Maomao's attitude towards Jinshi in the light novel is so much funnier than the anime made it out to be like as soon as he's anywhere within a 5 mile radius from her she's immediately like "Oh the nymph is back... look at that shameless eunuch... tempting everyone like that... such a waste of a pretty face... what a weirdo... he should cover his face it'll cause a war..." and she's like this for nearly an entire page every time he appears

#like the anime did a great job with the adaptation from what i've seen #(i just finished vol 1 so i can't really tell)#but i think the pretty pictures distracted me from how unhinged her thoughts are 💀#and that man has NO CLUE #the apothecary diaries #lonely thoughts
