i am so unbelievably stressed rn it's insane. i have 3 assignments due tomorrow night and one of them is a mini thesis paper for HISTORY. IM SHIT AT HISTORY. i have calc due the next day and a programming quiz I HAVEN'T STUDIED FOR.

who knew passing out a week before and having dizzy spells since would fuck up ur ability to be a functioning student????

If parenting has taught me anything, it is the importance of getting down on your hands and knees and teaching not just facts, but love and enthusiasm for the natural world.

This is my son Q and me. I have dozens of photos like this by now, even though he is just two years old.

Every chance I get, I will kneel down with him and show him the little creatures all around us. Especially when they are frogs. He loves frogs for some reason. No idea why.

It is important that we all see this together. It is beautiful. It is magnificent. We are here. It is improbable to the highest degree. It is fleeting, but it is everything we get. And we can get so, so much of it. If we just get our faces into it and really absorb it.

So that's what l'm trying to do here, I guess. Get all of you to join me in the reeds. And I am so happy to have so many of you along for the journey.

Noritoshi is suspicious of you at the worst of times. The same faint crease on his brow always appears when he's trying to hide being bothered by something.

This time? Because you've been focusing on your phone rather than him for a little bit too long...... He trusts you, of course he does! its just, he doesn't trust others. What if you end up talking with somebody for too long and they try whisking you away?

Obviously it's most likely nothing and you're enjoying your time doing who knows what on the phone that he's not allowed to check because you told him he couldn't no matter how many times he asked. Noritoshi still stares at your phone intensely when its sitting somewhere, itching to take a quick peek.. it'll be harmless, you don't even have to know!

Yet, his mind wanders to the possibility of getting caught. He'd rather spear arrows through his palm than be gazed at with disapproval by you. Its only natural to have privacy, he tells himself. So, begrudgingly, Noritoshi obeys and watches you on the stupid little phone.

The phone that contains a lot of mindless entertainment and important files. The same phone that holds a lot of personal information you keep to yourself. The same damn phone he's been itching to get his hands on ever since you began smiling at the device.

Why aren't you showing him what's so funny? Oh, right, because he could care less. All he cares about is that your attention is off of him and onto something else that could easily lead you to interact with someone else. It becomes too much and he acts emotionally, tilting the phone down and confronting you. It's not an accusation, just a question. Tell him he's wrong, he's almost begging you to tell him he's wrong. He just wants your attention again, so forgive him if he acts irrational. He'll make up for it, he promises.

Though, if you're alright with Noritoshi looking through your phone, his looming shadow over your shoulder will be a common occurrence every time you turn on your device. He might as well stop using his own with how much he likes holding onto yours. It's just to help you carry your things, of course. He's so gentlemanly isn't he? Go on, praise him!

I work in sports so answering emails late at night and being responsive throughout the weekend and late hours is normal - especially during the season - and with my new team it's like... everyone is so responsive and communicative and I don't have to panic all day long knowing something isn't done because my team is full of over-communicators and responsive people and wowww it is a breath of fresh air lmfaoooo my old team would leave me hanging by myself with things unfinished the night before a game and it would just... go undone

I’ve actually been thinking a lottt about cages and being chained to like the radiator or something or just generally being forced to stay in one place (not necessarily one position tho) while the other person has full range of motion. That way they get to choose when to interact with me so I’m released from the burden of needing to figure out when and how to ask for attention. I’m just there for them when they want me to be. I also generally really enjoy sitting somewhere and hanging out and I would enjoy being forced to for a while that way I could just hang out and do nothing and not feel guilty about it at all

community college is so funny because half of the teachers are like "For this class you need to use lockdown browser for all quizzes and tests. You need to buy this 70 dollar textbook, and all papers turned in must be in APA format with a title page even if they're only 500 words long. I will not accept late assignments. Also you have a minimum of 4 assignments a week." and the other half are like "you don't need proctoring for the final exam I trust you. here's a download link to a pirated copy of the textbook. as long as your writing is coherent and demonstrates an understanding of the material I literally could not care less what format you use. I can't figure out how canvas works so I'm not giving you due dates, just make sure it's turned in before the grading period ends. your only weekly assignment is a forum post with a minimum of 100 words."

fucked over by the university providing graduate students inaccurate information about something and nobody from the graduate school or the union providing the actual correct information. and I literally would not have even found out about this massive fucking over if I hadn't needed a piece of information today. and I cannot do anything about it for an entire semester at which point I'm going to have to harangue the people who SHOULD be providing this information about what we are actually supposed to do since the information the university provided apparently does not apply to us despite ZERO indication of this from the union or the graduate school. fuck this

I see my guide on how to watch the donghua is being reblogged due to the release date coming up soon! I'm so glad people are getting hype and gearing up to support the donghua -- they need it this time more than ever!!! But please keep in mind that post is 3 years old now, and does not contain the most up-to-date info!

Many things have changed since the making of the old guide! E.g. the donghua may not be airing on Bilibili's CN site at all due to censorship restrictions on danmei content. Meanwhile, we have yet to receive more news from other broadcasters. E.g. Crunchyroll has stated that season 2 will premiere on Oct 18th (the given debut date), but hasn't actually stated whether or not it's a real simulcast. Prior experience warrants caution for those wanting to watch it right on release, until full details are disclosed. (Though there's a very good chance we'll just have to see how it goes on release day, and what their definition of simulcast is lmao.)
