VENT!!
i hate how my mental illnesses/ disorders overlap with exact symptoms of bpd cuz it makes me feel like i’m like a bpd faker when i’ve never even claimed to have it..
same with my tics, makes me feel like i’m mocking ppl with tourette’s syndrome but i literally can’t control them just as much as someone with tourette’s
i also hate how no one believes i’m autistic (un/self diagnosed) because of the fact that ig i have pretty privilege and mask but maybe i should start showing more symptoms publicly (plus, year by year more and more symptoms/ traits become more prominent) so that PEOPLE FUCKIN BELIEVE THAT IM AUTISTIC

Speaking of Tyrest. A lot of people forget that he treated Pharma with absolute disdain, not only using him as a test subject for a clearly painful mass murder machine, but talking to Pharma like he saw him as nothing but some henchman to order around that was nothing more than a 'diseased cripple' if Tyrest hadn't come to rescue him.
Like it really is an interesting background dynamic with some curious implications, but when you look at fandom posts from around that issue/the years after, for some reason people just saw "Pharma worked with Tyrest" and concluded Pharma is a card carrying bigot ksjfnskxkd. Like yeah Pharma didn't do anything to stop Tyrest but it seems his main beef with the Autobots was with Ratchet in particular and maybe a general disdain for his ex-comrades. As well as continuing to hate Decepticons which like, not even the "good Autobots" are immune to (even in Pharma's introduction, First Aid says in his journal something like "yeah we all hate Decepticons, but Pharma REALLY hates them"). And despite what fandom likes to construe there's really no evidence in IDW1 that Autobots and Decepticons are different "races" or "types" of Cybertronians, so Pharma hating Decepticons really isn't a bigotry/robot racism thing. And instead probably has something to do with, idk, the 4 million year long galaxy-spanning blood feud war, or maybe being blackmailed and tortured into insanity by the Biggest and Most Decepticon-y of Decepticons.
Tyrest treated Pharma like trash, the other Decepticons working for Tyrest (how come no one ever brings that up btw) also hated him, so if anything it seems that Pharma was more of a rogue element only staying with Tyrest bc he was his best option and probably had no way to even escape.
I'm glad that at least in recent years the fandom has acquired a keen reading eye and good taste to finally recognize Pharma as the (accidentally) complex character he is instead of making him some posh, racist Starscream clone SHSJDGSGDH

In before I start seeing people bitching about rainbow capitalism MY favorite rainbow capitalism story is about Subaru. Yes the Japanese car company.
In the nineties, they were struggling. They were competing with a dozen other companies targeting the main demographic at the time: white men ages 18-35, especially after a failed luxury car launch with a new ad agency. “What we need is to focus on niche demographics,” they decided, and then focused on people who enjoyed the outdoors. The Subaru was excellent at driving on dirt roads that many other vehicles couldn’t at the time, so it was perfect for all those off-road campers; they started making all-wheel drive standard in all their cars to help with that. And the people who wanted cars to go do outdoor stuff? Lesbians.
Okay. Of course it wasn’t only lesbians buying Subarus. They’re on the list with educators, health-care professionals, and IT people. But the point is, this Japanese car company interviewed this strange demographic (single, female head of household) and realized one important factor: They were lesbians. They liked to be able to use the cars to go do outdoorsy stuff, and they liked that they could use the cars to haul stuff rather than a big truck or van. Subaru had a choice to make then. They had four other demographics they could market to, after all--the educators, the health-care professionals, IT professionals, and straight outdoorsy couples. Their company didn’t hinge on this one “problematic” demographic.
And they decided “fuck it,” and marketed to lesbians anyway. This included offering benefits to American gay and lesbian employees for their domestic partners, so it didn’t look like a cash grab. (This was not a problem. They already offered those in Canada.)
Yes, there was some backlash. They got letters from a grassroots group accusing them of promoting homosexuality, and every letter said they’d no longer be buying from Subaru. “You didn’t buy from us before, either,” Subaru realized, and ignored them. It helped that the team really cared about the plan, and that they had many straight allies to back them up. There was also some initial backlash when Subaru hired women to play a lesbian couple in the commercial, but they quickly found that lesbians preferred more subtlety; “XENA LVR” on a license plate, or bumper stickers with the names of popular LGBTQ+ destinations, or taglines of “Get out. Stay out.” that could be used for the outdoors--or the closet.
Subaru said “We see you. We support you.” They sponsored Pride parades and partnered with Rainbow Card and hired Martina Navratilova as spokeswoman. They put their money where their mouth is and went into it whole hog. In a time where companies did not want to take our money, Subaru said, “Why not? They’re people who drive.” And that was groundbreaking.

I'm sorry I don't get why it matters if my team dusts the tops of the platforms the orchids sit on when no one can see the tops of the platforms unless they're stupidly tall, and especially when the stupid floor polishers and general maintenance literally push dust and dirt and debris down from the Cafe area onto those platforms every single day. 'It should be easy to do' okay then, you do it then. I said 'we're trying' because it is impossible to keep up with bc if we haven't done that day's dusting yet when store leadership get step stools and peer at the platform tops to see if we've cleaned they obvs will look dirty, and bc ive either been out sick, doing inventory, or HELPING YOUR DEPARTMENT for the past 2 weeks. Sorry yeah I have '3 full time tms' in floral but even when all 3 of us are here u don't LET ME HAVE ALL 3 OF US! And if a day is me and one tm, and I'm sick/unable to come in,then it's just the one tm doing everything, or if they call out and it's just me, etc - how is one person supposed to do EVERYTHING and Not go overtime or take their break late??? Ffs. And again, recently I've been in produce more often than floral. Yeah 'helping' ok but if I said we couldn't bc we have to dust the p.o.p areas u'd be annoyed to say the least..........
