table from afar and you should definitely have business cards to hand out with your shop info and socials. (I use Vistaprint for both.) Decorations are nice, but don't overload the table with them. They should augment your setup, not overwhelm it.
You may also want to get an 8x8 or 10x10 popup canopy and canopy weights if you plan to do outdoor events. Also, GET A COLLAPSIBLE WAGON. Best investment I ever made was a $45 collapsible wagon. It fits in my backseat and makes hauling things in and out of venues SO much easier.
Keep track of everything you spend related to your endeavors, including event fees, supplies, stock, setup items, displays, signage, business cards, and gas and food on the day. Keep those receipts - you can deduct them on your taxes later to offset your earnings. (Because registering as a business can be a pain and comes with fees, but if you don't do it, you may owe money for not collecting sales tax. Put aside some money for that tax bill, just in case.)
Prep your setup and stock the night before an event. Check your merch, charge your card reader (and bring a fully-charged auxiliary power pack and cord, just in case), make any updates to your inventory or pricing that you need to. It really cuts down on stress when you're loading up if you know you've already get everything set. I suggest reusable shopping bags or clear plastic bins to make things easy to haul, plus they can double as storage.
Plan to leave as early as you need to in order to account for traffic and pit stops. Pick an outfit ahead of time so you don't have to dither over clothes. It should be something appropriate for the event and the weather that looks neat and clean and is easy to move around in, including comfortable shoes. (Look to other vendors for examples.)
Make sure you bring water, snacks, and anything you'll need to get through the day, i.e. medicine (headache pills and stomach medicine at minimum), energy drinks, a fan for hot days, an extra layer for cold ones, etc. Get to the venue as early as the organizers allow. The more time you have to park, load in, and set up, the less stressed you'll be. Make sure things are arranged in a way that's accessible and makes sense. Place signage where necessary to explain items and pricing.
GO TO THE BATHROOM BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS. TRUST ME.
During the event, you're gonna have to do a LOT of socializing, so prepare for that as best you can. Try to stand if possible when there's a lot of foot traffic so you're more noticeable. Be personable - you don't have to grin constantly, just try to keep a pleasant expression and greet people as they pass, especially if they look in your direction. Don't be afraid to invite passersby over if they pause to check out your setup. Welcome them in, invite them to check out your stuff, and let them know you're happy to answer questions. (And ALL questions are good questions. There are no dumb questions. Even if the question is the dumbest thing you've ever heard or it's the fifteenth time you've been asked that day.) Chat and banter a bit where possible. If you can get people smiling or laughing, they're more likely to stick around and possibly purchase your wares. Make sure as many people as possible take your card when they leave.
Yes, you will be exhausted when the event is over, even if you're a naturally outgoing person, and you'll still have to break everything down, haul it out, load your vehicle, and drive home. If you happen to have somebody who can help you out, that really comes in handy.
In any case, know your own capabilities and personal limits and plan for that when you're deciding where to vend. If a venue is too far away for your comfort or doesn't have what you need or the table fee is too high (be wary of any thing over $75 for a single day event), don't sign up. If an event is too long or too far outside your target audience, don't sign up. If you don't have an appropriate setup or don't have the stock / can't get it in time, don't sign up. If something about the event or the venue or the organizers rubs you the wrong way, DON'T SIGN UP. Talk to other local vendors to get an idea of where to go and what to expect. Most will tell you right away what works, what's good, and what to steer clear of.
This is all just the basics. You'll learn a lot more when you start to vend, as far as what your individual needs are, where to go to find reliable business, and how best to connect with local venues and customers. Keep records of everything you do (spreadsheets are your friend!), network with organizers and other vendors, and practice that sociable game face.
And trust me - if a disorganized introvert with social anxiety and ADHD and absolutely NO sales experience can figure out to do this, I think pretty much anyone has a chance.
Good luck!!!! 😁

market research is crazy I'm so glad it's not my job. anyway I'm trying to make the mug of my dreams and I will not compromise on Heart Handle but printify only ships heart handle mug in europe, all the recent reviews for canvas champ and vistaprint are extremely negative, lots of places have a MOQ of 35-75, spreadshop looks like the most viable one... but their whole thing is slapping a design on as many products as possible instead of giving me a template to optimize A Design Specifically Tailored To A Product so I'm not sure I trust it 💢 but maybe I'll order one from there just to see how it turns out, most viable option so far :/
#my ramblings#I won't go to amazon but I might go to etsy#and they might just be going to one of these other sites to print it out and charging $10 for it#but at least I don't have to do all the vetting etc
