Cathedral of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Spain (No. 2)
The building has a Latin cross plan divided into three large naves that have attached chapels. After a transept, which is marked in plan and elevation, they give in a main chapel that has, as is proper in the temples of pilgrimage, an ambulatory or ambulatory surrounded, at the same time, by different radial chapels and the outstanding central apdiole. The cloister opens to the northern side, where it is annexed to the rest of the temple.
Portada Sur
The south façade or Santo Domingo, with a large semicircular arch, which protects niches with statues of the patrons of the diocese, Santo Domingo, San Celedonio and San Emeterio) and circular oculi, was built between 1761 and 1765.
Bell Tower
The cathedral had, throughout its history, three towers. The primitive Romanesque was destroyed in a fire in 1450. The second, Gothic, had to be dismantled when threatening ruin. The third, Baroque, is the one that currently exists.
It is one of the few examples in Spain, of exempt tower (tower separated from the main body of the cathedral), is the work of the architect Martín de Beratúa under the patronage of Bishop Andrés Porras y Temas in 1762. It is of baroque style with a bell tower of the architecturally called Riojan style and, with its 70 meters high and a base of 9 meters, it is the tallest tower in La Rioja.
The legends of the place tell that the reason for the separation of the tower from the body of the cathedral is due to the fact that sandy soils were found that prevented firm foundations. In the end there was an excellent location, the current one, in which to ensure the foundations were added horns of deer and cows of the place
james t. kirk, tarsus survivor, whenever someone needs help and support: we should get hotdogs. in fact we should get two hotdogs. i’m going to get cookies. we’re going to split the cookie.

one thing i love is how attentive will is to james. every time james is in the room, it's like will laser-focuses on the guy. he pays so much attention to the little details, james' micro-expressions.
but at the end of dark heir, there's none of that. will doesn't notice if james' lips are quirking, doesn't notice if james looks and sounds genuine. doesn't notice how james is parroting his every command.
he's so caught up in how it feels to finally, finally, have someone on his side, someone who knows the truth and still chooses to stand by him, to believe in him and the person he could be.
that he just. doesn't see it. doesn't see it at all when any other time, he probably would have. he doesn't see it, and when he finally does, it's too late.
Cathedral of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Spain (No. 1)
The Cathedral of the Savior of Santo Domingo de la Calzada is located in the municipality of Santo Domingo de la Calzada, in the autonomous community of La Rioja (Spain). It is considered an Asset of Cultural Interest and was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument belonging to the National Artistic Treasure by decree of June 3, 1931.
The primitive Romanesque church was built under the invocation of the Savior and Santa Maria. In 1098 Alfonso VI made the donation of land for its construction.
It was consecrated in 1106 by Bishop Don Pedro Nazar. It became a collegiate church around 1158 and a cathedral after 1232; since then it is the seat of the bishop of Calahorra-La Calzada.
The construction of the present church began in 1158, preserving much of the old one. These works were directed by the master Garçion. In the sixteenth century, the right part of the transept was raised to make the tomb of Santo Domingo.
It is built as a pilgrimage church, since it is located on the French way to Santiago de Compostela, with a characteristic ambulatory, behind the main altar, which allows circulation inside the cathedral.
Portada occidental
It is a Romanesque - Gothic transition façade, from the late thirteenth century, composed of seven smooth archivolts that do not have a capital and that project almost at ground level, directly on the bases. Later, a niche was built over the door to place inside a sculptural group, which is currently very deteriorated, representing Christ handing over the keys to San Pedro.
just finished the seven husbands of evelyn hugo and it destroyed me. it made me so unbelievably happy. it tore my heart out. it gave me a gentle hug. i am filled with a pleasant hopelessness and bittersweet hope. and peace.
The main reason kirk is so lonely is because has this incredibly heteronormative mindset. We see in how when visiting other aliens, he kinda projects this idea that you need to have a opposite gender lover to be truly happy. While it's also due to him being a mouthpiece for the standards at that time, I'm more interested that is due to this mindset he can't find fulfilment in his relationships on the enterprise. He feels stupidly alone and ignores that he could have the companionship he wants with other members of the crew. Tho, as the series progresses he somewhat relies more on the crew though not enough
