found this statement that I wrote regarding my personal identity in my Facebook memories, and I feel like it's an important and well written enough concept that I should share it here on Tumblr:
I resolve not to use my identity as a Law of Nature to try to pull rank or claim authority over others. The body I live in currently is a plural autistic trans enby. Those are the social identities that matter in the outer world. Since I only have vague memories of my past and a strong sense of what I am, I have nothing to offer anyone as that Law of Nature. So, there's no point to bring it up other than to joke about it. But, I also see no reason to gaslight myself. I know what I am and attempting to change that knowledge doesn't do me any good, only harm.
Honestly, though, let's say that I truly am a Law of Nature made manifest as a localize conscious being. I am that which has made life possible. Not necessarily a god, but a daemon, a being that made things happen.
If that's true, that doesn't give me any sort of authority. That gives me culpability and responsibility for what living beings experience. And since I mostly see suffering when I look around the world, I am humbled by it, and concerned.
While in this body, this part of me cannot do much if anything at all, besides form good relationships with those closest to me and offer them whatever emotional support I can. So, that's what I do.
I do hope my greater self is listening and considering the consequences of its past actions, and how to rectify them humanely.

so I just saw the term "singlet walk-in" and now I'm trying to find any further reading materials on it because it sounds close to my experience of what I call "a plural singlet"
does anyone happen to have any info on it?

“Otherkin [...means] an assortment of people who have come to the somewhat unorthodox, and possibly quite bizarre, conclusion that they identify themselves as being something other than human. [...] There are a number of ways people reach this conclusion, and a number of possible explanations for it. [...]
“By far the most common explanation from those who fit the definition (even if they don't claim this specific label) is that whilst their physical forms may be human, their essence, soul or equivalent term is not. Of those, the majority make their claim based on reincarnation - what they have been in a previous incarnation so strongly affects their current incarnation that they still identify with it. Obviously this requires a belief in reincarnation, and in the transmigration of souls. Both are reasonably common in a number of religions and spiritual beliefs across the world. The less frequent explanations are ‘nature of soul’ (where one is created as a specific entity,  but failed to incarnate as such - sometimes including the ‘ooops! missed!’ theory of incarnation), and ‘walk-in’ (where the original spirit inhabiting a body vacated it for one reason or another - frequently near-death or severe trauma - and a separate entity took over). [...] The two main symptoms appear to be:
“Problems not dissimilar to trans-gender issues - discomfort with the physical form not because of gender but because of species. [...] (Many of the psychological arguments for and against transgender apply here, though for the most part the biological ones do not).
“Phantom limbs - much as an amputee often gets sensation from the missing limb, so do some who claim species that have appendages that humans do not (wings and tails being the main ones). The conventional explanation for amputees is misfiring nerves and obviously this is implausible in this case. That such problems are psychosomatic seems possible, however some do have physically observable side effects that have to be handled (such as back muscle problems from 'supporting' wings).”
- Excerpts from the article “What are otherkin?” written by Tirl Windtree on April 6, 2003. You can read the full article here, on the archive of the old Otherkin.net site.

Watching Hotel Hell cause I love Gordon and none of these folks ever look at their walk in coolers and bro, I’m a manager at CHIPOTLE, a fast food chain, and every day I work, I’m in that walk in checking for rotation and checking product. I might be a little more picky, than most, but my boss loves it and it makes me happy. Anyways, gross. I gotta not think about that shit whenever I eat anywhere, lol.

Okay, I finally need to say it.
I created this sideblog because I really wanted to create a safe place for walk-ins where we could just be ourselves. I wanted to create informative, educational posts — using my own knowledge, observation of others and guesses — to fill the gap in the information about us.
However, I realized that this was not enough.
I tried to speak for the whole small community, as if I really knew it. But this was not right. Mainly because it was difficult for me to get a source of information, I used my own experience and knowledge to create posts. I think this wasn't right too. Every person is different, every walk-in has different experiences, so using only one person's perspective doesn't seem right to me, because this behavior ignores the experiences of others, different people, who may have a completely different view of the situation and a different opinion about many things. That was my mistake, I thought I was doing the right thing, sorry.
I wanted to create more posts, I planned a lot of them, but coming up with them became really difficult.
I wanted to choose the right words so that everyone could identify with them. I looked for inspiration in similar communities, mainly those related to systems, [because, well, I'm a headmate in the system] thinking about how I could use them to make walk-ins' life easier. I wanted to, finally, do a good thing. But then I realized that I had been considering my own perspective all along, even if I tried to imagine myself in the situation of others. Which was my mistake, again. So I stopped writing. Because I didn't mean to accidentally offend anyone. It was tiresome to write without any sources other than Pluralpedia too. When I realized that I would probably have to create everything from scratch, I just... gave up. It was too much to do for one person.
So... What will I do with this account?
I really don't know. I thought about deleting my account and posts, but that would probably not be wise. I also wouldn't be able to create posts in the same way as before. But I thought maybe... I could just change the content a little bit. And write only about my experiences of who I am, nothing else. I could use this sideblog as my personal account. That way, at least, I won't offend anyone. I don't know if it's a good idea. But it's better than continuing everything as before.
[But maybe I'm just exaggerating. I have only about 8 followers and a few posts.]

i got rickrolled today but it didn't work because i have adblocker installed, so youtube just told me i violated the terms of service. yesterday i was trying to edit a picture as a joke for my girlfriend, and google made me check a box to prove i'm human because i wasn't "searching normally".
it isn't just that capitalism is killing fun and whimsy, it is that any element of entertainment or joy is being fed upon by this mosquito body, one that will suck you dry at any vulnerability.
do you want to meet new friends in your city? download this app, visit our website, sign up for our email list. pay for this class on making a terrarium, on candlemaking, on cooking. it will be 90 dollars a session. you can go to group fitness, but only under our specific gym membership. solve the puzzle, sign up for our puzzle-of-the-month-club. what is a club if not just a paid opportunity - you are all paying for the same thing, which makes you a community.
but you're like me, i know it - you're careful, you try the library meetings and the stuff at the local school and all of that. the problem is that you kind of want really specific opportunities that used to exist. you are so grateful for libraries and the publicly-funded things: they are, however, an exception - and everything they have, they've fought tooth-and-nail to protect. you read a headline about how in many other states, libraries have virtually nothing left.
do you want to meet up with your friends afterwards? gift your friends the discord app. you can choose to go to a cafe (buy a coffee, at least), a bar (money, alcohol) or you can all stay in and catch a movie (streaming) or you can all stay in bed (rent. don't get me started) and scream (noise complaint. ticket at least).
you want to read a new book, but the book has to have 124 buzzwords from tiktok readers that are, like, weirdly horny. you can purchase this audiobook on audible! your podcast isn't on spotify, it's on its own server, pay for a different site. fuck, at least you're supporting artists you like. the art museum just raised their ticket price. once, they had a temporary exhibit that acknowledged that ~85% of their permanent art galleries were from cis white men, and that they had thousands of works by women (even famous women, like frida! georgia o'keefe!) just rotting in their basement. that exhibit lasted for 3 months and then they put everything away again.
walmart proudly supports this strip of land by the street! here are some flowers with wilting leaves. its employees have to pay out-of-pocket for their uniforms. my friend once got fined by the city because she organized a community pick-up of the riverfront, which was technically private property.
no, you cannot afford to take that dance class, neither can i. by the way - i'm a teacher. i'm absolutely not saying "educators shouldn't be paid fairly." i'm saying that when i taught classes, renting a studio went from 20 bucks an hour to 180 in the span of 6 months. no significant changes to the studio were made, except they now list the place as updated and friendly. the heat still doesn't work in the building. i have literally never seen the landlord who ignores my emails. recently they've been renting it out at night as an "unusual nightclub; a once-in-a-lifetime close-knit party." they spent some of those 180 dollars on LEDs and called it renovating. the high heels they invite in have been ruining the marley.
do you want to experience the old internet? do you want to play flash games or get back the temporary joy of club penguin? you can, you just need to pay for it. i have a weird, neurodivergent obsession with occasionally checking in to watch the downfall and NFT-ification of neopets. if i'm honest with you all - i never got into webkins, my family didn't have the money to buy me a pointless elephant. people forget that "being poor" can mean literally "if i buy you that toy, i can't afford rent."
you and i don't have time to make good food, and we don't have the budget for it. we are not gonna be able to host dinner parties, we're not made of money, kid. do you want some kind of 3rd space? a space that isn't home or work or school? you could try being online, but - what places actually exist for you? tiktok counts as social media because you see other people on it, not because they actually talk to you.
there was a local winter tradition of sledding down the hill at my school. kids would use pizza boxes and jackets and whatever worked, howling and laughing. back in september, they made a big announcement that this time, rules were changing, and everyone must pay 10 dollars to participate. when im not scared shitless, i kind of appreciate the environmental irony - it hasn't gone below 40. so much for snow & joyriding.
i saw a bulletin for a local dogwalking group and, nervous about making a good first impression, showed up early. the first guy there grimaced at me. "sorry," he said. "there's a 30-dollar buy-in fee." i thought he was joking. wait. for what? the group doesn't offer anything except friendship and people with whom to walk around the city.
he didn't know the answer. just shrugged at me. "you know," he said. "these days, everything costs money."
