Does Sonia ever wish she could leave her vat? What would happen if she did leave her vat or if it ran out of its biogel?

From my understanding, Sonia's old body may be confined to the tank of biogel on the bridge, but her consciousness isn't exactly stuck in that exact spot.

Sonia has melded to the ship. She IS the ship.

The ship is her new body, and her old body is the brain of the ship. So, I wouldn't exactly call her stuck. She has as much freedom as a ship does. She's on the dossier as the ship's pilot!! :)

I do think the biogel is what's keeping her old body stable (she's hooked up to so many tubes and wires, it's likely in her blood and lungs at this point), so if there was ever a catastrophic accident that caused the isolation tank to get destroyed, who knows what might happen... I'm not sure I'd like to think about that.

But, the good news is that Sonia seems to be very content with her new self and who she is now! In fact, she might even be in a better mental state than before?

We all joke that Sonia is an objectkin girlie living her best life now as a giant warp-capable vessel. :) The best pilot in the whole system.

something that's been becoming increasingly clear to me this year is that i don't actually get bsd at all...

what makes me so furious about people throwing "self-care" left and right is that it's supposed to be a means for you to prevent burnout so you can continue to be an activist. you cannot have self-care without activism they go hand in hand. why would you think you deserve to do that when you're not even being an activist in the first place. what the hell are you preventing burnout for. you losers think boycotting your 10-piece mcnuggets is too much of a struggle

If I haven't somehow missed something, there was never any mention of eye imagery connected to Sauron until after the fall of Númenor, in the first age he seemed mostly to be associated just with werewolves and fire, and even though he reinvented himself as his own totally-different-tyrant-than-morgoth deal in the second age there was no mention of an eye. The Akallabêth wasn't exactly what you'd consider in depth, and it literally just says "and then he went back to mordor and everyone came to know the eye of sauron" end of story. So I've always wondered, did the eye symbolism come about as part of the cult of Melkor? I would like. To explore that.
